Underrated city activity. Jazz night is chill. Appreciated the city/river history tour as well. A little under an hour. Cash bar is part of cruise. Great place to spend an evening or afternoon in Harrisburg.
Awesome experience. Went for the Saturday morning class ride. Instructors were great and taught children of all ages including me. Would definitely go again. Parking was confusing, they do have a lot behind the stadium.
I was disappointed when we drove almost 2 hours for the early morning cruise to e told we needed reservations. The later cruises are less than an hour but still awesome. Everyone from the ticket lady to the crew were all very nice. Would definitely do again. Still want to make that morning cruise.
Very attractive, inside and out! Nostalgic, historical! Upper deck is very pleasant. One of only 5-6 working paddle boats in the country.
They changed our time because they double booked but said they would give us extra time. Then they kept saying they couldnt leave because of possible storms but the weather Channel was not calling for bad weather. Made us come back early as well. Seemed a ploy to not give us the full time.
We participated in the lovely 45 min tour. They have a mini cafe inside for cold drinks and snacks. They normally serve beer and wine but the person who was authorized to sell those was out that day. You can sit indoors or outdoors. It is a cute experience for little kids finding the animals around the water etc., but it might be slightly boring for adults. It was very hard to understand the recording that was played part of the tour. They played nice music ;)
We really enjoyed the ride, my four year old granddaughter loved it.
Really enjoyed the scenic ride. Had forgotten how relaxing the ride on the riverboat is.
Went on our 1st Wedding Anniversary trip. Great time. Do it!
Ok ride on the river with recorded narration for less than 1/2 the trip.Would have been better if more history was provided and buildings / landmarks were identified, perhaps by a real person.
ONE OF THE LAST PADDLEBOATS IN THE USA.Amazing service! Shout out to Linda, Bill, Joe, and everyone else that makes the experience more than special.
Vacationing in gettysburg and saw this online...decided to take our granddaughter...we all had a good time...pricing was fabulous...talked to the captain and she gave us alot of interesting facts...only about an hour from gettysburg...if your near there you should go
Not very exciting, travels up river for 30 minutes and 15 minutes back. They do have an interesting talk that plays during part of the ride. The flags on the side of the boat are distracting from the view and the interior is dated. Luckily it was a nice day and we could enjoy the weather from the bow and the top deck by the stern.
Very nice evening. Only thing I would change is taking the cruise at 10-11. Being docked for 2 hours was a bit boring.
It s a nice ride .very nice crew
We had a nice trip. It was our first time on the Pride. Unfortunately the weather didnt cooperate and our trip was postponed twice. We took the all the crabs you can eatcruise. We end up going in October instead of July as originally scheduled because of rain. So it was dark by the time we were eating the crabs. It was close quarters in there since nobody could go on the deck to eat. Not the fault of the Pride but we certainly only would have enjoyed going in the summer more. The crabs were from the Carolinas and we are Marylanders and are picky about having our Maryland crabs! Other than that it was nice.
Educational trip wish they had given more history of the river
Very relaxing trip Especially if you love being on the river
Took the grandchildren for a tour of the Susquehanna River. Very nice.
What a great adventure! 45 minutes cruising up or down the Susquehanna River in Harrisburg! $11 for adults and $9 for seniors. They offer beverages and snacks for a fee.Information is given during the ride about early settlers and Harrisburg and the river. They offer many night specials and weekend events.
Great place to visit and take your kids
Great tour 👌🏻 Family fun!
This is a nice relaxing ride. I wish it was a little longer. Theres a lot of cool history in the cabin space. If you go when its hot, sun screen is essential. If you go when its cooler, wear a sweater. It gets breezy on the deck. I used a Groupon and saved a few bucks. (And you can get alcohol on the boat.)
Fun and informative!👍👍💯
This is a marvelous ride up and down the Susquehanna River unbelievably informative the history was incredible to learn wonderful sightseeing Cruise off of City Island in Harrisburg the staff is unbelievably friendly informative the boat is clean well cared for very comfortable theyre very good about their social distancing and sanitizing I highly recommend an afternoon on the river with these people it was a great way to spend my birthday with my wife cant wait to go back
Good time, I formative. Ice cream was a surprise
Wonderful evening cruise
We went on a night they had music, which was very enjoyable. They staff was very friendly and it was a beautiful night sitting on the river listening to the music.
We took 3 disabled ladies in wheelchairs and everyone was SUPER helpful. Its a great time and a good value
Very nice boat ride, love the live band but food was very undesirable. If they improve on the food I would recommend this tour
Im unsure who the blonde woman is who was driving August 13th 2020, but she is rude and needs to understand she does not own the river and going around an area where boats park all the time to swim will not ruin her pathetic life. I had a boat tour scheduled and Im so glad I was able to see how the staff conducts themselves but I cancelled that and will never use their services
We took our daughter to the Princess Cruise. Staff was excellent along with the actresses Awesome time ! Looks even more beautiful if you are able to relax there at night with a place with great food right there. We plan on a more adult cruise with live music.
We went on the dinner cruise. The ride was smooth and the views were nice. The food was great. However, we were uncomfortable because there was very little space around us as we ate. Once seated, you can not get up to go to the bar or the restroom. If you are a couple, ask for one of the round tables on the side of the dining room. You will probably be comfortable there.
Great experience and best way to enjoy the sights along the Susquehanna River!
