Jerry Taylor is by far THE BEST barber I have ever had. I walk in looking like a scrub and walk out looking like a stud EVERY SINGLE TIME (directly after leaving a stranger rolled down her window and told me I had a commercial grade haircut) Jerry is incredibly skilled and takes his time to give you an excellent haircut. Some people will rush you in and out of the chair while he gives you a tailor fit experience. Do yourself and everyone else looking at you a favor and book an appointment with Jerry.

Ali is great. Our 2 1/2 year old is scared of getting his hair cut but Ali makes him feel comfortable and is always super nice. We are pleased with how he treats him and how he cuts his hair. We went for a 3rd time and our son didnt want his hair cut. We offered to pay for our appointment but Ali didnt want us to pay for a haircut he didnt do. Even though we offered to pay, thats the kind of service you can expect at this establishment. Great people all around.

Best place to get the best haircuts! Highly recommend it. Get an appointment because is most of the time full, but the appointment will be on time! Abdullah in my opinion is one of the best there.

Hands down the worst haircut Ive ever had in Harrisonburg. Ive been here before with success. This time was a nightmare. A total hack job. The Barber was aggressive, cut me in a few places, rammed clippers into my ears several times, cut my beard and sideburns without asking even though I booked a haircut only online and didnt want these areas touched, didnt take me back to wash my hair which is a service I enjoy, everything is uneven up top as he quickly ran scissors through the top one time and never checked to see if anything was off or sticking up (which there is plenty of that going on), taper is horrible and looks like I could have done better in the bathroom mirror. Looks like I have a freaking helmet on my head. He kept my back to the mirror the entire time so I had no idea what was going on. Very disappointed and not the professional standard Id expected from Omars. 9/6/21

VERY CLEAN operation! Both Lupe & Omar were great and Im happy with my overall cut & undercut art. Omar was kind enough to step in on the fly to do the art. While they had plenty of folks in & out, the atmosphere was relaxing, calm, and quiet. Will definitely return & recommend.

The services is awesome, place is great and they have great hair stylist, my only concern is that I saw couple of the barbers finishing with their clients and did not sanitized their tools ; we’re in pandemic, there’s a new variant, the owner should try to educate his staff to sanitized all tools when they finished with a client is very important …

Only some people are good but some people are not supposed to be there. I have school on Tuesday and I went to go cut my hair and I asked for the sides to be short and just a little off the top. He went to far into the top and the front is not even. This was so bad and will never return.

The staff were very nice and so casual but professional at the same time! The atmosphere was very relaxed and I love the inside. They practice social distancing and have a very professional attitude and the staff member that I got knew exactly what she was doing despite me only saying a few words to her and showing one reference photo. Its a place primarily for men, and it shows just a tiny bit in the vibes of the store, which isnt a bad thing at all! I like the decor! All in all, my cut is wonderful regardless and I loved the experience! Thank you!

Im not sure who cut my sons hair, but he did a great job. My son (2 years old) hates when we cut his hair. But he allowed the stylist to cut his hair and the stylist was super patient and understanding with him. We will definitely be back.

I have took my oldest John Kohl here several times before never making an appointment. Today, I walk in with all three of the boys @ 5:20. We stood at the receptionist desk for a few minutes while watching some workers sitting on their cell phones. Few minutes later a lady came up front asking if she could help. I replied that I would like to get all three boys hair cuts. She informed me that they were closing and didn’t take walk-ins past 5pm. Clearly when you are open until 6pm and you have workers sitting around with no clients I, myself would think that you would want the clientele since you have plenty of time left before closing. No problem. We left and went to Wisam and got all three boys hair cuts in and out before 6pm even with a small wait. Before today, I had never had any bad experience at Omar’s and would of recommended it to anyone with 5 stars.

We have always loved Omars! I love how they always take their time with each client. This was my boyfriend Mitchells first time at a barbershop since he was a young child. We were walk ins. Omar’s is top of the line! The BEST place to go for lash extensions or hair needs. Not only is Anusha amazing but their entire staff is incredibly talented and super friendly. Their facility is absolutely beautiful! Highly recommend for anyone who wants a five-star treatment!

