Mattingly recently finished a complete demo and rebuild of my 20 year old driveway. From the initial estimate visit to the final sealing and clean-up, I was impressed and pleased with the professionalism and communication of everyone involved. The rainy weather in July proved to be a challenge and required some minor rescheduling but my Project Coordinator, John, always kept me informed and was quick to answer any questions I had. Scott and his demo crew were fascinating to watch. The skill with which they operated the various equipment was amazing and I was especially pleased with the care they took to protect my irrigation system and landscaping. I have received many compliments on how great my new drive looks and I would definitely use them again for any future projects.

We hired Mattingly for a stamped patio in our backyard and could not be happier with the outcome. We had gotten at least 4 other estimates before selecting Mattingly Concrete. Their price was by far the best. Our initial meeting was with Jesse a Project Manager for Mattingly. He was very friendly and did an outstanding job of explaining every detail of the project, took measurements and answered all of our questions. Tom Walsh was the Project Manager for our project who came out a few days before starting the project to speak with us and answer questions. He gave us a Timeline and showed up ready to work at exactly the times he said he would, he texted us daily with updates until completion. Very professional. Great experience from making the call for site survey and quote to the final inspection. On time and good communication from sales, staff, and the job Forman. Quote and approval documents all completed online. The cost was fair and the difference between my dingy old asphalt drive and the new bright clean concrete drive is amazing.If you are having work done, do the planning early in the year, they get very busy and have to work around the weather.

Wanted $2500 to replace 48 sq of concrete (3 sidewalk panels). They told me there was a $2500 minimum, but would make an exception since they will be LITERALLY right across the street replacing 3 driveway panels at my neighbors house. Maybe good for big jobs, but not interested in smaller ones even when they are across the street. I will gladly take my money somewhere else!!!!RESPONSE: I will agree that my wording was too strong, and it has been removed.I will say you have done large projects for my friends, and I know firsthand the quality of your crews workmanship. The crux of my issue is saying you have a $2500 minimum and sending an itemized listing to force the project to come in at that exact minimum. I was VERY upfront about the entire situation when when I spoke to the lady on the phone. The last thing I wanted to do was to waste my time or yours since I am familiar with the industry. She even put me on hold to check with someone to see if it was a possibility of having your crew do my job when they had had downtime across the road, and she indicated it was. I would have more respect if she just said we really cannot do that OR we are not interested as there would not have been a review at all. Instead, you send me a ludicrous estimate.I hope this review helps you change your business model. More than anything, I just feel I need to warn others, older Americans maybe on a fixed budget, with small jobs to look elsewhere for a service provider. This estimate clearly shows you have no issue doing small jobs provided they have HUGE PROFIT MARGINS. These are the FACTS, and you can cry foul all you want.

Mattingly Concrete did work at my neighbors house, while doing that work they damaged my property and and an adjoining property other side (backed over their mail box broke off) i own property at stop sign their trucks must turn right on to get to job site ( this is a residential neighborhood) i stopped and warned their driver of bid semi cement trucks turning right too sharp going into my yard ( which i take meticulous care of) i even put 5 stakes in ground painted fluorescent orange with yellow Caution tape wrapped barrier with. Next day they wipe out entire corner and putting huge truck tire imprints in my yard ( i also caught this on my RING video) i notified driver to have his company contact me, next day i walked to thier job site and told workers to have foreman contact me, and i have left 3 voice mail messages at the work phone (which is manipulated so you never can talk to a human representative only messages can be left) i will pursue this legally but customers can be held accountable as much as the sub contractor. If you see one of the Mattingly Concrete trucks BEWARE they cause damage to your property and they DO NOT CARE !

Great communication from quote request to finishing the job. Started the job when scheduled and finished in the amount of time quoted (lost a day to rain). Project manager was Nate and he did a great job making sure everything was done as requested. His communication throughout was great - really unusual with many contractors today. If you dont want to worry about it, use Mattingly.

