ALL the Waikiki Trolley staff were super nice! We ended up switching our tickets to another day, and the staff helped us do this SO easily! Then, my partner and I had a great time with Big Tony! He was funny, knowledgeable, and had great recommendations for other things to do in town. Thank you Big Tony and ALL the Waikiki Trolley staff!

Easy way to see Hawaii. I was on all lines except for pink. The blue line in my opinion is the most underrated line it has the most scenic views. The red line takes you down to historic down town rich in culture and Hawaii 5-0 fan stop. Green line takes you up to diamond head great hike and view point. You have to pay an admission fee of a dollar and the only take cash so you may want to keep some change handy. Purple line takes you to pear harbor and the stadium where can get souvenirs on select days. I wish they had an affordable 3 day package

I got a pass card to use all the six lines for 5 days, hop on hop off, it was great fun to feel free to vist different areas at my own pace and whenever I wanted just take a break for lunch, explore the area or to go to the hotel for a nap.The hub where I got the few days pass is inside the T Galleria Hawai, and for the mature +60 or 65? and young at heart, there is a significant discount, just ask about it. Families with children, solo travelers if all ages, seniors, all young at heart and eager to learn about the beautiful area. The drivers are well versed in the history of the area, and in the trams and double deckers, briefed us on where we were and what we were seeing. The Purple line goes all the way to Pear Harbor and back, every hour appx. Suggest to go early if you plan to visit you might need few hours if you miss the 4:15 to return....its pretty far and not great way back. The tram starts at 7am 🤣 ok... next one leaves at 8.10am to get some breakfast before 👏

This was our way of ending the day thought well take a look around the home front here in Waikiki. As we started to turn down from Fort De Russey we ran into the trolly and of course we waved at the visitors and said Aloha and Konnichiwa to make them feel comfortable and aware that the Aloha Sprint still lives. So husband said lets see if we can get a picture of the driver and did at the next light. Big Shaka and the Alohaaaaa Sprint came through with this driver as seen. The last photo is of us going home to Niu St. but its the moment we had we the Trolly driver for which heading home off into the sunset that allowed for both of us to breathe in The Aloha Sprint. Mahalo (thanks) from the families of Niu St. Here in Honolulu Hawaii byways of Waikiki. June 11,2019Updates. New Trolly bus on our block and its covered with Honus/turtles all over it and yes that view passing by is so great! On rainy days the windows are up but on sunny days wide open view is made for their visitors and you know what that means? Waves to the drivers and the visitors 1 Shaka at a time. Aloha from Niu Street in Waikiki.

Hands down the most unreliable transportation service in Honolulu. They are incapable of staggering their double deckers. Today 11/4/19 12:59, waited over 40 minutes in front of the post office. They tout there’s a bus every 10 minutes or whatever. So we keep waiting thinking one’s chugging down the street any minute now but here we are 40 minutes on. So buses are coming one after another instead.

What a fun way to check out the Waikiki Beach area. We sat up stairs and did a whole loop just for the view from the second story. Most people were using it for commuting between Waikiki Beach to the mall and back. For $2.50 each, it was great. The drivers do not give you a tour. They do call out the stops as they make them. This is more like a city bus experience than a tour bus. The weather was great and I couldnt believe how much different the city looked from the second story of the bus. Im so glad that we tried it. There are different colored lines to choose from, depending on what area you are looking to cover.

I am writing in regards to the pink line shopping trolley. There are so many places you can jump on it. It goes in a big circle all over downtown Waikiki. The double decker is fun for the kids. It takes about an hour or so to get back to the spot you got on. You can get off wherever it stops and explore but if you want to get back on you have to pay again. The drivers are super helpful and friendly.#1 MAKE SURE TO HAVE CASH! $2.00 per person and they dont give change. Its a lot of fun if you want check out downtown and dont want to do a lot of walking. The kids love it!

Being a solo, older traveller I find a lot of places dont welcome me. The Trolley was a great solo experience, I took the blue line and got some amazing photos. Very beautiful, I sat up top, it gets windy so if you have asthma below Is better for you, otherwise hold on to your hat and have your camera ready. Friendly ambassador and driver, definitely worth the $25, and if you take the first one of the day it sounds like you can actually get off at some of the spots (the mall and sea life park) and grab it when it comes back! Just keep your ticket. Last big bonus is they take credit card - just have some cash handy for gratuity if youd like to tip.

