GREAT space! The rooms are large and well appointed. Cleanliness and sustainability permeate the facility. We had a sales meeting in one of the suites and the staff could not have been nicer or more efficient. The Bistros food and drink were exceptional. The avocado toast was the best I have had. Cant wait until the next time I can find a reason to stay there!
Very nice, spacious room, immaculately clean. Terrific atmosphere throughout and the staff were friendly and helpful. I really loved the living room on each floor, its great to have a quiet, semi private spot to chill out w a cuppa in the morning when youre the first person up. The filtered water was an extra nice touch too. Great place, Id definitely stay again if I were in or near Greensboro.
This is a lovely hotel with a unique style and ambiance. The hotel has ample sitting space in the lobby and outdoors. The large windows in the rooms are nice to have. The hotel staff was super courteous. The Printworks Bistro adjoined to the hotel is a fantastic restaurant.Of course, perfection is hard to achieve. The rooms are quite small. The structure and amenities in the room are quite obviously geared to the needs of businessmen. One could say the business-oriented nature of the hotel makes sense since it is located in an office park.Overall, I enjoyed my stay.
This was a lovely place to have a romantic getaway. It was a quiet hotel with a fabulous restaurant in house! We never heard a sound from the hallway or other rooms. There was a pretty pool area, but too small to really take advantage of it. Highly recommend!
I recently stayed at the Proximity for a “staycation”, just to get away from home. I am local to the area, so I was already familiar with the hotel, but never stayed there. My stay was excellent. Print Works Bistro never disappoints whether doing room service dining or dining in the restaurants. The staff is amazing and courteous. My room was clean and very comfortable. I highly recommend The Proximity to anyone who is visiting the area or just wants a small getaway. It was a pleasant, upscale experience!
The room and service was very nice. The only issue I had was with my room key constantly deactivating. Its a older building and the hallway looks sort of like a dungeon. But overall I stay was great.
I stayed five nights in the hotel, and it was good enough for me. The best part of the hotel is the restaurant- Print Works Bistro. Another great aspect of the hotel is the staff. The staff is excellent, amicable, helpful, and kind.Although the overall stay was pleasant, there were several issues. The pool is pretty small and has some leaves inside. The gym has a limited variety of equipment.Unfortunately, there were some things that I didnt expect from a four-star hotel. The showers head was leaking, and poured water to the sides. The sink has some rust. The coffee machine was broken (still usable). There are two internet connections, complementary and premium. I used the complementary one, and it was not good as it should be in a four-star hotel. Housekeepers didnt fill the soaps/shampoo/conditioner every day. One time they took the shower rag and didnt put it back. Housekeepers did not clean the sofa in one of the days. These complaints only affect my stay slightly, but these are things I expect from a four-star hotel.
I rented a hospitality suite for my husbands 50th birthday. Due to COVID, we were not able celebrate him as planned but the hospitality suite was perfect for a small celebration with the family. My husband was very pleased and said that he wouldnt have wanted to celebrate any other way. The rooms were very clean and there was plenty of space for social distancing. The service from the Proximity staff was exceptional from check-in to check-out. Definitely on the top of my list of preferred hotels in Greensboro.
Comfortable, immaculate, spacious rooms. Able to make the room so dark for sleeping. Ambiance throughout was quiet and peaceful. A gem!
We had an amazing stay at the Proximity. The staff was so nice and everything was so clean. There was an error with the price of our room and they quickly fixed it without us asking. We cant wait to go back.
Whenever my family travels to South Carolina for vacation, we prioritize staying overnight at the Proximity Hotel in Greensboro; it is always one of the highlights of our trip. We love everything about the hotel - from the comfortable room and beautiful lobby to a dip in their pool and delicious breakfast the following morning. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and always make us feel welcome. We wish every hotel stay felt this inviting.
