The group classes are amazing, The facilities are great. GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY
Nice sports club, so much to do, Swim/Gym/Play
We have a membership here and it is definitely worth it. They recently changed ownership from Sport & Health to Worldgate Athletic club and Spa. They have a basketball court, ping pong table, spinning room, track, tennis courts, weight lifting area, racquetball/badminton courts, kids area, baby area, large pool, treadmill area, etc. Their restrooms recently got a beautiful bamboo renovation last year and are cleaned frequently throughout the day. There are 3 family restrooms as well.
We are thinking to become members, this use to be Sport and Health. Its a great sized club and one of the few places that have indoor tennis courts and racket ball. We use to be members of sport and health and lifetime as well, but lifetime lacks tennis and racket ball.
The renovation was worth the wait!!! Now under new management a/o feb 2021. The new tile locker rooms, updated new tile shower rooms, family changing room! And more to come. Great H2O fit classes too.
The gym in itself is nicely located with diverse amenities and a great range of equipment. The only downside to this place is their staff, especially the trainers, their membership process, and some uncivilized members.Leave alone greeting each other., at their worst, these trainers are quick to find faults in you when you are not enrolled as their clients.Try canceling your membership, and you know you will know more about their membership process. If that wasnt enough, you have hopeless members walking nude all around the lockers and spas. It may be suitable for someone looking for a special meetup!
I love this beautiful, large faculty. Attentive staff, and great classes. I have a great trainer as well.
Great space but everything in there is outdated. Has some great potential
I just sat on the phone, ring after ring for 25 minutes attempting to reach someone about a membership. After reading these reviews and especially the replies from whoever is replying (EXTREMELY unprofessional in some cases) I will not be joining this club. Sad, As I just moved to the area and was looking for a good place to go.
Historically we have had problems with the kids not being allowed to most of the club because it seems there were always adult only hours on the basketball court, swimming pool, etc. More recently (8/2020) we have encountered SIGNIFICANT problems with the staff going WAY overboard on restrictions. While I addressed these with management, I would strongly urge anyone looking for a health club to compare others as if I had to do it over again, I would never have selected this club.Update 9/28/2020: Based on their reply to my review, I am now compelled to provide additional details. To your point that you are following all Virginia guidelines for businesses to operate in the current environment - actually, NO you are not.Specifically I had an incident where I came up after a workout on Saturday 8/15/2020 at 10:45am when I was walking out - my face was dripping with sweat and my mask slid off the ear loop. As I walked down the EMPTY corridor towards the door from the locker room, not a person in sight anywhere, I stretched my face mask so it would not fall off again, repositioned it on my left ear then reconnected it to my right but I missed and it popped off into my hand. I immediately lifted it back up and put it on again. I then heard someone (a female) from behind the back portion of the counter (not at the counter, but behind the wall) telling me to put my mask back on. I replied that I was trying, but nobody was anywhere around - dismissing her comment as I continued to comply. At this point my mask was on properly and STILL there was noone around - not within 6 feet, not within 20 feet - nobody in sight. BUT, then a guy came running around the corner from his desk in the back (he was hidden from view) to initiate an argument about how important it was to have the mask on. As he yelled at me, and advanced to my position (I had stopped) he verbally assaulted me yelling at me about how important it was to have my mask on. While I conceded that my mask had fallen off, I pointed out that I immediately put it back on AND that there was nobody else around. As (Richard I think it was) continued to get louder, yelling at me - HIS mask came below his nose, then below his mouth - as he closed to bring his face within 6 from my face as he continued his verbal assault on me - yelling at me, without having his mask on at all. I told him that - about his mask isnt even on - and he smiled defiantly saying his mask was fine. No, I argued, it isnt even covering your mouth - and he continued to argue that his mask was fine and how he watched me come down the hallway with my mask off (which was inaccurate, as my mask had only fallen off and was replaced a few seconds later). He continued to yell at me, his mask below his chin - his nose and mouth fully exposed as I could feel his spittle hitting my face as he yelled. Finally I pulled up my phone to take a picture of his mask, and he immediately pulled his mask up. I asked him why he changed his mask position if it truly was fine. He continued to say his mask was on properly - although his actions indicated in fact it was not. Finally I gave up and walked away, knowing this was a useless debate. So NO, Worldgate does NOT follow Department of Health regulations - at least not for their employees. The members appear to be complying just fine. I did get a follow up from the Manager Emery - and while I believe he was only given a small part of the situation/story when he called me - I gave him the rest of the information and we dismissed the incident. Only the professionalism and politeness of Emery - stopped me from filing a complaint with the Virginia Department of Health - asking them to shut down the club completely. So you should thank Emery for his efforts.I am 100% convinced that if there was a camera on the incident, this employee would have been fired on the spot for intolerably acts towards a customer and for violating the very mask law he was citing.
