What we thought was a “minor water problem” quickly became a major one, and within 2 hours of contacting 1st Aide Restoration, Inc. they were at our home, assessing the situation and what needed to be done. Within the next ½ hour, Doug Watkins had arranged for someone to come to fix the offending pipe, and a crew to start correcting the problem the following day! That same amazing crew - Corey Lewis, Greg Maxwell and Sam Watkins, checked the progress every day for the next 4 days! – unheard of in my customer services experiences! Everyone was incredibly polite, professional, knowledgeable, competent and efficient!Anyone who has had service people who have to crawl around under your home – in a protective suit – in +95°F temps – knows those wearing the suits can become understandably grumpy – not these guys! I purchased a home these people did the restoration on after a flood. I wasnt going to post, but after finding sparks coming out of a ceiling fan they improperly hung, which couldve burned down the house, Im livid and felt I should post. When I found things wrong and sloppy with their work I called the owner of this company and he was very rude because I did not own the house when the disaster happened now was I the one who contracted with them to do the work. All of the above was on the invoice and paid for.....(1) poorly hung fan, fire hazard (2) crooked chair molding (3) missing shelves in the laundry and pantry closets (4) dryer vent system missing (5) The over the stove microwave hung so high you need a ladder to use the microwave. The entire bill was $41K. I may not be able to do anything now, but I can assure all.... Id NEVER use them if I had any disaster. NEVER NEVER NEVER

I want to start by saying you can look at other reviews I have left for companies and after over 70 reviews left I havent left a bad review for anyone until now. OK with that said. Not only was the quality of the work terrible, it was also over priced. I assumed with the high price I would be getting top notch work. Ive had to look over their shoulder the entire time. I paid extra to get some rotting boards replaced and I was concerned about the few places they replaced and instead of replacing boards, they just cut a piece out and it looks weird now. When I would email them about it, he would answer other questions but not say anything about the boards. This was about 5 emails that he avoided answering me. Then they came out to paint over it without replying to me about my concerns or even acting like he heard them. When I told the workers about it Danny (the guy handling me) had an attitude. Said he wouldnt replace anymore. I gave in and they painted over my concerned areas and the piece they replaced a 1x1ft cut instead of replacing board. And it does look weird btw. When they replaced the shingles they didnt have clean cuts on the shingles. I had to complain again and get them to fix. Which is really annoying. Of course I had to message them to complain multiple times. Then they painted parts of my house AFTER they did shingles and got white paint on my new black shingles! They didnt say anything like I was not going to see white paint on black shingles everywhere. Had to get him back out for that. Then the work inside the house should have taken 2 days at most. It took them 7 plus days. I had to complain about the employees. There were some days they were here all day and not much has changed. Like one coat of paint on a ceiling of a 10 x 15 room. And they didnt tape or do anything to get a clean line. I want to remind you that they wernt the cheapest quote. I expected quality work. In one room they didnt even take the light fixture off. Needless to say. Try a different contractor

1st Aide Restoration came to my rescue after an emergency flooding in mykitchen. The crew went straight to work demolishing the floor in short orderthen installed the fans to start the drying process. After drying was completed the new floors were installed by a most talented man & his helper. Their attention to detail could not have been better. The entire group @ 1st Aide Restoration have been most professional & attentiveduring the entire process. This is the group you want in your home.

After some large hail producing thunderstorms swept through Walkertown, my elderly mother thought her shingles might be damaged.1st Aide Restoration came out to look at her home and found that there was no damage to the roof.I was shocked at their honesty. Because they did not get paid to come out and get on the roof to check it. So they did not make any money this time, and they said just call them again the next time I need anything.They did a great job of building a relationship of trust with our family.If you are getting quotes on Storm Damage or Water Damage, you might want to give them a chance to look at your job.

Great crew to work with they got everything done on time and the job was 100% done with no issues and they had to work with extremely bad situations and came out on top and everything is perfect and I will recommend these nice wonderful people to do any job no matter how small or how big it may seem and I will be referring everyone I know

We recently suffered water damage to our home and called our agent to ask for help with this traumatic experience. We were given names of a few restoration companies and we were lucky enough to get Doug Watkins of 1st Aide Restoration. From the first phone call made to this business to the last person to walk out our door, I’ve never had a more positive experience. Doug immediately came to our home and began the drying out process. He explained everything thoroughly that would need to be done in a professional, yet compassionate manner. Throughout the process, Doug or a member of his crew checked on us almost every day. And I have to tell you – having total strangers in your home every day and leaving them with your home for two weeks while you’re in a hotel could be anxiety provoking. But I never had a moment’s pause with these guys. They took care of us and did an excellent job on repairs. Doug’s kindness, enthusiasm and overall great positive attitude helped us get through a very trying time.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. The owner came to my house and told me he could handle my problem. He told me he could either be the general contractor or he could refer me directly to the contractors. I told him I would like him to handle it. After repeated phone calls he did not follow through and never got anyone out to my house to fix my problem. He lied and said that he told me he only handles insurance claims, said he gave me the phone numbers and contact info of his contractors and said that I told him I would take care of it myself. He was a very nice man and I put my trust in him and he let me down and did not follow through with anything he said he would do. I would not recommend this company.
