Its the worst dealership ever. You take your car for service with an appointment and it will take more than week. I took my car on 9/9/21 for warranty repair and the adviser said it will be ready on Monday. On Tuesday I called to pick up my car and they told me it will be ready on Friday. I said that they told me Monday, the adviser Peter said, you think youre the only car in the dealership. All this and when I asked for a loaner, they said they didnt have any! How am I supposed to get to work. Do they want me to stay home till my car is finished and in Sugar Land there is no public transportation. Its awful and I will never buy VW again .
Disappointed to digest today. Not only to find out the service advisor I had been coming too has been charging me for services that I have not been receiving, but what happen to REAL customer service. Lets be HONEST and UPFRONT and not MISLEADING or TAKING ADVANTAGE of people who really want to fix things wrong with their vehicle
This is a great place to buy a car! We drove four hours from South Texas to get to Houston. We bought the most beautiful car that day, after seeing it on their website. The sales staff was great, even sending us extra photos when we requested them before traveling to the dealer. We had the pleasure of talking to the sales manager, who made sure everything was perfect for us so we could buy the car we selected that day, and leave early enough for a safe drive back to South Texas. Also, Archer VW offers all kinds of competitive financing - something for everyone. While we purchased our beautiful car, we noticed that every sales booth had a sale in progress. They detailed the already perfect car one more time before handing over the keys. Everyone we dealt with was nice, and we are happy with our car and final price. We give them 5 stars!

I have been looking for a car for my daughter for a couple of weeks now. During this time I visited several dealerships to look at multiple cars and encountered every type of uncharge you could imagine - nitrogen in tires, gps tracking, protection plan, etc, etc. Not at Archer VW. They were straight with me, the price was the price (no games), and they treated me very well, even though I was buying a modestly priced pre-owned car. It was literally a breath of fresh air compared to my experiences over the past couple of weeks. My only regret was that I didnt visit them first and skip all the frustration and wasted time I experienced at other dealerships! Thank you Archer VW for giving a great customer experience!
We bought the car during the beginning of the pandemic, March/April of 2020. The worked remotely with us to hash hill out most of the details as we lived out of town. They were quick to follow up on correspondence.Update: 1 year later my car window tint wouldn’t pass inspection so I reached out, expecting to be told sorry nothing we can do. Without hesitation they said if you are close bring it in we will have our team take care of the window tinting, but since we were out of town the are going to reimburse me for the work I have to have done on my windows to pass inspection. Top notch place in my experience, which is all I can speak to.

Bought a used car from them. Come to find that they did not provide me with the key for the lug nuts. Got a flat tire so cannot take the wheel off. They will not provide me with a key, but rather want me to drive in to them to get them removed. When I say I cannot drive in due to the flat, they want me to get towed in. Very frustrating service. They seem to care a lot when selling to you but after that the service drops of rapidly
Went in just to check out the new Taos and test drive it but an hour later drove off with one. Josh W. was very helpful and explained to me the whole process, this was my first new vehicle purchase and he guided through the whole process and all in one hour. Im extremely happy with my new Taos and I definitely recommend Archer and see Josh if you looking to buy a new vehicle.
Dont go here. Waited 3 months just for a $500 oil change. THEIR MECHANICS ARE QUITING OR SHORT STAFFED. Theyll try to fix everything that isnt related to an oil change that cost $500. They are just broke because of the pandemic and are trying to sham people into buying cars or over expensive repairs for no reason.
We just purchased a used 2011 VW JSW TDI. Our salesperson was Habib and he did a marvelous job and he sealed the deal for us. We love our new (to us) car. Habib made sure the car was detailed, filled with fuel, all of the issues we discussed remedied and we could not be happier.He stayed in touch via text daily as we could not get to the dealership to pick the car up for a week. I took a 2011 Jetta in Feb, after Archer VW’s diagnosis, I got a bill of over $5500. I asked what the current issue was with the car as I couldn’t afford it. Turns out it was the fuel line but they thought to send me a huge bill to cover other “recommended” repairs and told me all these weren’t covered under the warranty. In June, called them to see if I could drive in to check the catalytic converter light that came on in my car. Walk-ins are welcome and this is clearly an emergency, according to the VW manual. But Cory asked for my number on the phone, found my account details and told me they can’t see me for another 3 weeks. This is still under warranty, because of a 2019 recall. I’m not sure who’s giving these guys 5 stars but always check what’s covered under your VW extended warranty otherwise they’ll tell you it’s not covered.
The “Service department” is horrible. They have no idea what they are doing. I came in to purchase a tire, placed the order and they told me it would be in by two days. I got back in three days because I never received a call, the person I am speaking with tells me they never received the order; I show them my receipt 🧾 and they look dumbfounded and says they never placed it. I had to wait more days to get what I paid for. They are rude and do not provide adequate service.
It is the third car that we bought from the same location and the same sales agent Chris Hernandez, excellent customer service, they do not pressure you when choosing your car and most importantly they do not have you waiting a whole day to make a purchase! in Archer it is only 1, 2, 3 and voila you leave driving any vehicle My husband and I have had the best Archer Southwest experience
Had a wonderful experience purchasing my now 2013 Passat TDI. Wanted a car that gave me great mileage and this one was perfect, Habib Benkirane was the salesman helping me and I had a great experience with him, because he never hovered around me while I looked at vehicles. He showed me about 4-5 cars but nothing compared to the one I picked. If you want a great experience and service talk to Habib, he’ll do everything possible to get you out of their with the best price on your car purchase.
Days later they still have a Silverado falsely listed on TrueCar as 35,000 miles when the Carfax shows the mileage has been altered and is really 75,000 milages... Someone needs to report them so they can be charged a $43,000 fine! This is not innocent Ive already informed them!!! Theyre hoping that someone doesnt pay attention and get screwed if you ask me.
Very disappointed with service.. Went to get a oil change and they didn’t even wash my car, I bought my vehicle in March.. Never got a curtesy call or anything.. Not the way business is done.. Don’t recommend 👈🏾😡

