Overcharged, they didn’t tell me I did not get approved for the credit part until after I moved in now expect me to pay 1500+ for a unit that doesn’t have any AC. Maintenance have been to my place 4 times and it’s the same outcome it’s almost 80F in the unit I’m in. I haven’t been here 2 weeks yet and have major problems with them. I’m looking for a new place to move. This place isn’t worth it
Its ok so far. The staff is really nice, and very helpful and understanding .They have really worked with us, which is very appreciated. I guess my complaints would be is that the grass isnt cute often. I live in the very back and the grass gets really tall. And the shrubs need trimmed. Theres alot of trash that gets thrown in parking lot. Feel like its a easy target cause we are in the back. And theres marijuana being smoked, cause I smell it coming threw my air vents, makes it really hard to stay in your apartment. Theres nothing being done about it. Was told to call the security number when I smell it which I have and it goes to a voice message and Im told they will call me right back and they never returned my phone calls.
I had a great experience working with Chelsey Downs in the leasing office. She was very timely in her responses, very accommodating, and very patient. She is an exemplary asset to Fern Parc apartments; she is the ideal model of customer service. I have never experienced such great customer service from an apartment complex before. I highly recommend Fern Parc apartments to anyone looking to for an apartment complex in Huntsville. The apartments are nice and clean in a safe area of Huntsville, and Chelsey is a very helpful and reliable employee who will take good care of you.
Overcharged for what you get, and if you have issues with your neighbors or management they will only respond once before they start screening and blocking your calls so that you can no longer get a hold of the courtesy officer. Also, when our air conditioning went out it took them three weeks to replace it and then also began lying to us stating that it had only been out a week.
Fern Parc is an above average apartment community. We have been pleased and content with living at Fern Parc. Wwe have pleasantly interacted with leasing agent on several occasion. She is exceptional and made our move pain free.. The maintenance staff have been efficient and quite accommodating with the two issues weve encountered. All our questions have been answered in timely manner. Staff reach out through direct contact, bulletin boards, email, and we have community events several times throughoutthe year. Beautiful landscaping throughout complex, brand new grill area at pool and the homes are renovated after residents move out. We plan to renew our lease so we definitely recommend Huntsvilles Fern Parc!
This is an awesome place. I’ve been living hear for almost two years and I’ve had nothing but good experiences with the staff. Whenever I had questions about anything they were on top of it and delighted to help. I will miss this place and the staff for sure
I had a great experience while living here! The maintenance was timely and the staff was always friendly. The only reason Im no longer living here is because I moved states for work!
Dont rent here. Everyone is loud all of the time. The floors are made of paper and its over priced.
Honestly, the staff lacks communication skills with the residents. Very biased group of staff. The Maintenance men are the nicest ones here. Between my police neighbor messing with me because I am the new Tentant & Management just lets everything fall apart, this experience by far is not the best . My townhouse still has stuff that has not Fixed. We pay over a $1,000 in rent and dont even have lights in our rooms . On top of that, management definitely isnt making sure that your stuff gets fixed. All they care about is taking your money for rent and every little fee there is to pay for.Other than that, its pretty quiet and dog friendly . The people that arent bitter here are very nice as well.
Ive had such a wonderful experience living here! The staff and community is so nice and very well kept. Check them out! Definitely recommend.
We just moved here and we absolutely love it! The apartments are very well kept and it’s very quiet at night. We love the area also being so close to everything on the parkway. When we moved in everything was clean and working and the staff was very helpful with any questions we had. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking! Also the rent price is better than a lot of other places around here that don’t look half as good.
This complex is beautiful and quiet. I especially enjoy speaking with the kind, patient staff members!
Just moved here a little over two weeks ago. Cute apartment. Didn’t like the fact that there’s no washer and dryer connections, but no biggie. My biggest issue is that my smoke detector just randomly goes off and beeps for HOURS! I haven’t even been staying at my apartment because it interrupts my sleep. Extremely disappointed and wishing I would have looked elsewhere at this point. I’ve notified the office, but still waiting for this to be fixed.
First off there are always going to problems living in apartments. That being said, if there is ever a problem here the staff go above and beyond to make sure the problem is resolved. The people at the office are always so friendly and helpful. Xavier, Jeremy, mike, and Amanda are always so amazing!! My boyfriend and I are so happy that we chose to live here. The apartments are small but nice and homey. The environment outside is beautiful! You can tell the hard work that maintenance does outside! The dog park is also a huge pro. It’s always clean and my dogs love it! We love living here! :)
Candice I love you baby. Mike. Everyone here. Thank you. Fern Parc is absolutely the best!