Hi, I’m just trying to reach out through here because my emails have not been answered, I want to make sure my request has been met. I’ve been trying to get in contact through email with Mr. Rocky!EDIT : Mr. Rocky was able to contact me and took control of the situation right away!Highly recommend him if you have any questions!Thank you!
Went to Worldgate when it was Sport and Health, have tried to get answers regarding membership and services from the new management group and have received no response. Disappointing because Worldgate is a great space but I will stick with longer drives to Sport and Health instead of joining this new club.
Great equipment, awful people (especially at the front desk and membership). INCREDIBLY rude people that are abrasive at every turn. Only recently did I become the target but I guess it was inevitable given how many times Ive seen them mistreat other members.Instructors are outstanding for the classes so dont confuse them with the awful people up front. Manager is great too, but he is in a tough position as the people he has working for him are an unlimited liability.Equipment is good even though they lock down half of it to be out of use, but that is really them just doing what they need to in order to stay open. All in all there are a **LOT** of other health clubs around that are a lot better choices for lower $. Id avoid this one like the plague.
Great facilities
Great place to get a workout over here as they have a huge range of equipment to get it done. Would recommend to anyone I know.
Very nice gym. A little outdated compared to other One Life gyms which are supposed to be lower tier gyms than Sport&Health. They are doing a great job keeping the gym & facilities clean with the current pandemic
No 15kg barbells. Not sure what thats about? Beautiful gym other than that!
My husband and I recently joined this gym and we love it! Great equipment, many options for classes, the pool and sauna are great! Also, worked with Sarah the personal trainer, who has been extremely helpful and accommodating to the specifics of what I was trying to improve on and my health. I would highly recommend her as a personal trainer! :)
Nice gym! Good equipment! Just ruined by people in member services. Extremely rude response if you try to cancel the membership. Youre gonna have to call in, put in a written request to cancel and it will only be processed after a month so that they can charge you for an extra month and also they need two days to respond to an email.
Pros: Great gym. Excellent facilities. Clean. Has everything you can use in one roof. Helpful staff. Great kids club. Good pool.Cons: Treadmills are slightly old. Evening Yoga classes / options need to be improved a lot.I had dual membership with Sport and health and another nearby gym (for better group classes). So if yoga is an important consideration for your workout, Sport and health is NOT the best option. There are other gyms offering 2 yoga classes with different styles every evening. If yoga (or other evening classes options) is not important for you this is a fine gym to go to.
I have been working with Maria for a few weeks now and I have seen tremendous results. She has helped me become stronger and more confident in my workouts. I would highly recommend Maria to everyone. She is patient, kind, and never makes me feel bad when I forget exercises that she has taught me previously. The front desk staff always greets me with a smile and I feel very welcome every time I come into the club. Overall, wonderful staff and it has been a great experience!
Decent facilities with a wide selection of equipment. Poor customer service. Dont expect this company to reward long-term loyalty to the brand.Weve been members here for over 10 years and have been routinely pleased with the gym and the local staff. However, their customer service at the corporate level has proven to been inflexible and apparently focused on income over customer experience. In the decade weve been here theres been one significant upgrade to the facility (which was well done). That said, the locker room and shower facility is woeful in appearance and upkeep. Its not the grossest shower Ive been in, but Ive showered in some gross places (so thats not saying a lot). What really lets this brand down is the customer service. Weve literally raised a child here (the childcare facilities are excellent!) and stayed loyal Sport and Health customers for many years. However, you should take note of some fine print prior to ending your contract with this company. The contract obligates the customer to provide a 35 day notice prior to terminating your contract. We missed that window by 6 days (mistakenly thinking a month notice was sufficient). As a result, were paying an extra month of membership dues. When we asked for a waiver (or even a reduction in the dues), we were met with a polite but firm reference to our contract. While we concede that Sport and Health/Onelife is accurate in its adherence to its contract, we wouldve appreciated a little flexibility. Alas, maintaining customer loyalty doesnt seem to be at the core of their business model. And, as a result, when we return to the area well be looking for a new gym.----Thanks for the response from Sport&Health, however, there doesnt seem to be any substantive effort to remedy my concerns. I have reached out to your corporate customer service point of contact repeatedly, as I mentioned in my above comments. Please advise if you are actually going to address my complaint.----UPDATE: As a courtesy they are not charging me for the extra month. Although grateful for the courtesy, Im disappointed at the billing practice and the amount of effort it took to get adequate customer service.
