Way to take care of your customers. We reserved a car weeks ago and we’re forced to wait hours in line. We have waited here longer than the flight time into Houston. There’s two people working with a line that stretches across the building. If you planned this many reservation and customers you should prepare ahead of time. This is a waste of everyone’s time and exploitative and really ruined the beginning of my family’s graduation weekend. We will never ever use this company’s services or rentals again.
This rental facility is OK at best compared to other airport related locations. Be ready to wait in line as the associates were not the fastest. Never mind that one of them pulled a few people from the back of the line and sent them over to Budget. Ummmm…that makes no sense since those people had not been waiting nearly as long as the people ahead of them.And Avis, please…stop making the rental experience so stressful. Be clear in your communication. They try to upgrade and charge you more with subtleties…which I understand…but I’d rather deal with a shady used car salesman. Their contracts are clear IF you pay attention. Just be mindful when renting so you don’t get additional chargesThe car was nice…clean…comfortable.
Upon, arrival, my car was not in the preferred section, had walk to find it,even though my name was listed on the board. Once I made it to the car it on had a quarter tank of gas. The young lady at the departure gate wS friendly and helpful. I called to discuss extending my rental and spoke with a representative who had no clue. Had to call back during normal business hours. Thats an real inconvenience!!
I had rented a car from Thrifty - to be picked up at George Bush Intercontinental. Upon my arrival, there was a line of about 1 mile, (not kidding), waiting to be served. Decided to shop and went to the Avis counter. Got a car within 5 minutes and at a very competitive price. I was given a Toyota Hybrid. Great experience as I had never driven one of those. Nice helpful staff. Car worked out great.
The counter person used first time visitors lack of toll needs to get me to buy the pre-paid toll add-on which was too expensive and not necessary. Then I couldnt get that off the contract using 800 number, but was required to visit the Avis office. You have a good racket going on there. I was a 20 year Hertz customer renting at Avis for the first time. Never doing that again.
After going from rental car to rental car agency, Avis agent Bill at the Houston Bush Airport happily assisted us in ensuring we got a car for our unplanned trip home from Houston to Austin when we were unable to make our connecting flight resulting in a overall missed flight. Not only did Bill go out of his way to get us a car, but he understood the frustrating situation we found ourselves in, and went even further to provide with as many deals and easy direction he could get us. Bill is awesome!
Great rates, good vehicle, excellent service during pickup. Drop-off, however, was an issue. We dropped off the car at 5 a.m. for a 7 a.m. flight as recommended. They after-hours drop off was blocked by cars and we were unable to pull the car into the garage. I had to call to notify customer service that we left the car at the entrance, along with many others who rented from Avis in the same predicament (there were approximately 15 cars ahead of us in line to return vehicles then). There was no employee available for us to figure out what to do with the garage entrance blocked. I may use Avis again, but I will make sure pickup and drop-off times are staffed before I book!
30 minutes later, they have moved 2 customers 5 more in front of us. Save yourself the time and money and use national rental car. and it gets worse!!! took an hour to get our of the parking garage. Seriously I know my review wont change anything, but go to National!!!
Agent I dealt with was friendly, fast and efficient in getting me exactly what I wanted! Couldnt have asked for an easier experience!
I am so upset! I cannot reach the people inside the airport who I spoke to and whom i received the rental from. I only had the car for a day as i was visiting for that day. I DECLINED any extra coverages such as tolls and insurance. My husband and I didn’t even hesitate we said NO extra coverages NO to the TOLLS. We just asked for a car seat and it was given to us. How deceitful of that man adding a coverage and extra cost when we DECLINED it. It’s frustrating customer service on the general phone line can’t help us because “it was added” by the man who helped us in the airport. We were there on September 12 around 3:20pm, he was in his late 40’s, had glasses and african American. I forgot his name but Needs the attention of whoever is in charge. That is absurd adding things when we DECLINED IT just to charge extra.
Very shaddy, everything different in person than whats mentioned online. Also they have a notice sign that only goes up for certain individuals.
It was very easy to book, pay and pickup. My experience at the IAH airport was the most efficient Ive ever had. The agent (I wish I could remember her name) was welcoming and friendly. She answered all of my questions, especially regarding the use of the E-ZPass system, explained exactly what the terms of my agreement were and then told me where to pick up. It was clear and concise yet I was only there no more than 5 or 6 minutes. I appreciate warm efficiency!
My vehicle screen kept shutdown while I used it for navigation. Oil change sensor popped up during my travel. The trunk wouldnt open from time to time and it rained during my travel. Vehicle did while in gas and had lots of space. Thank you for checking with me and my experience with my rental. Have a great day!

