In October of 2020, I purchased a 2016 Chrysler 200. At the time of purchase it was noted there was an issue with my Airbag Service light. They assured me that it would be fixed. I took the car back a few days later to get it fixed. The Service Department sent my car to a place called Euro Power. I got my car back, and a week later the Service Airbag appeared again. My car was sent back to Euro Power 4 additional times. It has been nearly a year and I took my car back to Don McGill today for the 5th time to have my Airbag serviced. It seems that the mechanic is tripping the sensor to get the service Airbag light to disappear hoping it will not reappear. They sent my vehicle to same mechanic 4 different times! I have asked Don McGill to exchange my vehicle with an equal and comparable value of another vehicle. I sent emails and heard nothing. This is bad business! I am truly disappointed. And I have been speaking with the Customer Relations Manager. She can only do so much. I dealt with her the last two times I returned my car.After speaking with GM Chad Mahaffey, I am happy to announce that my issue has been resolved. Chad is a man of honor and stands by his customers. I appreciate him bringing this matter to a just conclusion. Thanks Chad for all you do. And a huge shout out to David The Deal Hunt Asst. Sales Manager for his tireless efforts to resolve this issue. Thanks for your grit and determination.

6/5 Stars - I purchased a car from Don Mcgill on 8/21/21 and Belal Awad was the gentleman who made the sale to me. I am pleased that Belal was cooperative to my situation/needs and open ears to my budget. Belal helped finalized my perfect deal from well before closing to almost three hours after the dealership closed shop.Belal does not fit the “aggressive salesman” stereotype that I feared as I had came in. My experience went better than I had expected, and I’m glad to have had purchased a car under zero pressure and for a great price at that. Having good and ethical character in sales comes a long, long way.
Update: Lindsey quickly contacted me and rectified the situation in a very timely and efficient manner! When I returned to get my battery changed, Robert, did an amazing job at making sure he had everything he needed to complete the service.Changing my rating from 1 to 5Went to get a battery changed and decided to change my rear windshield wiper while there. I was told it would be a 2-3 hr wait which is understandable considering I didn’t have an appointment and it was a Saturday. However, I was never told or updated that there wasn’t any batteries available (which was the main reason of going). Had I known, I would have not asked them to change the wiper and would have just done it myself or waited to do it another day. After waiting the 3 hrs. I texted the number provided for an update on my vehicle and I immediately received a response. After checking out, I asked about the battery change and the lady at the counter had no idea about it bc it was not documented. She called Joey to ask and he called her back and left her to relay the message to me that there were no batteries. In my opinion, he did a horrible job at keeping me updated on what was going on and did not even have it documented that I went for a battery change. Had I not asked the lady, they would have never said anything. Livid is an understatement of how I was feeling that morning!

Our salesman, Charles Holiness, was friendly, professional and very nice to deal with. Nothing pushy or obnoxious about him…he was great! He also kept us up-to-date on the progress of our new (used) car as it was being prep’d. The only thing he couldn’t provide was lunch! Lol
Avoid Don McGill Toyota! This place will gouge you with ridiculous fees. My wife went to buy a Toyota Camry. The final priced shocked us! Don McGill added all sort of made up fees, like a “Hardship Fee,” on top of MSRP. Their final price came out to over $5K more than any of the other Toyota dealers in the Houston area. Simply going to any other dealership will save you money. Avoid Don McGill, they are a bunch of crooks out to scam unsuspecting buyers.

Very bad customer care especially service department. When ever it comes to sell a car they are so fast. When we call for service appointment they say its booked till next year so walk in. When walk in no one to help. Some one come to you after one hour with a attitude like we are slaves. They say waiting time whole day. So they thinking people dont have any other job? Just waste in their shop. Its rediculous service here... Be safe

This was probably the worst buying car experience I ever had. Never going or referring anyone here. I felt the finance guy literally force extended warranty down my throat, especially that APEX protection GPS system. I know that my car has in-built tracker already, and he knows it too. I was so tired, so I had to agree so I could complete the paper work and go home. this was my third buying car experience and was by far the most stressful. I cant wait to cancel it in three month. I do love the Car, best car ever.