While on vacation at Massanutten ski resort I scheduled an appointment for my son to get his hair cut on Christmas Eve. The reviews I read said this place was the best. I did not know what to expect and boy was I blown away. This Salon & Barbershop is so nice and awesome. I couldn’t believe how big it was and how nice it was. The prices were great too! The staff was friendly.Edwin did a great job with my son’s hair and he was so patient with him. Definitely would come back again if I’m in the area.

This barbershop is the best!!!! They have cut my sons hair from his very first hair cut a year ago. They do an amazing job with making him feel comfortable and at ease while giving him an awsome hair cut every time. The whole staff is very welcoming and very polite.

David Morales gives the best haircut I’ve ever had. I can understand why he is booked most times. While I’ve had a few others cut my hair with mixed results, if you want it done right see David. Not only very professional but gives tremendous attention to detail.

Omars service is fantastic and th. Weather they are cutting kids hair or adults they take their time and make sure the cut looks clean and the way you want.

Not a good spot for kids cuts. I called ahead and was told to come on in and was the first customer at the shop. Then I waited 40 minutes with two toddlers. When it was finally our turn, I told the gentleman it was my sons first cut, and we wanted to maintain his length and curls, simply even out his stringy pieces. He cut my son’s hair for four minutes, used the electric trimmer, and cut off all of his curls! And they don’t offer a certificate, lock of hair, talk with the child, or anything to acknowledge the experience. Then they charged $15 + tip for the exact opposite of what I asked for.

I’ve been getting my haircut here for years now as a JMU student, Omar’s has such a cool atmosphere inside. Ask for Jasiel, he has cut my hair since 2019 and I refuse to go to anyone else. He gives the best fade in harrisonburg, no doubt.

Called ahead of time, explained it was my first time. Was told walk-ins are welcomed. Waited close to an hour and no one approached me to even provide me with an estimated time of when I’d be assisted. Barbers slow and sloppy joking around and neglecting new customers. Left without even given an apology, no doubt; won’t be a regular customer and worst first impression. Utterly disappointing!

Waleed did a fantastic job with my first cut at Omars! The quality was absolutely great, and I could tell all of the barbers were pretty spot on form what I could see. Professional, clean, and my wife loved!

I got my hair done by Val and she was amazing. The service and atmosphere are exceptional, its a real salon experience.

I made an appointment online for two children haircuts one at 6pm and one at 7pm. They fit both of them in at 6 once we got there, which was really nice. One of my kids has been cut somewhere else and is really anxious, they were great with him. My youngest was so relaxed when getting his haircut he was falling asleep. My kids are even asking to go back again soon. We will be back Sam and Taylor did a great job!

Ask for ERIC!!! The first time I went in I told him I was previously going to wisemas before he messed my hair up so bad that I had to start looking for a new place. He looked at my hair and he was like.... I see and that was about 2 weeks of letting it grow. I told him what I wanted and when he finished I was super excited. My hair still wasnt long enough but I knew that it would be perfect in my next session. So here I am today, just got my hair cut and man does it feel good to have a perfect hair cut. Erics phenomenal with the clippers. Trust me Ive found my new Barber and I highly recommend him!

Omar’s is always the place to go when you need a haircut. They are inclusive and friendly. I received a haircut by Ali, he was professional and he listens to what you want.

Mediocre/acceptable haircuts. Fair pricing. Now, Im sure you have all heard barbers say something along the lines of we will start it at this length and you can always go shorter a million times. The last time I was in I was getting a cut from the gentleman in the back left chair. Nothing remotely complicated; it was simply a buzz cut with the sides slightly shorter than the top. This gentleman rushed through the bulk of the cut in about 15 minutes (no big deal) but when I noticed him start to make the finishing touches, I could tell the cut wasnt turning out the way I wanted it to. The blending was haphazardly done so I asked if he could take the top a little lower (to counteract his poor work). His response was that he would have to charge me for the price of another haircut...I kid you not. I was probably in his seat for 25 minutes at this point. I wasnt sure what that was about so asked him to at least fix his dodgy work. He sort of did. When your motto is we fix cheap haircuts it is not a good look to give a low quality haircut and say it will cost the price of 2 to fix it to the customers liking. Not going back.

