My family and I have been going to Sylvia, the owner of the salon, for about 20 years, even before she opened 921, and would not consider going to any other salon. Sylvia is not only a lovely and gracious woman but is exceptionally skilled in all aspects of hair care. In all the years I have gone to her, I have never had a bad haircut, color, or perm and the products they use are of the highest quality. The other stylists are also highly sought after. The salon is beautiful and spotlessly clean. I highly recommend Salon 921.

I have been seeing Jeanette Taylor at 921 Salon for a few years now and she is phenomenal. She is a color guru, and has given me gorgeous balayages in pink, purple, and teal! I get compliments all the time and my hair has never been healthier or more fabulous than since I’ve been seeing her. JEANETTE is absolutely amazing. She is young so is keen on newer styles.She listens and provides feedback. She is meticulous and patient. (Especially when I’m griping about my hair).I don’t have easy hair to take care of. Stringy and tangly and straight and my cowlick is where my crown is so it always grows awkward and flat. She does a great job of working with it and helping me deal with it as well.I’m in my mid 50’s, but we did some cute color in the back. I loved it. I try to keep my hair with updated styles and she cuts and styles it that way.👏🏻👍🏻💇‍♀️❣️💯

I moved to the area from CT where I was very happy with my stylist...and was fortunate to discover 921 Salon and Spa. Sylvia has managed to improve on my color and has worked with me to explore new and exciting cuts. She is a creative and detailed professional. While age and Covid have taken their toll on me I leave Sylvia and the Salon looking and feeling terrific!

Salon 921 is excellent. I tried several when I moved to Huntsville a year ago, and this is by far the best. Sylvia is an expert colorist and hair stylist. I always receive compliments on my haircut and color since going to her. I appreciate the online scheduling and the courteous receptionist, Whitley, who makes changes for me at the last minute sometimes. Its a relaxing salon with expert professional staff that always is on schedule. Highly recommend Salon 921 to everyone!

Salon 921 is five star in every way. The salon is beautifully decorated and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful and the shampoo staff makes getting a shampoo seem like a mini head massage. I come away with both clean hair and a relaxed psyche. Sylvia Kim, the owner, has been my stylist for 15 years. After my first haircut, I knew I had finally found the perfect person to cut and style my hair. Sylvia listens to what you want, makes recommendations based on your particular hair and then does a professional job. She is a master and continually strives to do her best. I have moved 50 miles away but I continue to come to Sylvia for haircuts and coloring. She is that good!!

I have referred many clients to Sylvia over the years, because I know she wil take time and listen to their wants. Horrible doesnt even begin to describe my experience here. The woman didnt listen to what I wanted, and goaded me into going with her recommendation basically be threatening to charge me a rediculous amount. After taking 30 minutes applying color she tells me to leave it on for another 35 minutes. After ten my head was burning horribly. When I inform her of this, she tells me shes never had that happen before and loosens the hair on top. She continue to argue with me about my head burning and continues to tell me I need to leave it on longer. I finally convince her I want it out of my hair and the hair washing woman( and I didnt catch her name but she was only good part about the whole experience- thank you wonderful lady ) had to scrub my forehead and even she couldnt get the dye off my skin. Imagine what would happened if I had left it on for the total time of an hour? If you to here I strongly suggest you dont use Sylvia Kim, unless you want to be completely ignored and then charged double for the privilege.

Very nice, clean and modern facility, staff has always been friendly and go out of their way to make sure clients are taken care of. I would definitely re commend this salon if you are searching for a nice, relaxing exoerience!

Purchased a gift certificate of $160 for my wife last Christmas. She went for her appointment and they only honored 1 of the 3 services the package included. She was told that the package purchased was now a different rate. Despite the gift certificate being vailid through the end of the year, they would not honor what we bought. She had to pay an additional $25 just to get the facial. I understand prices change but a gift certificate/package deal should be honored to the expiration date. To me, thats not the right way of treating a customer. I would have bought another package for my wife but will now do so somewhere else.

Julie Nunn is the best esthetician in the world! She has been giving me microcurrent facials and microneedling which has made my skin feel and look 100 times better; my skin is much more hydrated and my wrinkles have diminished. I’m so happy with everything she does!

I have been to a lot of different salons in Huntsville and this one is by far the best and my favorite. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful, not to mention talented. My hair always looks fantastic after having it done here and even weeks after my appointment I still receive numerous compliments on how good it looks.I have recently begun trying out some of the spa services and I am so glad I did. The spas massage therapist and esthetician is excellent! I always leave feeling valued and pampered. So far Ive only tried a few of her available services but I enjoyed them so much that I plan to try more services in the near future. As of right now I highly recommend the Swedish Massage and waxing services. I especially suggest the massage therapy for anyone suffering from tension headaches or migraines, it really helped me immensely in this area.

Ms. Sylvia is fabulous and listens to what you want done. All employees are pleasant. I will keep coming back!

HelloI cut my hair yesterday, Im very nervous!!! Now my look is very ugly, I dont like my hair, my husband didnt translate my sentences when I was in Salon because I dont speak English very well and he didnt like problems, Im so sad and I still cryed since yesterday when Im remembering, my hair cut isnt as I asked, isnt same my photos, also the very ugly hair dryer I told the woman it isnt same my photos, and the brush used on my hair has many white hair .. Its dirty .I just stand up... I want leave the Salon. Today! my friend at school told my (what happened to you ! Your hair very ugly) ... Im sorry but I cant come again to your Salon, its very bad for me, honestly! Its the worse salon ever. You dont deserve even one star

What can I say about Salon 921 & Day Spa? Well, as soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a pleasant smile and a caring receptionist. My Stylist wasnt quite ready for me yet so I sat down in the lobby. As I looked around I could tell that things were clean and dust free (being OCD, this was a big deal to me LOL). After about 5 minutes, my Stylist came out to the lobby, shook my hand and introduced herself. She was very friendly and immediately I felt comfortable. She listened to what I wanted, gave her thoughts, and then we started. I could not be happier with the results! I feel like a new woman!I will definitely be back, and look forward to trying out some of the spa services! I hear they are wonderful!Sincerely,a very pleased client.

I am new to Huntsville and got a gift certificate to this spa and was very excited for my day at the spa. Unfortunately, my visit did not go as expected. I was told to show up at 9 am and didnt actually get helped until 40 minutes later. The wait time could have just been let go, however my service from then on was not much better. I got a Brazilian and it was probably the worst one I have ever gotten. I feel terrible Im giving this review because everyone was so nice, but I was very unhappy with that particular service. The only reason that Im rating it a 3 instead of lower is because my massage and facial were excellent. The whole building is cozy and welcoming but the temperature was too cold for my liking. Overall my experience was less than satisfactory.

I have had facials and waxing services here and loved them but will not be back because of the salon experience. I asked for low light to help blend my roots with my blonde hair better. I showed her lots of pictures of what I would like it to look like. I left with very light low lights not close to the color of my roots to help blend like asked and was charged 100 dollars for just the top of my head low lights. She charged me 30 for a blow dry because I didnt get a haircut. I guess I was suppose to leave with wet hair in below freezing temperatures. I called to talk about how I isnt the color I wanted and she never offered to fix it. Just said that she couldnt do darker because it would like unnatural with such light blonde hair.

I tried so many salons when I first moved to Huntsville from Houston. I got several bad haircuts and went through horrible experiences with many of the salons in the area.However, at Salon 921, I was truly happy with my haircut and experience. I never expected to find a salon that would be able to compare with the salon I used to go to in Houston, but I believe that I have found the place. I am so relieved that I no longer have to search throughout the city to find a salon. I love my new haircut and stylist!
