I cannot say enough good things about Nhu. I brought her a white romper with a deep V that was a little too revealing for me. I explained to her that I was envisioning a mesh fabric insert added, so the cut wasn’t so low. She was so kind and attentive to what I wanted and she executed it perfectly. I will definitely be back

Top notch work. I brought in a bridesmaids dress that was a size 20 and needed to be taken down to about a 14. Nhu was able to do it with 1 fitting in a few weeks. I thought her price was reasonable considering she carved a new dress basically. All the seams are just as they were before. I also had her change the weird small buttons the dress came with for more logical hook and loop. For sure I will be back for bridal needs but this opens up a world of options for better fitting clothes for a tall person!

I took several pants and skirts of all types of material to Nhus Tailor & Alteration to have the waist taken in. Nhu was lovely to work with and did an incredible job on my clothes. The job was seamless, and my pants/skirts fit perfectly. I will without a doubt go here again for my future alteration needs!

Pricey, but fast and good workmanship. Had them sew a new zippered slip cover for a beanbag chair and it was completed in one day. Cost $80

Great process of taking video during consultation to make sure everything is documents....except they still went ahead and added boning to my dress which was never discussed. They had to take it out and repair that. Not happy about that, but overall the dress came out beautifully. Fitted excellent, they are fast and have great detail.

Took a dress in to get a zipper and close up some buttons, as well as a pair of denim shorts that needed the waist taken in. Both turned out great and were done quickly. I can’t tell at all that the shorts were altered other than they now fit well - they look perfect!

I have been going to Nhus Tailor for 5+ years now and I trust no other seamstress. I am petite so most of my clothes require alterations. Ive brought so many pieces to Miss Nhu over the years and she has never failed me. I truly admire her honesty and have the utmost respect for her work ethics. Ive been to many other tailor shops before finding Nhus and I have not gone elsewhere. Miss Nhu genuinely cares about her customers. She is even often skipping lunch just to get through the long lines to take care of her customers. A very sweet, honest and hardworking seamstress. You will not be disappointed with her work. I am getting married in a few months and needed to get my dresses hemmed. My bridesmaids came along. We all of our gowns and dresses hemmed here, and the quality and work is SUPERB!!My precious wedding gown and reception dress were hemmed and taken in; they are perfect. Seriously: quality work with reasonable prices.Don’t let the other reviews about high prices fool you. You pay for the quality service and work that you get, which is soooo worth it!

This was the best experience. The staff was helpful, quick, friendly, and very sweet. I am getting married and moving and asked when my suit alterations would be done. Told me that she could have it done in 3 days! I asked her if that would be a problem and she told me that she has to. Super flexible and accommodating. My fiancee also had her wedding dress altered here and loved the way it turned out. My fiancee immediately recommended that I go by for my suit.

Expect to pay a little more for the services, but it will be entirely worth it. I had a size 12 beaded bridesmaid dress that had to be reduced to a size 6. The zipper had to be moved, it had the be shortened and the straps had to be taken in. The work was flawless, and the dress fit better than I could have imagined. You can tell time was put into making the dress look perfect, and you could not tell the beads had been adjusted. The service was great, the price was affordable and the work was top notch. If you are hesitant about choosing an alteration place, especially for a pricey gown, Nhus Tailor & Alteration is a solid choice.

Just moved to Houston and tried to find a reasonable priced tailor for my family needs. To my surprised.. many places said they did custom alterations like Saigon tailor .. but had limited services like only able to hem pants!Im very pleased with this establishment. This place was fast service, very friendly and exactly what I am looking for. I will be coming here more often.

Same day service tuxedo pants were not hemmed. The seamstress tailored them in about 25 minutes.Very friendly she came out to help me since I was in a wheelchair.

They altered three very unique pieces for me and they turned out as absolute PERFECTION! It was well worth the drive for me for the quality of work. I thought her pricing was reasonable and will be exclusively going here in the future. A+!!

My wedding dress was altered in here and perfectly fit to me. I did the hem and shoulder part. She made the floor length for me in the front and keep chapel length in the back of the dress. The price is affordable and they can finish it quickly if you are in hurry. Alteration of the hem is always more pricey than the other parts. When I tried on the dress after the first alteration, Nhu suggested to fix it a little bit to make it perfectly so I came back after a week for the final look. She wanted to give best look to her customer :)

Nhu completed a very difficult job for me with total excellence. She was able to take a 68 year old wedding dress and significantly alter its size while maintaining its design -- using all the original fabric. It was an alteration and a reconstruction. She was prompt, affordable and had impeccable quality. I cannot recommend her more highly. She did this job for half the price that I was quoted by another person and I trust her completely with special projects. She is also a very kind person.