Very nice hotel. It is beginning to look a bit worn. Many hotels I have stayed at lately have had this look and I think it is because of the covid restrictions. We enjoyed the pool and we love the dining room, especially eating breakfast on the terrace. Excellent service.
Well before I go into the hotel, going to address the. General manager, want to commend you personally and say well you have put together the complete package. Staffed by professional people in all areas. They represent you and the owners 24/7. They.come in with the goal to deliver the best service to all guests they serveOkay now the hotel has a warm and inviting atmosphere, rooms are well laid out, beautiful bathroom, now the restaurant is also open and comfortable feeling atmosphere, food was excellent, room service also top notch. . A young lady at the front desk.Felicia now I was admiring her 4 stars on her lapel, . Said they were rewarded by upper management, next time I visit she will have more . Stayed this past weekend 2nights, king corner, will be coming back soon for the king spa experience. William Hollman 06/04/21.
STELLAR! We just spent 3 nights at the Proximity Hotel. It was DIVINE. The staff are warm, comfortable, and welcoming from the front desk to all of the servers and greeters at Print Works Bistro and at Green Valley Grill at the O Henry Hotel. The room is decorated very nicely and is comfortable, though the mattress didnt agree with us totally. This is a top notch boutique hotel with wonderful service and excellent food at the attached restaurants. Coming back again....and again!
Service, rooms and restaurant were all outstanding. Liked the self service beverages and water on the hotel room floor. The restaurant staff were great to talk to and provided great service even while busy.
The rooms are very clean, the customer service was excellent, and dining at Printworks Bistro was amazing. We cant wait to visit again. Definitely worth the 3 hour drive.
We had great service from the front desk and all of our experiences except one were very good in the restaurants. We used the pool and they were staying on top of keeping the area clean and keeping fresh towels available. Its a great place for a quiet refreshing stay.
I have been remiss in not reviewing this phenomenal leave it all behind getaway previously!! More than once I have taken the opportunity to truly pamper myself in style without having to waste any time traveling away from Greensboro. I have just made yet another reservation to enjoy this employee owned top-notch service and gourmet food, while staying in a spacious room with a uniquelydesigned overly deep bathtub and separate shower area....situated so you can either have low light candles and music or open the privacy windows and watch some of your Netflix favs while soaking in your favorite bath oil or other additive. The food and service has never wavered from what one would expect from the finest of chefs and most attentive of staff. And the ambiance of the various areas in the hotel, especially the Lower Lobby, will fill you with a feeling of peace and elegance where one cannot help but forget all of lifes stressors. Truly one of Greensboros best kept secrets to truly rejuvenate in style.
Beautiful hotel. Leed platinum certified. Taking great measures to protect guests. The staff are super attentive. I had a lovely conversation with the general manager this morning. The Print Works Bistro restaurant is fabulous. We had dinner and breakfast there during our stay. The pool area is lovely and the common areas are well thought out and beautiful.
Our stay at the hotel itself was nice, quiet, and modern. We bought the reopening package and could not have been more disappointed with affiliated restaurants. We would definitely stay at the hotel again but steer clear of restaurants.
My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary. It was the perfect place to do so. The room, food, and service was great! Weve shared our great experience with many of our friends. We will be back.
The Proximity went above and beyond to make our anniversary stay special - including personalized touches from GM Tiffany Reynolds and a special surprise during our wonderful dining experience at Print Works Bistro. We had a couple simple requests before and during our stay and they were both met perfectly and with a smile. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable and the hotel is spotless. The staff is friendly and attentive while still following all safety procedures. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone staying in the Greensboro area!
We loved our anniversary stay at Proximity, as ever - while not cheap, the hotel is lovely and phenomenally run and made us want to stay longer! Jimmy at the front desk was especially kind to us.The restaurant (Print Works) is very tasty, but reservations are definitely recommended - as it is QUITE popular, tasty, and reasonably priced for excellent food.If we can manage it, well be back next anniversary, too!The location is a bit odd in my book, and not terribly busy, but there is enough to do - our favorite was a fantastic genuine Italian Bakery nearby (Dolce & Amaro).
