I sent them a message to inquire about one of their properties I found online. They responded to me stating that they would be happy to rent to us during our requested dates (a Wednesday-Sunday), and to call their office to get the best possible rate. When I called, I was told the home we wanted only rents Sat-Sat. I informed her that I had already received a message from someone at the rental agency stating that we could rent the dates we needed, I was only calling to actually pay and book the unit. She told me that not only could we not get the home the dates we wanted, but my only option was to pay for TWO WEEKS rental since we wanted to stay Wed-Sun, and that would be breaking up 2 of their Sat-Sat weeks. What??! Why on Earth would I pay TWO WEEKS rental to stay for 4 days? Kristen was not understanding at all, especially considering that I had their approval IN WRITING. Super shady, not at all professional. Take your business elsewhere!

This place is the worst. I booked a house on Airbnb and verbo (same house) and they canceled my reservation in both instances saying the price on the sites was wrong, and if I wanted to keep reservations I needed to pay $1000 more. Such scam artist. I get held responsible to my contact when I book on Airbnb and if I don’t go I have to pay the full price, but when they cancel on guest that’s fine???!!! Both Airbnb and Vebo said they are allowed to do that, and there is nothing they can do except flag them or write them an email. Complete joke. How is a guest fault that the price is not correct, and how they don’t honor it is sad. If I could give them 0 stars I would.
We stayed in the Village House.PROS- Quick walk to the beach- Clean rooms- Renovated building interior- Large refrigerator- ElevatorCONS- We stayed Saturday-Saturday and there was major construction beneath us on the week days.- The advertised queen beds were actually double beds. When we called to ask about this the woman said they had never had anyone complain about this before.- Apartment is advertised as sleeping 8 but it was very uncomfortable with two adults in each double bed.- Closest beach is a “locals only” beach so you can walk there but can’t drive over. We had a family member in a cast and this made things very difficult.
We just returned from a trip to Hilton Head where we rented a beach house from Goode Vacation Rental. Throughout our process, the staff was incredible and very helpful.Kristen helped us when we began our search, and even walked the distance for a few of the properties. She stayed in touch with us until we booked the home we rented. She was awesome!Hailey took over when we arrived in Hilton Head. We cant say enough good things about her. She was super helpful when we checked in, and answered any questions that we had.We had the pleasure to meet Sherri while staying in Hilton Head. She was quick to offer any help we needed, and made our vacation worry and stress free.Weve been going to Hilton Head for over 40 years, and Goode Vacation Rentals staff made this visit one of our best visits. Good Vacation and these three special ladies were professional, courteous, and dependable...excellent customer service! Looking forward to renting from them again!

When we arrived at the rental office to get our checkin packet, Nellie was ready with an upgrade due to our original unit having an issue with scaffolding in front of our unit. Nellie was incredibly helpful in getting us a place we would like. And the second place was awesome. There were a few issues that needed to be addressed and we called the Goode office and someone was out to make the necessary repairs very quickly.Our experience with Goode is that they are an amazing company and we will definitely be using them again when a need arises.
This was an awesome vacation in Hilton Head. Goode Vacation Rentals too care of us, our son, his girlfriend and our 2 boston terrier girls. Staying at the Anchorage location was amazing as it was walking/biking distance to everything and we were not on the main path of all the vacationers over the July long weekend. Highly recommend using Goode and the Anchorage condo was well stocked and like home. We had an absolute blast and cant wait to rent again. I traveled to HHI with a group of friends and family. We booked a beautiful home in Sea Pines through Goode Vacation Rentals. The house was updated, in a great location and had more than enough space for all of us. The booking, checking in and checking out process was very easy and convenient. The management staff responded very quickly to any needs that we had. I would definitely book this house through Good Vacation Rentals again!
Nellie offered us amazing customer service. She stayed late on a Friday to help us check in when our travel was compromised on the way to our rental. She was patient, gracious, and went above and beyond for our comfort. I will definitely be looking to them for rentals in the future. Highly recommend.