Ive been a member for three years. I really love this gym! Its huge, so even when they are busy, there is room for everyone. I had personal training for a while and it was very reasonably priced and totally helpful! Im NOT a gym person, but I feel like I fit here. I have a 1-year old and leave him in the Daycare while I work out, and they do such a great job! Really sweet caregivers and lots of space to play!Highly recommend!
Dont attempt to cancel better yet dont attempt to renew as onsite management will make it difficult. Their corporate team has an efficient response system but on the local level customer, service is non-existent.
The Explosive Performance classes with Eduardo Ramirez are great workouts. It is challenging and never boring. I love the way he keeps innovating our workouts and tailors them to our goals. Hes a big reason why I can still play competitive basketball. After a few weeks in his class, you fill find yourself with a higher energy level at work and at home. I would recommend the class to a novice trying to get into shape, or someone who has been working out for a few years and wants to challenge themselves.
Dont join! Save your money!Because all they care about is your money and not your satisfaction.I joined this club for October month (they it was free but i was still charged 50$ as maintenance fee)so that was not a problem at all. I went to 3 classes the whole October. Before joining the club I mentioned them that I would be leaving on November as i am attending job interviews and they said that is fine and I wouldn’t be billed as long as i am 25miles away from the location. Now i got a job in South Carolina and emailed them with the offer letter asking them to cancel my membership for November month they replied that I would be charged for November month which was clearly bad.So I called the customer service thinking they might have not understood my request. The customer service representative was really rude and didn’t evening pay attention to what i was saying and said i would be charged for the November month.I understand it is their policy but what I don’t understand is why did they say I wouldn’t be charged for November??!I am not getting my money for free to sponsor them for a month that i am not even in town!I am very dissatisfied and disappointed with them and i wish i never joined them.I encourage people to invest in some fair fitness centers who stick to their words.
Great place, lots of amenities and equipment to use. (pool, sauna) Oh, and they offer free towels. Thanks to Robert Shannon, for giving me good deals to sign up!
I have been working at Sport and Health Worldgate as a trainer for about two months now and have had an exceptional experience thus far. The staff welcomed me with open arms and has been more than willing to help me with any and all questions that I have. The fitness director, Lauren, is an absolute delight who works her butt off to ensure that all members and employees have the best experience possible. I came over to Sport and Health from another gym and have not regretted that decision in the least. Great gym, great people.
I just enrolled with Worldgate Sport & health last week! My experiences so far have been beyond what I expected. The facilities are great and always clean. The staff members are very friendly and responsive when you seek assistance! The Store manager Emery is very nice and helpful. General speaking, this facility is well managed and he has been great thus far and has helped motivate me to get back into peak physical condition. I look forward to using this facility quite a bit in the long run.
Love the ambiance
I’ve been going there for at least 15 years, I love that gym the staff is professional, management and trainers are top notch. The entire gym has been recently renovated, it’s a great location easy parking and it’s the only facility in the region that EMS training ( electric muscles stimulations)
Worldgate sport&health has served my family for almost 10 years. The front desk staff is always courteous and friendly. The multi level facility and locker rooms are spacious and beautiful! The locker rooms are one of my favorite things about Worldgate sport&health, they are amazing! The entire place is kept pleasantly clean. They are always striving to improve their space and what is offered for their clients.Worldgate sport&healths hours are flexible and they offer a variety of classes and workouts with knowledgeable instructors. Check their schedules and see what interests you! The facility has everything you could need to work out on your own or in a group. My family enjoys the environment and has found that Worldgate sport&health is the best gym in the community. Check them out if you havent!