Always an amazing stay! Great staff hospitality. The room finishing as and decor were beautiful. Thank you for another great stay.
This hotel is an interesting place to stay. Very eco-friendly. The hotel is upscale and at the same time designed to be energy efficient. Service was fantastic.
Amazing rooms, super friendly staff, and great room service. It was perfect for a date night!
My original stay was for two nights and then I called in about two days ahead and added another night. It was for my birthday. My room was gorgeous and there were chocolate truffles waiting for me in my room. Check in was easy and swift and I was greeted immediately upon entry. Room service was delightful and the staff was so nice. Every time I exited the hotel, I was told hello and greeted when I returned. I was able to get the rest I needed and the comfort I desired. I will definitely be back. No complaints.
Beautiful hotel and top notch customer service! I highly recommend!
The hotel was fabulous. The rooms were large and clean, the customer service was excellent, and the food was delicious. We enjoyed our stay very much, and I highly recommend the hotel.
Wife and I absolutely loved our stay cation here. Very friendly and warm staff. We didnt want to leave. Would absolutely recommend to anyone staying in the Triad area.
My new wife and I got the honeymoon package for our one night here. The professionalism of the staff and the presentation of our room was fantastic! My wife says she would love to go there again just to soak in the nice big tub they have 😁🤣
My wife and I enjoy our staycations at the Proximity Hotel. We always book one of their Loft King Spa rooms. The bathroom is luxurious. Whether your book a room with one of their packages, add a la carte amenity or just seeking a wonderful nights sleep, this hotel is perfect. All of the staff go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. We cant wait to go back!
Our stay at Proximity Hotel was pleasant! Really nice staff and the food at Printworks was fabulous! We would definitely stay here again! Joyce was super sweet and made sure the London Taxi was arranged for airport pickup and drop off! We really appreciated the hospitality! Thank you!
Loved our stay! great room service, amazing staff and delicious food. Only negative was showers had very low water pressure
Proximity Hotel is the sister property to the O.Henry Hotel, which we love dearly. This was our first stay at Proximity and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience as well. The staff was attentive and discreet, and our room was slightly small but very, very nice. We had a spa suite with a full size bathtub and shower, so relaxing. The view out our window was peaceful, with a great view of the sunset. We ordered room service as part of our stay package, and the dining was world-class. One thing we noticed was a strong influence of French cuisine, with many rich sauces and cream-based flavors. Everything was wonderful with every meal, except for the busy Saturday night where room service took nearly an hour to deliver. All in all this was a wonderful experience, at a beautiful location, with luxurious service and a peaceful stay. We would highly recommend for a couples getaway, and for us it will be difficult choose between this and O.Henry in the future.
Ok I am an embassy suite girl. Tried this hotel it was nice. HIGH-PRICED not worth it. I get a 2 rm suite. Mgr special 2 free drinks. Plus all u can eat bkft. Fresh made omelet while u wait. 2 55 inch 📺 tv in ur room. Living rm plus bedroom for 150.00 this hotel gave me nothing for 235.00Back 2 embassy suite
My husband and I just ate at the Print Works Bistro, the restaurant at the hotel, and it was $$$ but the entees and desserts were absolutely scrumptious. The server was fabulous. We sat in the overflow room which I thought was nicer than the main dinner room because it was more quiet and intimate, the lighting was perfect, and there was a nice selection of music playing in the background. Everything about our evening there was wonderful! Be sure to make a reservation because they stay busy.
Staff was friendly and room was clean and comfortable. Loved the Aveda bath products. My only complaint were the pillows. They were very uncomfortable and left me with a stiff neck. All in all it was a wonderful stay and I will definitely stay here again.
Loved our stay! Good room service, clean room...Coffee could use an upgrade, ☕ but wouldnt stop us from staying again!