My flight got delayed i arrived 2am instead of 11:30pm i made prepaid reservations when i arrived of course there is no one to talk to at this time but at least i knew that i had prepaid reservations so there is probably a car ready for me but when i got to the parking the lot was empty my name is on the screen but no car in the whole parking lotVery disappointed after being a preferred plus member and Im traveling all over for business and only renting with avis see picture with my name on screen and lot empty

I was charged excessively amounts not reflected on the original contract. Additionally my rental agreement said return at 5.30. I was made to understand that there is a 29min grace period. I returned at 5.53 and was charged for an extra day and the very disrespectful attendant who clearly could see my reservation was being belligerent when I simply showed her my rental agreement. Needless to say, Ive already warned friends about renting here and will be ensuring our corporate account blacklists Avis. Its unfortunate because the lady who helped me rent was rather very kind and pleasant and I used to enjoy your services
If I could rate this place 0 stars, I 100% would. Coming to the Houston area for a quick getaway, we decided to reserve a car WEEKS in advance, prepaid, insurance and all.. We landed at 11:45pm, very tired from traveling, only to find out that somehow they had “sold out of cars,” including the cars which had been reserved. More than 8 other parties had vehicles reserved and were unable to be accommodated due to a lack of planning and leadership in the company. On top of this, were rude employees, who had no care to deal with the prominent issues at hand, and no problem solving skills. Here we are, an hour later, paying $120 for a 1 way uber to our hotel. Thanks, Avis. I am DISPLEASED with this rental place to say the least. It is by far the WORST I have ever experienced. PLEASE DO NOT GET A CAR FROM HERE... EVER.
Everything went smoothly. Pick up and drop off I was a breeze. My family really enjoyed the mini van. Only thing we didnt like is the fact that the car was not cleaned out and wiped down as it said on the sticker that was left saying everything was sanitized.
I was given a car with no gas and a broken windshield. I have been trying to resolve this issue and been given the run around. Spent 9 hours of my trip TRYING to reach someone to no avail. Now I am trying to resolve it and I am not able to TALK to anyone. It is ridiculous. I have been telling everyone that AVIS is terrible and I continue to believe this as NO ONE is talking to me. I will not rent from you again.
The lady that has helped me this rental helped me rental, also helped me the first time. She was amazing. I have her name written down. Just to give her a good review. Tall pretty lady big braids. Very friendly. And accommodating. I have made Avis my rental car company. Because of the customer service. The Puerto Rican pretty girl that was at returns was another asset to the company. Avis was my first job out of college and as an employee and later a customer I was always impressed with the dedication to customer service.
The rental staff at IAH were all very pleasant. The rental itself had smoke smell, and the interior was torn up. I will never go through the Preferred Members line again. I want someone to walk me to the vehicle to make sure there is no damage I can be held accountable for. It ruined my vacation because I could not get on a call with Customer Service to report the damage. I spent three days on the phone for hours on hold. The app needs improvements with reporting issues during a rental status. I paid weeks ahead as the website suggested only to get a rental that was not cleaned before re-renting. Ive never gotten a rental with 41k miles and driven hard. Again, not going to the Preferred Members line to get something smelly and unclean.