If you are new to Waikiki DO NOT take this trolley. The people running the main desk were completely unhelpful, offering no explanation for their strange system of paper and laminated passes and often making things more confusing. They did not answer any questions we asked about which line we needed and timing, instead they explained the system only after we had been forced to figure it out ourselves. The trolleys are also incredibly unreliable, starting late and running late all day long. We had bought these passes to avoid using too many Lyfts or renting a car - we ended up having to do both just to make it to our desired destinations in a reasonable time. They sold us Iolani Palace tour passes without explaining that it was for the audio tour which didnt start until 10:30 (we bought the passes at 8:30) and we had to wait around the palace for a full hour due to this lack or explanation. They also failed to explain that the palace had been closed due to a bee infestation - causing us quite a bit of worry when the trolley driver told us this AFTER we were on our way. Thankfully we were able to Google the status of the palace and discover that it had luckily reopened that day.In summary: The trolley is late and the people unhelpful. We used it for 2 of the 7 days we paid for. An absolute waste of money.

I boarded the Pink Line Trolley in front of the Aston Waikiki hotel at 1:55pm on May 10, 2016. All I wanted to do was to take a ride on the trolley and return to the hotel. My first time to Oahu and I wanted to see a little bit of the area around my hotel. Upon walking onto the trolley I was greeted by the most unfriendly, arrogant, down right belligerent trolley driver that someone could come in contact with. I politely told him that I just wanted to take a ride and return to the hotel. He responded with a very loud voice telling me where the final destination of the trolley was. This made no sense to me. I stated again that I just wanted to take a ride on the trolley and return to the hotel. His response was to just stare at me and say nothing. I then politely asked how much the ride was. His response was to bang his hand on the sign in front of him and say in a loud voice, the sign says its $2. I deposited the $2 and sat down. After 3 or 4 stops by the trolley I realized that I wasnt totally sure that the trolley returned to my hotel, so I got off and walked the distance back to my hotel. This guy is definitely in the wrong line of work. So my message to you....watch out for the Pink Line Trolley driver from Hell. Im not concerned at all for my family or myself because I will never step foot on the Pink Line Trolley again!!!

Ended up calling and was told to pay driver in cash for more tickets and get a refund for our online tickets. When we went to get a refund for our online tickets we were told at the office that we could have used our online email on the bus to get tickets from the driver! Was told to call website back to get a refund! (after I was told to go in person to the office for my refund) have called the office. Am still waiting to hear back. Also, there was a parade on and waited over an hour for bus back as one was cancelled. There was no mention of this to us. My advice: dont bother. Get the bus. We had 10 dollars with us. The driver was so rude and didnt even bother to even listen to us. We were ready to give the whole 10 dollars for the ride back to our hotel. If he is collecting 2 dollars from every customer I dont think it would have been that difficult to give us the 2 dollar Change to us. I am writing a review on our adventures on the Waikiki Trolley, which we have used extensively during our visits to the island of Oahu. The trolleys here are replicas of the ones in San Francisco, only these have wheels!  I can tell you, that as a vacationer, the trolley is an economical form of transportation (next to The Bus) and the open air on a warm day is invigorating. With that being said, not all trolleys go to the same place.  I have seen a lot of trolleys going the same way of our intended destination that are empty, but will not pick you up...I used to think that those are the chartered ones, going out of service, the driver has to pee, or whatever the case maybe.Hopping on some of these trolleys when they are semi full is another challenge all together, especially during the years that our children were small.  I guess Im just spoiled and like to complain. The Waikiki Trolley travels to most of the islands major attractions and shopping malls of Oahu.  My only suggestion, plan ahead, know your trolley colors, and have a great day!Heres a little history of this famous tourist attraction. The island trolley service started on April 18, 1986, with just two trolley cars.  They were the first trolleys to hit Oahu streets since the electric trolleys of the early 1900′s.Today, Waikiki Trolley operates a fleet of over 50 trolleys.  The trolleys are classic street reproductions of San Francisco cable cars with authentic brass and wood trimmings. The fleet also includes double-decker buses used exclusively for the Red and Blue lines. The first stop locations included Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, Honolulu Zoo, Waikiki Aquarium, and my favorite Ala Moana Center. In 1988, Waikiki Trolley expanded its service to downtown Honolulu and Old Town Honolulu Tour, which is the original routing for the current Honolulu City Tour (Red Line). The trolley takes you to many of the islands historical sites, King Kamehameha Statue and `Iolani Palace. The trolley drivers are very knowledgeable and can also tell you little secrets that are even unknown to many residents. The current Waikiki Trolley covers as far west as Chinatown, and as far east as Kahala Mall, making it one of the most elaborate routes for Honolulu and its surrounding areas.Over the past 24 years, Waikiki Trolleys have carried over eight million passengers, and have more than enough mileage to drive over 8 times around the Earth. Here is my tip to inbound travelers:Multi-day trolley passes; allow unlimited boarding privileges on all four lines for either 4 days or 7 days.Single-day passes; allow unlimited boarding on all four lines.  Separate prices are charged for adults, seniors, Kamaaina (local residents) and children.Boarding passes can be purchased at most hotel concierge or activity desks on Oahu.
