We have a LONG history with the preserves at west view apt complex! We have lived here in total for going on 4 years. In 3 separate apartments. Started with a one bedroom for my boyfriend and I at the time, then moved in with his parents, ending up coming BACK to a two bedroom and got married and left again to move in with my parents, and came BACK AGAIN to where we now we live in a 3 bedroom as a family with our kids! The point is weve looked at other apt complexes yet we keep coming back here. Any problem weve ever had has been addressed and fixed in a. timely manner and we havent had but maybe a handful in the 4 years weve been here. The maintenance and office staff are incredibly welcoming, very nice and actually treat you like family. I love going to visit with them and just catch up with each other as weve built a decent relationship in the time Ive been here. The amenities are wonderful as well and the ground is well maintained at all times. They are very accommodating and go above and beyond their job descriptions and actually care about the residents. Ive moved my mom and my friends in here because I love it that much. Not to mention a wonderful perk is you feel like your arent in the city life but can easily get anywhere within a few short minutes because of the location. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Green haven trace apartments is affordable, safe, and a quiet place to live. I have lived here for about 3 years and I dont plan on moving until I buy a forever home. The staff is always friendly and work very hard to correct any issues you may have. The maintenance crew is always respectful and responsible and they make e feel safe. As a single parent, I couldnt recommend a better place to live. The prices are affordable and the neighborhood in general is safe. I highly recommend this area to anyone!

The maintenance staff always keep the property nice and clean and they do all the repairs in a very timely manner ( which is very important to us). The location is perfect close to everything but yet not too close. We enjoy all the extras that is here for us and the events put on by the company. I recommend living here to anyone.

Terry is fun & efficient with repairs! I love how open & spacious the floor plans are! The price is GREAT for the layout accompanied with cable, washer & dryer, car wash, gym & pool with cookout area! I also appreciate the option to pay your rent online without any extra fees. When I first moved in I sat out at the fountain every night! I most definitely will be renewing my lease here!

I live at the Preserve at West View and it is truly the best apartment complex that I have ever lived in and I have lived in several throughout my life. The staff is super nice and attentive whenever you need help. Maintenance is always handled efficiently and in a timely fashion. They are also big on having a warm sense of community which I love! Pickering has been a great management company for the complex!

The apartments at the Greenhaven Trace complex are spacious and reasonably priced for the amenities that come along with them, especially in comparison to a lot of other complexes. Grounds are well kept and maintenance is very nice! Sarah (property manager) is super sweet and has been very helpful since I moved out here. All of my neighbors are friendly and I haven’t had any major issues. Sometimes there is a noise issue from the person above me, but overall I like living there and intend to renew my lease.

The Preserve at West View has been the most wonderful place for us to live! We absolutely love everything about this complex and the management is the best! Anytime we needed maintenance, they were there right away. We NEVER had to worry about rude management or unresolved issues. What else can describe Mallard Creek Apartments other than the word HOME. I have lived here for 16 years now, and I enjoy it more and more every year.. Being so close to the soccer complex, the water park and restaurants its a great location.. Not to mention nice looking apartments.. The matinence is always very fast and friendly.. I have lived at the Preserve at Westview apartments for over two years now and I have only good things to say about them. The apartments are well kept and the staff is courteous and attentive. They have planned events throughout the year (my personal favorite being the Thanksgiving dinner) and the maintenance team is quick to respond and fix whatever issues arise. Overall a great living environment!

Great place to live. Friendly neighbors, safe environment, and fairly quiet. All equipment is updated and nice. If you have any maintenance issues they are quick and efficient in resolving those issues. Very welcoming in the office.

The preserves at west view are at a great location and we have enjoyed living here. Pickering is the company who manages it. It is nice and has plenty of amenities like the pool and gym. I would recommend!

I have been living here for two years and I do enjoy living here but there are a few things that could be better and that is Management returning calls or e-mails. I put in a request for my shower and toilet to be look at 1/1/2020 and today is 1/17/2020 and it says in process .And I also feel when we have winter weather I feel the steps need to be cleared of snow and or ice by staff. But other than that its very quite even with children living here. I havent had any problems with bugs of any kind and for the most part neighbors are friendly.

Management is great! Sarah was extremely helpful throughout the entire process of us renting our apartment. They are also good about tending to maintenance issues in a timely fashion. Overall the complex is quiet, although we have had noise issues due to an upstairs neighbor and being close to the street. There is also a theft problem. My husband has had items stolen from his motorcycle (temporary tags and a cover) twice now in the 3 months that we have lived here. I know there is a courtesy officer on site, but I do question how efficient s/he is. We also get frequent foot traffic from the surrounding areas, which concerns me since theres nothing in place to control who can enter the apartment grounds. It is a decent bang for you buck given washer/dryer and cable is included in rent, however its not as secluded as I would like it to be.

I live at Mallard Creek Apartments in Statesville. Wonderful and attentive staff! Location is perfect with easy access to 77 and walking distance to soccer complex and rec center. Apartments are cozy and updated. Pool and laundry on sight. Great place to call home!