This was the worst rental ever. The fact that I did everything online like I ALWAYS do and had issues at pick up and drop off was unacceptable. Not with the car but the misinformation and un-knowledgeable staff.
Id have given them 4 or 5 stars if it werent for a fuel line item overcharge on my final bill. I had to call three times to get through to fix the charge and spent nearly an hour on hold waiting for a representative ... the first two times I simply ran out of time and had to hang up. Your representative fixed the erroneous fuel charge quickly once I got through - kudos for that or Id have only given you 1-star.
Lady at the Avis Preferred counter in Parking at IAH was the worst ever Avis personnel I have come across. Very rough, arrogant, highly impolite, no willingness to help.....etc. I had already complained to manager in the office inside terminal and they promised me to look into the matter. Unfortunately I had to interact with her twice with same experience. Once when I picked up the car and then when I had a flat tire. You can also cross check my experience with Roadside assistance and also with manager inside IAH terminal. Hope Avis is serious about asking feedback from customers and then take necessary action based on feedback so that other customers dont have to go through same bad experiences. Roadside assistance service was super great and they have gone out of the way to help me.
Renal experience was quick and very efficient.
The pick-up and return processes were very smooth. I got an upgrade, the car was new and everything at a fair price.
The person who attended me in Houston when I rented the car was very rude to me. I had to pay a 250.00 deposit which I was unaware of when I rented the car. My deposit has not been returned. I was told that the car I requested was not available so was given a more expensive vehicle. I should not have been charged extra for this vehicle since I prepaid for the other vehicle. I felt as though I had been scammed. My rental ended for 4 days ended up costing over $650. That is a scam.
Excellent Manageress on the IAH rental desk who assisted me on my rental on return I left my drivers licence on the dash which was immediately returned to me.
The agent was so helpful and nice even during a power outage, They got us in our rental within minutes. Will definitely use Avis again, as a matter of fact we are using them on our trip to Boston next weekend. They had to hand write up our contract with the help of a flashlight!!
I sent an email to Avis customer service explaining all the problems the first day but it is due to an overwhelming powerful smell of marajuana that never went away, burn holes and tears in the seats, and lack of concern from the staff when I brought it to their attention. I was told that Id have to wait in line another 30+ minutes to ask for a new one. Couldnt wait any longer, had to get to a meeting so was stuck with the worst rental vehicle Ive ever had. I found out why Avis was cheaper than the other companies but Ill be willing to pay extra next time and stick with the company I usually use.
The agent that waited on me was extremely friendly and nice. Pleasant smile and it seems as though she enjoy her job.
We arrived to your location, had to change cars 4 times. the 1st car had scratches, bad tires, and the engine was still hot, etc., 2nd car tail light broken seat dirty, smelled bad, 3rd car the lady said oh this 1 is brand new and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it, we pulled off the service light came on, at that point I was over it, tired and sleepy. my husband went back to let the clerk she stated to my husband he needed to speak to a manager because this was the 4 switch, mind you we never left the parking lot. thankfully one lady told my husband she will take care of him, after almost 2 hours we received a car. This was a bad experience. Dont think I will use them again, they need better customer care, and clean and well kept cars. Thank you.
On May 3rd there was a weather delay which caused dozens of planes to land late at Houston Airport. All the car counters were closed when most of us arrived, except for Avis.A dozen of us with reservations from Hertz, National and Enterprise worked our way to the Avis counter where we found a lone worker called Sylvia working hard.All of us were power Hertz, National and Enterprise users (we were talking while in line).Sylvia was supposed to go home 30 minutes earlier but she stayed and cheerfully made brand new reservations for us, and in the process converted all of us to Avis users. She was great and staying late to make sure we were all taken care of. We werent even Avis customers at the time. Great Job Sylvia at the Avis counter at Houston airport on May 3rd/4th (2am or so). I have already used this example at the company I work at an example of amazing customer service.
Well when I select a certain vehicle, I expect to receive that vehicle. Not something similar. I selected that vehicle because of the trunk space I needed, but upon arrival, I was offered the two smaller vehicles. After telling customer service the vehicle I reserved and wanted, now they have it in stock.