Nhu transformed a package of material from India into a gorgeous dress fit for a princess in just over 3 days - no pattern - just a picture of what it should look like. She is truly very talented - you can trust her with your most important events!

This review is for their pricing, honesty, and my first impression.I walk in, 5 minutes later someone walks out to the front desk to greet me (I had to open the door and close it again so they can hear me, what I was hearing first was people talking loudly and laughing from the back).I brought 2 dress shirts for tailoring (sleeves taper and/or body taper, I also brought plastic stays where the tailor can sow in the plackets to make them stronger and staying up.Price for each shirt you may ask? $70 (35 for tapering, she made it sound she could only make tapering for sleeves and body all together but not sleeves alone. She asked for $30 for plastic stays to be sowed in for each shirt).I told her this is expensive and I actually did the plastic stays at the Galleria (Nicole’s) for $10 each which is already expensive. She said thanks for stopping by and didn’t even try to negotiate or win a new customer.

Nhu is amazing! She will always hold a special place in my heart. She is remaking my deceased mothers wedding dress into a rehearsal dress for me. She is so caring and extremely sweet about the situation; she is also doing it for a great price!

DO NOT LET HER TOUCH YOUR CLOTHES without asking for a price first. I went to get a simple dress hem, she cut it while I was wearing it then wrote a ticket for $50 dollars! when I told her that was too much she refused to give me my dress unless I paid her $20 for a 1 minute cut job! The sign at the register clearly states they take visa and mastercard and she refused to let me pay with my card. Tax evasion if you ask me for charging me $20 that she wasnt suppose to! she put that $20 straight in her pocket!!!!

A bit pricey compared to others around town, but Ive taken about 10 items over the last year and its always been good work usually done correctly the first time which I cant say about other tailors.

Nhu was able to turn my size 8 fully beaded wedding dress into a size 0 flawlessly. She spent hours hand beading the dress where the seams were altered. She did a wonderful job pinning the dress and it ended up fitting me perfectly! Nhu was easy to work with, and VERY reasonable on the price. It was going to be triple the price and time if I let the bridal boutique do the alterations.She also completed my dress a few weeks early.Fun fact: she will give you a price discount if you pay in cash. I highly recommend Nhus Tailor & Alteration.

Ive only gone to Nhu twice so far, but I will definitely be bringing her more of my clothes in the future. She did a suit for me and a suit for my husband, and both of us look so much better in them now! She has a good eye and also takes into account your preferences regarding sleeve and pant leg length, fit of the jacket, etc. Nhu never tells you when things will be ready, she just asks when youd like to have the item. We give her a good amount of time but she seems very willing to work on a tighter schedule if need be, which is great.

The lady at this place is super friendly but DO NOT let that fool you. She is outrageously expensive. She charges you based on your looks and the price of the item that you take to her. We complain about highly skilled and educated people when they charge what they charge( doctors, lawyers, etc) despite investing so much in their education. However, we pay so easily for someone who is willing to rip us off. I hate to give in to this market of pure rip off. I compared prices for a couple of items I took to her and she was considerbly more expensive than many high end places in town.

This place is way toooo EXPENSIVE!!!! two easy dresss and one gown for $147! I’m just getting them hemmed and that’s the price? I have never paid any of my dresses hemmed that price... and that two dresss I only bought them for $20 each. the owner said she gave me 15% off so I still have to pay about $119!? $119 for three dresses? Otherwise the owner is nice l.

Skirts were too tight. It was over $25 per skirt to take in so I feel like I should have just bought new uniform skirts for my daughter for the price, considering two of the skirts left marks on her waist due to being too tightly taken in.

I was desperate with a short time left to get a dress made. I went to Nhu with a pattern similar to what I had in mind with a lot of changes. When Nhu finished with the dress (ON TIME) it was soooooo beautiful I could not have purchased a dress that looked like this one. I even got a beautiful evening clutch made to match the dress. This dress out shined amongst many other dresses. Nhu is now my new tailor!

When my daughter told me that she would like to wear my wedding dress for her own wedding, I was delighted and more than a little frightened by the prospect. My dress, a classic in ivory silk peau de soie accented with Alencon lace, was designed and created for me by my sister 49 years ago! It has been well preserved, but the design wasnt exactly what my daughter had in mind for herself.We took the dress to Nhu to see what could be done. Lauren described exactly what she wanted, and Nhu implemented the changes. She transformed my 1966 classic dress into a 21st century classic for our beautiful daughter.I dont see how it could have been done any better. The dress fit like a glove and was exactly what she wanted. Thanks you, Nhu, and your talented team for making Laurens dream come true.