We were excited about staying at this hotel for a night; after all, we thought it would be close to immaculate given the amount of money we paid. We arrived around 2:30 p.m., check-in was available at 3. Luckily, we had a friends room that we were getting ready in for a wedding at 5 p.m. and an Uber that was supposed to be arriving at 4:30. I went down to the lobby to check into our room at 3:15 p.m. The room was not ready and I was told by the front desk clerk that I would receive a phone call when our room was ready. At 4:20 p.m., I still had not received a phone call and went to check on our room status again, but was told once more that our room was not available. Luckily, by the time we got back to our hotel around midnight, our room was ready. Super disappointed with this hotel and the service.
Beautiful penthouse suite with 3 conjoined rooms! Gorgeous light fixtures and modern furniture. Enjoyed my visit def will be back
Every stay at The Proximity Hotel is just delightful. The hotel was immaculately clean and beautiful, and all of my experiences at Print Works Bistro were exquisite.
Super chill hotel in historic Greensboro, NC. Of course, its solar green construction is cool, but what made our stay was all of the surrounding green-space around which you could wander and gaze upon from the peace and quite of your well sound-insulated room. We got in late and didnt have a chance to sample the menu, but it looked amazing. The Proximity is deceptively simple looking design that well incorporates the surrounding space for various events and gatherings!
Lovely facility. Takes Covid seriously. Spacious King Room. Great location for all Greensboro. Hope to come back
Proximity Hotel Greensboro NCWe wanted a hotel to celebrate my wifes birthday in January, during the pandemic. We wanted to indulge ourselves. We found the Proximity Hotel and were amazed by the hotel and the room but mostly the staff and service! It is a warm but modern hotel with quirky touches. The room, a spa loft (immaculately clean), with floor to ceiling windows and a window seat, was absolutely designed by people who wanted to create a space where they would want to spend time. It had everything you would want to relax and enjoy. The staff was extraordinary! Every single one of them was happy and engaged with joyful personality! Any request was met with swift and thoughtful response. We booked and went for a return trip for our anniversary and Valentines day and had an equally wonderous stay! AND the restaurant and the one at their sister hotel, The OHenry, are fantastic (look for our reviews of Green Valley Grill and Print Works Bistro). If you read this review and decide to go...You are welcome!
Incredible experience staying at Proximity! The staff was very friendly. The service was amazing.
The bed was rock hard, the sheets were knotty and rough. For just under $500 for a room, Id of expected whats advertised as a 4diamond hotel to be a $500 room
The place is so beautiful The service is wonderful and the food is so delicious
Honestly the best in Greensboro. I was very happy with my stay and they treated me very well. If you are worried about cleanliness then put that worry to bed. They are super clean. They make you feel like royalty. Great staff at the door, the kitchen, the cleaning crew, all of it grade A++
Top Notch Hotel and Staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Had a wonderful stay.
We had a wonderful stay very nice rooms service was top notch!!!! Will definitely be back!! Love it!
I did not enjoy my stay. The halls of the hotel were dark and looked creepy. The room wasnt all that great. The bed was not comfortable and no comfortable chairs to sit in. They just looked pretty. The bathroom setup was weird. The connected bistro food was ok but not really worth the elevated price. I ordered the Beignets and they were not beignets, but cream puffs with a horrible chocolate sauce on top. I would not recommend staying here and I would not in the future.
Stylish, contemporary rooms with ample space and amenities. Comfortable beds and appropriate lighting options, including black-out for late mornings. On-site restaurant is wonderful. Very enjoyable stay, with appropriate pandemic protocols in place. Facemasks available, and sanitizer in handy spots. Worthy of your time and money!
We stayed here for our honeymoon night 10 years ago. The staff did everything they could to make it experience just as amazing now as it was then. Everyone was so nice and attentive!
From check-in until check-out all the team members at Proximity Hotel delivered a FIVE STAR performance.
