Our experience with All Star Chem-Dry was very mixed. I almost hate to leave a negative review because the employee who performed the cleaning was incredibly professional. However, the point of a professional carpet cleaning was exactly that, to have clean carpets, and that was not the achieved result. Our house is less than 2 years old and the employee who performed the cleaning remarked that our carpet was in much better shape than most. He still recommended their top of the line “Healthy Home Extraction Package” and trusting his expertise, we agreed. Carpets initially looked very clean and smelled great. But within just a few days, they were already looking fairly dirty. Out of curiosity, I used our own cheap big box store carpet cleaning and I was shocked at how much dirt it collected (see picture). This was extracted exactly one week after our cleaning. I suspect that the carbonating process doesn’t actually penetrate deep into the carpet and only cleans the surface, thus leaving behind a significant amount of dirt. We essentially paid $400 for a carpet perfuming that lasted a week rather than cleaning. I think there’s a reason that most other carpet cleaners continue to use a more traditional hot water extraction process, it actually cleans all the way down to the padding.

I think they are the best. I used traditional wet carpet cleaners and ended up with worst and worst odors. Until I realized the water was not completely drying and creating mold under my carpets! The smell was in the padding. I began using Chem Dry, and I never looked back.

I was very impressed with the service: professional, knowledgable and performed excellent job. We had 2 white couch that had a couple of stains, as well as normal wear and tear. The couches looked like new once they dried after the cleaning. I would definitely recommend Dry Chem and will work with them in the future.

The biggest impact that was made on our impression of this company was the technician who came out to do the work. Neal was not only very personable and had a very gentle and knowledgeable approach in going around the house to get figures and explain the estimate, but he also did what he could to explain why certain types of treatment cost more and gave us options on which services to choose. He shared the pros and cons of each level of service, but left the final decision up to us. He wasn’t just trying to add on extra fees and services that we didn’t need, but rather gave us an appraisal of which rooms and carpet areas were in need of what treatment in order to probably get the desired outcome. It was us who insisted on getting his expert opinion and he was even willing to share some tips and hints for better maintenance and prevention of certain costly items that we could try and avoid in the future to better maintain as well as get the certain aspects of the carpets to last longer. He even gave advice to other things we wanted to keep in tip top shape, such as the wood floors and told us what his partnering company could do for us and even what they didn’t specialize in. He shared honest information even when it wasn’t going to probably lead to extra business and money collected today or next week, but was rather interested in building a relationship and serving our family fairly over time.When we made a decision to what services to proceed with, he worked steadily but not to quickly, showing an urgency of care and determination to get ideal results out of his products and equipment. He took extra time in spots that when needed, showing a confidence in their methodology and the chemistry behind their detergents. He was not quick to just give up on a tough stain in haste, which showed he really believe in his work and took great pride in the results he strives for with his customers. There were some understandably high traffic areas that had worn or faded a bit and were not going to look as brilliant or uniform as others, but he still to great care in trying blend those areas in and made sure to use their protectant chemical in areas where it appeared the children were prone to mishaps so that they wouldn’t be as hard to clean and clear up in the future.Overall we are extremely pleased with this company, and feel very blessed to have been assigned Neal as the technical expert who came out to do the work. He is not only very experienced, but also has a great disposition and personality for his work. His skill sets are top shelf and her really cares about being a man of character and professionalism. The floor space that he worked on today was quite large with a couple of rooms on the first floor and all the rooms but one on the second floor being carpeted and we decided to have them all worked on. He did not have a partner to share the load today, which didn’t interfere with the quality of his work or the positive attitude he showed in completing the strenuous labor. Although he appears to be in excellent condition, we still offered him “socially distant” and extra sanitized refreshment so he could stay energized and hydrated. Even though he acknowledged his appreciation and concern that we had for him and us offering in such a COVID safety and friendly manner, he was determined to keep plugging along with perseverance so he could stay on pace with peak productivity. It was not until he had completed his mission and was getting things signed and paid for that he accepted an offer to get some bottled water for his drive to his next location.Neal took very good care of our carpets up to their optimum given their age and they seem to have a polish on them even though we know it is just that they are well cleaned. Perhaps it is him being so polished that rubbed off on the carpets and gave them an even better shine.

Showed up on time were courteous and professional. Careful to read carpet materials in order to be transparent about the outcome. Will definitely call again when carpets need cleaning.

I really could not recommend this company just based upon the results of the cleaning. I had them do the deep clean of my entire upstairs and while it looked ok right after the cleaning, all the spots came back the next day. Also, the service is very expensive and I was charged over 600 just to clean a few rooms, and that was after a 20% discount.It’s more cost effective to just replace your carpet for the prices they charge, and the cleaning is just not very good.I Can say the crew was extremely nice and friendly, but I would not use them again just because their equipment did not clean very well and I feel like I got ripped off.