Definitely worth your time and money . Boat ride is just over 45 minutes. I’ve been a board 3 times now and will make it a tradition to go every summer !Highly recommend!!
I enjoy going on this boat looking at the beautiful shallow river that stretches across the stunning Harrisburg area, theres air-conditioning in the lower deck with a bar and simple foods for snacking even though the trip only lasts about an hour and a half at most.Youll be glad when you go on this tour.
What a night!!!!!!!! We had a great dinner and watched the fireworks right from the boat. Very impressed with the staff. We go every couple years and the hole family loves it. Cant wait to go again.
A day trip to Harrisburg since we have never been. Listening to the tour provided some interesting facts about the area. The Pride of Susquehanna is the perfect size boat so there were opportunities to interact with the crew. Fantastic people who seem to love what they do. Thank you for a fun ride!
Just got back from the princess cruise. It was amazing!! I highly recommend. They had great stations (craft, nails, jewelry, a book) for the children, very organized, and everyone was super kind. Your child will love it! An added bonus- I enjoyed the boat ride along the river! Great work to all involved!
Nice and informative little cruise, just wish it was a little longer.
A very pleasant ride on this magnificent river boat. Very friendly and professional staff and accommodating in every way. I recommend that anyone that loves paddle wheels and their history take a ride on the Pride of the susquehanna.
This is a nice 45-minute cruise with a recorded narration on the history of the river. Its nothing fancy, but a relaxing trip and enjoyable for any age. There are often Groupons for the ride.
The Pride Of The Susquehanna is a great little riverboat. She has live music, the captain was humorous. It really gives you a beautiful look at the river. She has onboard bathrooms, a bar, and an interior that looks like classic riverboat interiors. She can get a little cramped, but overall she is great.
Nothing like this around. Nice novelty for any age. Had our small wedding reception on the boat, and have been on cruises with our children many times. Always fun!
Had a great experience. Friendly staff. Clean boat.
Nice little excursion. Only about 45 minutes. Wish they had more chairs, we had to stand the whole time. Recorded narration about the history of Harrisburg and the river - would have preferred a live presentation.
Murder mystery dinner cruise was awesome. Great food and a great show. So much fun!
What a wonderful experience! Sponsored by the exquisite Miss Christine, and assisted by Miss Josette; invited Life of Forest Hills neighbors and their families on a marvelous educational cruise! The children experienced hands-on realities of the importance of the Susquehanna, and all it supports; a lifeblood for more than we stop and realize. Everyone learned. Staff is superb (try working some twenty kids, maintaining their attention, and creating fun table-side activities! Respect the river, respect its contributions. Hope for younger generations to understand and cherish. Free cruising for children Saturday mornings!
We did the mystery cruise. costs about $50/per person; which includes dinner and show. As part of the dinner, there was dinner roll, salad, main entre ( I had crab cakes, came will rice and green beans) and desert (strawberry cake). There is a bar available for drinks (hard/soft). As you dine, the paddle boat takes you around the Susquehanna river around Harrisburg downtown. The play itself was so, so and the crew was fantastic and provided really good service. All in all a good evening spent.
Had a great time with the murder mystery cruise! Made my moms birthday even better because this was the first time doing something like this. The food was excellent and we loved that we werent rushed to eat. The staff was very professional and made our night all the more enjoyable!
On a sunny weekend day, be sure to get there early and purchase your boarding pass as the tour fills up quickly. The captain will only allow up to 115 or so to board. It was a great experience for my kids. Its nice to get a drink or two in the galley.
A fun experience for the whole family! We went on the riverboat tour and everyone loved it. If you’re a veteran or in the military, be sure to get the military discount for you and your spouse!
Hard to find. Bad directions. Could hardly hear narration. Only narrated for half the trip. Would not recommend for those with a disability.
Friendly staff, great food, lots of fun. Definitely put this place this place on your to-do list!
A fun time, everyone who visits Harrisburg should make time to take the the trip.
I absolutely love this gem of Harrisburg!! My husband and I have attended two events and were very pleased by the customer service and quality of food!!! Very nice and relaxing atmosphere!!
The ticket person is ignorant and didnt honor my groupons for 3-4people ...lots of money down the drain after driving 2 hours. Bartender totally was Awesome!...loved her❤
Had our wedding on the Pride and absolutely loved it! The staff and crew were really friendly and helpful.
Nice little boat tour
I love this! Were going back for the dinner mystery cruise. Food is fantastic and the servers are very personable and outgoing. The captain is skilled and knowledgeable and wont take the boat out in high winds even if some complain. Safety first, but not everyone appreciates that.4 stars because we werent able to choose our own seats. We were the first ones on line and got there early since we live about an hour away, and there were already some people on the boat when we finally boarded! That didnt seem fair as we were standing out in the cold and wind of mid October.Edited 10/22/17Added a 5th star. Heading home right now from our 3rd cruise. We did the mystery murder cruise several months ago and that was a lot of fun. Tonight we went on another Fall Foliage cruise and the weather was beautiful. About 70 degrees and a light breeze. We got Angela again as our server and she was great! The food wasnt as good as last year, but it was still better than most restaurants in the area. Captain Eric was wonderful. Cant wait for next season!
This is a wonderful place to wined down at, at the end of a busy day. It is such a beautiful view on the river and they offer good drinks and musical entertainment
Fun
It was very relaxing and informing. Would definitely go again.