Dealership had a decent price for an Atlas Cross Sport. Gave them my trade info. Their website said 14900 on the trade but without options. They emailed me that they would go 14500 on my trade. KBB trade on my vehicle avg was 16700. I told them that was too low. They didn’t even ATTEMPT to earn my business. Their sales person started sending me links to less equipped higher mileage cars for sale saying they wouldn’t go any higher. Another dealers initial offer was 2500 higher AND their identical vehicle was 500 cheaper. Shop around because this dealership doesn’t care about earning your business. They will try to screw you on your trade.
Traded my car in with Rico, and it was a great experience. He answered all my questions, gave me a fair price for my vehicle and a great deal on a VW Atlas Cross Sport. Found a used vehicle online and emailed to set up a test drive for the following day. As soon as I arrived the vehicle was ready and the process was quick and easy. At this site Archer arrived for the first engine oil and filter change in my car. They welcomed us very well. We waited around 40 min. The Manager told us ... Your car is ready, sign a form and they gave me the keys and the car. I went to check the job and noticed that the oil filter had not been changed. I notified the Manager, the Manager called the technician. I showed them both that the old filter had my signature on it and was still installed in my car. WATCH OUT! Caution if they go to this site.
The service center is awful. I have a 2020 Tiguan where the Lane Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control stopped working. The service writer that greeted me, immediately said that was an out of warranty repair. He was so quick to that response that he was obviously trained about this issue. I told them that I already spoke with VW support and that this IS covered under warranty. The service writer told me that they would run a diagnostic on the car but if a calibration needed to be run on those sensors that it would be $265 to fix the issues. I immediately left as I did not trust this dealership with my car. Outside of the rude and unprofessional behavior or the service center, the dealership is old and not well maintained. I would never recommend Archer Volkswagen to anyone. If my car had been in an accident I understand how that would be an out of warranty repair but on a brand new vehicle with less than 3000 miles on it? Yeah get real. Went to another Volkswagen dealership in the area and form the very start the experience was night and day difference, and at the end of the day my issues was fixed and calibrated at no cost because it was a warranty related repair.
I brought my 2016 golf in for an oil change and some parts that were recalled in the fuel system. The steering column was defective also. When I finally get my car back it was still not working properly. The gas gauge is still off. Of the middle vents on the dash, the one on the left had its directional control broken off. Whom ever they allowed to drive my car left trash through out the car. I found someones AirPod in the back seat. Im a clean person and I kept my vehicles in the same manner. Fast food wrappers, napkins soda cups were left in my car like it was rented by a college kid. The tint had to be replaced due to being poorly installed when I bought it. It too wasnt done correctly either. I had to have it redone like everything thing else the service department said theyd fix initially upon arrival. The loaner they gave me had some sort of sensor in it that was in the car when I brought it back. The service department manager accused me of taking it. I know that its useless due to the fact that it ran on gps. Furthermore, I have a license to uphold pertaining to my job. Im a Subsea Engineer. With that being said I will lose numerous licenses I hold let alone everything Ive built with my company. I took that as a serious insult to my caricature. I was also charged for gas when I brought it back at the same level it was given to me. I have never been so embarrassed! Not once have I ever had a problem at the Land rover dealership when I take it in. Nor the Ford dealership with my F-350. All of my vehicles are are barely driven because I work overseas six months out of the year. So theyre all under 50,000 miles. They have the extended warranties to cover any problems that my arise. I called the dealership Wednesday of this week to schedule maintenance on it. I spoke to Ivan and the manager no one has contacted me about having it brought in. This is highly unacceptable! If this is how Archer handles business I will definitely file a claim with the BBB!
Just bought a 2018 VW Convertible Beetle from Archer. Jeremy and Roy assisted and were great. Test drive, negotiation, and purchase process went very smooth. We feel comfortable with the purchase price and appreciate Jeremy holding the vehicle until we made a decision. This was our 3rd VW purchased from Archer (love our Atlas) and have good experience during our visits at the service department for standard maintenance. Other dealerships may have a newer, bigger show room, and a larger lot than Archer but who pays for that? Id rather get savings by having less pizzazz. I encourage you to consider Archer for a good deal and experience when shopping for your next car.
NO STARS IF I COULD.I WONT RECOMMEND this dealership to no one. They tried to SCAM me and ran my credit even though I told them I was using my own bank. I went in 9/23 test drove the car and they gave me the price for my trade in and then I told the guy I wasn’t putting any money down and no problem. I had already started my application to use my bank while I was talking to the guy. He ended up coming leaving and came back with papers and said this bank approved me and what not and I told him I was using my bank so Even though they ran my credit I have no choice but to see what they came up with. They gave me the price of the car and monthly payments $925 and no need for a down payment. I ended up telling the guy that I’m going to finish filling out my application and send my bank the paperwork they need and see what they approve me for and he was okay (more like bothered). The next day My bank gave me their numbers and I called the guy who was helping me and told him that I was going to go ahead and work with their bank and they ended up saying I needed a down payment of $6000 and I was like I didn’t need one yesterday and he said that the bank needed it because of the high monthly payment so I told him like how did this change and what not. I emailed the manager to see if he could help. The manager said that the bank wants $6000. I ended up calling the bank that approved me and they told me it was only $2,200 down payment and the bank didn’t see a $6000 down payment and to ask the dealership to break down that $6000 so I emailed the manager back and he said that there wasn’t a break down. I’m really upset for the fact that they ran my credit and then try to scam me. They are more worried about making the commission than selling their vehicles.
I live all the way down south in Lake Jackson, TX and have to drive an hour to get serviced. Any time I do the team at Archer (especially Ivan Wong) takes care of me. From getting me an Uber to go grab lunch, to loaning me a car for a day, these folks do excellent customer service!

