A/C is terrible-needs to be replaced!!! It currently is 80 degrees in here!Dirty!!! How do you have professional cleaners in and the ceiling fans are coated in inches of dirt and mold! Oh and the air vents, oh and don’t look behind the washer and dryer!! Oh and the blinds and windows! Also, make the cleaners wipe down out door tables and furniture! Hope the owners know they are paying for terrible cleaning service! Also, if you pay to stay for a week then they should at least supply you with garbage bags, toilet paper, paper towels, dish detergent and dish soap for a week! Location is good, pool nice.
4 Nighthawk is paradise! We’ve stayed here multiple times and have never once been disappointed! It’s a beautiful house! Island rentals of Hilton has been a dream to work with they are top notch and they’re properties are gorgeous!! Highly recommend!
Careful......weve been staying on Hilton Head for a few years now. We like to try out different places. The house we rented, 22 Red Maple was perfect for 4 adults. No more. The house was rather dirty- Ill say it was much cleaner when we left. The pool was lovely. Theres a huge alligator in the pond between the pool and 17th hole....so keep that in mind with small children. Whats concerning is the owners of Island Rentals. I spoke with Jay, one of their property managers, starting Saturday morning, due to our TV not working. And by TV, I mean all 47 TVs throughout the house. The cable wasnt working when we arrived on Thursday. It was my fault, per the owner of Island Rentals, Travis.......keep that in mind, to not have called Thursday. It might not seem like a big deal when the weather is gorgeous as it was for us both Thursday and Friday, but Saturday it poured all day. I was on the phone with Hargray, their cable provider for part of the island, per Travis. I was given the runaround from Jay on Saturday, hence calling the cable company myself, whom told me finally that someone would have to come out. All in all, I wouldnt recommend Island Rentals. The customer service was horrible from the beginning. Nothing was offered in return for the cable not working because again, per Travis the owner, I didnt call Thursday when I knew, when it was absolutely gorgeous all day. Also, as mentioned, be careful with small children at that house as the alligator in that pond is pretty big. Hopefully this helps in your stay at HH. It is the best city, but I would go with VRBO.....something more reliable. Note in the pictures below, where Im standing in distance to the alligator. Take care!
We had planned a somewhat spontaneous trip to Hilton Head a few months ago and were so happy to find a beautiful home to stay in during that trip. With the virus outbreak, we had to cancel our plans. Island Rentals of Hilton Head was great to us. They could have easily offered a credit for a future stay, but that would not have worked out for us since we wont be able to get to HH anytime in the next year or more. They were able to get us a refund. With everything going on right now, this is a huge relief. Thank you Island Rentals of Hilton Head!!
After looking online and seeing that the dates were available for the rental I wanted, I read the reviews and some people said the pool might not be open because of Covid. Also, we wanted to bring our dogs with us so I wondered what the fee was as that was not online. Those were the two questions I asked when I emailed island rentals of Hilton head. The response I got back was the dates were available and I could book online. If this is the kind of communication you do, I have no desire to rent from your company.Driving six hours to a disaster does not sound like my idea of a vacation.
I have used Island Rentals of Hilton Head several times for my vacation rentals. It was very easy to book on their website, and their response was timely. Island Rentals has a large portfolio of rentals including villas and homes, lots of choices. In every case, I found my rental to be spotlessly clean and well appointed. All of my requests and questions were answered immediately. I highly recommend this company.
We booked an ocean front condo in March for a September vacation. We spent extra money and booked ocean front because we have a daughter that would be 6 months at the time of our vacation. Upon arrival, we received a call from the property manager saying that they had double booked our condo. They sent us on a wild goose chase to a new condo. We needed a pet friendly condo similar to the one we originally booked, but they sent us to a non pet friendly resort. We ended up over a mile from the beach which resulted in a miserable stay with a 6 month old. Too far to easily walk back up to the room with her. My wife was miserable the entire time. They gave us the difference in the booking price and commission, but I don’t feel it was near enough considering we only go on a beach trip once a year.Don’t book with this company. Use sunset rentals or VRBO so you get what you pay for!
We have used Island Rentals several times for our vacation to HHI. SUPER thrilled with our condo we rent at The Breakers every spring. This past April we had to cancel our trip due to COVID and Island Rentals were very accomadating in our refund and offering 10% off next Spring. Thank you for being accomadating! We look forward to visitng April 2021!! Fingers crossed!!
Tried to book one of their rooms which was listed on Airbnb. After enquiring about any discounts they might have on the property since there were no reviews yet, they responded that the listing had been posted on other sites before and they didnt have any discounts available. Understandable and not an issue. However, I went to book the room the same day (less than 24 hours since my first message) and they had raised the price from $720 for a week to $1355! Tried to ask about getting the price back to what it was originally and never heard back. Makes me glad I didnt go ahead sooner so I dont have to deal with this company.
Travis and Carla run a tight ship. We checked in, had no issues. They have recommendations based on our needs on things to do in the area. The condo we stayed in was clean, had a fresh look, and was perfect. I will rent from them time and time again. Thank you for your professionalism yet personal touch. Truly amazing people!

