Overall ppls cars get broken into, your packages will be stolen, you can never find parking, there’s isn’t 24/7 patrol, if your unit isn’t the new remodeled unit then everything will fall completely apart on you (even in the new building you have to be careful) maintenance is a joke, IF they come out then the job is going to be half done and they will complete the maintenance request and never come back out unless you fill out another form online. Plan on breaking my lease and I know a few other neighbors are planning the same

Beautiful larger community near Eagle Creek. The Community has reasonable rent, with cozy floorplans, and the full gamete of convenient amenities. Many of the Floorplans I viewed feature larger size laundry rooms, with New washing machines & driers. The furnace system appeared to be new & the Kitchens were recently upgraded. The Property Manager is very friendly and committed to hosting a very safe & efficiency maintained community.

This place is a complete and utter joke when it comes to policy. I cant control my bank reversing a payment when funds were available to pay rent. As a result, they take away your ability to pay rent online for a year. That is very inconvenient and doesnt help them get their money any faster. I should have never renewed my lease here and took my chances elsewhere.

I have lived here a year now and have absolutely loved the space. The floor plans are large and the appliances like the washer and dryer provided in my unit have worked perfectly the whole year. The heat/AC has never given me problems. Utilities run pretty cheap as well. Parking isn’t an issue either.I do wish with the amenities like the pool and fitness were available during my lease (understandable with COVID). Other than that it has been a fairly good experience.I’m only giving 4 stars because the communication has lacked. Nobody in the office answers the phone. Sometimes emails take forever to be replied. When they do answer, they are normally polite. I did have problems with one employee which conveniently no longer works there.Overall good experience.

Garden Pointe Apartments is a wonderful community! Me and my grandmother appreciate the staff for their continued services and for taking the time to make me feel valued while walking around the property. There’s never an employee on staff that isn’t ready to service you with a smile on their face. The property manager knows how to run an efficient community and always is sure to communicate about any issues that arise and maintenance is very responsive and helpful!

I have lived here for over three years now and it has become more of a mess with each new owner. The current management company is not much better than the ones before. No one ever answers the phones or calls back. Two summers ago I was with out AC for a few months. I have made multiple maintenance request for problems with old appliances and toilet that should replaced but just put a few day fix on it only for it to break again. I have gotten exhausted with having to keep up with issues that should have resulted in a replacement and not “fix” in the first place. Now I have discovered that there is a extensive mold in my living room/ wall as well as mold on the walls. Plus there is mold all around my bathtub and around my toilet and under the floor around my toilet. I have an immune disease and has to get out of the environment immediately!I told them but no one responded. Finally someone responded saying I had to break my lease and pay a buyout. I emailed them back re-explaining the the urgent health concerns and that I had moved out and won’t be living there at all as of May 1. No response. There lease even has a clause about being able to vacate an apartment if it is uninhabitable. I have contacted by phone and email now multiple times and have even reached out to the corporate office(Fairlawn). Nothing!! I have lived in several apartments over the years and have never experienced such frustration.I also have had many electrical issues most likely from water in the walls and could easily cause fire. Avoid at all costs!!I have been a quiet tenant and payed my rent on time. And have always tried to have patience and understanding. But I have no idea why they won’t communicate with me. I am now in the process of contacting the Health Department.

I will have lived here for 2 years in October. Maintenance is pretty fast but they should wear masks and booties when entering apartments. I do see people cleaning up and making repairs to outside structures. The playground is pretty new. There is plenty of parking. My apartment is spacious with lots of closet space. The walls are thin and I can smell whatever my neighbors cook in the hall and through the walls. I live by the front so I here everybody coming and going. Not a bad place to live if this is what your budget can afford.

Make sure you get all details upfront because they do not care about you, they will tell there is a unit available and make you jump through a bunch of hoops and then lease it to someone else without giving you a proper chance. To expensive for how they look. pool doesnt work, no dog park, dingy ugly hallways and laundry unit. Also, first floor units dont have washer/dryer hookups, you have to share one one washer/dryer with four other apartments. Or be on the second floor and pay and extra $30 per month to rent them. The apartments are an ok size, nice neighborhood. but thats about all the positives. The application process is terrible. Communication is lacking. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Base rent is 719 on the cheaper 1 bedroom, plus $55 for water, $20 if you have a pet and then you have to be responsible for electric/gas. Its too expensive, not really worth it. If you are going to spend that much per month go somewhere nicer. I was considering because I am desperate to move, but you better be ready for anything to change with no notice, Unprofessional. I haven’t even lived here yet and they’re already giving me the hardest time I’ve ever had to deal with in applying for an apartment. It’s to the point where I’ve stated 3 times I don’t even want to apply with them anymore but because they insist I continue to move forward. They’d rather text me than answer the phone, keep asking me questions I’ve already stated, asking me for documentation I’ve already provided, asking me for MORE documentation when literally all you have to do is provide income, your ID, last residency to apply for any apartment. I’m starting to think I’m just not wanted there. Would be great if I could just get my money back for this horrible experience!