This is a first . . . giving ANY mode of transportation (car, air, etc) 5 stars. But I was actually impressed with this place. Unlike OHare, this center is close to the airport. Easy to get in and out. And there are lots of nearby gas stations on the return.Inside - everything clearly marked. Easy to navigate. Shuttles run frequently. People who work here have the light on, and someones home - friendly, know what theyre doing, efficient.
This to inform renter, if the agent try’s to sell you on adding to your package be aware. If you have full insurance coverage(liability & comp & collision) on your personal vehicle you do not have to take theirs. I was caught and I should have stood my grounds but agent was a fast talker and insisted it was part of the package for the low daily rental. Also, if there is another driver make sure they are listed on the contract.5 hour flight with family members and one in a wheelchair. It was 6:30pm and we were tried and needed a car. Charged $100 for gas when I returned vehicle with only a 179 miles used. I will never use Avis again!!!!!
Avis rental rate is very reasonable and competitive. The car i rented was relatively new and i had no problem with it.
My husband and I rented a Jeep Wrangler for our weekend getaway. Within an hour of leaving Avis with the vehicle the low tire pressure comes on along with the check engine light. Also you could tell the vehicle needed a wheel alignment and the car was dirty. I called Avis to report what was going on only to be given the run around and transferred to different departments. A few hours later the traction control indicator comes on and when you turn on the AC you could smell gas. One customer service representative said the best we could do is exchange the vehicle at an Avis close to me which would have been in Kyle, TX since we were staying in Wimberly. I should not have to cut into my vacation to exchange a vehicle that should have been working when I picked it up. Naturally we did go to Kyle, TX to try to exchange the vehicle but there were none available so our options were to drive to San Antonio or Austin to exchange the vehicle. Again, I shouldnt have to cut into my vacation to exchange a vehicle. At this point we stuck it out with the vehicle. Before all of this happened we also experienced bad customer service at the Avis location. It was just an experience that I would never want to go through again and obviously the vehicles are not inspected before they are rented out. It was not cheap to rent this vehicle which is why I feel we should be compensated for our experience. When we dropped of the vehicle the lady who checked it in even mentioned how you could smell gas. No one should have to experience this and I also felt like Avis doesnt care about the well being of their customers.

Avis upgraded me when the smaller model I reserved was not available. It was brand new, clean and completely fueled up. Your representative, Ms. Dravka, was extremely competent and courteous.
Horrible customer service. I arrive at 12a and I have two small kids Im asking what should I do I reserve it. He said go to a hotel come back tomorrow,Really?That is not in my budget. I was told at check out, that I had the vehicle till 6:30 pm the next day. When I went to do my return at 4:45pm the next day they were closed. I was unable to make my return. I should have been notified by the check out clerk of the early closure on Monday when I picked up the rental. I called Avis to get help and spoke with 2 people that were very rude and no help. To makes matters worse the rental site was closed the next day as well, on a Tuesday, making my 1 day rental a 3 day rental. I ended driving the vehicle back up to the airport to prevent the extra days and the online service charged me an additional fee for returning the vehicle to a different site. I paid extra to do a one way trip originally, by returning it to the airport it should have changed to a round-trip and I should have received money back. The lady I dropped the vehicle off with was very pleasant. I guess iti s easy to be rude on the phone. The customer service on the phone was literally the worst I have ever dealt with.

I rented my car and the Avis Customer Service agent was grumpy and unfriendly. I was quoted $60/day for a Compact Car - shown on my Rental Agreement # 699947474. When Avis settled out my bill they charged me $180/day - Case# 39755991 - This has been the worst rental car experience and if not corrected by the next business day June 1, 2021 I will be posting my experience on social media.
Absolutely one of the worst rental experience and here’s why1) one hour wait before reaching the counter (with 3 representative at the counter)2) car wasn’t readily available once you reach the counter. An additional wait 10-20 minutesI don’t understand why prepay if the process is not efficient I guess that’s how they lock you in for a ride of horrible service.Don’t do Avis at this airport.Also if you’re traveling with kids you’ll have time for them to eat while one person waits. 😂