My wife and I come here for the quality and service you can only find here at this dealership and King Charles is an exemplary example of that service. Definitely stop by the dealership and ask for Charles. Pro tip: stop by bucees and grab him a rhino breakfast taco and watch him transform from Charles to King Charles. These guys are the worst. Just left there and they tried to sell me a 2022 Camry LE for $40k. I asked to see the sticker and dealer options. They said they didn’t have it. Not available. MSRP is $25k per Toyota website. There was a additional markup of $6000 due to market and economic situations. So, I’m asked to negotiate in the dark. I said, we’re done. Then they tried to hold on to my license and not let me leave. In the end, the guy had the audacity to tell me to come back when I’m serious. I told him I’m serious, you’re not. It’s insulting to be treated this way.Here is a lesson to you, young buck manager. People who have money keep their money because we spend it wisely. Just because you did your 411 on me and knew I can afford a car does not mean you come and try gouge me for money. Bad approach and bad tactics. And to not allow your buyer to see the sticker sheet is shady and not negotiating in good faith. Avoid these people at all cost.Oh.. btw, Francisco, my sales guy, was a cool dude. Not blaming him a bit. He did his job.
I just bought a car from this toyota dealer on the first of this month and being a first time buyer i was pretty nervous, i only hear bad things about car dealerships but im happy to say i had nun of that. I was very unsure and didnt know what to expect but my salesman Rommel took his time and helped me pick out the right car for me, he made the whole buying process really easy, no stress and thats really what i wanted out of this. 5/5 highly recommend if your looking for a whip.

Our sell person Sam( Vietnamese ) was great and very helpful. My parents only speak Vietnamese so it was difficult for them to communicate. Luckily Sam was there to take good care of them and helped them purchased the vehicle they wanted ( Red Toyota Highlander ). This is our second vehicle purchased at this Dealership and it wont be the last.
Be cautious of Belal Awad. Came in with my mother to trade in my vehicle and keep in mind, my car was not in great shape, but very fixable. Only cosmetic issues. He told me that the appraisal came out to be $6500. We told him we’d come back the next day because something came up, and we did. We didn’t meet him because we did get there an hour later than our appointment, so he had to go to a meeting, but we were left with a lady dealer. We tried explaining to her that my car already got appraised, but she insisted that it was not in the system so they had to do it again. The process took a min, long enough for Belal to get out of his meeting and found us. He told her to not worry about it because they got it appraised the day before but again she said it wasn’t in the system. Very suspicious of him to give her a serious look to tell her to not worry, “he got it”. It gave my mother and I super bad vibes. Belal kept mentioning that $6500 is a good price for my car and that I will never get a better price anywhere else. Then, later, they would tried to sneak it to us that the appraisal was $6000, instead of $6500. I even did the fast appraisal estimate online, and the range would’ve been $9500 (being the lowest)-$11500 (being the highest). So how did they get $6500? Maybe he thought he could pocket $3k? I dont know. OH, and on top of that, they said my mom and I’s credit was “super bad” like excuse me?? How was it super bad? On the Chase app, it says I have 694 credit score, obviously I know it’s not actually that number, but CarMax explained that usually it’s 50 points less than what the app says. 640-650 is not bad. But I think they told us it came out to be 550? Again, super weird.Anyways, we went somewhere else after, Texas Auto Direct offered $9,500 for my car, and Carmax offered $11,500. Toyota Dealership really tried to lowball me and my mother and I suspect it’s because we are “women that don’t know any better.” Super sexist and super sus if that’s the case. I found it to be very unacceptable and shocking to say the least. Will never go back to this place ever again. 0/10 experience.

I have bought 6 toyota Cars in the last past 8 years at DonMcgill, and I always was treated fair when it was down to business. Last week I went for a trade in and it did not work out well, 2021 Sienna XLC MRSP is $41000, their price is $46000 plus additional $5000 with the excuse that Toyota does not have production and they have a lot of demand and short inventory, they are washing everybody brains making customers applying for a vehicle that they dont even see, oh wait! They told me that there were 3 Toyotas Sienna coming the following week asking for a down to hold the car, besides I had to choose between gray and black color, but I wanted white color.At the end they wanted me to pay $950 a Month . For 84 Months... Do your math.Dont you ever believe them when they say Toyota finance will give you low interest, when you leave the dealership they keep calling you with more lies.

