Anthony & Sylvan constructed our pool during the start of the Pandemic. Our design consultant Philip Kinney made designing look so easy. He was in our house talking to us about what we would like in our pool and after we talked he already had a design for us and it was what we had in mind! Right there and then we decided to use them for our pool construction. We also favored them for their lifetime warranty! They finished building our pool in about 3 and a half months. There were no delays or whatsoever. I recommend Anthony & Sylvan for anybody looking to have a pool constructed.

Phil has a knack for finding the right features that fit our needs and then making it fit within our budget. After the dig we had a tropical storm come through and I did not think they would be able to fix the damage, but they did. This company is very professional, good quality products and priced right. I have to say that pool building during a pandemic right in the middle of hurricane season was stressful to say the least. Luckily, we had Anthony & Sylvan Pools as our pool builder. We began our journey of searching for the perfect pool company to build our dream pool and Anthony & Sylvan pools has exceeded our expectations! From the beginning Mr. Bill Shuler designed our pool better than we could have imagined! Started construction and met Mr. Burt Stavinohae our project manager. He even changed his entire schedule the last minute today to make sure my deck inspection and pour could happen sooner than planned! We are not complete yet but can see the end very soon and will be swimming in our new pool in a few short weeks! I hired Anthony and Sylvan pools to install my pool because of their years in the business. Unfortunately, things continue to go wrong. The first big mistake was the install of the concrete, and were unwilling to fix it. Next, the install of the pool light. After cutting the electrical line to the light during install, they had to dig a trench under grass on opposite side of the pool for light to have power, leaving large trench after just installing new grass. The light did not work and the casing/cover kept falling off exposing the light. After multiple conversations, multiple set appointments to fix the issue, they never fixed the light. Finally, months later, and continued attempts to have them fix it, Anthony Sylvan informed me they could not get the casing to attach to the light fixture. Ok, so you would think that they would replace the light versus just tell me they could not fix the installation of the light considering they are the company building nh the pool. But no, they washes their hands of the light that they never installed correctly. Now, they are threatening to sue me for the last $1400 I am withholding until the pool is finished. I have spoke to the owner, I have spoke to every person in the office including their service department amd the warranty department and each time they tell me that they will correct the issue but instead, they send me paperwork stating attempts to collect a debt and sue me. After I explained my concern of an underwater light fixture not being properly installed and sealed and the harm I fear it could cause to my friends and family swimming in my pool, again, they’ve done nothing about it.They have never completed my pool and I don’t think that they care to do so.

We had an issue with our pool heater late on Thursday.Luis responded on Friday to our email. He sent Omar who was polite and professional on Saturday who fixed our issue. Thank you and Great Job!

We met with a salesman at the end of July 2020 and signed a contract and paid a deposit on August 7, 2020. At that time we were told “You will be swimming by October.” Then it changed to “You will be swimming by Christmas”, then it was “You will be swimming by April”. I am writing this at the end of May and we are still not swimming! We paid another deposit on 3/2/2021 and another on 3/17/2021. I can’t begin to tell you the lies, delays and incompetence we have dealt with from this company. The company blames the city of Pasadena for being “slow to issue the permits” but that was not true, someone dropped the ball and never went back to obtain the permits. Once they finally had the permits, we finally had a hole dug in our back yard. One entire area of my front yard has been demolished by their machines and the small grassy part that is left of our back yard has a 1 foot deep ditch running through it because the gas company nor Anthony Sylvan has filled it in and we were told not to. The gunite was finally poured, then the plumbers came out. They have failed 3 city inspections and when we met with the inspector he said that he has come out 3 times and 3 times the same 3 issues were not corrected, as a matter of fact on the third time they tried to hide the mistake! He said this is not unusual with this company, he has seen it before. My husband has been in touch with many people and is trying to get to someone higher up in the company to help us but no one will provide him a name or a number so is not working.. In the meantime, shortly after we had signed the papers, we recommended a friend to the same salesman. Our friend and his family have been swimming for almost 2 months now. This has been a miserable, stressful, horrendous experience. Every day for the last 10 months I get home from work and look at my backyard and want to cry. This should not happen to anyone and if I can save anyone from going through this I hope this does. Do not go with the first offer you get, check out the reviews on the company. In 2009 when we moved to Conroe, Texas upon retirement we were fortunate to find a wonderful pool company called Anthony Sylvan in HOUSTON that designed and built us a unique and beautiful pool. After a few years it required some maintenance of the gunite and John Myer came out to evaluate what it needed. He quickly arranged for a crew to re-do the surface of our pool at no expense to us. We were amazed at the quick response and the professionalism of John and his office staff to be sure that we were pleased with the result. Ever since, when we have had a question about the pool, John has quickly responded either by email or phone. We are extremely happy with the Anthony Sylvan company in Houston, especially with their warranty customer service and John Myer and his staff!

Our pool was complete from start to finish in 27 days. We had zero issues and after almost 5 years are still completely satisfied we used them. We got an amazing pool and the process was seamless with Burt as our PM. He did an amazing job and we could not be happier with the outcome.

The communication is extremely poor. To make matters worse, they make excuses about why they lack communication instead of just fixing the matter. They assign a project manager who has absolutely no idea of whats going on. The project manager does not follow up on how the project is going, delays, etc. What was supposed to be a fun and exciting pool building experience, has been a disaster with no apology, and no willingness to amend the situation. Would never recommend.

This is our first pool! The overall process was pretty good. It took longer than I expected but some of it was due to weather and people just not showing up when they were scheduled and partly due to covid. The design is what we dreamed of. Bill Shuler was very helpful in the design and listened to what we wanted. He made suggestions and was very receptive! He didn’t rush us or try to sell us things we didn’t need it was unnecessary! Burt Stavinoha was our project manager. He was always quick to respond to our concerns or needs. He explained things in our language and listened to our questions.

I am currently building a pool with Anthony Sylvan and I would plan on using a different pool company if you plan on building a pool.Issues:No communication from anyone. The company lists all of the office personnel phone numbers and a customer service number. No one answers the phone or emails.The quality of the installation of the pool has been sub par.If you plan on purchasing a pool, I would look elsewhere.

Portia went above and beyond, meeting us on a Saturday at the design center in Katy. We live in Bay City and hit traffic and she stayed 30 mins late on a Saturday to take care of us. She was extremely professional and nice. We love the colors and can’t wait for the pool to be finished.
