Dr Fu has a very caring personality, she explains all treatments . I had second degree burns on my face and neck and she was very nurturing at this terrible time. We have been coming there for years in spite of the long drive. We asked for an appointment with Dr. Bettencourt or Adam, both of whom we had seen before. They said they were booked and asked us if we would see Dr Fu. We said fine. Imagine our surprise and outrage when checking out they wanted $93.00 for freezing some forehead spots on my husband because Dr. Fu didn’t carry the same insurance. No one told us she doesn’t have the same insurance coverage as Dr Bettencourt and they work in the same office. We were very upset and really felt we were taken for a ride. I feel it was unforgivable and charging that much for a copay for a few sprays from a can is ridiculous. Never again.

Been coming here for years. Extremely disappointed in no telemedicine visits ! No refills on a simple acne medication we been using for 5 years because it has been over 6 months since our last visit ! My husband is extremely high risk! And the office said no exception we must see the Doctor for a refill ! I will definitely be looking for a new dermatologist!! And when we walked in the staff was extremely rude! I think it was the person I was speaking to about getting the refill exception due to COVID because my husband is extremely high risk! I think they need to understand this virus can kill the vulnerable especially some who has just finished treating stage 4 cancer!!! So disappointed!

I was referred by my GP to Dr Bettencourt. The office staff is great and very friendly, professional and helpful. Dr Bettencourt is a no nonsense to the point Dr. She is thorough and patient with me. I had skin cancer and have since continued to see them and now my wife does also. She has warmed up but still very direct and feel she has my best interest covered. I would recommend them. Never have we had to wait more than 15 minutes and even has worked me in when I called with an issue. Great place for me

The efficiency of the Office is amazing! There are no long waiting periods, and you see your doctor in a reasonable time period. Dr. Bettencourt is very efficient, easy to understand, and truly makes me comfortable. Her Nurses are well trained & completely seem to want to not only assist the doctor, but to make her patients knowledgeable. Great all around visit...a complete make-over from about a year & half ago. Hats off to Dr.Bettencourt & to her Staff.

Quick appointments, professional and listen to concerns

Front office staff was welcoming and friendly. Dr B was thorough, detailed, took the time to explain what she was doing, what I should do, and the typical types of sun damage to the skin. I really liked everything about her and the visit! Definitely a keeper and someone I would refer to others.

Should be 5 star but the office lost my official record of being there last year for an office visit with Brittney. I not sure if that means all and any record exist of past visits or just last year. I have been a patient for many years starting at the old wigwam office.In any event, I had a annual total body exam with Adam who was very knowledgeable and professional. I hope to see him again next year

First appointment and did new patient forms, and was still done and on my way in about a half hour. Admin, support staff and Dr. Bettencort were all very nice and attentive. My only comment regarding improvement is that, while I appreciate using a computer tablet to enter all my new patient info, I wish the software for that task was better (it was not very user friendly when I wanted to change inputs or do edits).

On time and focused and concerned staff

The front office is always friendly and efficient when I arrive. The nurses always get me back fairly quickly. I have rarely waited in the lobby more then 10 minutes. Adam is great. Always friendly and helpful and going above and beyond to help with any problems you have.

This was my first visit and I was impressed with everything...the staff at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful; the nurse who came in and took my information was very professional and seemed to really be concerned and listened to my skin issues. The doctor was exceptionally pleasant, professional, and attentive. She checked my entire body from head to toe and reassured me that everything is fine. Her diagnosis was right on and Im still using the product she recommended for my bruising.

The office takes all the necessary steps in this time of pandemic to keep everyone--staff and patients safe. As much as possible in this time the visit was efficient and actually pleasurable.

Excellent office and doctor. This is the first time I had been there. I was an hour late for my appt because I was unfamiliar with Henderson, so I drove around trying to find the place. I called for directions and was given very poor instructions. Turns out, for future patients, it is on Coronado, SOUTH of Eastern, not across from Trader Joes.

Everyone in the office, from Dorothy at the Check In / Check Out desk to Dr. Bettencourt is helpful, professional and friendly. I have had several questionable skin spots removed including a precancerous lesion and a squamous cell carcinoma. Dr. Bettencourt and staff have carefully explained each situation and procedure, ensuring my understanding as well as my comfort.Bettencourt Skin Center is highly recommended.

Next day appointment with worsening skin condition. Quick diagnosis and treatment. Returned week later, condition changed. Saw PA who again quickly made list of differential diagnosis, prescribed new treatment. I had nice progress over the weekend. Returned for follow up appointment Monday and I was so relived and grateful.