We picked up a Jeep this week from Avis in Houston at the airport. Yesterday after dinner we went to get into our Jeep, but it wouldnt start. So, we had to wait almost 2 hours to have them send someone out to jump us. Then we were asked by the tech who came out to make sure we drove it for 20 min. before turning it off again. So, even though we were only 1 mile from our hotel room we had to drive around for another 20 min. Fast forward to this morning. We went out to get into our Jeep only to have it not start again! We are now cutting into our vacation for the second day dealing with car problems. This shouldnt be the case when renting a car! We called the location nearest to us only to be told we had to call the Avis roadside assistance line. When you call this number it says due to large call volume, you may be on hold for 15 minutes. We have now been on hold for over 45 minutes, and still no answer. We had plans today, and this is very much an inconvenience to say the least! We are very unhappy with the way Avis is handling this, because we arent getting immediate help. They make you sit in this que with no one available to help. This is super frustrating to say the least!
The car was clean and it was easy to rent a vehicle. The only negative experience was the GPS. We tried to use it and it wasnt updated and it took us way off course, so we had to use our phones. Then when we were returning to the airport, we tried to use it again and it would never pick up a satellite signal, so we had to use our phone again

I got spoiled by National car rental. Emerald executive actually means something. Avis prefered does not get you any kind of upgrades. I was still assigned a toyota corolla.
06/11/2021 (Update): Customer service reached out to me (after my below comments) and asked for all receipts. After reviewing my receipts, they realized they charged me extra so they refunded $71. THANKS! I would prefer a hassle-free experience, hopefully next time with avis.06/05/2021 (original): I booked through website and paid 320$ all inclusive. Arrived at the airport and your app was not working, waited two hours in the line. I had a group discount from Chase Ultimate rewards, you charged me the difference between the actual amount and the discounted amount (71$) after returning the car. I disputed the extra charge, what a SHAME for avis to be a thieve and dishonest!!!! Shame!!!
Terrible service is the worst service ever d’not even waste your time or your money
The process was smooth. The only strange thing was that there were no mats in the vehicle but I guess that renting cars after Covid in 2021.

I made a reservation with Avis in advance. When I got to the airport to pick up the vehicle they finally want to tell me that I need a credit card with 250 on it keep in mind that this is Sunday all of the banks are closed. They also told me that I could not change or modify my reservation because it was a prepaid reservation meaning I couldn’t add anyone or delete anything off of it. No one was able to help me this is last minuteAll of the banks were closed they cancel my reservation and told me I will receive my refund in 3 to 10 business days. What a horrible experience to put someone through last minute when I could’ve simply told me all of this before I book with them then the lady at Avis told me that they do this stuff all the time just to get our money they get commission off when we pre-pay a vehicle in advance. They also told me that they don’t really care at the counter if we have the 250 on a credit card or not because they already got their money in advance. I do not advise anyone to rent from Avis horrible customer service they pretty much rip you off not telling you all the details you travel there not knowing what you’re going to experience or face is simply not right Roy my whole trip. Nakamichi you never know what someone is going through already before they even get there to pick pick up their vehicle you don’t know the circumstances of why put someone through that.. if I could give zero stars I would…😪
They stand around and don’t acknowledge you. Of course there are some exceptions but this has been my experience the majority of the times I’ve been here.
Best car rental experience ever. We were given an upgrade at no additional cost. We loved the Kia Sportage, it was super clean and fun to drive. The associate that helped us was so friendly. We will continue to use Avis for all of our car rental needs, the app makes it super easy!