I’ve been a member for about a year, this was my first gym membership so I had no idea how much I would actually go, cost/value, etc. a year later, I’m happy to report that I’ve been going around 4 times a week. A huge part of the success I’ve had here is the TNT group fitness program, and the racquetball courts. I’ve had a lot of fun making friends in TNT, as well as working on my fitness goals. All of the staff are very friendly and encouraging, which was awesome for a first-timer like me. I definitely recommend coming in for a tour of the gym at the very least, and hopefully you’ll get a glimpse of what has kept me coming back.
Great gym and amazing staff !!
I love everything about this gym. The staff always greeds me by my name. They are all very friendly and always interested to listen to what the customer has to say.The cleaners are always making sure the gym is clean. Trainers always available to work with you. Management is friendly and they are always making sure everything runs well and smoothly. This is a great place for you.
Quite possibly one of the worst places to deal with ever. Andy in corporate is extremely difficult to work with and very unprofessional. I had all of my documents to cancel the membership I never used due to work and health complications and they still charged me for 2 more months. This place is the Anti-Christ. Recommend another gym in the area as the desk people are just as rude. BEWARE!
I have interned/worked here for about 3 months. As with all of the other Sport and Health clubs I have been to, this club is amazing. I have been in the fitness industry for over 2 years now and think this club has the best trainers by far. All of the trainers have great attitudes towards all club members. They truly put the experience of each every member first and foremost. I would gladly suggest this club to anyone that needs a gym.
I had a great experience with Emery and his helpful staff today. They really worked with me and did everything they could to make me feel good about become a member. Dan was also extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about his product and services. I went to Gold and the people there were friendly but not a knowledgeable. Sport and health is a little more then golds but I think the quality and value out ways the expense honestly not a huge price difference.
The instructors are extremely knowledgeable, highly motivated, and awesome people to be around. Ive never been in a gym with a better vibe.very good place to go with family to work out.. we love this Sport and Health . Very Clean & Nice.
There is so much equipment, you never have to wait for a treadmill. The place is huge inside, with 3 stories. I feel very comfortable here.
So very excited about this facility. My cousin and I walked into the herndon sport and health facility. As a new year resolution we wanted to get back to working out and get fit. We were assigned Sean Donovan to discuss about the membership and our goals. After listening to our goals, Sean recommended is the best membership plans and we both were excited and jumped right on it and purchased the membership. Sean was awesome in providing us the tour of the facility and giving us the holiday savings. We both are excited to start our fitness goals from the new year.
Ive been attending gyms all my life, and let me start off by saying that this is the first gym that really forced itself in my fitness life, but in the best way possible! My trainer Bethany was absolutely amazing!! Keep up the great work guys
Ive worked at this club for nearly three years, and it has truly been a second home to me. There is a great community of members and the staff genuinely care about their experience in the club. The most rewarding part of my job has been the many meaningful connections I’ve formed with members and coworkers alike. This is a great club and I would encourage everyone to come visit!
Just a horrible gym. Dirty locker rooms and gym equipment. Overpriced and rude customer service. They dont respond to my emails and does not let you cancel your membership even if you move! You have to sign a 1 year contract just to go here and the greedy jerks wont let you break the contract for any reason at all
I am the Explosive Performance Site Director here at Worldgate Sport & Health. Ive had the opportunity to work with some of the best athletes in the area at this club. Weve had pro athletes, All-Met and All-State athletes in multiple sports come through this facility and make huge improvements and reach incredible goals. I invite you to do the same!As the EP director at this club, I oversee all programming including sport specific training, club and HS team training, and individual athlete and adult programs. We spend a lot of time and energy educating our performance coaches by the best performance educators in the world. Protection of theI invite anyone athlete, team, and coach to try us out and compare us to the best in the area!
I visited Worldgate Sport & Health as a guest over Easter weekend and was very impressed with the facility and staff. Upon arrival, the staff made me feel welcome and answered all questions that I had about the fitness machines. Lauren was very helpful making sure that I was performing the exercises properly. The fitness center has everything you could possibly want to make your experience enjoyable. Next time I pass through the area, I will be sure to stop by again for a workout.