Reserved a test drive for a specific vehicle days in advance. Arrived on time and was told that the car was already sold. Was pressed to run numbers before seeing if they could find the car at another dealership. Said no, lets see if the other car is out there. It wasnt. Although its not the dealers fault that another car isnt out there, it was upsetting to take a long, expensive Uber to the dealership only to be told that the specific car I reserved with them was already gone. A call or email wouldve saved me the time and money. Also, the people werent very positive. They werent mean, but they werent excited or upbeat. Seemed nonchalant about selling me a car, like my business didnt really matter. Maybe it doesnt. Overall, bad vibes. 2 stars because the facility was clean.

Great shopping experience with Austin. Was able to provide me with extensive information regarding my purchase and left no doubt unanswered. He is excellent at following up with me, even after the purchase was completed. (5 out of 5 truly.)The overall experience was marred once the financing details had to be discussed. Initial prices that were discussed were all of a sudden changed as I was handed off to manager and then a financing specialist.The financing specialist tried to sell me on additional warranties that did not interest me. He made very valid points as to why I would benefit from purchasing the warranties, but I knew what I wanted and was keen on opt-ing out of any additional warranties. We went on for about 2 very exhausting hours, until he finally relented. A process that should have taken around 45 minutes was prolonged unnecessarily.All in all, they were willing to work with me and locked me in at a great rate. The back and forth left a bitter taste, but I get it, the associates need to make quotas and are just doing their job at the end of the day. I think this type of dynamic needs to improve across the organization.
This is by far the best car dealership! Everyone is so professional, they make purchasing a car very easy, stress-free, and not so time consuming. One of the best Sales rep. (Mr. Joseph) which I purchased 2 cars from, my daughter purchased her car from, and so did my son and several of our friends. For the Pros…Dealer was awesome while purchasing vehicle. Sanad was very polite and excellent to work with during the purchase of the vehicle. Sanad also, was very helpful to ensure vehicle was repaired. Had vehicle less than 24 hours and molding on top was coming off. Kenny in finance was very helpful and courteous.Purchased additional accessories for the vehicle. Robert in service and Carlos in parts were awesome in helping and showing how everything worked once installed.For the Cons…Have had the vehicle 5 weeks now and no car loan. Have called 3x to try and get this straightened out and no one has returned my calls. Would really like to get this straightened out.
Bought a used 2018 Tacoma. 4 days later a brake light and turn signal were out. Another week after that, the battery died.Even if the used toyota you buy is certified, take it elsewhere for an inspection. It will be worth the money.When my truck was finally ready on the day I bought it... there razor blades and dirty rags still in the car from whatever they were doing to it while I was doing paperwork.

The purchase experience was great from start to finish. The problem I had so far is that I have been waiting for the license plates and sticker to arrive for 3 1/2 months!!! Needless to say my temporary plate expired a month and half ago. I have been calling since my temporary plate was about to expire and I was told it was taking longer because of covid. Ok, fine, I called a few more times and same thing, I was even told my temporary plate was extended because of it. I guess that was B.S. because just this Saturday I get a letter from the dealer with a check for a refund for the license plates and sticker. The inspection was NEVER done at the dealership! Thats why they couldnt order the plates. I couldnt believe it. I had to go get the inspection and go to the court house to get my plates and registration myself, wait for 2 hours to finally get plates. Not very professional by Don McGill. Make sure if you buy vehicle from them, that they at least do the inspection before it leaves the lot.
I purchased a Lexus in December with the help of John Handy and Chris Rhodes. They made the experience amazing! I was able to take care of a lot of the business over the phone, and when I came in they already had the car pulled out for me, and the paperwork ready to go. I was in and out in about an hour. Unfortunately my car was totaled out 3 months later from a car accident, however I went back to John and Chris to purchase my next vehicle. They worked with me, and made sure I got a car that I LOVED! They stayed in communication with me the entire time I was looking for my next vehicle