Amazing service from the start. I had been having a horrible experience at the Momentum Volkswagen at Kirby location and decided to bring my vehicle to Archer Volkswagen instead. BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE! They immediately took care of my issues and have always been very communicative and responsive. I have dealt with Lisa and Luis and they are both amazing service advisers. They always have a loaner for me to take or have it ready the next day. They both also will provide me with a ride home when it is just a day in service. The service team (Luis C. was my advisor) was speedy and honest about fixes that were recommended v. required. Highly responsive to questions throughout my service and the service was done in a timely fashion! Expect dealership prices but totally worth for the quality of work that was done. They didnt have a loaner car available (odd?) during my cars service, but they paid to uber me home and to the dealership once it was done.
BUYER BEWARE! Run dont walk away. Matt Collins the salesman wouldnt do anything after he ran my credit and it was approved. Said he was going to do things now. Hours later never even a message back. Have to message him daily to make contact and only gives excuses. Its raining and such. Called the sales manager he said and the sales manager said he was very sorry and would have another salesman contact me. Didnt hear from anyone for 2 days. Sales manager messages at 2:30am saying to fill out the credit app which they already had and approved 2 days prior. BAD BAD BUSINESS HOLDING PEOPLES CREDIT HOSTAGE.

The servicing department in this place is a scam. They try and over-charge, massively, for everything unless you show some knowledge of what they are talking about and then their price magically drops. Someone at corporate level needs to get control of it.

Ivan Wong has helped me 2ce in the past, once with an oil change (I had a coupon for a free oil change) and once just to run my car and see whats wrong with it, which he never charged me for. I went in the other day for a diagnostic test again that he previously did for me free of charge. He didnt talk to me when I brought my car in to tell me how long of a wait or if it cost at all. Then he hit me with a $150 cost, just to do what auto zone does for free. He said I cut the price in half. You have to pay $75. I didnt have $75 for a diagnostic test and I was not told before hand that it would cost, when in the past it didnt. Not okay, I wont be back.

Horrible service will never come here again. Made an apt because they said they were backed up my car then sat there for 3 days i had to call and see what was going on. Finally they told me what was wrong tried to tell me it wasn’t covered under my warranty, which in fact it was. I had to go through my paperwork and read the fine print and TELL them that it was covered. Obviously they don’t know how to do their job properly. I finally picked my car up and there was black stuff all on the the floor of the driver side.