Worldgate S&H is a truly amazing facility with some of the most friendly staff around. The TNT program, lead by Tyler Parise is my favorite. Hes a great coach, always upbeat, and makes the workout fun and different everyday. Ive been going religiously for a year now and am down almost 50 pounds and I owe it all to Tyler! The people in class have become my second family and Im truly grateful for the relationships Ive made at S&H and the support of the training staff around me. Debbie is another one of my favorites - always around to help me when I have questions and always willing to show me a few exercises to work on!
The facility is big and you can join many classes which is really good. The thing that I really dont like is showers cleanness ness. The walls and even floors are full of dark spots and need to be deeply clean. Sometimes I see stuffs in pools water as well. I hope you pay attention more and consider that we expect you to take care of what is more important to your members.update: unfortunately from the time I wrote that review nothing has improved there. shower walls are full of peoples hair and dark spot and thats really disgusting. Its been more than a week that hot tub isnt working. Last night some people used some strange oil in dry sauna and left it on woods and floor and it was really stinky and the whole place in women pool and sauna was super smelly! I have some friends there whom have the same problems. Well if you want to keep your customers, you need to make a big move.
I dont know where to start. Ive belong to Sport and Health for over 15 years and have been taking their new version of TNT since June of 2016. At first I was a little leary of the new technique(s), but after 6 months I started seeing some results. Primarily due to their instructor, Tyler. Tyler is something else. I love his spirit and his resolve. He really and truly wants his customers to have fun, get and see results and enjoy coming to class. His memory is uncanny and his dedication to his job of presenting TNT in a professional, fun and results environment goes without saying. I trust Tyler to get the job done and to continue to provide his customers (me) with the best workout ever. So far Ive lost 11lbs and 6 inches overall. Now if we can just define: TNT. Pamela V. Williams
I have been an Assistant Fitness Director at Worldgate Sport and Health for over a year and have absolutely loved the experience. I am constantly overwhelmed with the superior mentorship that I receive on a constant basis, as well as the amazing trainers, instructors, and members that I am surrounded by. I would encourage anyone who hasnt visited the club to do so. Every month we have Open House days where all non-members can test drive our programs. Hope to see you soon!
I have been an employee at Worldgate Sport & Health for almost three years and it has been terrific. We have an amazing, friendly and helpful staff in all areas of the club. Come experience it for yourself. Definitely recommend my friends and family to become a member at this club.
This gym is great. Its a pretty large gym with a lot of equipment and an indoor track. I attended Eduardos Explosive Performance adult class the other day for the first time, and I found it very welcoming and challenging. It was a great workout, and I plan to go back.
I have visited this club several times now and every time it is clean, welcoming, and friendly. This past visit I witnessed a member spill his drink all over the floor. Within 5 seconds a wet floor sign was placed over the puddle and within 3 minutes the mess was cleaned up by staff. This is a small thing, but says a lot. Well run facility, and great service.
I was a member. As another reviewer mentioned, there is a problem of men streaking in the mens spa area. Its rude and vulgar to walk around the hot tub, sauna, and steam room with your junk hanging out in the mens locker room. There should be a policy that requires members to wear shorts in the hot tub and at least wrap yourself in a towel in the sauna and steam room. Its disgusting especially when I bring my young kids in there to go to the pool and have to see disgusting sites. I had to stop taking my kids in there.I would recommend locker room, toilets, showers, etc be cleaned more than twice per day. They get scummy and disgusting between scheduled cleanings. There are people who are gross and dont take care of their hygiene, therefore, it would be sanitary to clean more frequently. I would recommend one or two people be stationed in there and/or rotate and their job is to keep the locker rooms, spa area, toilets, and showers spotless. That would take your customer service and satisfaction to a new level in my opinion and resolve a lot of complaints. The pool is cold compared to other lap pools in the area Ive tried and the temperature could be tweaked up a few degrees. Gym equipment was adequate although difficult to get a squat rack most of the time. Staff were mostly pleasant, location is good, and parking is good.I would consider returning myself and family if the spa areas, cleanliness, locker rooms, and pool were improved as described above.
Been all over the country. You will not find a better club. The cleanliness is immaculate. You cant beat the staff. Ivette and Mikael are almost like family. They are always smiling and helpful.