Smh never again… I rented a car from July 30-Aug1. Before returning the car I stop at the gas station to top the fuel off. I let the car auto fill, until the pump stop on its own. Then then I squeezed it one more time and it stop again. Cut the car on to make sure it was on full and of course it was on full. Dropped the car off, get my receipt, and see that I was charged $44.96 fuel charge. Total rip-off! I’m not sure what else I could have done, if the pump was automatically stopping because it was full. Smh $44.96 for 4gallons of gas. I’m sure this is not the first time this has happened to someone. So just don’t even bother getting gas before dropping it off. Because they will charge you anyway. I thought once the gas line is on full, it’s full I had no idea it had to be a certain level of full. I don’t even know how, I was supposed to find out, what level of full it was on.
#1 car was received with pollen inside called main office no response but when I finally got a rep on phone I was given options was to return car or take back to get cleaned by this point I was already upset because car shouldve been cleaned and inspected so I asked rep to note it on the rental and was told he couldnt do anything on his end so basically I took upon myself to sanitize the vehicle myself..I was very upset already so I called again only this time I spoke to another rep and was promised 20 off my rental for my inconvenience of the rental n last rep.. which I still have not seen 20off another disappointment so with this bad experience I will never rent a vehicle from avis was my first n last time very inconvenience for me..
Petra is so awesome! Customer focused and highly adaptive to complex requests, she processes customer decision forks through the system extraordinarily rapidly, providing rapid answers, and cheerfully, despite system drawbacks it seemed like. Those drawbacks mean moving in real time is extra cognitively taxing because cognitive load is higher and can often be straight 8 hours awhile to get and stay ahead, but sometimes demand just overwhelms, like todays (13 May) rates for a poor sucker who needed a last minute rental! Whew!Anyway, Petra, thanks for helping me rent the Toyota as I was in a bind, and making it fun!Make her a Customer Success Manager for one of Avis top fleet clients (? a guess, does Avis do that) now! Or the nearest Avis internal equivalent 🙂 or analogue of that role.She was funny and engaging, which helped soften the blow. Over the top review I guess but despite the abysmally high daily rate, she helped me with some discounts seemed like because she managed to get my rate the same regardless of 3 (the minimum) or 4 days.Never rent a car last minute, its not fun, but if you do, rent it from Petra, aka The Rock, at Avis at Bush (sigh... Because the car was dirty in the inside. This is unacceptable on Covid-19 times.There were couple of false eyelashes sticked on the dashboard. A piece of cloth (a sock?) besides front passenger seat. A bottle of water under the seat. The touch screen was dirty. The rear right tire had low pressure (aprox. 16 PSI). I have pictures of these items described. Also they charged me the fuel option even though I returned the car with the gas tank full.
We rented a car in Houston and had to change flight plans due to the storm. We decided to drive the rental car to our next location. We called Avis and were assured we could do that. While enroute we had a flat tire so we asked to switch cars. We were told we could not do that because we had prepaid and held the car past its return date. We were charged an additional $600 for returning the car at a different location. I rented another car from Enterprise to complete my trip. I was an Avis preferred customer but will never rent from them anymore

The agent asked me if I wanted to prepay gas at check-in and I said yes. I arrive an hour early to return the vehicle without gas because I requested prepay. The agent says you owe $85.00 because you didnt fill the tank. This entire debacle was draining and frustrating. I am a frequent customer with Avis and this just left a horrible taste in my mouth. I hope I am charged correctly. I am so disappointed.
How do you only have two people working. I never seen a line this long to rent a car. Avis either needs to hire more customer reps, or add kiosk. Its should not take more than 15 minutes to rent a car.
Booked it online when i got there the lady with name ZDRAVDA changed and upgraded it without explaining and letting me know ofc she said just sign here here and thats it, the second that car they gave me was smelling so bad so bad idk it almost made me throw up but it was kinda emergency need so i had to deal with it and the last she didn’t explain or at least mention if i come late 1 hr i will be charged another day ?? What kinda representative is this ? So this is scam, i got robbed and paid double for using a car who was smelling and stinking so bad 2 hrs late !

For being a preferred member, I did not experience value add for the membership. The initial vehicle was less than stellar - the windshield and mirrors was dirty and difficult to see through. I had to request another vehicle and appreciate the response of the associate who helped me. As for services, Avis needs be transparent of the services that are not available prior to purchase ie curb side drop-off.