I must say I am overly pleased as a resident of Greenhaven Trace. Its affordable and staff have responded to any maintenance issues Ive reported very promptly. By the way, I had an issue earlier this week with my refrigerator going out a day after a part was replaced...lets just say I came home today to a brand new whirlpool refrigerator with no hassle or run around from maintenance or the office staff. I am highly pleased.

I have been living in Mallard Creek for two years. I love it, you get exactly what you pay for. Staff is friendly and neighbors are great. It’s in a great neighborhood right in the center of town. Easy commute to anywhere in Statesville.

Tami, made the whole process seamless from start to finish. Shes very knowledgeable, very helpful. She kept in constant contact the whole time. When it came down to negotiations, she really took the burden off of us and handled it all with ease. I would highly recommend, Tami.

The community is calm and quiet which is fantastic and they have great month-to-month lease fees compared to other apartments. All of my maintenance requests have been filled quickly. The only consistent issue is my water heater which they have tried to fix 3 times.

I reside at the The Preserve at West End apartments, and have been overall very pleased. The apartments and grounds are well kept, the appliances are newer, and I have had very few maintenance issues. The office and maintenance staff are courteous and helpful. Rooms, especially kitchen, are small, and storage/cabinet space is lacking. But overall, I would definitely recommend these apartments.

Pickering and Co manages the apartment community located next door to the community I manage. We are often each others main referral source when the other is full. The team is amazing and will go above and beyond for their residents! If I refer someone to a community, I want to know they will be taken care of and I never hesitate to refer prospective residents to The Preserve at West View!

The Mallard Creek Leasing staff and maintenance staff is wonderful. I have no problems and all work orders are completed in one day. I highly would recommend this apartment complex to anyone that wants to reside in a nice and quite complex.

I really like the university park location. The apartments are spacious, and the staff keeps the breezeways and parking lot clean. The wifi is sometimes spotty but overall its a good location to live for students.

My husband and I have lived here [The Preserve at Westview] going on 8 years. The staff has always taken great care of us. If there are maintenance issues they typically handle them within a day and communicate if the repair will take longer. The office staff is very friendly and they offer resident activities several times a year [plus free coffee and cookies in the office]. Were on the third floor so we have vaulted ceilings in the living room and I love that our apartment has a hallway, which makes it feel bigger. Its definitely bright as there are a ton of windows, which can be difficult to keep cool if its even a remotely warm day and vice versa, the cold weather carries through the windows too. I can hear the neighbors from time to time as the sound and vibration carries between floors, but thats typical apartment living. Its generally pretty quiet as most people realize they are connected to others. The complex is also close to anything you might need and all in all Id definitely recommend living here!

I’ve lived in Greenhaven Trace since 2017, and I love it! Such an affordable price and it comes with amazing amenities! The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful as well. The maintenance handles issues very promptly. I don’t plan on leaving Greenhaven any time soon!

Very comfortable living space, well furnished, and I really like having my own bathroom and thermostat. Not to mention the walls are pretty thick so it has some good privacy.

This company’s management is HORRIBLE. our apartment flooded and cut our power of and did nothing to help Shabela pretty much told us we were on our own. Her attitude is the worst and when you suggest speaking to Sarah (the nicer one) she blows up on you and then hangs up in your face. They lost my money order on a number of occasions. The neighborhood was dirty everyday and if you need maintenance you better hope it’s not an emergency because they will not make it to you until a week later sometimes not at all.

Overall, we are happy living here. We have some minor issues in the apartment that needs fixed. I appreciate the dog bag stations. However, sometimes the stations do not have bags in them.

Lived at Greenhaven Trace Apartments a total of 7 years so far. During college (5 years) and when I got married (2 years). The 1 and 2 bedroom apartments are super spacious. I love the fact that a washer and dryer are included without an additional monthly fee. The staff have always been nice. From Ms. Tracy to Ms. Sarah. Maintenance are always quick with your requests and you have 24hr access to the gym. Greenhaven Trace is right beside the highway so easy access to anywhere. I would definitely recommend Greenhaven Trace Apartments to anyone!

I moved in (Willow Creek) last year and I love it. Everyone stays to themselves you dont hear much from neighbors and anything that needs to be fixed they are usually on it!

Back in 2012, my husband and I relocated to South Carolina. The Preserves at Westview was the first place to call us back. We moved down here sight unseen and 7 years later we are in the same apartment. This isnt just an apartment complex this is a family community. The leasing managers have changed a few times since we moved in but they always know everybodys name, kids names (if any), pets names (if any), and what apartment you are in. There are community events for the residence all throughout the year. I am glad The Preserves called us back and would recommend these apartments to anyone who was looking.