Been here for almost two weeks and everything has been perfect. It is a nice, calm, relaxing place. The office staff has been on point since i first met them especially considering this is my first apartment. I was kind of Skeptical because of the other reviews but everything has been fine. I hope it stays this way down the line . The only down fall is no washer and dryer connection but other than that I’m satisfied.
Pitiful. Pitiful. Fire all the maintenance men. Been complaining about the air and how its not getting cold upstairs. Lady in leasing office said, Why didnt you just go and buy an air conditioner and put in the window. Enuff said....
I have been with Fern Parc about 4 years and I must say I have been very happy. Of course you have your ups and downs in apartment living but overall it has been great. Any time I need anything the office is right on top of it. They are now like family to me. If you are looking for a place to live, come stay here. They are awesome.
This was my first experience with apartment living and it surprisingly went well! I lived at Fern Parc for about a year and a half. The leasing office staff is super friendly and very responsive correcting issues. When I would put in a service request it would usually get fixed the day of if not then the next day. The apartments were nice on the inside. My only con about the apartment was the interior paint they use is super thin and cheap. If you bump something up against the wall it will leave a black mark. If you try and get the mark off (even with just water) the paint starts to come off the walls. Other than they were pretty nice. I never heard any of my neighbors, my building was pretty quiet. The pool is beautiful especially at night. The neighborhood is nice to walk with sidewalks almost everywhere. The trash compactor seemed to be broken almost every other week. Trash would always be pilled up at the front of the neighborhood; kinda gross. The biggest downside is the residents. They leave trash in the parking lot and in the common areas. They would smoke weed at the pool, but those are the kinda of people that cheaper apartments attract. Overall I enjoyed my time there and wouldnt mind renting again. When I lived there it was owned by Panther I know they just switched owners so they might handle things differently.
I feel its only fair I break this up some. I wish Google would have a system to let you rate a more detailed review.*Property Management*- Staff is professional, friendly and handles their business well.- Maintenance guys are awesome, and have handled any issues Ive had same day.- Overall Id give them 5 Stars.*Amenities*- Over all pretty nice, pool, gym, dog park, etc.- 5 Stars*Property Grounds*- Well maintained by whoever the lawn care service is.- 5 Stars*Safety*- During the day everything seams okay.- At night is a whole different story. Ive had someone attempt to break into my unit while my girlfriend and I were home. Ive called HPD several times for suspicious persons wondering around at night near my building that didnt live there or appear to be with a resident.- Drugs, most of the above safety issues are probably to do an active dealer on the northeast side of the complex.- Regardless of the childrens playground, I would certainly advise against living here as a family with young children.- I highly recommend installing your own security camera for your front/back door(s). I sure did after the attempt.- There is site security, but I only see their vehicle at night and the company is next to useless. They never seem to be around when needed and they arent deterring anything. About 70% of the time I see him drive through at night hes speeding through the complex paying no attention. It appears to be either a roving or random hourly patrol. A mostly ineffective business practice.- ~1~ star*Residents/Guest*- I hate to say it, but most of the residents/guest have absolutely no respect for the property. Im constantly picking up beer cans/bottles or fast food garbage from my steps, the parking lot, or the green area near the lots.- 2.5 Stars*Parking*- Its awful, mostly on the weekends, guest vehicles are constantly taking up all the spots. There is no assigned parking so its very annoying for us residents. People parking between handicap spots, on the grass at times, or in the road in front of the tree plots. I think they towed like 5 cars when I brought it to their attention of cars that hadnt moved in over a month or defined as inoperable by the contract. Still not enough on weekends. This doesnt appear to be a problem for the town-homes though.- 3 StarsIn closing, always read your contract.
My living experience at Fern Parc has been a wonderful experience. Moving to a new state where I knew absolutely no one or nothing about apartment living, had me a little nervous. The staff assisted me before I even moved! Everyone is warm and fuzzy and makes you feel warm and fuzzy! Its like one big family.