Freaking awesome! I came to town for a couple days due to work. I spoke with Rocky and he set me up with a killer deal so I could workout while I was here. Super clean, modern, tons of top notch equipment, with a bunch of offerings. Tennis, martial arts, Pilates, Crossfit, Indoor track, pool, basketball. They really offer everything. Tons of equipment, I never waited on anything even during peak hours. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back when I’m in town. My only complaint is they don’t have a South FL location!
I have been working at Worldgate Sport and Health for 3 months, and it has been a fantastic experience. The staff and members are so welcoming, I immediately felt at home. If you are looking to surround yourself with individuals who are passionate about their jobs and care about your success, this gym is the place for you!
I have been a trainer at Worldgate Sport&Health for several years and I can truly say I love my job! I work with many extremely qualified and energetic trainers, and I believe we make a huge difference in the health and well-being of the membership of the club. I personally have many clients that I have been seeing for years, and several have said that the main reason they stay at Worldgate is the quality and friendliness of the staff. It is my pleasure to come to work each day!
I love going to Sport and Health! Its a great environment, clean and welcoming. The staff always has a smile on their face and they are very helpful and polite. It is hard to go to the gym early in the morning but I never regret it - the front desk staff is always chipper and helps start my day off right!
My experience as a Worldgate Sport & Health employee (Personal Trainer) has been terrific. We have an excellent, friendly and helpful staff in all areas of the club. Come experience it for yourself and be sure to take advantage of the very knowledgeable staff of Personal Trainers to assist you in improving your quality of life! ;)
Family joined in summer 2016, and couldnt be happier with ALL they offer. The variety of classes for adults and kids/teens are amazing! ALL of the EP/Personal trainers are friendly, personable, really listen to you by guiding and cheering you on! Facility is always clean, clean towels stocked always, and smiles on all the staff members (and members) you run into! Its a wonderful family friendly environment, that we plan to be a part of for many years.
Ive been a member for over a year, and have found the facilities to be clean, and the staff positive and helpful. I joined because I can swim laps starting at 5 a.m., followed by a few minutes in the jacuzzi, then a hot shower with shampoo and soap they provide, followed by drying off with towels and blow dryer they provide. They offer a variety of free classes--Ive enjoyed the high-energy Zumba class. I recommend Worldgate Sport & Health.
Our family has been a member of Worldgate Sports&Health for 15 years. We love it. It is the best place to provide us work-life balance. Especially the staff, who work in the weekend have excellent customer service skills and great personal training experiences.
I am relatively new to Pilates currently doing reformer and mat. I love Tracey and Miho. Their attention to safety, correct form and modifications are superb.
If youd like to have fun with the friends, you should definitely come here.
I absolutely LOVE this health club. My favorite aspect is the indoor track, Treadmills are nice but sometimes it just doesnt beat actually putting your feet to pavement when its not nice enough outside.
It is a great place to work and chill out. Includes activities from Yoga to Swimming to Basketball. I had a great time practicing my swimming skills in large swimming pool.
I have been a member of Sport and Health since 2000. I have found the club to be clean, and the equipment to be available when I need it. While they have many customers I rarely find it too crowded or having to wait for access to equipment. They have a full line of cardio equipment, free and machine weights. The management is responsive, and I have found the trainers to be helpful for not only myself in my personal fitness goals, but for my daughter as well, who they have helped excel in high school athletics through both one on one training and in the group classes. The clientele is pleasant and polite. The facilities for kids are great and have provided me with the peace of mind to work out while my kids have been attended to. All and all it continues to provide a good return on investment.
Went online to obtain a free workout pass for my family to try out the gym. After registering for the coupon, the website stated we would receive the pass via email and it never arrived. I called the club a couple of times and got put on hold for long periods and no one ever answered. Ive thought about going to this club on a couple of different occasions in the past and the timing wasnt quite right. I had a day off from work and wanted to finally have the opportunity to go. Based on this first impression, I have experienced poor customer service, and after looking at the other reviews, I wonder if its even worth my time. We will be looking elsewhere. I am not and will not beg any gym for a tour, to take my phone calls, or provide quality customer service. If you are going to advertise free passes for potential customers to try out your gym, you should at honor what you advertise on your website.
