A truly enjoyable experience! If you’ve never been to a gentleman’s salon/barber, then this is your chance to kick back and relax.First, the atmosphere: a super fun open concept space that mixes some dark leather chairs with plush textured sofas and Edison bulb lamps, that throw back to a time when houses had a “Study Room” (without being nerdy).There are ten booths for individual hair stylists, five on one side, five on the other with full length wall mirrors and a central check-in desk. There is an upstairs lounge with a big screen TV that provides a quiet, classy “Man Cave” feel and doubles as the waiting area. Drinks are included in cost of appointment and include water, soda, coffee, scotch, beer, and bourbon. I recommend the “Manmosa,” which is orange juice with peach bourbon.And of course, the quality of the haircut. I’ve been to see Thitiya twice now and both times she has given a professional, proficient cut that was exactly what I asked for.And located near Coffee Underground, it’s in the heart of downtown Greenville off Main St.

When my wife and I got there for my 9 am appointment, we were greeted warmly and promptly. Zachariah checked me in and asked about my appointment details. The shave was fantastic! Great experience for getting a haircut. Excellent, precision haircutting with phenomenal service throughout. Quiet shampoo with facial hot towel and scalp massage along with tw drinks of our choice. They even have sleeves in the cape so that you can hold your drink! You could not spend a more relaxed time getting a perfect haircut.

I love this place. Since moving to Greenville back in May 2020 I needed a new place to get the locks cut. I love the cuts I get here. You must schedule a haircut with Jennifer Rollins! Plus I really enjoyed the razor shave! So much so a bunch of the fellas got one the morning of my daughters wedding. Scheduling is easy, it’s always on time and the bourbon while I get my hair cut ain’t bad either. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Rachel Traxler is a beard goddess. She always knows exactly what I want and does a job nothing short of perfection every single time I’ve been there in the past couple years. On top of that the atmosphere is great and everyone is very kind and accommodating.

In all of my years (and that’s a lot of years), this was the most memorable experience I’ve had at a barbershop or salon. Becky was fantastic while she checked me in, and Ashley, my stylist, took great care of me. This was my first time, and will definitely not be my last. Besides a great cut, the shampoo and scalp massage almost put me to sleep - especially with the hot towel on my face! The razor cut on the back of my neck, after drying my hair, was the icing on the cake.Next time I’m going to arrive early and enjoy a Scotch before we get started. They were just voted Best Barber Shop in the Upstate, and it’s well deserved. I’m sure glad I found this place. I’ll never go anywhere else. Thanks again Becky and Ashley!!

A little pricey but a great experience. I’ve been getting my haircut here for 6 years now and every time I thoroughly enjoy my time. The free drinks (coffee, alcohol, soda) is offered to you as you wait in the man cave. Then you get an amazing shampoo and trim ending with a neck massage. Sometimes the massage is short which sucks but occasionally the massage can last a good five minutes. I think it depends on how busy they are. The biggest downside is the price. It’s about $45 for a haircut not including tip. In big cities this may seem like a deal but in Greenville, that’s pretty pricey for a men’s haircut. I think it’s worth it but if the price went up too much more it’d be out of my budget.

Great experience all-around. Easy scheduling, quick service, and all the added touches make getting a haircut an enjoyable experience instead of a hassle. The inside is clean and they seem to take better Covid precautions than most.

Ok so I have to say, I have gone with my husband to his absolutely favorite salon. He is so spoiled in there. Not only does he get his favorite cocktail but is pampered like crazy. The ladies in there are absolutely amazing, beautiful and professional and I just love this place for him. He comes out looking and feeling like a Model every time. Lol Plus they have those amazing Franks Salon whiskey glasses which I ended up getting my husband for Christmas. So 5 stars are not enough here . I would give them 💯💯💯💯💯 Thank you 🙏🏼

I love everything about this place. Melanie (the owner) is a great example of how leadership sets the culture in an environment; she truly leads by example and it shows in each of the individuals she employs. From the time you walk in to the time you leave, staffers attend to your every need: a drink upon check in, a relaxing jaunt in the man cave, a neck rub/massage and my favorite: a hot towel on your face as your hair is being washed. I feel like a real idiot paying 45 dollars for this piece of garbage haircut.I went in asking for a trim, maybe it was my fault for not saying anything as it was happening but you really shouldnt have to worry about being humiliated by the haircut you are given. Im not picky. Ive walked around after having cut my own hair, with my head held high. But this haircut is the worst.The only way to save this is having to cut it all off and start over.Even if I DID want it cut like this, its terrible for even that. The part she carved into my head isnt even straight. The top is way too long. (See picture)I complained that the right side would poof out, I really just wanted it trimmed down so that wouldnt happen, the sides of my head were long... Leaving no indication I wanted it shaved all the way down to my scalp. Well now the top has been left so long all it is, is just a poof... Its like she took what I was complaining about and focused just on that.Dont go near this place.

