This was my first experience at magic nails in wentzville, and they did not disappoint! Tom was AMAZING and surprised me with these gorgeous nails, super good service, personality, and skills!! I absolutely just found my new favorite nail salon

I am visiting from out of town and needed a new powder dip, as did my daughter. Both sets turned out so wonderful that we decided to get pedicures too! Very good quality...both techs took the time to make our nails perfect!!

They took my daughter to get her nails & her new sister in laws nail done for her wedding. They did them both right before the mall closed. They were nice and look good with that NEW ROCK on her left ring finger.

Friendly staff and great services offered! It was a holiday and they were still able to fit a party of 2 in for pedicures. Even though there were only 2 nail artists working. I will be going back.

Kimmy did my pedicure and did a great job. But a male did my nails and they are super square wide and poorly painted. I recommend pedicure only skip the full set. $50 gel full set and $50 gel pedicure.

So at the age of 63; I had my first ever pedicure ever.....Needless to say, I enjoyed myself very much.The young lady who worked on my feet was very gentle.I will be back.

Showed up about an hour in half before closing time, he didn’t compare my nails to the others so they all uneven and then they only had one type of light blue so I had to pick it then he didn’t even paint them well.. my 6 year old niece could’ve done better.. He didn’t want to fix because it was closing time.. will not be returning. And I wouldn’t suggest for anyone to go here.

The only reason they didnt get 5 stars was because I was told 10 min and didnt get started for 25 minutes.The manacurist was very attentive to my cuticles and I requested gel and was told that it would be $14 more, which is fine. My manacurist also informed me of the price before we started which I think is great. I wasnt happy with the shade of color, so she put an extra coat if polish on for me with no complaints.I am 99% sure that a review before mine was checking out when I was being seated on Sunday and was pretty sticker shocked by her total and asked the receptionist about the price, the receptionist itemized her total for her (didnt seem rude to me, unless she made an ugly face when she did it) and then explained that there would be a $2 charge for using her card to which the customer replied rather rudely (in my opinion) well I dont carry $90 cash with me and waved the receptionist away, agreeing, when she reiterated the extra charge. A previous review also stated that they are only there for the money... Well yes, of course, I know that is why I go to WORK, to make money for the services I provide. The prices are posted on the wall, and the extra charge fee for card payment was posted at each station.I will be back to this location again.

I love this place. Its located in the Independence Mall, but totally worth the drive from my KCK home.😁

Hannah did my manicure and gel nails. She was very thorough and pleasant. It appeared to me that although they had a steady flow of customers, there was always someone available that was familiar with all the services offered so you didn’t see anyone waiting around like at other nail salons. The first shade of blue was a little transparent and instead of just finishing, since after all that is the color I choose, she stopped to show me her concern to see if I wanted another shade of blue. I did. They turned out beautifully and she also did a great job on my cuticles. I will definitely be back.

They charge to shape your nails ($8) when thats always free... and if you choose coffin they will do very minimum work.Overall, they just dont do a good job at acrylic, they make the nails look puffy instead of a more natural look.

I dont go to this salon, I go to Creative Nails in Grain Valley.......they do it absolutely great job, and treat customers like family, if you havent gone, you need to try them. His name is James and her name is Phoung, its a husband & wife team. Its nice & quiet too.

I am from out of town visiting family and had a hard time finding a good review place for nails, but we came to the mall and tried magic nails, despite the reviews, I got a pedicure and they did a really good job! Im a hair stylist and my feet having been killing me from the busy weekend I worked and after visiting here I felt so much better. Even their massage was deep enough to relieve me as other salons are usually too gentle. Magic nails definitely nailed it!

I went in last night to get my nails done for valentines day and I had a cute idea of putting my boyfriends zodiac sign on two of my fingers. I pulled up the zodiac sign which is an Aquarius and those of you who know what the sign symbol looks like, a 5 year old could draw it. Anyways, shes doing the design and completely does it wrong. Put more zigzags than I needed which was only TWO zigzags! Before hand, the guy was doing my nails and would not stop pestering me about gel nail and how shiny and pretty and nice itll be. Ive been to nail salons over 100 times and Im well aware of the affects of gel nail and I told him that I know and that I wanted to put glitter and do a design and what not so Id like to know how much extra that all will be before I decide to do gel. Then I said no I wont do gel because I just didnt want to. After 3 minutes of him bothering me about it, I told him to go ahead and do the gel nail that is $15 extra so he would shut the hell up. The shape of my nails are off. My thumbs dont match, AT ALL and my friend warned me not to go there. I wont be spending any time or money there ever again. Would not recommend it!