My wife and I rented the home on 14 sea lane on 8/31/2019 - 9/7/2019. We arrived a little early and asked if we could go ahead and check in. They had finished cleaning the house and we were able to check in early. The home was absolutely beautiful!! It was about a 5 minute walk to the beach which was perfect for my family with a 2 year old son. We spent all evening on Saturday going to the beach and enjoying the pool at the house. on Sunday we went to the light house near by and had some seafood for dinner. That evening we received a message on the app asking us to move in all the furniture outside the house in preparation for Hurricane Dorian coming in. I responded with an e-mail asking if we could get some money back if we brought everything in for them. I got a response later that next morning saying they didnt have time to ask the owner of the house if they would refund us any money for helping them out. I decided that I would not help since they were not willing to help with a hotel cost or anything since it was a Mandatory Evacuation from the Govenor. Later they sent out another mass email saying we MUST bring all the furniture in the house for them which was not in the contract for us to do.My wife and I did not get the rental insurance that was offered the first 48 hours from the time of reservation. We ended up having to evacuate due to the hurricane per the Govenor. Goode sent out a message to everyone on the app saying please be careful on your way home. They never told us we could come back after the evacuation was lifted Sheey from their office said they didnt have to since they gave us a list of weather channels to watch... I have called three times now and asked for some sort of refund and have refused due to them saying that they offered trip insurance. I have read the contract multiple times and I have not seen where a mandatory evacuation was not covered by them. I just called again today and was referred to Sherry again and she didnt want to listen to anything I was saying and I asked her a few times where it started about mandatory evacuation was not covered she continued to argue with me and told me she would forward me to a gentleman name Bryan voicemail which after a few minutes I said fine. She then hung up on me I called back immediately, but she was on the phone. the other lady forward me to Bryans voicemail and I left a message. This will be the second message I left with him. I have screenshots and all the documentation still, but have yet to get any head way with Goode Vacation Rentals.All in all the home was beautiful and everything we wanted, but the service after the fact has been horrible.
Our family stayed in a condo on HHI through Goode Vacation Rentals. Our condo was ocean front which offered a great location to walk to restaurants and to the beach. The condo was clean and had been recently renovated. We had all items necessary to meet our needs during our stay. Goode Vacation Rentals provided excellent customer service throughout the reservation process, check in, and during our vacation.
Goode Vacation Rentals was an absolute pleasure to do business with. Our accommodations at 4408 Windsor Court North, in Palmetto Dunes, were fabulous, perfect location, plenty of room, and the ocean front views were spectacular. We will definitely stay there again, and will use Goode Vacation Rentals again for our future rental needs.

We recently stayed in Port Royal at Crown Reef in Hilton Head and had a great time. The condo was perfect and in great shape and very updated. The staff is very professional as well. We would gladly stay there again and look forward to for many years to come.
We stayed in Palmetto Dunes at a condo in Windsor Place. This was by far the best (and most affordable) place we stayed in Hilton Head. Goode Vacation rentals was easy to work with and the process was seamless! We will definitely use them again!
We called Goode and the lady was very helpful in helping me choose the right spot for our family vacation. We stayed at Mooring Buoy 44 and it was great. Very close to the beach, perfect house for our family at this time. We had no issues whatsoever.
Our family of four had a wonderful experience with our vacation rental in Hilton Head. The home was spacious and well maintained and was a quick walk to the beach. The rental process was seamless and efficient.
This is definitely one of the worst rental companies I have ever dealt with. Many of my swimsuits were left at the house we stayed at for a week. My boyfriend called to see if they had been found, they told him they had and took down his credit card info to ship them to me. Three weeks later, still no swimsuits have shown up. He called back and they told him they did not have them and that they were doing me a favor by even checking on them because it wasnt their responsibility. Everyone dealt with on the second call was exceptionally rude . It would have been one thing if they were never found, but to say they were found then never ship them out is another story. I would never recommend using this company.