It great place, but I wish the locker room and the steam room will be more cleaner. Great place for the family. One request, Please provide more singes for the rules and etiquette on how to use the locker room and make sure that the members are aware of it. As parent who have children and the only way to access the pool is through the locker room. I do not want my children to be exposed to unfamiliar seen. Thanks to SoprtandHelath Family
As a long time (over 10 yrs) member, I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the way the TNT program is performed. The instructor Chris has absolutely no regard for the other members of the gym who are not part of the TNT program. Although it is an open gym, Chris reserves the busiest portion of the workout floor as well as the most used / desirable treadmills between the hours of 6a and 9a (there is a complete row of treadmills that are rarely used that Chris could easily utilize without bothering anyone else on the floor). It is very clear why S&H is losing clients to other health clubs - complete disregard of customer service by the workers like Chris.
Definitely the best gym in the area!!. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The gym is always clean and overall it creates a great atmosphere to work out. Their music is awesome too!!.
I’m so sorry this facility spent “over 5 million dollars “ in 2007, and got so little. 10 years are showing! Very poor physical plant. Gross, actually. Changing rooms are aged, and bathing facilities are not very inviting. I was interested in joining. Facilities are the major deterrent. Crowded, not fresh at all, nothing exceptional here. Training is expensive, all desired services are extra, and they want members to pay $50 per year for “maintenance “! I was prepared to join. I was totally turned off.
I love this club! It has everything you could possibly need. My daughter loves the Kids club area and their staff and is always begging to go to the gym! Wonderful classes and tons of cardio!
Nice facility with towel service and free workout classes. Instructors are great and it has racquetball tennis basket ball as well. Membership price is good as well.
I have been an employee at Worldgate Sport and Health since June 2016 and my experience has been wonderful. I have been and worked at many Sport and Healths now and I can say the staff from top to bottom are some of the best Ive worked with. Our GM Emory is always asking how everything is going with my TNT program and asking if I need anything else. He is always available at the club and works very hard to keep not only the staff but most importantly the members at the club satisfied. He is without a doubt a member first GM and always tries to provide the best experience for his members. The front desk staff, membership team, personal trainers, and the rest of the staff are all very welcoming and friendly. As far as weights and cardio equipment the gym provides everything you need and more. There are various machines that you wont find at most gyms as well as swimming pools and saunas. While including the staff and the amenities at Worldgate Sport and health I can confidently say it is the most well rounded gym in the area.
Ive been a member at Sport&Health since 1999. I now call Worldgate my second home. Its the gym I want to go to because I feel at home. The instructors and trainers are the best and make you work harder than you think you ever can. Theyve helped me reach my running and fitness goals but make me keep reaching for more. We are all family. After the expansion a few years back you never have to wait for equipment. There are a lot of options for kids too that get them moving (summer camps, classes, etc) Occasional exercises and avid athletes can find their groove here. We use the gym, take spin classes, swim, and do Explosive performance. Cant get enough.
Amazing staff and awesome facility. Always clean and tons of equipment. Worth every penny.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Membership rates are reasonable. Child care facilities are clean, friendly and caring workers with plenty of toys to keep the kids entertained.
Sports and Health Herndon is amazing ! I love the front desk staff who is always so friendly and professional. Emery Bishop is such a wonderful manager and always eager to help his members. The ambiance is always refreshing and clean. I definitely recommend my friends and family to become a member at this gym.
Huge facility with amazing amenities. Not much else you could hope for in a gym. If youre looking for an instructor ask for Erin. Shes a part time comedian and full time boss - you wont regret it!
Does exactly what I need it for, plenty of weights, cardio machines and locker room. Wish I didnt have to bring in my own lock but thats not a deal breaker. Been a happy member for about 3 years now. The renovations were also a great upgrade!
I joined Sport & Health, Worldgate, in April 2016 and signed up for a Personal Trainer to help me slim down, tone up, gain strength and flexibility. After an initial assessment, the Director recommended Oscar Miranda and the two of us worked together twice a week. Oscar customized our workout sessions and accommodated my demanding work schedule and, over the next twelve months, I met my initial goals and dropped 30 pounds. Oscar and I continued to work together for another year and after he left Sport & Health, Eduardo Ramirez started to work with me. Eduardo challenges and encourages me to accomplish more than I ever thought possible and Im proud to say that I can deadlift 105 pounds, hold planks, nail push-ups, squats and walk 4 - 5 miles a day. Not bad for 65! Everyone at Sport & Health is friendly, welcoming and helpful and its more like a family than a gym.