This is the second time Ive had a chance to stay in this hotel - and being from the city, its rare that Id opt to do so. I was able to book via the opening special - a great deal! And spent the night in the King Spa Room. What a great room! I love it here, and printworks downstairs is consistently one of my favorite places to eat in the city. The service is incredible, and I really love this place.
Great hotel, service was great. Food at the Print Works bistro was excellent
We had a great time!! Staff was helpful and made our stay even better. Food is excellent at Printworks!
One of the best hotels in the area
This is a great hotel. I love the rooms and the bathrooms. Plenty of places to put your things. Good food in their restaurant or of course Room Service is great during these COVID days.
Brunch is always marvelous on the patio and creekside! Great variety of things on the menu to choose from. Just had the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict with sauteed spinach. Perfect!
One of the very best hotels!
Ok, it’s covid I get it, however this hotels doesn’t follow the 6 feet rule. The hotel had a line the crowded the lobby. No one could follow the covid guidelines. As I was waiting in line along with other angry customers no manager came out to apologize or check on us. This is the most unorganized false 5 start hotel I’ve ever been too. You are better off going to Hilton or Marriott. The main reason I will not be back at this hotel is because we were not compensated for our wait or bad customer service that was given to us.
Truly enjoyable stay. The staff is so accommodating. The rooms are large and attractive. Modern, comfortable, extremely quiet. Great for a getaway or business.
Tremendous service, friendly staff, great food and drink. The room was excellent, comfortable and stylish.Just a great place to take your special someone.
A truly one of a kind experience as you walk in to a magnificent and expansive lobby bejeweled with spiral staircases going down on to the sides. Looking forward to staying here in May 2021!
I would caution anyone who was or is electrically sensitive to bring their own incandescent bulbs and temporarily substitute them in place of the LEDs the hotel chooses to use when staying here. I made the mistake of not initially using my gaussmeter to the check the EMF readings. When I checked those levels the following day, my meter showed levels of over 280 mg when checking the lamps on the night stands. Levels over 2 mg are considered problematic, particularly for anyone who is electrically sensitive.
Relaxing weekend get away!
Everything was amazing. The staff, the room, the food at print works. Couldnt recommend it more
Great Hotel with excellent accommodations and a unique focus on excellent service. Great staff, a delight to stay there (and their restaurants and bars have amazing food and drink selections)
Beautiful property and close shops and restaurants.
My newlywed wife and I shared the pleasure of having our wedding reception hosted at this incredibly delightful hotel this past weekend. I cant articulate enough how indescribably pleased we are with everything about our evening. The event space that we utilized was absolutely captivating. The staff and management was nothing but courteous and commendable. Along with the catering that was delectable, this turned out to be quite literally a perfect celebration. The room that we spent our weekend in was simply breathtaking aswell. The appreciation we have for the results can not be expressed enough! Thank you to a stupendous venue and staff!
I had to book a room last minute, which is typically stressful, but the staff at Proximity made it SO EASY! Salisha in particular went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure my husband and I were taken care of. It is also important to note that their COVID protocols were also very put together and made me feel safe.
Unbelievable deal. 300 one night stay and 150 food voucher. Awesome service. Covid friendly. A++ stay
It was very nice, great for a romantic getaway
My Family and I had an early dinner there...the Atmosphere was outstanding..everyone seemed to be Covid conscious...Tony our server was very knowledgeable about the food..he gave us EXCELLENT service!..we will be back....THANKS
This was a very nice property. The rooms are big and comfortable. The folks there are friendly and helpful and so nice. The restaurant there is excellent too. If we are in Greensboro, NC again we would definitely stay there.
My wife and I booked one of the specials and it was worth it. I could type a pages upon pages on what is right about this place and honestly I don’t believe I can type a single negative thing about the Proximity.
Visited the proximity for 2 days of strategic planning meetings. Food was excellent as always and service on point even with covid restrictions.
Beautiful hotel with very friendly and helpful staff.
