NARD by Restoration Cleaners came to my house to retrieve textiles, electronics and 8 acrylic canvas paintings. My overall experience with this company was marginally good. While their cleaning of my 8 acrylic paintings damaged by soot build up was non existent, I will say they did a very good job on the textiles and a good job on electronics. Greg Belton, the Project Manager, was very friendly, communicated well, went out of his way to do a good job on my TVs and computers, for which he was responsible. Greg tried to provide information from the company concerning my complaints, but the customer service was unresponsive or slow to act.The company management and customer service was a disappointment! First, they took my my 8 acrylic paintings and kept them for over 3 months. I had to initiate communication about how soon I could expect to have all items returned. The Houston-based project manager did not send me an inventory list until I asked for it and that was 2 weeks after items had been taken. After the my second request for information regarding the return of my paintings, they were finally delivered. The company would not return my items until the insurance company paid for services rendered. Immediately, upon delivery, I noticed that the paintings had not been cleaned. After my initial inspection, I decided to use my own chemical sponges to check for soot. Soot and dust were were very noticeable. Eventually, I just cleaned the paintings myself. However, I documented the process and sent the results backs to Restoration Cleaners. They met with the art team and discovered that the paintings were released without being serviced. They offered to pick them up again and service them, but, by this time, I was already pleased with my own cleaning and declined their offer. For the electronics that were sent to Houston, Restoration Cleaners used what I believe is an oven cleaner inside my new convection toaster oven (with an aluminum interior) and it looks awful now! Looks like someone threw acid on it! You dont use oven cleaner on aluminum! During the smoke damage, soot did not get into closed spaces, such as cabinet, etc (cleaning the interior was not needed - - I kept it very clean). I asked for some sort of compensation, but only got crickets. I guess that is because the oven still works. . . Restoration Cleaners manager couldnt be reached at first and then, after I followed up with a phone call, no word was ever received from the manager. I would NOT recommend this company.
If I could give zero I would. If you want to lose money and your possessions, by all means - use this company. 100 condominium owners cheated in one fell swoop by this firm, I guess being victims of Hurricane Harvey wasnt enough.
Worst place ever!!! Company took our appliances n clothing items to theyre warehouse.after 5 months we finally had our stuff deliver and when the delivery guys deliver our appliances they scratch our brand new stainless steel fridge n our brand new painting.not just that but when u call to complain to who I believe is the mannager or the one they just tell me when the manager comes back from vacation well contact you.its been a month and nothing.DONT TRUST COMPANY!!!! Plus they over charge for nothing charge our insurance $9,000...
BEWARE!!!!!! This company doesnt know what good business practice is. My parents office flooded from Harvey in Houston. They were hired to do a job and the work was never complete, but they sure took their money and left them high and not dry! I will be contacted the better business bureau as well as letting everyone I possibly can to never hire them to do a job. Talk about kicking people when they are down. He asked for 3k up front and another 3k when job was complete. He charged them all 6k upfront and sprayed some simple green on black mold and left and told them the job was complete and he wasnt going to return. They lost their small business and got taken to the cleaners! I will be posting pics on yelp and to all the neighborhood Facebook groups I can find to let everyone know not to hire them. Its despicable to take advantage of those that were devastate in the flooding! Its sickening. All I wish, is they arent able to do this to others! Its heartless and terrible business practice and as far as Im concerned, fraud!!!