As far as I can tell they only care about collecting youre money and nothing else. Its a borderline money scheme. Good rent though but the the customer service will make you wish you paid more to live anywhere else. Its a shame because its like they dont even care to try at all.Edit: theres no need for me to reach out to you personally.Your quicker at responding to a random review than you are at getting back to your actual residents in need. I had a great experience from moving in, living here (13months) and moving out. Id say its one of the best apartments Ive ever lived in the city of Indianapolis, IN. I only moved out because I moved to a different state or else, Id have stayed. I loved my one bedroom apartment because it was big and spacious (700+ SQFT) and it was very affordable for me. GardenPointe Apartment is located in the center of everything with close proximity and access to amenities such as: Shopping centers on Lafayette Rd, Georgetown Rd & 38th Street, Recreational parks like Eagle Creek Park, Georgetown Rd & 62nd St Park and Soccer fields, Lafayette Square Mall, Pike Plaza, Walmart Super-Center on 4545 Lafayette Rd, All Service Businesses, three major Interstates: I-65 South (Downtown-INDY), I-65 North (Towards Chicago), I-465 South (Towards (Indianapolis International Airport & Plainfield, IN, Etc) and three major roads & intersections of Indianapolis Northwest side of the city such as: Lafayette Rd, Georgetown Rd, & 38th Street. Every time I had an issue or problem, it was easily resolved, except during COVID-19 rules and guidelines, there was some delays but thats understandable because of the pandemic outbreak. Theres a Swimming Pool which was almost never readily open but thats for people who like swimming, cuz I dont use public swimming pools, and theres a gym, but was closed due to COVID-19 outbreak. I left the apartment under renovations, and its a secured entrance residents only living, which means, if you dont live there, you wont have an entry access to the building, unless someone youre visiting lets you in. There used to be a Security Patrol Car onsite for the first 6months of living here, but then, I never saw them again In January, 2020. Everyone might have a different experience living here, so why not experience it for yourself too? Thats all folks, hope my review helps you make a better choice of living @GardenPointe Apartments.Sincerely,Benjamin Gabriel Kposowa

While I love the refurbished interior, It is not enough to make up for the truly terrible maintenance work and the questionable neighbors here. They have regularly marked maintenance requests as completed, when they had never been addressed. Even with serious issues, it took months of repeatedly reaching out to receive maintenance. Edited to add: While I appreciate the response to my publicly posted negative review, I still have not received a call back in response to the voicemails I left for the apartment office and the leasing company. Please don’t move here. I have lived here over a year and renewed my lease against my better judgement.Over the last year, the electricity and water to the whole building have been frequently shut off for maintenance without advance notification. I work from home and I have randomly had the electricity for the building shut off in the middle of my work day.Once the maintenance men locked themselves out of the breaker room in our building and they accidentally blew a fuse or something trying to bust the door open instead of using a key. Our electricity was out for a few hours several times over the following week because of that. The FedEx hub for this area informed me that their drivers won’t deliver to the entire complex. According to FedEx, our apartment office said it is “not their responsibility to make sure packages can be delivered to us”.When I moved in, the lock for our building was on the door inside of our entry way, and delivery drivers were able to access our doorbells and leave door tags on our mailboxes if we weren’t home. They changed it and put the lock on the outside door to the entryway, and now we can’t get packages delivered anymore. I have to have all of them held for pickup somewhere else, since the office won’t accept packages due to Covid. They could easily fix this by putting the lock on the building door inside the entryway (like it had been before), but they refuse to do it and they never call me back when I leave voicemails for the office about it. Property leasing companies make a lot of money off of our rent. They should be able to afford changing a lock from one door to another - especially when they are the ones that changed it in the first place.I need to be able to have packages delivered to my place of residence, especially during Covid.

Absolutely the worst maintenance out of any apartment myself or my roommate have lived in. Instead of fixing what needs to be done they will literally either delete or ignore your maintenance requests. I for one have had a toilet that’s leaked for the past six weeks. They’ll occasionally show up to do the work but if you have the same issue again forget about it. When I moved in both towel racks fell off the wall, something I annotated in the sheet you have to fill out when you first move in, and they never followed up with it so I had it fixed myself. They don’t know how to distribute the keys you need for your apartment so you may be locked out due to their negligence. If you can chose somewhere else, do.UPDATE: They ripped the carpet out of the main area a week ago and never replaced it. There’s spike strips lining the stairs that you could stick your foot on, along with a razor blade thrown in the corner for good measure (not an exaggeration) In addition to this I put in two requests for the bathtub to be reglazed since it’s bare and of course nothing’s happened. Oh, the toilet is still broken. For the love of god, don’t move here. The positive reviews for this place have to be coerced.