Our recent stay in Hilton Head was perfect. If I could give more than five stars, I would! The house was very clean, well stocked, and spacious. Any questions or concerns that I had were addressed in a timely manner and the property manager was extremely kind and helpfuI. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a vacation home and would absolutely use them again!

This company is a joke. We got double booked and ended up over a mile away from the beach with a 6 month old. Upon arrival, they informed us we were double booked, and they sent us on a wild goose chase to condos that weren’t pet friendly. The management was a joke, and we had to call numerous times to get a response. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. We have stayed in Hilton Head numerous times and haven’t experienced anything like this. Stay clear of Island Rentals of Hilton Head and use VRBO or Sunset Rentals.

We love HHI BUT WILL NEVER stay in this unit 34 Ocean Breeze or use Island Rentals of Hilton Head to rent anything. This unit was filthy with hunks of dark dog hair everywhere but worst in the upstairs master bedroom & bath. We couldnt even sleep in the bed the 1st night. My call was answered the next am with management coming to take pictures & bring new bedding. We were told this unit slipped past inspection & agreed it was not near acceptable. They refunded $133 cleaning fee out of our $1600 payment for the week. Two cleaners were sent which nodded yes to all our requests but they spoke no English and the hair remained when they were finished, this ruined our 1st night & day on vacation. Long strands of black human hair were also all over the bath floor & shower. I took photos of all this. A couple days later we received a notice our vehicle was going to be towed and that we needed to display a pass. I read this in the paperwork but no pass was in the unit & none of my calls were returned so we wasted more of our vacation time driving to the office the violation came from so they could help email the management company to make sure our vehicle wasnt towed. We later found the pass inside a coupon book in a folder on the counter which was obviously not in a location visible to us. On the morning of our departure we turned on the lights to find 2 thumb sized cockroaches on the steps. I was shocked but managed to get a photo of one before my husband flushed it! We were glad to go home but had to wash EVERYTHING to make sure no bugs came home with us!
Condo has been renovated from top to bottom. Beautiful and convenient to restaurants, shopping, the beach, and the pool is in the back yard. Wonderful experience and will book again!
Would give them a zero if I could. The rental I stayed at by this company and rental company needs some serious help. The rental is DIRTY. The rug is supposed to be white and is brown. The comforter was so dirty I had to clean it. The bedskirts look like they have never been cleaned. The living room furniture was covered in sand. The kitchen is not stocked. No basics like sheet pans or can openers. The pillows on the beds are horrible...stained, old and flat...so bad I had to go buy my own. The master shower curtain was stained and disgusting. We have been to HHI many years and this was the worst rental condition and worst rental company we have had and will never stay at another of their properties.Update: I did hear back from the rental company and they will be sending someone in to inspect and deep clean. They did attempt to make it right for us when I spoke to them which was greatly appreciated. If you have concerns when staying with them, I would recommend calling not emailing.
We had rented another property through VRBO and had a terrible experience upon check in. We canceled and scrambled to find another property. I contacted Island Property Rentals and they allowed a same day check in on sunday evening to a unit they manage. The unit was amazing, clean and spacious. They sent their cleaning crew out on a sunday night to go over the property again and make sure we had linens and necessities. Went way above and beyond! Thank You and A+ company to deal with!
We stayed at 328 Breakers, it was very filthy! Lots of dirt, toenails clippings and dust etc. We were grossed out with the place, great location ...Shamethe place was so dirty. We wont stay there again. They did give us a refund of $99 back, which of spending more than 1300 wasnt much of a gesture. Also, they admitted to having ongoing issues with the several cleaning crews they have been using.