I love Worldgate Sport & Health. I especially love the awesome sense of community there. The classes are great, and I love the tennis courts and pool. Great gym with great people.
I have been an employee at Worldgate Sport&Health for over 22 years. There are many reasons why I am proud to work there (and why I have been there for so long)...the group exercise classes are awesome, there are a tremendous number of amenities, and the Kids Klub is outstanding. The same people who took care of my kids 15 years ago are still there today. It makes me so happy that the people that I entrusted to take care of my children when they were young are still connected to and care about our family. I highly value the fact that my colleagues are at the top of their fields and are very committed to taking care of our members.
The staff at Worldgate are the best. Thanks for the everything you do to keep the facilities looking good and clean. Always a pleasure to go anytime.
ThanksBy Barry | June 0, 2014This is the least I can do. The World gate S&H staff has continually helped me to “keep coming back” just one workout at a time. Today during my workout I was trying to figure out a way to give back to the club that helped me understand that seeing my health improve is more important that my typical “short on time” or “short on money” excuse. Several years ago I participated in Personal Training because I felt uncomfortable working out alone. The experience still has an effect on my routine, confidence, and how I utilize the whole club today (I love variety). This is well deserved by the staff. I recommend the S&H Club Staff at World gate. Thanks guys.
Used to be a great place. Still has a good arrangement of equipment and courts, but the place is filthy, the pool is just nasty, and there is a lack of weight room and locker room etiquette. They claim to be open untill 11pm, but start shutting things down at 10:30. It is inexpensive though.
Good place and not busy too much.Recommend everyone who is interested in serious bodybuilding.Just wondering if they add little more equipment like chest fly, standing calf raise and T-bar row strip. That would be amazing.
I recommend not to join this sport and health club.. iam requesting to cancel membership since June, whenever i do call to # they provide all time they say next month and next moth and they did charged me till Nov 2nd, still they charging me. To avoid this issue i did reported as my linked credit card as lost card and getting new credit card. Please save money this people only look for money. Will say something when joining and after did joined they never respond properly. Waste of give 1 star too for review.
Everyone in the gym are very positive with a common goal - great atmosphere to train! Recommended!!!
The entire staff is amazing and always welcomed me with a big smile. One of the things I loved the most when I was a member was the spinning class! Melanie was an excellent spinning instructor and her energy and music playlist would always get me in the mude to sweat and burn those extra calories from the weekend.I highly recommend to at least get a free pass for one day! I bet you will wanna join after that. 💪🏼
Have been active at Sport&Health for about 4 months now. The most entertaining part is the Zumba session by various instructors especially Hector. He is an awesome instructor who knows how to keep you dancing on your toes. Wish he has more classes.
Just wanted review the Kidz Club baby room. Ms. Martha is the constant welcoming smile to our kiddos. She learns their name, how to keep them happy and makes you feel comfortable as the parent. I trusted Ms. Martha for years with my babies!
Worldgate Sport & Health is a top-notch club with an extensive selection of cardio, weight training and other amenities. I like the openness and spacing of the equipment. I have never felt crowded even when working out in the busiest of times. I have spent more than a year in personal training with Sarah Pride. Sarah created a program of stretching/mobility, cardio and strength training that has helped me lose fat, build muscle and work through the aches and pains of old injuries in the process. Sarah goes the extra mile by researching new and creative exercises to keep the workouts interesting and relevant to the fitness goals.
My family and I have been members of the club since 1996. It was a great place for the kids growing up as they loved the swimming pool. They took swim lessons and had fun at the kids activity nights. My husband and I use the club regularly. I have been working with Tracey, the Mind/Body Director for at least 10 years. She is an awesome Pilates instructor. The studio is well equipped and well maintained. I highly recommend that you check out the Pilates studio. You will be impressed with the the equipment and the caliber of instructors.
I work front desk at worldgate and I have truely enjoyed the atmosphere of the gym. Both the members and the staff has been amazing. Everyone is in good spirits and extremely helpful. Please come see me at the front desk and I would love to continue the tradition of great customer service.
This place is awesome! It has everything you need to meet your fitness goals and a great Management team!
