This is a classic down to earth barbershop. Good barbers and it kind of reminds you of a rendition *Barbershop 3! Ive had my haircut by Shaun for 10yrs. Kevin and all the barbers are reputable. I knew this was the right place as soon as I walked in. I was greeted and welcomed by everyone there.A little backstory, my cousins have been coming here for years to get their fades. I myself have been cutting my hair for the longest time with a self cut system, an Andis T outliner and Andis masters clippers with the fade blade attachment. I have saved a pretty penny over 10 years, but recently I have let my hair grow out and it can be pretty tough to maintain and fade by myself, so I called my cousin and asked him do you know any good places for a fade around here, He said yeah Unique Reflections call and speak to Kevin, tell him Carlos sent you.I did exactly that and I am so glad that I did, I went to a couple local places but they were not good at all, but they tried. This place takes me back to the city, awesome smell goods, witty bantar on popular topics that everyone can chime in on, there was even people their not getting cuts, just visiting.Kevin and his team of Big Phil and Monty, sorry if I forget anyone, use the most quality hardware, Im talking the gold Babyliss clippers and pro FX trimmers, I didnt know they come with a tool that lets you zero gap them?? They produce the best fades in my opinion. I attached some pics, I was going for The South of France or Burst Fade or the Usher cut. Kevin nailed it. I received so many compliments, I will definitely be back. lol More importantly I over heard many times the beautiful words of our lord and savior Jesus Christ being spoken and that was the cherry on top of this Haircut sundae. Everyone has got talent and skills to cut hair their so its ok if your regular guy or gal is booked. So the next time you look in the mirror and are bleh about what you see, stop through and give yourself a unique reflection.

Been following Kevin jones and going to this barber shop since I was 5 years old, now 24 I have seen the shop grow and develop into a great shop. It’s a very clean and positive environment. Kevin always gets the cut just right, and customizes it just to your liking !With great prices and awesome customer service with “the cut” app, I highly recommend this shop

The barbershop side is on point. The owner Kevin is very polite and I’ve been going here for a few years now for haircuts. Big Phil cuts my hair and I like him a lot so much to the point that I would rather give him my business even though I’ve grown my hair out and often get twists and/or cornrows. Unfortunately, I probably won’t be going back. The salon side is pretty terrible. And that’s being nice... Crooked parts, lopsided braids, etc. You would think that such simple hairstyles would be easy and completed in a timely manner. I repeat, the barber side is great. Unfortunately, the hair salon side is trash. I’ve given them multiple chances. I’m done. Lol. I’ll start to take my business elsewhere and it’s awful that Big Phil loses clientele because the salon side can’t pull their weight.

What a wonderful experience, from Kevin the Barber! My hair is quite thin from my hypothyroid condition. After wearing wigs for the longest, I decided to give going natural a try. I could not be happier! Everyone says I look so nice. Kevin did an amazing job. He worked with what I had and I feel beautiful.

New to Reston and looking for a reliable barbershop. The seated me on time, but but that was about the best of my experience. Primarily, the the cut didn’t resemble the picture I gave him. Also, I didn’t realize how uneven my hair was until I got home. Lastly I had to ask the barber to put his mask on.

Okay I did not want to be rude.. but whoever cuts my husbands hair does a terrible job. His fade will be nice but when it comes to cutting his curls as they get long they always chop off more than he asks. Upset wife, you cut way too much yesterday and he’s curls are nonexistent till his hair grows. He will be looking for a new barber.

Mr. Phil or I think Big Phil is an excellent Barber!!! That is the short review. However just to share Im a very detailed person! Im a nurse so details and customer service mean a lot to me! 1. We I went in I got in the chair immediately. 2. When I showed him what I wanted, there was no complaints or issues about what I was requesting even though I worked my hair which created some scarring and certain areas of my hair is very thin. FYI. You would never know it with the way he cut my hair!. The details on my hair is so on POINT even my son said where you go for that! He took his time and to be honest it looks better then the picture!I will definitely be going back on a regular for my cuts which is good because I thought I was going to have to travel back to Woodbridge, where I lived before Covid-19! Thank you Phil, again job well done! See you in a few week!If I had any negative comments..... it would be the TV selection. With all the negativity going on in the world I hate watching or hearing the news, but that had nothing to do with my cut or service!!!