Mattingly recently removed a 23 year old deteriorated driveway and front porch and replaced both with new. I was in the construction industry for 35 years and I am a particular client. All along the way, each member of the Mattingly team kept me informed of their progress and handled all of the work in a professional manner. Extra care was taken to protect our existing lawn and plantings. The work was completed on schedule and looks great. I would recommend this crew to anyone.

The poured driveway looks amazing. Honestly better than I expected: leveled and custom fit to the lot of my old house. When I called with questions I received clarification promptly and with consideration of my investment in the project.

The company and supervisor were quick on response once receiving information to begin a quote and communicative regarding the timeline of events (when the project would begin and how long it would take). The only delay that occurred was due to weather. Workers would quick, precise, and friendly. Would recommend.

I received quotes from numerous companies for nearly a year. We needed to pull out our blacktop driveway, expand/replace with concrete. Our experience with Mattingly was different from the beginning. Will gave an honest and fast quote. He was available for questions when needed and allowed us talk through options. When the crew came on install day they were VERY tentative. I was out of town and Tom made sure to text and keep me in the loop the entire time. I ask a lot of questions and get anxious at times and Tom was quick to calm, which is very important to me when working on a big project like this. Their customer service is top notch which is very important to me. We will be using Mattingly for all of our concrete projects and will continue to give their info out to those needing work done. And their pricing is very affordable, which is a plus!

We hired Mattingly to pour a new patio. They tore up our side yard after we asked them to put down plywood to protect our yard and our neighbors yard. They did not, and we had to pressure them to do the right thing. We understand a bit of collateral damage, but we asked them to do this ahead of time, it was in the contract, and therefore they begrudgingly helped pay to replace dirt and grass. In the last month, roughly 3 months after the work was done, we already have a crack in the patio. The steps were poured poorly, and not finished in an esthetic way. The brush marks were only on half of the patio, and out of the gate, the color of the patio was not even. We were never asking for reduced cost, or financial allowances for the poor work. What we wanted was the quality of work that they advertised. Now, every time we walk out onto our new patio, it is a reminder of poor work and money wasted.

Initially, my experience with Mattingly was good. They responded quickly, created a plan to replace my crumbling front step and began work within a reasonable amount of time.The reason I knocked two stars off is admittedly partially my fault. I had not realized that there was a slope in the soil where the walkway was installed. This creates a low point right before the front step and this low point frequently floods during heavy rain (this problem wasnt apparent with the old, brick walkway). While I could have noticed this myself, I am not an expert and I wish this problem would have been brought to my attention during planning as a small amount of landscaping could have fixed the issue.All in all, the front step looks very nice but Im afraid Im stuck with an expensive repair to stop the flooding.

We had a back patio extension installed. It was much better than we had even thought possible. Once the demo was complete the field super came up with a better idea than we had thought possible. It worked out amazing and my wife and I couldnt be happier.

A+ Service and craftmanship. Mattingly replaced an old 2,000 sq. ft. asphalt drive with a 3,500 sq. ft. concrete drive, garage side, and walkway. We could not be any happier. The recommended design and communications were top notch from start to finish. The attention to detail was very professional resulting in clean, straight and distinctive lines. The job from start to finish took less than four days. In addition, our drainage that would congregate at the front of the garage has been corrected and now drains to the side towards a dry detention area. We consulted with four concrete contractors prior to choosing Mattingly. We diligently scoped their previous jobs and Mattingly was not the lowest or highest bidder – but their prior work is what sold us. We highly recommend their work!

-Consider Others- I picked Mattingly over others due to the strong reputation for quality. I had a 3-bay garage concrete slab replaced as well as the addition of a ~5-foot apron with NDS drain. The slab ended up okay. There are a few visually uneven spots. They told me there would be a “laser level”, but there never one used. As for the apron and NDS drain, the first attempt the drain was totally uneven and crooked. After looking up proper installation of the drain, I would argue they don’t follow manufacturer recommendations and have no idea how to do it properly. They had to completely remove the apron and re-do it. The second time, it was better, but there are still imperfections that would not be there if they really knew how to install it and had any level of attention to detail. I would consider others if looking at basic concrete and NOT RECOMMEND them doing the NDS style drain. 3 stars for an okay job and willingness to re-do a botched section of the project.