I took my car to get the tint redone because it was bubbling and it’s under warranty. I haven’t had the car not even a year. I dropped off my car on July 28, 2020 and got it back on July 30,2020 with tint in worse condition and with additional damages done to my car interior.So, I took my car back for a second time on August 4, 2020 to get the work done right this time. I was told the car was ready for pick up on August 8, 2020. Then, after thoroughly inspecting it I noticed more damages done to my car and the tint is still bubbly and streaked.I used to have so much trust in this dealership and was pleased with their customer service but this being the second time they do not do a job well done really worries me.It clearly shows they do not have qualified personnel working in those departments as their job has been done very poorly and it shows.Lissa, was very helpful but the car didn’t get inspected thoroughly before calling me and telling me it was ready for pick up.Now I have to take it back for a third time so they can fix what they damaged the second time. There shouldn’t be any interior or exterior damages done to my car. The tint job is a different topic. If it’s bubbly then it would explain the job wasn’t done right but for them to burn / melt parts of my car exterior and scratch my interior door panels I have a huge problem with that. Why is that necessary ?This is not going to keep customers coming back to this dealership when they are ready to upgrade or buy another vehicle.This is very disappointing and very time consuming to say the least.

This is your typical dealership. Not bad on wait times for services, the paperwork was super smooth. The people were kind and generous, theres even a fridge with free water? Amazing. Gracy absolutely stood out to me. She spent time to look at my needs, my wants, my options, and factored everything into choosing the perfect vehicle for me and my family. Gracy is by-far the best salesperson Ive had in years, very casual to talk to, super professional and all about business. Beautiful personality which made me and my family comfortable and not like they were trying to force a sale on us. Never thought Id be a Toyota owner coming from a family of Jeeps but here I am, happy as Id ever be. Gracy definitely made the visit a 5 Star experience.

FRAUD. They tried to pull a blatant bait and switch. I received an unsolicited purchase offer for my vehicle from this dealership. It was their official letterhead and everything, even a hand written note from the sales guy asking me to call him asap.My car is in great condition and ultra low mileage, 18.5k miles for a 2018. I took time out of my day to go in and they came back with $25,000, almost $5k less than their formal offer of vehicle purchase. You can look at the picture for yourself, they even hand wrote in confirmed next to the dollar amount!Theyre buying this car from me so they can sell it to someone else and make money, right? So if youre buying a car and youre the one they want to make money off of, imagine what tricks theyll pull with you if they did this with me. They tried to tell me we dont send these out, its a third party, but once again its their official letterhead and the salesmans handwriting.

He was very attentive showing all the options for the vehicle I was looking for, great at explaining the difference between them and giving all the time needed even though it was close to closing time. Jose Martinez was very nice and helpful. He was able to get me a decent deal on my new car and even followed up a week after. The price exceeded my original budget but I’m overall happy with the experience purchasing at DonMcGill.This dealership offers lifetime power train warranty on Toyota new vehicles - another important reason for me to make the decision of purchasing here.The only thing that wasn’t 100% happy - is the interest rate I got. I have excellent credit score and for sure wasn’t expecting the rate to exceed 3% but it turned out to be higher. Although it’s not like the dealership can decide the rate. So still 5 star for the experience. But keep in mind when you negotiate the price, confirm is it with the rebate discount or without.

My experience with Don McGill Toyota has been ongoing. The relationship grew as a result of me wanting to maintain the friendship with my original salesperson. Never have I cared to do that before. It changed when I met Lissa Sundberg. She was so good then that they made her a manager. When I return for service, I always touch base with her, despite her now very busy schedule. I know if I am ready for another purchase she will be right there to help again.
I had the best experience at Don McGill. I wasnt 100% of which car brand I wanted and when I first went in I felt so comfortable, but I still went to the other dealership after I left.Adam N. was an amazing sales guy for me and took the time and effort to make sure I knew about all the safety features and different things on the vehicle.Asst. sales manager Chris was able to work with me and made sure I felt comfortable with the pricing and was in a good place.My finance guy Kenny was AMAZING! He was great to work with and even though their main thing is to make sure all the paperwork is in order and warranties and extras are in place.All around each person I encountered has a great attitude and a smile on their face. Buying a new car can be a very stressful situation especially when you dont know completely what you want, but they worked their magic and it was great.I will definitely use Don McGill again for my next vehicle.