I had a great experience with All Star Chem-Dry. Everyone from Brenda who took my call to Neal who came to clean my love seat were friendly, helpful and honest. Access to my apartment proved to be a little challenging due to the distance from the parking lot, but Neal was able to make it work with a little ingenuity. Neal took the time to explain how different furniture materials respond to the steam cleaning process and was upfront about whether or not he would be able to remove all the dog hair from the upholstery. In the end, my love seat, which is 7 years old, cleaned up very well and looks and smells like its brand new. While they do have a minimum charge of $129, for me it was well worth it because now I dont have replace it just yet. Money well spent.

All Star Chem Dry did an unbelievable job on my upholstery. I have an elderly dog with urinary issues....need I say more? These guys were so efficient and thorough....explained what needed to be done to salvage my furniture. I could not be more pleased and grateful for the incredible job they did. You would never know I had a dog....all odors gone. They will always be my first (and only) call.

They offer a great service and value. Our carpets were extremely dirty and had many pet stains. The service men were quick and detailed. They provided expert opinions on how to clean the pet stains and set expectations. Then they exceeded those expectations and offered service after if anything does not meet our approval. Brandon could not have been more polite and detailed in explaining how Chem-Dry is different from the steam cleaning. I have used All Star Chem-Dry for over 12 years and have always been extremely satisfied with their work. The staff is awesome and the owner has always been professional and knowledgeable. I have used them for my personal home, rental homes, area rugs, window treatments and furniture. Very reasonably priced and I have always felt I got a good value for the money. They are not a low cost cleaner that works good for 2 weeks and then the stains come back. In my experience All Star Chem Dry CLEANS the carpets and has always been upfront if they felt something wouldnt come out all the way. In one property I had 3 different tenants over an 8 year period (the same carpet for 8 years) and All Star always made the carpets look good and never had to replace them. Contacted Chem-Dry too set up an appointment too have our carpet cleaned. They arrived on time as scheduled neat, clean, polite respectful cant say enough about these guys.I showed them what we wanted ( this time was the whole house), they gave me the cost which was very reasonable, I ask them if they needed anything else they said no, I ask them to make sure the door was locked when they left . ChemDry is always my first choice when I need my carpets cleaned. They are polite and courteous. They handle my furniture with care. I love the fact that they use green cleaning solutions and I can walk on my carpets soon after cleaning.

The service technicians were prompt and well educated about the products. The carpets looked almost brand new and dried quickly.

My wife called All Star ChemDry after receiving a coupon in the mail. Granted, the limited amount of square footage was explained in the small print, the coupon boasts that three rooms cleaned for $189.00. Also, the website says a free estimate is offered, but when she called, she was told there would be a $25 charge for an estimate, if they did not get the job. If they got the job, they needed to be ready to clean that day, and the $25 would be applied to the cost of cleaning. She felt the quote was high, over $400 for less than 600 square feet, but was impressed with the explanation of the cleaning technique.. After all of that was ironed out, we decided to go ahead with the company. We are very disappointed in the results. First of all, the carpets were wet for nearly two days. It was explained to my wife that steam cleaning leaves your carpet very wet, can cause mold, etc., and that was NOT the technique they used. Secondly, after the carpet dried, spots returned. Carpet basically looks no different than before,. We would not choose again nor recommend All Star ChemDry.

Beware of this Chem-Dry franchise. I inadvertently scheduled an online appointment with the wrong franchise - thinking I was scheduling with the same one I had used 6 months ago. When they called to confirm my appointment, I noticed the call was from Greensboro and I asked if I had called the wrong place because we are in Wake County. I was told by the women on the phone that I had the right place and they serviced Wake County, but their home office was in Greensboro. They showed up on time but their prices were more than double what I paid before. I should have just asked them to leave, but we were listing our house, so I needed the work done. Chem-Dry of Wake County, Chem-Dry of Cary, Chem-Dry of Raleigh all charge $99 for 3 rooms with a coupon. I got the exact same service and they charged me $270 and that was WITH a 20% discount.

Do not bother with the $119 coupon mailer. As stated by the owner Ty it really doesnt do much but buff the carpet. We ended up being up sold to a $347 carpet cleaning for three very small rooms. Which was a 25% discount from the normal charge. The cleaning was not that great, the price was a huge disappointment from the first time I used them two years ago. Bringing my concerns to the owner, only confirms my decision to go elsewhere. Very poor customer service. Shop around, there has to be something better out there!!!