Archer Volkswagen is an excellent place to purchase a vehicle! I purchased a new vehicle from Ricardo Rico Buchanan. I called the night before and told him I would like to test drive the following morning at 9AM when they opened before I went to work. He, however, was not scheduled to work until 11AM. I told him I would just ask for the sales manager and to please not come in early on my account. I arrived the following morning at 8:50AM to find the store open and Rico there ready to assist me. He is incredibly knowledgeable about Volkswagens, patient, helpful, calm, accommodating and not the least bit pushy. It was a pleasure to deal with him. Instead of being uptight while purchasing, you feel like you are visiting with a friend. The entire staff was very hospitable and ready to help with all. The finance manager was equally helpful and pleasant. When I took delivery of the vehicle, it was spotless and had a full tank of gas. My entire experience with Archer Volkswagen and Rico was an absolute pleasure. If you’re in the market for a VW, I highly recommend Chris and Archer VW. I went car shopping at Archer a couple of days ago and I had the best car shopping experience I’ve ever had. Chris Hernandez is a consummate professional — from reaching out to me and keeping me updated on what they had in stock to test driving with me because I’m not great with not getting lost and being really up front, honest and helpful — he made the experience fun and easy. Honestly, I can’t say enough nice things. It’s kind of cliché but my experience with Archer was that of a well-oiled machine.

I dropped my car off around 7:30AM on Tuesday, July 14th. I was told my car might be diagnosed the same or next day. I called Thursday morning because I had not heard anything and was told my car and had been diagnosed on Wednesday, and my approval was needed. I was asked if Id received an email requesting my approval. I had not, so the email was sent while I was on the phone. I know the email was not sent on Wednesday when the diagnosis was completed because when I received the email while I was on the phone, I also received a confirmation by text. I had not received any other texts regarding my vehicle prior to this one. I was told my high pressure fuel pump was bad, and it would be $1400 to fix. I paid the $132 diagnosis fee and took my car to two other shops to get a second opinion. Both (one of which is another Volkswagen dealership) confirmed that my fuel pump is fine and agreed that the issue is not related to the fuel pump.The time before last that I visited this dealership my car was given back to me with mud on the floors. When I asked for it to be cleaned, the cashier and person who drove my car around from the shop were rude and said the car wash was closed. They did not offer to let me return for a wash, and I should not have needed to return because they should have had my car cleaned and ready to go before telling me it was ready. I spent $600+ during that visit. The least that could be done is giving me back my car in the same state of cleanliness in which I dropped it off.I kept giving this place additional tries because I liked the service agent, and he usually gives and honest opinion regarding the necessity of required repairs vs recommendations.I would have been left without a car for however many days had I not called and checked on the status of my diagnosis. This experience was utterly frustrating, and I received nothing of value in exchange for my money.

I don’t know if I am more annoyed at the fact that it hasn’t been 6 months since I got a new Jetta 2020 at Archer, and the electronics are already failing; or because I am gonna have to deal with the rudeness of the people from the service center who respond to my complain with a : “that’s how electronics are, my iPhone is giving me problems. I don’t know how long it will take us to fix your problem”

I call to get a radio safe code for radio I purchase from the eBay I call to get a code the price was $135 man I purchase the radio for $25 I find online company the get you the code for $12 they over price everything

After two separate visits in which we were provided a documented quote by two different managers, the dealership informed us that they would not honor their quoted price when we decided to buy the car. Robert Archer III, the first person to write up the original quote, claimed that the quote was based off of a lower trim model and he couldn’t match the deal despite the fact that the number originally quoted was right in line with KBB’s fair price and what other dealerships are offering around the nation. The only reason why we didn’t move on this car earlier was because something seemed off about the dealership even during our first visit. Their sales staff is at best lukewarm when it comes to how they treat others and it is now abundantly clear that their financial and managerial staff is a joke.
I would not give them ANY star if i had choice. These lying cheating people dont deserve a single star. Worst sales customer service.

Wish I could have been given a better price for my trade in but I get it they in it to make money. Staff was friendly and courteous. Competitive prices on their new vehicles.
Very disappointed in the service with this place. They have had my 2011 Routan for a month and have not completed the work required to get my vehicle in drivable conditions. I have had to rent vehicles and have no other way to get around. I am in constant stress having to ask for rides now. The money they are charging is an astronomical amount with the car rentals.

Wow! Could not have had an easier buying experience! Matt Collins was a so easy to work with. He asked me what I wanted and never tried to steer me into a vehicle I did not ask for. He took notes went to work and found the exact vehicle I was looking for. Within 3 days in driving my new car, the car that 3 other local dealers said was just not available. Thank you again Matt!

Very helpful and welcoming. salesman had answers for all my questions. was willing to work around my schedule to set up the sell. not five stars because the car had a few quirks that could have easily been fixed before showing but thats the maintenance departments fault and not the sales team I suppose. the faults are being corrected free of charge. was willing to deliver car to closer dealership free of charge which is fantastic for customer retention and appreciation.