Im updating my previous negative review of Omars. Last time we did not make an appointment and waited 45 minutes before finally leaving due to obnoxious customers. This time I was smart and made an appointment. They were gracious and allowed my 9 year old son and I to sit next to each other. We both got stylish cuts and were treated well. There is no other barbershop in Harrisonburg that will pamper you like this one. They take their time and do it right... keep this in mind because it is not a quick in-and-out cut. Even my son commented that they do a much better job here than other local shops. Well go back!

Excellent staff, they’re all experts in their field, excellent new location. 10/5, only place I’ll get my hair cut in the burg, been to some other places and got my head chopped foul. This is the best place in Harrisonburg to get your hair cut, hands down (at least for a barber - I cannot attest to a female hair cut as I dont have experience). Omar runs a VERY clean, up to date shop. He only hires people who truly care about what they do, and it shows in the quality of work that is done there. All of the stylists are masters of their craft, and I always recommend people to this place.

By far the best barber shop in Valley. If they have clients driving 2-3 hours just to come get a good cut, you know they are the real deal. Their skill, knowledge with trending styles and welcoming atmosphere is always the highlight of my day. We are so lucky to have such talented barbers in town. Coming from a family of very uptight fashionable men, i know what a good cut is. I can definitely recommend people to Omars and know they wont be disappointed.

Use to love this place, but they rush through the cut and dont listen to what you want. The haircuts have been really good or really bad, its unpredictable what will happen. They need to slow down, take their time, and become more organized. Because of this, I have found somewhere else to go.

This was my first visit to Omar’s. I had heard excellent comments so went to check it out. I set up an appointment online but still had to wait 15 minutes when I arrived. I got a “decent” haircut but am not overly impressed. She didn’t style it just washed and blow dried it. Not worth the drive or wait (even though I had an appointment).

They did amazing Mohmand cut my 15 month old sons hair today into a fade the lines are perfect the fade looks amazing and personally I have never seen a 1 year olds haircut look that amazing he was patient quick and friendly as was all the staff they even distracted my 2 year old who was upset that her brother was getting a hair cut we will definitely be back my husband also got his head shaved and beard shaped and Edwin did amazing work on him as well all the staff is friendly and knowledgeable would recommend them to anyone of any age for a amazing cut!

Not a good experience. I walked in at 2:35PM on a Sunday and was refused service. One employee was sitting in her chair playing on her phone. Another Employee was mopping. The sign on the front day states they close at 3PM on Sundays but that is a lie. Evidently they had something better to do then cut hair.....I am never going there again

Didnt have an appointment so had to wait a while but stylist I got was very good and took great care of me. This was my first trip ever to a barbershop. They do not have a ton of wait space so we had to wait out in the cold on the benches in front of the shop for a little while but it wasnt too bad. I would certainly go back if in the area.

If you can find the right barber (and there a lot to choose from), this place is totally worth the $20 it costs to get a haircut. I always go here when I need a fresh cut before a special weekend or something out of the ordinary.

Though the haircuts are great the service is no where close to being on point. You pretty much NEED an appointment otherwise you will be sitting there on there walk-ins bench for a couple of hours while you watch the barbers take 45 minute breaks. I moved to the area and loved my haircut here but I dont have all day to wait. If anything go to Sports Clips across the street for a better/cheaper haircut that is done faster and with a lot better customer service!

Experienced barbers who take their craft seriously. I always get a good haircut here and they put in the time and effort to make it as good as it literally can be. The price ($20) is just a little more than you pay at a budget place for a rushed haircut.The downside is this place is too popular. Never under any circumstances come in as a walk-in. If there are even 2 people ahead of you that might mean waiting an HOUR or more. Its absurd. Just make an appointment. It makes no sense for this place to take walk-ins so do yourself a favor. All the staff are totally competent so it doesnt matter who you make your appt with, just make one.

I highly recommend Omar and his staff! It is so refreshing to experience outstanding customer service and to be treated like you are the most important customer in the salon. The owner, Omar Alsamraay, and his amazing staff take their profession seriously and it shows with the service, cleanliness, and efficiency of the operation. Omar is also involved in giving back to very worthy causes. This is the type of local business that our community should support!

My son was terrified to get his hair cut but has had two tearless cuts in a row at Omars. Everyone there seems really friendly and patient but Guadalupe has been especially wonderful with my son.