I highly recommend looking for another complex before moving here. I honestly hate posting a negative review, but after 2 months with AC I feel I need to warn others to honestly look else where. I have lived in several different apartments in the Indy area over the years and I have never experienced anything like this. Things haven’t been too bad until the now 2 months with no air conditioning. The apartments are now run by Fairlawn out of Illinois. I had been without AC for around one month with the old company. Now it’s been one month without AC with Fairlawn. My work orders had been ignored for several weeks under Fairlawn until I posted a one star review to their google page. Then communication opened up. Until a week ago. I emailed the property manager back telling her that it was still not working and pointed out how I am still paying full rent for an apartment I’m not able to fully use. I pay pet rent for my two older cats, but because they have health issues made worse by being in a hot apartment all day and night they have been living at my parents for almost a month now. I have been showering at my gym because the moisture from even a cold shower still adds to the humidity in my bathroom and apartment. When I first moved in two years ago there was some mildew issues in my bathroom that had to be dealt with. I’m afraid that will all come back. I pay rent for a washer and dryer through an outside company, but I haven’t been able to barely use them either. And definitely not the dryer. Plus, due to the amount of fans and the portable AC unit I have throughout my apartment just so I don’t have to live in a hotel during all this my electric bill has shot way up more than I was prepared to pay. When I come home it’s so hot I just sit in front of the fans and not move much. This also means cleaning my apartment has been incredibly difficult and I can’t stand a messy apartment. Especially the living area. But I can only be away from the fan and moving for a couple of minutes at a time until I start to feel light headed. And like I said management is doing nothing. They keep sending maintenance to fix it. All they do is turn on the unit which just turns on the fan and blows fan temperature air around, but never cools. The thermostat is set for 65 degrees yet my apartment temperature never goes lower than 80! When they turn on the unit it will blow constantly for hours(running up my electric bill too) and not make a dent in the heat. The out side unit never turns on. I have told them this multiple times, over the phone, online work orders, in person, in emails, and even now to a lady with the 24 hour maintenance line. Still not even an update from management. I have even been told every time they come out to “fix” the AC that when I tell them it’s still not working they tell me I need a new AC. Last time they told me that I said I know, I have been told that multiple times now, which is why I’m asking when is my new into being installed? I’m really a patient person, but this is crazy! I have never experienced such poor management in my 9 years of apartment renting.Oh also they advertise a pool but it hasn’t been open since for two weeks last summer (2018). So I can’t even jump in the supposed pool to cool off. I wish you the best of luck in finding a place and if you have to choose Garden Pointe I hope you have a better experience than I have.

RUN and FAST! This place will take your money and RUN you around in circles. I’m so tired of killing ROACHES!!! I’ve called the states code enforcement when I was exhausted of dealing with Fairlawns excuses on the black mold which is under my carpets, growing in my window frames, my bathroom walls which still has an internal leak after being “fixed” and tore out twice. My toilet is not bolted to the floor so it constantly moves while in use, I have no towel racks, and my floor is completely unfinished. They have a maintenance manager but he doesn’t follow up to make sure his workers understand what needs to be completed or come back the next day. I shouldn’t have to try to explain in my broken Spanish what needs to be fixed in my own apartment when they send workers who speak absolutely zero English, which of course causes delays and confusion. All of which works in passing the blame in Fairlawns management. All of the balconies have mold underneath as they haven’t sealed them properly. When they paint a new unit they are allowed to use “spray paint” with no proper ventilations or notification to neighbors. I’m pregnant and myself and my husband have had to walk into a few empty apartments which were renovated in my building and open windows and the sliding doors because we were being “choked out” because of the toxic fumes. After my first bathroom renovations the mold was spray painted and never treated. My bathroom vanity still leaks underneath after they changed it from the old moldy one. Guess I should appreciate that I only have to use a bucket to collect water and prevent additional growth of black mold. My bathroom floor is missing base boards and the flooring is incomplete. I’ve had Air Quality Control come and they were the ones who found the mold in my carpets and all around my furnace and bedroom vents. This place is run like a crazy house with the office personal never reaching out or taking responsibility for their poor performances. So much work has had to be redone because it was never done properly in the first place. With all of the mold we should have been moved to a new unit not forced to stay in the apartment while they tore out walls, sanded and sprayed with my end results still being the same. We make so many exceptions and arrangements and never withheld the rent! It’s always been on time for the last TWO YEARS. My husband is African and I’m sure this is why his treatment has been so poor here they think we deserve to live in Cucaracha-ville filth and squalor. They should rename the Projects of Garden Pointe. Shame on you Fairlawn!! Move somewhere else unless you enjoy your water shut off multiple times a month, gas leaks, animal poop on side walks, roaches, mice, and the constant hassle of convincing management you need things done!

I havent put fiod in my home in 6 months. To then be told by management (Cassie who quit) that the tenents on the other side of me, come to find out they are the ones where my issue is coming from. The walls are thin and the water surges (ranges from hot to cold while in shower) in the winter but not as bad in the summer. Its like a little ray of sunshine in the ghetto. I got in on a special so the prices for me are perfect for a single person working a $10hr job. the staff is very friendly and maintence is great. Everytime there has been one bug, they come up right away to spray and they are never seen again. I love this place and I believe you will enjoy it as well. Locked entry ways and washer/dryer in every building. I have enjoyed living here and I have resigned to a 2 bedroom at a reasonable price. Other apts in the area are either too high, too small for the price or too many utilites. electric and gas are the only ones you pay here.