I am not giving a review of the business as a whole, just Dr, Bettencourt....Did a hatchet job on my nose, treated me like a piece of meat and seemed only to car how many patients she could see, all about the $$$. I mentioned my experience to a friend and he asked if it was Bettencourt, he had a similar issue. I was getting my hair cut and talking to the girl that cuts my hair and she saw the scar and I told her the story and there was a man getting his hair cut that I never knew and he asked, It wasnt done by Bettencourt was it? I was surprised as I never mentioned her name and he said he walked out of the meat market due to similar issues. Your choice, I am just telling you my experience.

Dr. Bettencourt was great - spent a lot of time with me and helped me with my minor skin issues - or at least they became minor after my visit! She is first class and so is her staff.

I was reluctant to visit Dr Bettancourt because of Covid 19. I found stringent distancing and sanitizing in place. Dr Bettancourt was her usual pleasant and efficient self.

Biranna and Dorothy: Fantastic at check-in/out. Oscar: Great as first team member visited with. Evaluation: Not that pleased. Sat in cold room waiting for 40 minutes in only underwear for a less than 10 minute, Visual Only Eyeball Evaluation by the Doctor which I feel should have been a little more thorough.

We were seen very quickly, the office was clean and the MD was very kind and welcoming. Staff extremely friendly. I would have given 5 stars however, the oral antibiotic prescribed for moderate acne was $1300 for a 30-day supply. I was shocked when I went to pick it up from the pharmacy. Now, I need to take extra time to call the office and obtain an alternate antibiotic, head back to the pharmacy, etc. Being in the medical field myself, I would expect the physician be somewhat aware of the price point for what is prescribed. It is quite unreasonable for any patient to pay that amount of money for a medication taken for a prolonged period of time. Would have appreciated something reasonably priced, yet effective at the initial visit.

Dr, Jason Zommick in an excellent doctor, who is very pleasant and takes care of patients. He also has an excellent staff working with him, very professional and warm people. I never have to wait, once I arrive to my appointments they call me at the scheduled time. I feel very lucky to have a such of excellent Urologist!

Dr. Bettencourt is a great dermatologist. She knows her stuff. She is very attentive to my concerns and her recommendations are spot on. You might have to wait a bit, but she is well worth the wait. In addition, her staff is caring and most helpful.

I took an appointment with Dr. Fu during regarding my wifes skin rashes due to Henderson weather conditions. Since we were new to this place, i just went with the name and considering very senior doctor. During our first visit itself she recommended to undergo skin pathology (They gave anesthesia before cutting the skin sample wherever applicable and made stitches) which would not be really required. Again, there is no crazy things found in the skin pathology test except paying additional patient amount of $150+ out of my pocket apart from my insurance. Finally simple medicine which she has written working after applying several weeks. Basically, my intention is to say is - do not ask patients to go for skin pathology unless it is highly required to cut the skin and stitches. Thank god there was no rashes on cheeks. Hope your team understand my concern.

Always on time appointments and thorough examinations. I had an unscheduled visit for an unseen problem and had no problems being seen by Dr. Bettencourt. She inspected my problem area and prescribed a cream and scheduled a follow-up in two weeks. Dr. Bettencourt is very efficient and effective and is truly concerned about the health of her patients. The staff is always friendly and professional each visit.

While I was originally annoyed that no one contacted me to say my provider had left, and that my appointment had been cancelled, I was given a new appointment for the same day as I planned. (Good thing I checked before driving.) When I arrived, the people at the front desk were very nice and very professional, and Dr. Jan Fu was pleasant and very thorough her examination. I did set up a routine appointment with her for next year, and I certainly would recommend Dr. Fu to someone searching for a dermatologist.

Ive been seeing Dr. Bettencourt for 10 years. I believe shes a great clinician. But -- and this cant be stressed enough -- she almost always runs very late in seeing patients. The typical wait time is 30-60 minutes. This is really frustrating because my time is tightly scheduled and requires me to juggle other appointments. Ive mentioned this to her and her staff on numerous occasions. But so far, late remains late.

Doctor is very good and so are the nurses, the staff is also very nice, BUT, the referral department is very very bad, once I showed up and they said they did not have the referral and refused to see me even after calling me to schedule the appt the day before. The next appt they said they did not have the referral again and they could not see me, luckily I learned from the first time and took the referral with me.

Adam is knowledgable, with a welcoming bedside manner. Doesnt alarm you, and seems as if he genuinely enjoys his job.

The only positive here is almost no wait time to see a doctor. An appointment was easy to come by. Once in the exam room, I was seen almost immediately. The rest … is a total disaster. I saw Dr. Fu. Albeit very friendly, she is well beyond her “prime.” She appears rather “laissez-faire” doing a full body check, quickly glancing over the skin, her dermatoscope idling on the desk. Her approach to a melanocytic lesion is drastically different from that of my previous dermatologists; basically she suggests to shave-biopsy them (which leaves scars). I left confused as to what exactly I needed to do and when. It’s possible, that the other physician in the practice is better. But I am not willing to try …