Cathy and the team are great, the ambience is welcoming and professional, they know what they are doing unlike other shops, when you’re there you’re like family it seems. I’m a 90’s hip hop fan so when I’m there the atmosphere feels like home, barbers, small talk, jokes, posted picture frames of hip hop artist, rap jams and all. If you haven’t been to unique reflections barbershop you missing out, their prices could be a bit cheaper because they are a bit steep, however the cuts are on point. Keep up the the great work guys!!!!!’

Kevin is an amazing barber and has been cutting my hair for over 10 years. All the barbers are fun and friendly. And they know how to get your hair just the way you want it!

To start off, the staff members were polite. However,let me tell you about how bad of an experience this was. I’m new to the area and wanted to try a new barber so I wouldn’t have to travel hours to see my old one. I went to this shop due to raving reviews on Google and even on Yelp. This was a mistake to say the least. I asked for a simple fade, don’t touch the top and don’t line up the front. None of my requests were followed. The Barber ended up taking off plenty off of the top with his little scissor trick. I asked him where the patch of hair came from and he just said “I’m just shaping you up man, trust me.” So I continue sitting there for a long hour and a half and to end it off he starts rounding off my hairline in the front. He then says, “Ahh man, I definitely forgot that you said you didn’t want the front lined up. I’m going to fix it bro.” I don’t think anyone sitting in a barber’s chair wants to hear “let me fix it.” Anyway, at the end I am shown the mirror. Instead of me getting a fade, he gave me a high and tight. Completely shaped my head like a Sesame Street character, cut the top of my hair down to about a three, the left side was higher than the right side, didn’t blend in the attempt at a fade, the sides of my head were completely bald, hairline was pushed back, and more. Now I don’t even want to say like I’m really harping but this was a thirty two dollar haircut. There are no single blades to make the line sharper or anything. Then to top it all off, they don’t take card. They have options like cash app and venmo. I didn’t create a commotion even though I should have. I grew my hair out for months just for all of the hard work to hone my curls to be thrown out in just one hair cut. This was my worst experience at a barber ever. So bad that I had to shave my head bald and wear a hat everywhere. I would not recommend and I really wish that I could get my money back. This haircut was so bad that I went to another barber in Sterling and paid for a haircut again. So since the owner and my barber wanted me to leave a review so badly. Here’s your review man. I wish I could’ve given you a zero. This 4.9 was probably given by the church community. I hope you enjoyed my tip but you will never receive my service again. I wish you peace and serenity.

I have been going to Unique Reflections for a year and I am soooo grateful for this barbershop. Everyone has amazing vibes especially my barber, Big Phil. Big Phil is humorous, kind and an extremely skilled barber. I moved to the Reston area a year ago and was nervous with finding a new barber and Big Phil was aware of my anxiety. But when I displayed my nerves unknowingly, he put my worries to rest with his jokes and warm disarming demeanor. And when he finished my first cut, i felt like the most stylist women (aka baddest b*^ch) in Reston. Big Phil has been my barber ever since! Also, a side note, the barbershop environment of Unique Reflections feels like you are coming to a summertime family reunion where everyone is vibing, enjoying music or cracking jokes on fellow barbers. Basically, I look forward to coming to Unique Reflections to get my hair cut. Its an all around great experience. Make sure you ask for Big Phil! He’s my favorite!!!!

My line was nonexistent until requested and then it was not the best. Maybe because it was my first time. Barber was really helpful and nice though. Seemed like a good environment. Nice atmosphere. Needed a haircut during my lunch hour. Contacted the shop around 10:30am and was able to set an 11:30am appointment. Kevin was very personable over the phone and throughout my haircut. The vibe is relaxed and family friendly. Being a woman it can be intimidating at times to enter a new barbershop but the gentlemen at Unique Reflections were very hospitable. I will definitely return. I wear a bald head so not much to comment about that (cant mess it up) but the warm towel and touch up after were great. Be mindful of posted signs when parking.