Edited to reply to management: I rented before I married, so my name has changed. I appreciate you reaching out but it serves me no purpose to contact you. Im leaving the review so that others have a warning to consider.Original post follows:You will wind up paying about $1000 per month to live here. They split the water bill between residents. In the summer when the pool is in use, your water bill will be almost $200 just the WATER usage, no joke! Then you have your own light bill to pay obviously. Also, you will have giant cockroaches. I complained about the roaches as soon as I moved in and they said oh those arent roaches theyre water bugs. They said theres nothing you can do about water bugs. When I moved out and went for my security deposit, they had documented roaches in the apartment and refused to give back the deposit. Neighbors are drunks or drug addicts. I woke one night to pounding on my front door. I looked out a window and there were police everywhere. Apparently a man was beaten and robbed right outside my door, on my stoop. Walls are paper thin. Plumbing leaks. Tubs are corroded and they had someone to come in to put a new layer of enamel over the corroded tub upon move in. The pool has inadequate filtration so you basically are swimming in community bathwater soup. There are dumpster divers every day of the week. These people literally enter into the dumpster to sort through your trash so do not throw away anything with personal information. They will refuse to let you see the unit you are moving into. They will show you sample apartment and take you to sign your lease then give you your key to move in at which time you get your apartment number. It will be nothing like what you were shown and beware of the building behind the building, literally you have to walk from the parking lot, behind an apartment building where you will find another building so your front door is facing someones back door or window with only a sidewalk to separate them. Nope, nope and nope. Dont do it! Dont forget all the mandatory insurance they require you to pay. You really will pay $1000 per month to live in these project apartments!
No one answer the phone i did call over 10 times during 15 days, no one answered or even reply to my voicemails!!!!
We have been living in Fern Parc since August and so far we have no complaints. During the day and night it is very quiet where my town home is located. We really love living here. The entire work team always give the extra mile to help and they are very friendly.
I lived in what used to be called Renaissance at Memorial. They are now called Fern Parc which is owned my Panther Investment Properties. They still have bad maintenance that says things arent broken when they are and that they dont need to be repaired. The office staff is a joke and they cant tell you the same answer from 2 different people because I guess they dont need to know their jobs. These apartments were made in the 50s and were ghetto when I lived there. All they did was add some stuff to make them look better. They have all kinds of fees and lied to more than 1 resident when they made the transition for remodeling about what they could do to move out and what wouldnt be charged to them. I left a month before the lease was up and my brother stayed. I asked to be taken off of the lease and they wouldnt let me take my name off of the lease. They wouldnt send me the paperwork to sign to fax/send back. They have also put a $701 collection on my credit report that I will be disputing because my lease wasnt even with them and I asked to be taken off of the lease. Like I said this place was ghetto and still is. All they did was polish a turd but its still a turd.
Firstly, Fern Parc has wonderful office employees. Xavier, Amanda, and Mackenzie helped me out a bunch with my reoccuring pest issues! Fern Parc is a great community if you are in school and wanting to rent your first apartment ever. I enjoyed my stay here. Thanks Fern Parc Team!
These apartments are a scam. Nothing is “renovated” everything just has a face lift. When I first moved to Fern Parc I had issues with roaches that I had addressed the severity of on multiple occasions. It’s has been a year and a half, I am now moving out with the same issue of a roach infested apartment. For someone who keeps their home spotless, living with a significant amount of roaches was appalling. Once winter came and it got cold outside, I then had to face my worst fear “mice infestation” (which were actually the size of sewer rats). After I overcame that problem, I then had to face the issue of roaches ONCE AGAIN. You pay for a service that is non-exsistent. People smoke weed, leave condoms in the parking lots, throw trash everywhere, break into cars... etc. Honestly, there are so many problems at this apartment complex that I do not think the leasing office/Maintence have the ability to keep it all under control.Which is something else I would like to address. The employees at Fern Parc are nothing short of exceptional. Easy to work with, always professional and nice. In fact, if I were them, I would take the skills in which they possess and go find a better job with an apartment complex that the owner will invest time/money to fix the REAL issues in which the tenants are CONSTANTLY complaining about.Save your money and live somewhere else.
A great place to live!
Love living here and the staff has been wonderful since weve moved in. They made our move in a breeze and even when we moved to another (bigger) apartment, they made it so easy and pain-free. I love the staff. Very friendly and welcoming.
I lived at Fern Parc for a year with my family. There are some pros and cons about this place that are worth mentioning. First, the staff are friendly, responsive, and professional. Xavier has gone above and beyond on helping resolving issues. He even came out of his way to help with a maintenance issue. Second, the property manager is responsive and very nice. Third, the grounds is well kept and the price is fair for the property. Fern Parc could really be a wonderful place if not for a couple of things. The last few months have had an increase in car break-ins. I had my car broke-in twice but whoever is hitting this area they arent vandalizing or breaking anything. I think the problem with this is the security Fern Parc has hired and the residents. I hardly ever seen security drive through and the one time I did, he was speeding and not paying attention. I also had some issues with residents who smoke weed at night. Literally every night and we could smell it all through the house. The residents dont seem to take care or have pride in keeping the area looking nice, even though the groundskeeper does a fantastic job with picking up after them. During the day fern parc is good. Night another story. Overall, I would give them 3.5 stars.