My girlfriend asked for a her nails to look like a easy picture and they argued with me about what the colors on the picture was and then left her nails as they were

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST PLACE YOU COULD EVER GO TO GET NAILS!! They seriously tried to charge my daughter EIGHT dollars to shape her nails! Are you kidding me? Last time I checked shaping a nail is part of a manicure. I’m so angry at this place for taking advantage of my 11 year old daughter on her birthday and taking her birthday money. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I went in at 6:30pm and my normal place closed early and was already at the mall and I had been here before. I showed her a design and I wanted it on my nails and toes, she said she couldnt do my big toenail but could do my nails. I asked numerous times if she was sure. 9:00pm comes rolling around, and Im still sitting here as I give her the benefit of the doubt, at the end she says oh I just couldnt do it. Talked to them and they only took $5 off!!!! F I V E D O L L A R S!!!!! I paid $63 for my nails to still have my old polish and already chipping gel! Not to mention my toe nail polish has already came off. Will NOT return, I suggest you listen to the reviews!

I got a gel pedicure and it was peeling off 2 hours later (I had on sandals with no socks) I called the lady told me to come back, when I got there she told me to wait 30 minutes after I already drove 20 minutes to get there. My nails were pretty but to pay $41 for something to peel off is a waste.

I decided to take a friend to get acrylic nails for her birthday. She had the better experiece. She also convinced me to get mine done. It was great until they started doing things and didnt tell me the prices until after the fact. They also charge extra for cards. They basically took straight sand paper glued to a block (not even a buffing block) and sanded my nails so bad that I cant correct it. It looks and feels terrible! The gel chipped in one spot after a week, but the rest took me prying off with a ton of force. Ive never had gel polish before and I certainly wont again. The gems came off within 3 hours of having them put on. They also dont use hypoallergenic lotion, which I found out AFTER I had an allergic reaction to it. Would NOT recommend to anyone. Id rather recommend TN Nails in Blue Springs, than this.

I got my nails done for my Graduation. My school colors are Blue and Gold. They had the exact shade I needed to match with my cap and gown. However, I asked for Coffin nails. One of my nails were broken. The guy that did my nails, put the acrylic on, and then filed it down into an uneven nail. I wanted to cry with how bad it hurt.

My wife and I have coming here more than a year and the service is great. They are kind caring and so the best work ever

1 star rating for Magic Nails @ Independence Center!! Would be less then 1 star if negative stars were an option!!Last year we had a large pre planned group of 6 girls. Magic Nails said they could accommodate a large group but by accommodate they didnt mean at the same time, which was specifically asked for. Decided to give them another try today with only 3 girls this time.AGAIN, even though they had at least 3 staff not working with anyone, they only provided service for 2 of my 3 girls making the 3rd wait 30 minutes before even beginning.At the time we came in they had 3 staff not serving anyone & I had 3 girls...perfect right...WRONG!! The one who sat the girls at the nail stations went over to another station and just watched a co worker work until 5 minutes later when another person came in at which time the employee quit watching her co worker and sat the new customer at a nail station and began working on her nails....while my 3rd girl was STILL NOT BEING HELPED!Needless to say...EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED TWICE!!WONT HAPPEN AGAIN!Will find a different nail salon.Also worth mentioning is that they HURT my girls while doing their nails. And one of the girls nail was drastically crooked..DRASTICALLY CROOKED!! Didnt follow the lines of her nail bed at all!! They did fix the crooked nail by filing it to the proper shape so thats a positive comment I can give.WILL NEVER BE BACK!!

Went there tonight at about 8:15 because they close at 9. Lady didnt ask me what I needed or anything, just said they were closed. I responded that online it says they dont close until 9. Her response was that they were too busy and yes they close at 9. Mind you there were only 2 other people in there with 2 employees sitting around doing nothing. I told her I wont be coming back and that this is why their reviews were so low. Im pretty sure her response was that way because Im AA. I wont be trying again.

I had to wait almost to an hour and 45 minutes with my feet in the water on top of the 45 mins I waited for a chair to open up. Staff kept on tell me that the next person was going to take care of me. And they kept on going and skipping me for other ppl.

I told her it will look good and she was “if it looks good, looks good, if looks bad, looks bad” I said well No, and then when she finished she never tell me I was waiting and someone else had to come to tell me we are going to move you. Very poor customer service. I arrived at the salon at 8pm The nail salon closes at 9pm. The lady stated they weren’t taking any more customers. They had three people working and only one person helping someone. This was very rude and unprofessional.

I do not recommend this salon. The only reason I went here was because they have longer hours than my regular nail salon. I totally regret it!! I got a toenail fungal infection after getting a pedicure here. They are overpriced and rude as well.

I was brought here as a birthday treat, and I will never return. Im not sure how this place always seems to be so busy. I got a basic manicure, easy enough, but apparently Im a terrible person because I didnt want to get gel polish. As soon as I said basic it was downhill from there. The water he soaked my hands in was ice cold, he massaged my hands for literally maybe 10 seconds, threw me under the nail dryer and never came back. I did nails for a long time, and I have many friends in other areas who do nails as well, so I can assure anyone this is NOT how its supposed to be.