Thomas Walsh and his crew delivered what they promised. They were friendly,professional and easy to talk with. Im in the concrete forensic business, and Ive never met a crew who removed concrete they had already placed because it didnt live up to THEIR standards. They also had to work around uncooperative weather, and did so with care for their work.

Need to pay more attention to the details. Make sure all edges are done. Need consistent brooming. Use a longer stait edge to eliminate valleys and bird baths, finish corners. The crew came in and worked hard probably short handed which lead to some issues so they cut a few dollars which indicates to me they knew it was not a top quality job.

Tom and team ran into equipment issues but kept me fully informed. Still completed on time. Communication is excellent. Highly recommend!

Next time youre hiring out some concrete work, consider whether your contractor actually cares enough about the members of the community he asks for business to share the road in return. For someone whose business primarily deals with heavy equipment, attitudes like this are unacceptable.

We didn’t even get another estimate on our job because of the work we’ve seen Mattingly do and because of the word of mouth. We weren’t disappointed. Granted, they may not be as affordable as some other companies, but their work and results are well worth the cost.Our rep who came out for the estimate was efficient and quite thorough and didn’t leave out any details. Granted, our job was scheduled 4mos out, and I got a call from Caleb who came to the house to go over the details of what we were to expect and for what to prepare when the demo process began. Everything got a little delayed (what isn’t in this hard time) partly due to weather but contact was constant and up to date and we we never in the dark.Both the demo crew and pouring crew were all very professional, friendly, and frankly, nice to have around. The results of the entire crew speak for themselves. Our sidewalk, driveway, and side pad on the garage are amazing and we will always use Mattingly for any concrete work here on out.

Will, the owner, comes out as a nice guy. But be very careful. Hes not in control and has no idea what his sloppy workers are doing and has no idea of whats going on. Hes a very good salesman. Hell sell you. Thats for sure. But his guys are SLOPPY and their work is SLOPPY! To top that, within less than a month, the concrete cracked already. I highly recommend against doing business with this company.

Great communication before the job and after. Cleanup crew left something to be desired; in addition to the expected 4 inch gap around the perimeter, there were a lot of concrete bits left in the yard. There were a few sharp peaks on the surface that were able to be smoothed after they were pointed out. Overall the job was done efficiently and on schedule. For the final product (good/great not excellent), the steep price and the cleanup, the company has earned average marks.

We used Mattingly at our previous home. They did such a good job that we used them to replace the drive at our new home. They also added a concrete patio and walkway. We are extremely pleased at the job that Mattingly did. Their paving is top-notch, they communicate very well, and show up on-time.

The driveway work was great. The cement stoop repair left something to be desired and can receive no contact from company rep Caleb Grimes.Update: Will Mattingly was not aware of this problem. He and Nate followed up with a promise to fix this issue in the spring. Too cold to fix now.

I was very pleased from the estimate to the cleanup. John was an excellent manager who was polite, professional and detail oriented. They installed a new porch that looks great! It’s just what I wanted.

Had them build a 12x17 stamped concrete patio. We scheduled months in advance, and even with unpredictable whether they were only a day behind schedule (recent rain) and communicated with me well I’m advance. The project was completed in 4 days (Day 1 mold, Day 2 pour and stamp, day 3 color, day 4 seal), and they cleaned up every trace of concrete spillage in the yard. I even think they raked my dirt as it looks slightly re-landscaped which was more than expected.Neighbors have given me several compliments, and we already are enjoying it.Pricing was competitive, but fairly avg for the work requested. The estimate was 100% accurate with no hidden charges occurring as we neared the project.I received a call daily with progress from Nate to let me know what had been completed, and what was planned for the next day.Overall: Very pleased*Note I did not receive any discounts, incentives, or payments for this review.