I am currently searching for the staff that goes above and beyond at this place that people are talking about below. Because if that were true the above and beyond staff would ATLEAST pick up the phone or answer emails, but that almost always NEVER happens. I generally NEVER leave a bad review but I have just about had it with this place. They may not be quick to fix something when its broken, but God forbid you are late with Rent (which I understand) or they think you have an unauthorized pet in your building (which I dont) they will be on top of that and ready to pile on fees immediately! Mind you I travel alot, so I cant always be there when rent is due. One time I came in early with my check in hand and they wouldnt take it. And said for me to sign up online so I can pay it there. That would have been convenient IF the code that they gave me to sign in with worked. I called SEVERAL TIMES to try and figure it out and when they finally answered (AFTER I called from a different number on THE FIRST RING) they didnt know why it was saying that I wasnt in the system and couldnt fix it. So I had to pay it late again when I finally came back, but thankfully they didnt add the late fee. But come on now. I dont know if yall have your residents on caller I.D and dont answer on purpose but that was infuriating to have you answer first ring from a different number. Mind you they havent fixed the rentcafe thing so I have to have a friend of mine literally drop off my check when Im not in town to avoid late fees. VERY CONVENIENT.Second I have an emotional support animal, legally given to me by my therapist. Ive had conversations with Jeremy on what I needed to have so I would be exempt from the pet fees. All he said was to email the paperwork given to me by my therapist. Which I did. But he did not respond to. But months and months went by with no issues. All of a sudden my closet falls which was poorly put up in the first place, it takes two weeks for it to get fixed after calling multiple times again. After the maintenance man is in my home without me being there. I get an email a couple days later saying I have a pet violation due to LAST months audit. When Ive had the dog since October/November. If you were really doing your audits my pet violation should have been filed months ago. But its indeed not a violation by law since i have sent and HAVE the proper forms to have my animal at my house. I have emailed and called to talk about the matter and NO RESPONSE! So again where is the above and beyond staff that everyone is talking about because they are non existent. But they seem to reply to bad reviews written about them on google. So I will give this a try.
I signed a lease here thinking this was my best choice for the price. I was very excited to move in. I was shown the model apartment and was told that I would be living in another unit which was not the model! On move in when I received my keys and was sent to my unit and it turned out to be the model unit, no one never mentioned that anything had changed! Then just yesterday I found a dead rat in my apartment that I havent even moved all my things into. I explained to the staff how I felt about rats and rodents and they acted as if this was nothing! When to me it was very serious. They gave ME sticky traps to put down in the apartment as if I was an exterminator or like they knew it was a previous problem, And offered to move me to the apartment I was originally supposed to move into which is only across the hall. And when I asked to have it cleaned it again I was told that my expectations were unrealistic and that I was not meeting them halfway! Im just disappointed in my move in experience I thought that I would enjoy this experience but it has been the absolute worse for me! I will never be happy knowing that they did not take my issue as serious as It was to me.
Fern Parc is really great; the amenities (pool & computer room!), the residents, but most importantly, the leadership-- Candis, Xavier, Jeremy and Andre are the most professional and nicest people Ive ever dealt with. I honestly can not say one bad thing about Fern Parc. And what a great location!
Fern Parc is a great place to stay..quiet and they are catering to your living needs. They always get service requests taken care of immediately and the staff members are pleasant. Keep up the good work guys and I would recommend if you are looking for a quiet, pet friendly place to live..sign the lease and have a cookie lol
Just Don’t!I was so excited to move into my first home! The first month was great! Then problems start.FIRST, there is a rat in my apartment the size of my dachshund. Maintenance brings glue pads to put down and nothing. This thing is tearing up my carpet (I assume to make a nest)After several attempts to contact the office i have no luck with anything. The problem still stands. I am not even able to stay in my home due to the issue.THEN, one night I am making dinner and a cop comes to my door and says that I am being too loud.. I said may I ask how? He replied we got a call saying that you are banging pots and pans around.. I WAS COOKING DINNER...If you want a NICE place to live I suggest you pass.
