A few months ago the shop got new owners and I was worried about a new tech doing my nails. I shouldnt have been worried. They did an AMAZING job on my pedicure and a fill that made my nails look brand new. Im in love and I cant wait to show them off!

Eric and Jackie are both amazing people to be around. If youre going to get your nails done either way might as well get them done around awesome people. I love the relaxed atmosphere that comes with this salon and how the owners make you feel like old friends every time you come in. You cant find personal customer service like they offer anywhere. As highly as I recommend them on their customer service the sick work Eric can do on your nails is 10 times more impressive! Hands down Ive yet to find a salon with the amount of talent Eric offers. They have a ton of fun options for your nails and his free hand skills are insane. This guy is seriously a hidden gem for Kansas City. Ill never go anywhere else for my nails. If yall havent been in you need to give them a chance. Call,make your appointment,prepare to be seriously impressed.

When COVID hit and chaos started I decided to wait until it was over to even think about going out to get my nails done again after 10 months and COVID still around but controlled “i guess” I decided to go to my favorite spot a place where I know was going to do a good job. I went and to my surprise the owners I knew weren’t around any more that’s when I met the new owners unfortunately my first time back wasn’t as well (not going into detail) but the point is that they made it right and did very well. I recommend this place and will continue to go!

They were really nice, was able to get a Gel pedicure for 2 as a walk-in. Really happy with the way my toes look! Will be going back.

The guy that did my nails was in to big of a hurry one of my nails is crooked and I had him paint my nails and he didnt even get the paint off the side of my finger. I will never go there again.

I get pedicures all the time and this is up there with the worst experience I’ve ever had. They didn’t ask what kind of pedicure I wanted so gave me the basic one, I went there so I could get a good massage and exfoliation and the works. Told me I should have asked when I got there. Then she painted my nails like a 5 year old. Looked AWFUL! And the whole time she was loudly talking with her coworker which made the whole experience not relaxing at all.

I have been going to Henry and Tracey for many years and would never go anywhere else. Their products they use are of high quality so you dont have any nails breaking or paint chipping. Tracey gives a pedicure like no other. She really takes her time and makes sure you are satisfied. Henry does the nails and has a fine tuned technique that he swears by. They both have been doing nails for well over 20 years and it shows in the quality of the work. Very highly recommend for any spa service needed.

I was introduced to Henry and Tracy @ Golden Nails by my Husband. I have been going them for many years as their customer. I watched thier babies grow up to mature young men. Kenny their oldest son is young but he has his licence. He is awesome too. They are like family to my Husband and I. I will highly recommend them to everybody including men. Its not just a women thing, guys you need to spoil yourselves too. If you want it done right and professional they are family to get it done. If you on a budget ask for the prices up front. We are all adults right???? Just make sure you dont get carried away and than cant pay them for their hard work. 💅💅

This was the first place I ever went for nails (manicures and full sets) as well as eyebrow waxes. I have not switched up in the 8 years of coming here. They are normally busy, but always well worth the wait! I always reccomend to anyone who asks, this is the place to go!

I’ve been here a couple of times the lady is very nice and has always done a great job on my nails!I normally go to ruby nails in blue springs but I didn’t have time to run my errands and run out there. This was by my sons school so it worked out because of the time. No waiting other than like 5 min which is great!Problem I had was the young man who put on my full set left spaces in between my real nail and acrylic, then the coffin nail shape look made them too thin and they were too far on one side of the nail so it was oddly shaped on a couple of them. I politely showed him and explained that I didn’t like how they looked and was concerned about possible fungus under the two nails that were not glued together. I’m not trying to be rude or upset you. He then proceeded to get the owner I believe and I let him know quietly this was the worst set I’ve ever had and told him about the separation. He basically said they were fine and I won’t get fungus but we can take them off. So I let him know I would pay for product used he then told me no we don’t do that here. After he removed the nails he told me that next time I need to tell them not to cut so much off the side because I have small nail beds. (At ruby nails I just tell them coffin nails and it’s always perfect.)Secondly I asked to leave the young man $5 for his time and the owner told me no we don’t do that here with an attitude then opened the door and said sorry you had issues and didn’t like them and then shut the door on me as I walked out! He was rude and all I wanted was a full set that looked good! I also think the young man deserved something for his time. I wasn’t asking for anything free I even offered to pay for the full set and have them soaked off so I could go to my usual place. It’s ok if a customer is upset and didn’t like something but I would have come back had you treated me better!

They where gentle and took there time . I love my nails . I had bad experience before with a different nail place . This one change my mind that not everyone is the same. I was a bit scare to go in and not like it. But I was approved wrong . Ill be coming here more often 😉

I have been going to Golden Nails for years!!! I love their service. I recently went to another local nail shop in a pinch. I had the worst experience their and my nails looked horrible! I will only go to Golden nails because I know my nails will look great and I will get great service!

Ive been a customer of Henry and Tracys for many years. Normally things go really well but my latest experiences have been far from pleasant. I go to get my eyebrows waxed and the last few times Ive called I was told they were too busy to do it. The first time it was okay, I understand. Then it happened the next three times I called as well. So today I had more time and just went in and waited for over an hour before I decided to leave. Waited that long for something that takes less than 5 minutes to do. They do a good job but the wait is just ridiculous! I will find another place to go to from now on.