Never will I deal with any property of Pickering & Company again. They are all about money and not satisfying the needs and safety of their tenants. I currently reside at Karen Lakes Apts. in Fay, NC. Property Management and Maintenance are HORRIBLE! You can never get hold of the properly manager by telephone at anytime. You always have to send an email and wait for a response. A week ago today the lawn crew were doing some weeding of grass when one of them hit a rock which struck and shattered my bathroom window to pieces. This was reported to the Property Manager by the lawn crew and myself. As of today, no one has come to access the damage nor attempt to put up any border to keep someone from coming through my window. It is very noticeable to all who comes through the neighborhood. On May 11, there was a water leak coming from the above apartment into my bathroom all through the light fixture and my bathroom was flooded like a lake. I contacted Tami Burton since it was weekend. One maintenance gentle came out, remove the light fixture from the ceiling and attempted to check on the problem upstairs. The gentleman came back and said he would be back in a couple of days to access the water damage and stains from my ceiling and re-attached the light fixture. This was May 11th and today is July 1st and I have not seen him since. The leak was not repaired which causes stains in my bathroom and kitchen ceiling. I had to contact them again the same day and another maintenance gentlemen came out and fix the leak that was not fixed the first time. But again no one has come to access my damage of water that was in all my lighting and the lights still flick when I cut them on nor put my light fixture back up. Work orders are always put in the Portal as COMPLETE when they are INCOMPLETE. But I am expected to pay my least on time! All the gutters are filled with leaves and pine cones which needs to be cleaned out. When it rain the water does not drain well because of these which causes a safely hazard in the yards near my complex. I have been here 3 years and I am truly disappointed in this management. I have to renew my least in September until I am able to move. This will mean I will have to break my least because I refuse to continue to deal with this poor management again.

Greenhaven Trace is by far one of the best places to stay in GSO. The quietness and respect among tenants is like no other. The highway access is unmatched along with quick access to all major grocery store chains, all within a 5-10 minute radius( Publix, Lidl, Harris Teeter, Lowes, Aldi, Food Lion, and Walmart). I-40, I-85, 220, 421, 29, andBus 85 are less than 2 minutes away. Its great for a long term living arrangement because management continues to allow quality tenants a quality of life.

Property Manger Lauren of Karen Lake apartments in Fayetteville NC is very unprofessional to say the least. Terrible experience - DONT DO BUSINESS!!! this company simply took advantage of my young daughter. We left the place in MINT condition yet to yet a list of BS they found wrong. Cobwebs and a penny in a corner (Really) they found every reason not to return my daughters security deposit. I never knew you had to hire a professional painter to paint prior to moving out...and trust me were very clean people. Tammy Burton is as rude as they come. She wins you with personality initially to get your money however once your in things never get addressed and she is simply RUDE after your in!! Kenneth Baucom (owner) is as prejudice as they come ….and pretends to not have a clue about day to day operations. If your looking for a company to manage your property this is not the company to properly manage yours. Youll end up with a law suit as we plan on filing. As far as renting from as they seem to be MONEY HUNGRY and most certainly racist. RUN FAST!!! Dont give them your hard earned money because you wont get it back!!! Oh there is no corporate office and no one above TAMMY to address your issues.

Since there is no cooperate office I will be taking this company to court. I’m all for fairness and doing good business. However this company has been the worst in all of my years of renting. I have the most absurd charges on my account deducting from my deposit. I have no problem paying for “damages” but what I won’t do is overpay or be taking advantage of for normal wear and tear. Not only that I stayed into a home for 12 months with a broken refrigerator and air conditioner unit, by LAW landlords must have fully working appliances. They didn’t care to fix it because it was expensive. I never deducted money for ruined groceries the months the refrigerator went down (which it did frequently). I complained about the air conditioner leaking water which required me to keep it off most of the times. Once again an expensive fix. For a year straight no one did anything or addressed any of my concerns ( I have proof of every unanswered request) yet you want to overcharge for damages. There was numerous times I dropped my money order off into there drop box and was told they didn’t have it. Each in everytime I drove to their location just for the money order to be found where I left in the Dropbox. Which shows again carelessness and laziness. There was no filter in the refrigerator when I moved in and it was filled with dead bugs like old maggots. I purchased my own filter for a refrigerator that was broken and was never refunded for that. I had to purchase my own air filters for the house they didn’t even start me off with any of those. Before I moved in I asked them to remove their washer and dryer because I had my own I arrived to a washer and dryer in the unit. Which forced me to leave my things in storage for a few days. I never asked them for a dime although they had inconvenienced me not having it ready. When they finally came to get the things a week later there was dead bird behind the dryer. Something I should’ve never encountered had the unit been ready to go. I will never recommend anyone to rent from they can’t do business they are unfair and want the luxury of renting a apartment but don’t want to take care of it with there own money.Im sure they allowed the next tenant to move in with the same broken refrigerator and air conditioner unit. GOOD LUCK. Your better off buying a home. I will be filing a claim with them in small claims court to let someone else determine how fair these charges are especially with all I been through this year. To add on to this they are liars. Tami Burton told my mother there was no corporate office for her to talk to. But replies to me saying she was replying from the corporate office and the corporate office would be sending my deposit. Where is this office? Why is none of this information on google? Then sometimes she’s the owner but I have proof of where she would say in emails she would contact the owner for repairs and some days she just the property manager. Stay away from these liars!

Do yourself a favor and stay away from their rental properties. These people are unprofessional and their student living apartments are horrible. I will; be posting a YouTube video to back up my claims. The only reason why they have a star is because it wouldnt allow me to publish it without a star rating. Very bad experience with this company.