This was my first time doing my nails here and I told her I wanted my shape oval and I wanted them short. I also just wanted glittler with no color .She did a good job on keeping them short but they were not even!! She didn’t even bother fixing it ! As she was shaping them, they were not even once again!!!!! I picked my glitter one and she said no you need color underneath.. and charged me extraaaaa. I was told $27 for full set gel nails and they charged me $42 she cut my cuticles on two of my fingers and I started bleeding and she put the purple liquid over it to hide the blood and it burned Meee!!DONT GO HERE ITS TORTURE AND THEY DONT EVEN GO WITH THE PRICE THEY GIVE YOOOU AT FIRST! THEY WILL CHARGE YOU TWICE THE AMOUNT AND THEY WILL TELL YOU THEY CHARGE EXTRA FOR SOMETHING THAT IS THE SAME THING . THEY WILL NOT TAKE THEIR TIME ON PERFECTING YOUR NAILS CORRECTLY OR PUT AN EFFORT TO IT!!!THEY WILL ALSO USE THIER PHONES FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME AND JUST LEAVE TOY HANGING!!Do the job right or don’t do it at all..

No published price list, everyone that comes in gets quoted by some random gouging system. My last manicure they failed to remove all the gel nail polish from the previous visit and then said no we didnt your nail is black. Well, if that was true it was still their fault, becauss I have been coming there for months! She rushed through my mani and it looked terrible and charged me 43.00 to paint my real nails one solid color with gel polish. When I pointed out that they were not shaped the same and all different lengths, the lady got mad and hurt me when filing thrm. BEWARE!!!

Im just mad that people who comment on here dont have the balls to talk to the owners themselves. I read a comment that they came at 8:30 and the store closed at 9. They got angry cause they refused the service. Well duh, you come in at 8:30 whatever you are getting is going to make them stay later than 9. Vietnamese people work REALLY hard. No days off. How do I know? Cause I am Vietnamese and my family owns a nail salon. Not this one. They work from 9am-9pm Monday-Saturday 12-5 on Sunday. Even on holidays. A lot of people also commented they only want money. So what? they came to this country to make money and to live that American Dream.I admire those who work at nail salons cause1: a lot of nail salons are extremely short staffed. So keep that in mind2: they have to deal with rude customers. So be patient. You dont like the prices? Go somewhere else3: they work really hard

This place is awful. First of all I waited 45 mins before they could get to me. Second my pedicure looked like a 4 year old did it. The manicure with gel polish was terrible as well. I got the manicure on Friday and by Saturday the Polish was already chipping. Such a terrible experience. Oh and if you use a credit or debit card they charge you extra.

I had only been here one time, and will never go back. When I was getting a pedicure water splashed over the edge of the tub, so I look down to make sure my sock and shoes werent going to get wet and three baby roaches fleeing the water ran out from underneath the tub. I grab my socks and shoes, and the person looked at me and said, Oh, sorry.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! The lady yelled at me and yanked my arm after being told to “relax”. I got a full set of acrylics and not one of them are straight. I get my nails done regularly and I’ve yet to be this disappointed.

Ladies would not stop talking so loud and its rude and not relaxing. Plus they always up the price on you.

Horrible customer service! I called and was told they closed at 9, we got there at 830, driving all the way from nkc and we were refused service. Never will have my business again, and the store had a horrible stench!

When I got there the front lady was very rude and sarcastic when we told her what we would like because it was my first time . Everything was going great until the lady I had made my right pointer finger nail very crooked . She kept looking at it and DID NOT FIX IT . She then applied gel nail polish that I did not ask for which bumped up my price and charged me extra for almond shaped nails MY TOTAL WAS 50 DOLLARS for a set of nails that did not even last me a week

This place is so sad. they talk you up make jokes while they are messing up your nails, they overcharge for a full set and they came out crooked and the nails on one hand were shorter than the other...unbelievable waste of 30 dollars

I will never go back again, asked for a trim on eyebrow wax as I have....HAD beautiful thick brows.....I now have close to nothing!!!!! There is barely any left. WILL NEVER SUGGEST THIS PLACE TO ANYONE regardless if it was ten dollars!! What awful service

Absolutely the worst place to go. Ask for pedicure and manicure. Sorry. Only do gel manicure. Seriously. They are there only for the money. Didnt tell me only do gel manicures until after the pedicure. Then my 7 yr Old granddaughter was left sitting by herself for over 10 minutes while the girl played on her phone. Had to go ask if she was dry. She says ohhhh I forgot. Really!! Then charged me 2.00 because I used my debit card instead of cash. $95.00 for a childs manicure/pedicure, adult pedicure/ gel manicure. Then she was rude because I questioned the price. Never again.

I went to get my nails done a week ago paid 60 dollars only for a nail to break. I wasnt doing anything but tucking my bed sheet in. The lady who did my nails was rude to other people very rude but not to me. They are to expensive and they over charge for crappy nails and poor service. I will not be going back Kim nails here I come they have a 4 and a half star review.

WORST PLACE EVER!! Waited two & half hours,(with me being in the water for a pedi) for a pedicure & a full set. Then on top of the long wait, they PAINTED my TOES & HANDS A DIFFERENT COLOR!!! If I could give it no stars, I would!!!!

There are bugs and cockroaches on the floors!! And got my nails done and they are chipping already!! Plus I asked them to fix the paint that the man painting my nails chipped and he told me NO that it was my fault!! Worst service NEVER will go back!!