I was quoted a price while sitting in the chair of $40 for a beard trim and haircut. They did not finish the beer trip because the person cutting my hair is not allowed to use a straight razor to edge in my beard so they did not complete the service and they charged me $60 and told me I had to come back the next day and pay an additional $35 in order to get my cheeks and haircut edged in! So if you want to go somewhere and pay $60 for a haircut and beard trim and pay an extra $20 over the price quote to not get the service rendered this is the place for you. I guess they think giving you a beer makes up for performing the service that is agreed to. Me personally I making sure I can Let everyone know on every social media platform what happened with me here today and the fact that nobody will make it right they told me to call their main office but that they could not help me but they could of course take my money

Ive gone to Franks for about a year now and have loved it from my first visit. I recently had my groomsmen, who all are from out of town, join me on my wedding day to get haircuts and shaves. I was a terrible customer (late, and had to change some appointments when I got there) but all the ladies were so accommodating and understanding. They took amazing care of me and my groomsmen, and gave me such a perfect start to my wedding day. It was a huge hit with the guys, all of which had never experienced anything like it and talked about it all weekend. I highly recommend Franks to anyone I know.

Went for the first time last Saturday. Not a huge fan of getting haircuts because it seems like a gamble...from the start the atmosphere at Frank’s is enjoyable. Personable receptionists check you in and lead you to the “man cave” waiting area, with big leather chairs, TVs. Here you are able to place two complimentary drink orders (water, sodas, booze/spirits - they have it all).My senior stylist Jamey was fantastic. Before even picking up the scissors she introduced herself and walked me through the process while getting an understanding of how to tame the mane. The end product was top notch. Jamey was professional and also provided a fantastic shampoo and massage. I highly suggest setting up an appointment with her.Looking forward to returning back to Frank’s. I am even considering setting up hot shave appointments for the groomsmen the day of my wedding (you can do that too). Consider this - old world barber shop meets new day masculine retreat. With all the great clips and “what # guard do you typically get?” shops these days Frank’s is not going anywhere. Quality people (shout out Jamey!) and quality product.

Randomly wandered in here on a whim one day and have been rebooking now for over a year. There’s literally not a single thing I could complain about. Jamey is great, detailed oriented and on point every time. Drinks and man cave are a bonus but the service would be well worth the price even without that. Free Clean ups too so you’ll always be fresh between cuts.

I first went to Franks because I heard it was a nice place with a good atmosphere where I could have a whiskey while having my hair cut. I wasnt disappointed, but the reason I still go there two years later is Jamey Duncan. Shes an artist. If you dont think barber-ing is an art form then you havent seen this woman work. Do yourself a favor and go see her...yes now...go!

This was my second trip to Franks and Im a bit disappointed this time around. Brought a friend in so we could both get a traditional shave. Sadly, there were a lot of missed spots resulting in a need to re shave when I got home. Not what you want after a $35 shave. My friends shave was a bit better but still had a missed spot or two. Additionally, I got charged $20 for a clean up. I asked her to clean up the part on my hair from a previous haircut (from my first trip to Franks) a month earlier. Was told previously that I could stop in anytime for a clean up at no charge. Clearly this was not the case.

Franks is the perfect place to relax after a stressful work week. Tess is absolutely incredible, perfect cut every time. Ive been going to Franks for several years because of her expertise and professionalism, and wouldnt think of going anywhere else!

I went in for a traditional straight razor shave. Was a novel experience and a cool vibe, but the shave wasnt that great. Missed some spots here and there. Really shouldnt have to come home and shave again after 35 dollar shave. Additionally, I was told previously that I could stop in to clean up my hair cut at not additional charge (after my haircut there 3 weeks ago, ) and I ended up getting charged an extra $20 for it. I would recommend other shops in the area.