I came in with my two sons. And the man asked my children why they were not in school. My oldest son age 7 told him we are homeschooled. The man said oh thats bad no friends... I said yes they have friends through soccer and other sports plus we have a wonderful church family full of children that my boys can interact with. He said still no good. I sat for a few moments and decided to look up the reviews because I was waiting and the comments above is all he had said to me. He never asked me what I needed done or how they could help me. I am so grateful I did that because the reviews told what I had just seen with my own eyes. Do not waste your time on this place. .

It was a very chill and relaxing place, love the nails they gave me, got a lot of compliments, recommend for people who likes long nails, the staff was nice and got to know me, cant wait to go back :) September.25th was my visit.

I came to this place thinking it was going to be great, it took an hour until the lady started painting my nails, I asked her for a specific design I had a screenshot of on my phone. She rudely laughed and said “haha, your nails are way to short for this design, you can’t get it” I said okay, her husband was the person that was going to paint my nails and the Lady was talking to him in a different language about me. I knew they were talking about me because of the ugly looks they gave me. The man looked at my nails and said “ Do you bite your nails?” He rudely laughs as well and said “Ew, don’t bite your nails!” I then got my nails painted white even though the design I asked for would have been able to be painted on! I was also reading some of the bad reviews and some of them was responded by the owner of the shop saying rude stuff to them even though it was a bad quality nail salon and spa they had! It is super disrespectful there, they won’t have conversations with you and it feels VERY awkward! There is very tiny space to even sit, all the nail colors looked really old! I 100% don’t recommend, and it’s most likely the owners are going to respond rudely to this as well!

My sister took me to this place & let me tell you.....It was clean, and welcoming.Now the owner is a friendly and professional gentleman. He did a great job on my sister. I on the other hand was too busy try to ensure my hand didnt make contact with his wifes cheek. She speaks to you with no respect!!!Anyone patronizing a business should be treated with respect, and feel the desire to want to return sfter visiting your business. Needless to say they provided no serves for myself & my sister has not been back.Dont spend your money where it isnt appreciated!

The lady Tracy who did my toes was very nice and patient. She did a great job with the design. Down side is that it took about 45 min to get into a chair.

BeSt place In independence. The owners are always nice and professional. Yes, they are busy so there may be a wait. Solution for that is to make an appointment during the week. I dont mind waiting for quality work. They always use clean and sanitized tools.

My experience here was very uncomfortable. There was no conversation during my pedicure. The employee seemed put out that she had to do my nails. She made my toes hurt instead of feeling great. I will not be going back.

I have been going to Henry for my nails for about 14 years. He knows my nails and exactly how I want them! They are VERY clean! There is a wait most of the time but its worth it!

Job done efficiently but customer service leaves alot to be desired. Really had to concentrate on ignoring them in order to not be agitated. I asked for particular add- ons and they repeatedly responded with the fact that it will cost so many X amount of dollars. I laughed and said, Your Point?! I have money or else I wouldnt be here. Which credit card should I use? Really a choice of convenience popping in today. If you want jewelry or designs this isnt the place they have no patience.

My friend recommended this place and I thought her nails looked great! So I drove all the way from Gladstone to get them done here. After waiting an hour to be seen. Then another hour and half getting them done, I am VERY unsatisfied. Im having professional Al photos taken tomorrow and my nails look half assed. The lady was rude about the design I wanted at first and when she was finished, it looks sloppy. The lines arent straight or crisp. They look messy. My nails arent completely squRe like I asked for either. I couldve done a better job myself. I will not be back.

Went to get a full gel set. I wasnt asked what shape I wanted them in. Instead I was given square and bulky nails. The gel on my nails are so thick. Ive had them on for two weeks and my hands still arent used to them. I wouldnt recommend Golden Nails, neither would I go again.

I will NEVER go back! Was treated very badly. It started as rude and turned disrespectful. I had to stop myself from crying in front of everyone. My hands and nails are MY BODY! And I felt violated that I wasnt listened to about what I did and didnt want. They will over drill and file and buff your nail beds making your nails thin and weak even when you tell them not to! He took a chunk out of the side of my real nail with the drill and used that as a excuse to need to file more.

I got a deluxe pedicure & they didnt know what they were doing one person had to read a book to the other person of what to do & they didnt do a good job. Feels like they just rushed through my pedicure, they did an ok job on that. But Staff was friendly & it was clean.

Services are overpriced ($25 for basic overlay, no tips) with a very limited selection of regular nail polishes. Every bottle looked old--no new or popular colors. The staff wasnt very friendly. First time visit, and I left before they started.

Awful customer service. Ive given them 3 chances and each time they are not only very rude but the quality is horrible. Went today we were completely ignored then told to get a color and ignored again. 15 minutes and we left.

Probaly will not be coming back. Does look all that inside. Havent had my nails done but got my brows waxed and the women who did them was rude✌✌ and very slow service waited for like 20 minutes until i was helped.

Soaked in a tub of water that continued to get cold for another 25 min. What a waste of money. The gal talked to her co-worker & even after asking to trim nails she barely filed them. l was too embarassed & annoyed to complain. Instead I plan to never go back.