Fern Parc residents and staff, are respectful, kind and considerate. When ever their is a maintenance issue the Fer Parc staff is sure to follow through. Evenings, both in the summer and winter months are calm and peaceful.
Mr. Xavier Webb went above and beyond and actually handled a service problem for me. This apartment complex is great with the residents and are very personal while being professional. Completely satisfied with my experience.
I moved out into Fern Park on May 12th 2017 with my fiance at the time. Candice was very very helpful and very very attentive and any questions I had she answered I have no problems whatsoever I love the apartment the maintenance men are very quick about repairing things I do have a little problem with my neighbors and certain things that they choose to smoke but other than that Im loving the apartment I have no problems by kids are enjoying the pool I won Bingo when I just moved out of here playing with Fern Park so Im thinking my future with Fern Park will be very very wonderful
I have truly enjoyed my experience as a resident in Fern Parc. I am lazy when it comes to making service requests, but when I do inform the staff, the are attention and quick in action to fix all problems. I have been living in Fern Parc for almost 2 years. Initially, the former manager was alot less friendly. Now, I often spend hours talking, and even baking for the friendly and effective Fern Parc staff!
Day 1 Polite Helpful Caring n Professional They Remember my name in 1 day😇 Very Nice n A Good Place To Call Home for good or temporary
I had a wonderful experience visiting there so quiet so clean I just looked living there for 3 weeks thank you for giving us the opportunity to reside at your beautiful place God bless you all
Fern Parc could be a nice place. With no management on duty at night, the noise levels of those in the pool area far exceed reasonable behavior and make it impossible to sleep. Reporting a complaint does nothing.Move to public housing, at least your rent is paid.
This place is racist. Today, I was told by an African American man, an employee, that MY KIND is not allowed on the apartment property. Please help me understand, what does?, what did he mean by saying : MY KIND ? ?
Fern Parc is a joke. They claim to have done a multi million dollar renovation, but all of the construction work seems to be done cheaply. Everything is always breaking. For example my dishwasher a brand new appliance has been broken for over a month, and the office claims they can do nothing since the part is on back order. They claimed all the old tenants moved out... But they are still here. Do not pay premium rent prices for this dump of a community
My son has lived here TWO months. Has a rat in his apartment the size of a guinea pig. Has called maintenance. Gave him sticky traps. The rat is so big it shook off. My son took it upon himself to go buy rat traps. The rat tripped the trap and got away. Its literally eating the food from his kitchen AND chewing up his carpet by the maintenance closet where it lives. Did a little research. If a rat is chewing carpet, that means it is making a nest. I called maintenance tonight. No reply. He has not stayed there in a week. The neighbor downstairs from him said its been there for months. SOMETHING has to be done or my lawyer will be involved!
Staff is awesome! They are extremely friendly and very helpful.
Everyone is very helpful and friendly. I love the staff.
I love living here and Ive never had a problem with the staff. Always super helpful and quick to fix a problem.
It was amazing experience there.Management is brilliant
My kid just slipped and fell in the women clubhouse bathroom. What did he slip on? Semen. Or lube. There is literally a condom, semen, and lube all over the floor. Oh yeah and the lock is broken....probably part of the issue. Nasty nasty nasty. Wish I could post a picture.Oh yeah and my husbands phone was stolen from the damn weight room. We strive for 5s my butt.
Someone(I assume from maintenance ) came into my apartment (between 7am and 430 pm)without my permission. I put in a work order because I have a water leak that has soaked one corner of my bedroom. I value my privacy and I dont appreciate anyone coming into my apartment with out letting me know first, in addition to the fact that its against the law. There is a fan in my room now, but the water thats on the carpet has my room smelling bad. The fan is not going to take care of the leak; more than likely the carpet will need to be replaced. I like the apartment, however, this incident is extremely disappointing.
Excellent Staff that TRULY cares about their community! Thank you for everything you do to make Fern Parc HOME!!!
The property is awesome but the staff is extraordinary! This really is hOME!
One of the guys from maintenance is very unprofessional and rude. There’s always trash, old AC units and etc left on lawn. Also had a woman from management call me about a situation and was very rude and unprofessional as well.
Management is terrible & disrespectful
Nice staff, horrible apartments. Better options in the area.
Complete joke. Terrible apartments. Do not move here
Apartment renovations are only cosmetic. Underlying problems still exist. Maintenance is very slow to respond. Staff does not follow up on orders and often just gives you the run around when it comes to things being fixed.