We rented from Goode back in 2010 and didn’t have a very good experience, our unit flooded but that was no fault of Goode, they moved us right away. We had not rented again from them in 8 years until this year for Labor Day. We rented last minute so the selection was slim and we were bringing our dog.We arrived Friday to Heritage Villa 2238 and to say it was dirty would be nice. Filthy might have been better description. I understand the people who work in the office at Goode are not the ones who clean the units but maybe it should be company policy to visit the units a couple times a month just to make sure the cleaning folks are doing their jobs. There were dirty dishes in the cabinets, the inside of the refrigerator was very dirty, the coffee pot was so disgusting we would t drink from it. It still had a resovoir of water and possibly mold or mildew growing in it. The walls throughout the condo were gross and definitely in need of a good wipe down or paint. The bathrooms and showers all had hair in them from previous guests. Oh and the dried dead frog on the sliding glass door frame along with the filthy curtains that are probably 25 years old. Also all of the ceiling fans have about 3 inches of dust on them.The condo is definitely in need of some refreshing as far as furniture, paint, curtains and kitchen appointments.The air conditioning also needs some attention, to get it cool upstairs you have to set the downstairs thermostat on 55 and the people downstairs freeze.Goode did offer to send someone out on Saturday to “clean” the unit. I declined the offer as we were already unpacked and settled and our belongings were out, they also offeredTo send someone to look at the air conditioning and I declined that as well as we had our Golden Doodle with us and it was just all very inconvenient.Moral of this review.... vacation rental companies should take more pride in the units they rent, if the rental is not up to standards then don’t offer it until the owner makes it right, spot check your units behind your cleaners. If you are not checking behind them they are probably doing as little as possible.People save all year to come to hHI to have an enjoyable time with friends and family and a nice clean place to stay is imperative.
The house was clean and well maintained . The location was perfect and the rental agency was professional and helpful. By far one of the best reunion/ vacation we had .
So many things went wrong but the biggest was the horrible customer service. Started out with roaches, broken refrigerator, kitchen sink clog that flooded under counter, broken appliances, dirty/worn out furnishings and carpet.... misrepresentations of rental period... I could go on and on... however the biggest issue was with Sherry, it was like dealing with a bad attitude teenager -- instead of listening to our concerns, she talked over me and had absolutely ZERO solutions... Weve been renting big homes for 15 years, mostly in Outer Banks and Emerald Isle.. this is the FIRST experience weve had that went completely ignored. I asked Sunday (day after our arrival and getting NO where with Sherry) to have the owner call me... I requested to her again on Friday.. we are now home (almost a week later) and NO phone call or contact from owner. Sherry lied about contacting us during our stay - we have no calls to the 2 contact number she had on file.. This agency is about getting their $$ - they could care less about the renters... Will never stay with them again... Hard lesson learned !!
My family recently made our first trip to Hilton Head, luckily I stumbled across Goode Vacation Rentals in researching a place to stay. I spoke with Sheri on the phone multiple times...starting with the initial property booking and a few other times with some general follow-up questions. Sheri was very helpful, whenever I called I was able to speak directly with her without having to leave a message.Upon arrival on the island, the check-in process at Goode was very smooth, the office staff was also very friendly. We truly enjoyed the home that we rented, I had anticipated that we might have to call Goode with a question or issue throughout our vacation but that wasnt the case, everything went very smooth. The house was very clean and well stocked with towels and the necessities.Something else that was very helpful...shortly after I booked our rental, Goode emailed us an app to download that gave alot information on our rental home and also suggestions for things to do and places to go on the island. We also received discounts at various restaraunts, stores, health clubs, etc. because we were staying at a Goode vacation rental.Overall it was a great experience and I would definetly recommend Goode Vacation Rentals to anyone thats considering visiting Hilton Head!