Everything about the Proximity is top notch. Eco friendly hotel with amazing service, super clean rooms and professional staff.
As a surprise birthday gift my significant other and I spent the night in the Loft King Spa for a night. Id give 5 stars just for the bathroom! Sliding doors to enter the bathroom and personal bath robes. The walk-in glass wall shower and separate tub feature with waterfall spout brings out the best fantasy. Opening side window next to the tub that leads into the bedroom is the perfect way for a couple to celebrate. Bluetooth speaker hookup for surround sound in the room and dont worry about the noise level because the walls are sound proofed. Probably one of the best nights Ive slept considering the bed was covered in Bamboo linens. Looking forward to coming back in the future!
Amazing rooms with amazing staff. Can not say anything bad about them at all
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Proximity. We came here for our wedding night and enjoyed the spa room and king bed. Everything was clean and there were even treats for us. While our stay was great, our check-in process was a nightmare. We arrived in a London Taxi (courtesy of Proximity) directly from our wedding. All I had was my bouquet. When we came inside, the receptionist asked for our IDs, which we didnt have. The room had also already been paid for but they needed a credit card to swipe. Needless to say, we had to sit and wait in the lobby for 30 minutes until someone from the wedding could bring us our things. There should be a more efficient way of allowing the bride and groom to check-in to their room.
Beautiful hotel and friendly staff.
This is my second time staying at Proximity and once again it was a lovely experience. The rooms are beautifully appointed and unique. The service was excellent and the food in the restaurant was incredible! I am absolutely in love with the bathroom and soaking tub/shower. My favorite breakfast was the salmon eggs benedict. But, I was there for a week and nothing disappointed. I hope I have the opportunity to return in the near future. It definitely makes travelling for work less stressful.
Close to High point university. The team at Proximity did a great job to make sure all of our needs were met. The rooms were very nice and accommodating. Thank you for a great experience.
We normally stay with our son and daughter-in-law when we come to Greensboro. This time we were with other family members for a wedding. We gave the young people the free stay and we took the hotel. It was like a mini retreat!! I cannot say enough about the cheerful attitude and professionalism of every staff member we encountered at Proximity. The rooms are very comfortable and had everything we needed. I LOVED the bathroom! The makeup mirror made my day! They appreciate their customers who wear “readers”! 😉 The food and service at The Bistro is amazing!! The outdoor space is beautiful!! We can’t wait to go back for dinner the next time we are in town. Almost forgot...the room service! Very affordable and just the right late night menu! Proximity will be our go to hotel in Greensboro!
Food was amazing and so was the staff
This hotel does not look like much when you walk around, but the service is good. The care that is provided is what you pay for. The food is pricey, but well executed. The bistro that is attached provided the food and drinks. If you have a complaint, the staff will work to fix it without hesitation if they can, if they cant they are willing to get someone who can fix it. The one thing I found out about the place that was astounding is that it is green. Fully green. My only drawback to the place is that some of the inside needs some work, but hey not everything can be perfect.
Spent my wedding night here & it was PERFECT! Room was setup with rose petals and had a nice card and wine on ice along with chocolate covered strawberries! By far the nicest room I’ve ever stayed in with the most professional staff and food is a major plus wish I didn’t live out of state this would definitely be my getaway hotel 10 star !!!!
Amazing hotel with a contemporary yet country feel. Located 10 minutes from airport and other businesses in Greensboro. Beautiful architecture and furnishings. Rooms are spacious and clean. The ceiling could use some work in our room. Otherwise everyone we encountered were great. Traveling with a toddler is always hard but they helped me get a complimentary shuttle to the airport and the gentleman helped bring my car seat and bag into the check in counter. Super nice! Ordered room service: French onion soup with the dessert melange — three different tastings of their dessert. Very good. Breakfast in the bistro was beautiful and great service.
Great outdoor patio dining. Excellent personable and welcoming service.