5 star experience: the crew leader, David, kept in timely communication and answered questions. They showed up exactly when they said they would unless there was a weather issue; that did cause the project to start 1 day late, but they communicated this beforehand. After receiving 4 bids from various contractors we chose Mattingly Concrete to remove our existing patio and install a new concrete patio. Their quote wasnt the least expensive but they were the only company that actually came to our home to look at the logistics and provided a complete quote. Mattingly Concrete, Inc. is a great company to hire for concrete work. They were great at keeping us informed when they would start our job. ( Delayed due to rainy spring.) The crew arrived as scheduled and we went over the proposed job and then the work started. All of the men were polite and they did a great job! We will hire them for future work if needed.

I met a total of five people from Mattingly Concrete.I first met the estimated who looked at the job site and answered my questions and quoted a price.A few weeks later i met three men who tore outthe old concrete for the walkway and it was very heavy and hard work. It took a long time while theyclesned and prepared the area and put in side slatsTo hold the wood edging. Then concrete was very carefully poured and and marked with horizontal division lines. They surrounded the work area with wooden pegs & yellow tape. Two days later two men came to take away any excess & pack down the dirtand grass. Then a sealer was sprayed on and it will dry for 24 hours and that’s it. I think all the workers were very dedicated and very nice people. I wouldrecommend Mattingly Concrete to everyone!Barbara Kennedy

After putting in a new driveway, our sidewalk was broken when the forms were being pulled up. No one told us it had happened. After pointing it out, the company made two very amateur attempts at repairing the sidewalk, both of which broke after just a few weeks. This is a company that advertises “Your trusted local Concrete Repair and Restoration experts”. Since their second attempt, phone calls and emails have gone unanswered. It’s really a shame that this review is being written because we were very happy with the work that was done installing the driveway. I would expect however, a reputable company to take ownership of a problem they caused, and that didn’t happen. Business ethics isn’t one of their strengths.

Everything was great except that the company they used to check utility lines did not check the back area and when the forms were removed it appears that damage was done to the electrical line to the garage . The electricity to the garage was killed and a temporary line is now in place but will. need to have further repairs.

I could not be happier with Mattingly Concrete. Even with all the set backs of Covid pandemic, they were responsive and willing to work with us to get the job done. After careful research of a lot of concrete contractors and comparing estimates, we chose Mattingly largely due to the fact that they do not subcontract any portion of their work. We did have cheaper estimates. Each and every employee that we had contact with was very professional and always helpful, explaining every step of their work. We had what we considered a fairly large driveway project and they delivered more than we could have expected. It’s great to see a local business thrive and expand. Thank You Mattingly! ONE MORE great review wont make a difference to this company, but Mattingly Concrete did a great job. Nate, the project manager, kept me appraised of EVERYTHING as the process went along. My drive is beautiful and certainly enhances my house. BTW, I got three estimates and chose Mattingly because the estimate was the most detailed and comprehensive.

Had Mattingly concrete come out to our place in Mt.Comfort to pour a slab for our new barn. Couldnt say more about the foreman David and his crew. They were here bright and early, obliged every request I had, communicated progress along the way, and the slab looks fantastic. Great job guys!

My job was a large one and took a full five-day week from start to finish. The two crews - one for removal and forming, and one for pouring and finishing - were both very professional and sensitive to my questions and observations. Nothing but cooperation from everyone involved. Outcome was excellent and no regrets to go with concrete over asphalt, and no regrets going with Mattingly as the contractor of choice.

They were great! It looks great! They were very professional. We had exposed aggregate that looks great! I did have to ask them to clean the exposed aggregate before they sealed it due to places that looked cloudy from the product they used to expose the pebbles in the cement.

Pricing was competitive with other estimates. Communication was outstanding, and they did a great job on our driveway and sidewalk. Everyone we had contact with was courteous and helpful. We would highly recommend.