As a car rental company I assume its important to keep your vehicles well maintained. So when I get in a car and it immediately gives me a warning light I am not confident in the product. When I go back to the desk and ask for a different vehicle and am told to just drive a bit, it will go off, Im now irritated. Ive heard from coworkers how bad and expensive your roadside service is, so I absolutely will not drive a vehicle off the lot that has a waarning light showing and I think its completely inappropriate for your staff to ask me to do that.Flash forward to another fail! Rented here again, received email saying a Red Ford Edge was waiting for me in B23. There was a Gray Mazda CX-5 in B23. When I went to the desk I was made to feel like it was my fault for not using the app to fix it. How is it my fault that the car you assigned me is not where you said it would be? This location is sorely lacking in customer service.
This was probably the worst car rental that I have ever from Avis. I rent from avis quite a bit and this car was disgusting. It had Colorado tags and seemed like someone chain smoked from there to Texas. It was bad enough that it gave my wife and I headaches. If it wasnt for our timing, I would have requested it to be swapped out.
Friendly service from the lady who rented the vehicle to the gentleman who took our return. Also, Avis desk is open later then any other car rental desk at IAH. We couldnt get our rental vehicle from Dollar because their desk was closed and Avis was there for us when we were in desperate need of a rental vehicle.
Don’t do it. Rent anywhere else in the Houston airport. I never see this place without a line where everyone in that line looks angry and disappointed. I accidentally rented here once and will never do it again. Go out of business already.
Probably one of the worst Avis I’ve been too. Very disappointing for a large airport. I’m Preferred. Rent with them a lot for work.They assigned a car and license plate but no spot; because my flight landed after 10 pm - the preferred desk was closed which means I had to wait in a massive line full of angry customers just to get my spot. I tried to see if I could just find the car in the lot and leave but they said I had to wait for paper work in lineWhat’s the point of being preferred ?
I got offered the EZTag because the lady said it worth the price. But I just use it a couple times, I wont pay for it any next time.
The line to pick up with extremely long, 45+ mins to get my reserved car. Then once it was my turn, another customer walked up to my representative and he opted to help that person instead of me. HIs name was Jean at Houston IAH airport. I spoke with Jeans manager, who really didnt seem to care that I didnt want to wait for yet another customer to be serviced. Therefore, I will take my money somewhere else.

A bit slow to get to the counter, about 20 minutes. Once over there with a reservation, took 5 minutes for the whole process.
Avis changed their deposit policy the day before my reservation and authorized a previously not needed deposit of $160 on my bank account. I was NEVER notified that it would happen and as far as Im concerned, Avis has violated my confidence as a consumer. I contacted customer service by phone and in person and was not helped. I will not recommend.
I rented an car last weekend while I was visiting the Houston area, and I received excellent customer service with this Avis location. When I arrived at the George Bush International airport, it was easy to locate the FREE bus shuttle to the rental car center. When I arrived at the Avis rental counter there was a few customers ahead of me in line, but they had plenty of staff so I didnt have to wait very long. Once I was helped the staff employees were very attentive and very friendly. All the staff was wearing face masks and gloves because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Overall I had a great experience with this rental car company and Im positive that I would highly recommend it to friends and family members.
Excellent customer service. Rental cars are always good and clean. Price is always reasonable and competitive. Quick on car pickup, and quick on car return. One complaint: Avis Preferred Members booth was not available. I had to get in line with other Avis customers, waited for 30 minutes before I could reach an Avis staff for car rental. It used to take me less than 7 min to get a car with Avis Preferred Members booth.
Your worker at the center made our experience even with doing everything at the last minute he made it smooth he talk with us, he me feel good about spending my money with you even at a higher price thank you for having such a person in your line up
The car was nice but they gave me a car on half of tank of gas, and I didnt worry about it I returned the car on a full tank.
Got in at 10pm. Had a car reserved. The desk clerk told us, they tried to shut down the reservations as they had NO cars.. Went to the counter and were told they had no cars! Told to check the other car companies. No cars were available. Another customer arrived after us and got a car. Go figure! I am totally shocked! There were a few cars on the garage. VERY inconvenienced! We rent from Avis fairly often. I am going to have to rethink this!
On February 20 I flew into Bush Intercontinental Airport from New York. When I got to the counter I handed the agent my license with Wells Fargo credit card. Then she told my that I need a return flight I that Im a airline employee here for a memorial service and not sure when exactly Im going to leave. She asked me a few more question. Then told my along with booking a return flight it was going to be a 250 deposit along with a credit check. All of this for a ford ok i need to be somewhere. I wrote out my social she pretended to type it in then told me that Avis cant went me a car then dismissed me. I asked her could he actually type my social in because i have an alert that whenever my social is used i will get an email with a phone call and neither has happened. And while I was still talking she call for the next guess. Dont worry Avis will never get another chance to display there racial views on me again