We checked in @ 4 pm sat., were very happy with the place as it was the one we picked. On Sunday we noticed the plumbing was bad. The bathroom on the ground floor completely flooded and one of the upstairs toilets would not flush. We then called goode vacations 24/7/365 emergency line and were told they didnt work sunday night.[so much for the 24/7/365 claim] They gave us the option of moving somewhere else or they would fix it first thing in the morning. Having just unpacked everything and filled the refrig, we said we could make it work for a night. They came early, pumped out the sewer line, cleaned the sewage out of the garage and the bath downstairs. We were satisfied, things happen. Then on tues. same thing happened. We called at 10 pm and were offered another place, we took it to get on with our vacation. So, we packed up the kids and everything and moved because the house smelled like sewage.it took till after midnight to get moved. We were downgraded to a house which accomodates 10 instead of 12, had one less bedroom, one less living space, smaller backyard, further from the beach and not ocean view. We got on with our vacation, stuff happens[this is their explanation]. I was not going to write this but when we asked if there would be any compensation the owner Brian Goode acted as if it were all our fault. We tried to work with them and stay the first night, and in taking the downgrade. But he said we should have moved the 1st time, and that we took a smaller place. we would have had to wait in that stinking condo till who knows when for them to find another place comparable. He did offer us a 100.00 gift certificate to an eating place which we would have to go to lunch and spend somme of our last hours doing, not to mention 100 dollars wouldnt have paid for all 12 of us. we had an amazing time in hilton head, but if you go, I think you need to go with a company that makes things fair to the good paying customers, not one who says stuff happens and doesnt take any responsibility for what is their fault.Michael Tuttle columbus ohio
One of the worse customer services I have ever experienced on vacation. My family and I have rented here for multiple years and have have pretty good experiences. This year was not the case. We arrived on Sunday to a dated home with worn furniture, dirty carpet, and a refigerator that barley works. After unloading the car and settling my family, I called the rental service with a list of issues we needed addressed. The ice maker, a shower and toilet that did not work, and the golf cart was not working. We were told that they would get someone out to the house to make the repair at 9:00 am the next morning. At 12:00 no one had come so I called again. I was told they it was someone elses problem because it was a third party. Late in the afternoon someone finally showed up and removed the toilet, closed the bathroom door and said he would be back. After a few hours of smelling sewage the repairman finally showed up and fixed the bathroom. The technician for the ice maker flipped the switch around and left, so that was never fixed. The golf car became my biggest agrovation for the week. A tech showed up, looked at the cart and left. I then received a call telling me that I had not cared the cart, and not to worry due to people calling with this issue all the time not knowing what they were doing. So being treated by the rental company as if I were stupid, I thanked the lady and took my family to the beach. As I returned from the beach, the cart died, so I had to push my family and the cart back to the house. I called the rental company and told them the issue. Lady seemed to be upset and told me again that I did not know how to plug up a golf cart. Explained that the charger was not working and requested a replacement. Tech was scheduled to come at 9:00, and showed after lunch, looked, and confirmed it was charger, but did not have one. So he left. After he did not return, I called the rental company again, who explained to me that this was not there problem. After calling all week, the rental company let me know I would have a rental cart deliver by 6:00 pm on Friday and my checkout would be Saturday morning. When I explained that I was not satisfied with their service, I was told that I needed to understand that this stuff just happens. My advise to future renters looking to visit Hilton Head is dont let it happen to you. We will be using a different service in the future, because apparently once your money is in their hands, your satisfaction is no longer their problem.To add to this, I am currently planning my family vacation for this year and after looking around the isand I decided that I wanted to stay in the area that my family was comfortable with so I decided to use Goode rental again hoping that it would return to the level of service we had received in the years past. I looked at the rental units available and chose a unit the appeared to be updated and was closer to the beach so a cart would not be a factor for this years trip. I received the confirmation as you can see in the owners responsee to my prior post. What he failed to mention is the fact that I received a call at work today letting me know that they wold not honor my reservation unless I removed my prior post of my prior trip, so I guess He was not looking forward to showing me their great customer service he wrote about but I nor the other reviewers on this site have experienced. So to that request I say this, please cancel my reservation you refuse to honor and thank you for letting me know that this was a mistake to hope for better service from a company that apparently does not value that trait.
