I could not be more pleased with the roof we got. Had a wind storm come thru that was something out of the wizard of oz. Michael Higbee came over and assessed the damage. He was more than amazing. he had this big ladder he pulled out of his truck and went up onto the roof and assessed the damage even though we have an older home with a very steep roof he conquered it. I would think he is a professional rock climber. He even talked to our insurance company about the damages and we ended up getting a brand new roof! Couldn’t be happier. Simply put, we have been GHOSTED! I will hold off on the name dropping but In reading through all the reviews, the many questions that come to mind are what happened? where did everybody go? and why? My wife and I have been (at least we thought) working with BBC and a couple gentlemen mentioned throughout all of these reviews since late fall of 2020 after BBC came to our home offering their service. I will admit, both are friendly, knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around. At first, the dialogue was timely and communication was on point. However, after our roof install in February, much has changed. I have called, texted, emailed, reached out to the CEO on LinkedIn and filled out the webpage questionnaire on two different occasions and we still have not gotten any answers or updates as to where we are on our existing projects. After setting up a meeting invite, my last communication with our original PM was via phone call June 20th stating they were running behind and asked if they could come by later that day. I agreed and then received a text from the other PM asking if we could meet them at the end of that week or that weekend. They never responded to me when I asked what day / time worked best. On July 6th, My wife called and spoke with a lady in the office who in an email, mentioned talking with her General Manager to find the quickest solution. We never heard back from her. Finally on July 14th I received a call from one of our PMs who stated he was reaching out to our insurance again and would call me back. Once again, we are in a holding pattern with zero communication / zero updates. I have asked BBC via email (June 28th) if our project is a lack of interest or simply not profitable for them. If so, please advise and we will move on to a different contracting group.

Came over after replacing my neighbors roof and asked if I would like them to check my roof too and I had a lot of damage. They explained everything to me and stayed with me while I called the insurance company.

After two failed estimates from Josh Smalling in Mooresville and Taylor’s Roofing in Morgantown. One refused the job and the other quoted $5000 more than what I paid. I went with a friends suggestion for Big Boys. The work they did was fabulous. Fast, clean and compassionate with my special circumstance. Chris took great care of me and sat explaining things in detail to this new widow woman . The cleanup after my job that entailed removing cedar shake and 2-3 layers of shingles was amazing. My only complaint was during our collaboration I had three different contractors. Chris, who moved; Ricky, who left then Dustin who also left. I’m not sure if the last two didn’t meet the standards Big Boys holds but either way I have left three voicemails with a question about my roof and then to check on an estimate for siding I’d requested from the last guy. It’s been 2 weeks without a returned call so I’m pulling the sign from my yard until they can recover from whatever reason things have declined lately. I’m guessing there may be struggles finding workers right now same as everyone else. Breaks my heart to give less than 5. I’d previously passed out business cards left and right.

Contractor’s sub more interested in going fast, did a average job. Very careless in protection patio wooden rails, damaged bushes from flying roofing and marks all over driveway. Company superintendent took care of repairs himself but subs could do a lot more to protect surfaces of home.

They removed our old roof, fixed the issues and damages caused by the previous incorrect installation of our roof (by a different team) and installed the new shingles all in one day. He was the first contractor that wanted to fix my roof correctly! For 3 years we have had other companies out to inspect our roof, with visible leak damage inside our home, but it has continued to get worse. Mike after inspecting our roof, just knew what needed to be done. After him going back and fourth with our insurance, they finally approved a new roof! It was not an easy process, but he just took care of it. Thank you for giving us a new roof and doing it, in a half day and for all the work you did to finally fix this ongoing problem!
