I am beyond pleased with the respect, professionalism, care, and comfort that Megan provided as she walked me through the cremation process for my Mom. Megan went above and beyond for me, and genuinely shows how much she truly cares for people even at the end of life.
Meghan was wonderful, professional and very efficient in handling my family members needs. What could have been be a dreadful time, became an unforgettably memorable process. Thank you.
Our experience with Charlene was absolutely wonderful! She went above and beyond for us handling all of our needs! She is incredibly compassionate and understanding! She is in the right profession!
Losing a loved one is always hard, and dealing with the aftermath can be even harder. Our situation after losing our loved one was very tumultuous. Charlene made sure she did everything she could for us. She is amazing. Her job was not easy and she handled it so well. Everything ended up being perfect thanks to her and everyone here. Kyle Brewer and I will forever be grateful for everything they did for us.
Our family has needed the services of Michigan Cremation and Funeral Care three times in the last two years. Each time they have been caring, helpful, and always professional. They cared for our loved ones with the utmost respect and supported and the family in whatever way they could.
This is my second time using Michigan cremation for a loved one and I am very pleased with the service they offer. Megan does a great job on details and offers very helpful advice during the planning process. I would highly recommend them for your loved one.
I made my first call to Michigan Cremation And Funeral in the middle of the night only an hour after I had learned of my mothers unexpected passing. With it being after hours I was told I would recieve a call back shortly from someone to better assist me. I recieved a call back from Charlene in less than 3 minutes. From the get go she was extremely helpful in explaining the process and what my options were. She was incredibly patient with me as I tried to explain the nature of my call in between sobs and was understanding when I asked her probably 100 times to repeat what she had just said so I could be sure I was understanding everything with my clouded mind. She then followed up that same night with an email of everything we had discussed to be sure I had all of the information i needed and even called the next afternoon to check in with me. Through every step of the process she made sure to keep in constant contact either by email or phone to keep me informed of what was happeing and she was always willing to answer any questions I had whenever I had one come up. I was also able to complete all of the paperwork via email which was fablous since I live just over an hour away. I did end up running into a few hang ups with other people at DHS and social security and even through all of that Charlene made sure to help in anyway she could, including faxing documents repeatedly for me to the various offices that were giving me issues. She was honestly a breath of fresh air during this whole stressful and difficult situation and I cannot say thank you enough. Even the hard parts were made lighter and during the waiting period I had to go through with DHS I felt comfortable knowing my mother was in Charlenes care.
Charlene went above to help with my sisters unexpected death. She answered every question, phone call, email, and concern we had during this difficult process. Took it into her hands to help write the obituary and much more. She was professional, compassionate and so understanding. couldnt have done this without her.
We had the best experience as you could possibly have in this sad situation. The gentleman that came to take my grandfather was very considerate and let us take our time. Then we were helped by Charlene. You couldnt ask for a nicer sweeter person. She made me feel that I could ask any questions and I had lots. She quickly set up an obituary for us and when I was ready to add our personal touch to the obit, she was more than happy to do so. My grandfather was a world war II vet and all I had to do was let Charlene know that we wanted the honor guard at the funeral and she set it completely up. Charlene showed true compassion to myself and my entire family. She went above and beyond. Thank you to everyone at Michigan cremation.
We had an unexpected passing which made things overwhelming. Michigan cremation was incredibly responsive and answered all the questions we had about the process. They were very kind and understanding while also providing professional service. We are grateful we chose them for our mom’s care.
I was very pleased with the services offered by Michigan Crematory and Funeral Services. Beginning with Joel, the transport specialist who picked up my Mother from our home promptly after her death. He was so understanding and gracious. Then there was the Funeral Director, Megan, who took great care ensuring that my Mother’s wishes were completely fulfilled. Megan made me feel like I was a member of her own family, rather than a client. Her sensitivity and professionalism made it so much easier for me during this difficult time. I am so very thankful for their services.L. Candice Proctor
Our family was very pleased on how MI Cremation handled the death of a family member, even though he had recently moved to Flint for nursing home care of Covid 19. Everyone we talked to was very polite and helpful. It all went smoothly and safe. The staff there were all very caring people. We would definitely recommend them.
I worked with Brent and his wife by phone, as I live out of state. Brents comforting voice and reassuring words meant more than I can say. Twice, I heard the words, Your brother is in our care. Brent guided me and answered all of my questions. He called to inform me as he said he would. Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care takes pride in managing the care and benefits of Veterans for their families, and rightfully so. Thank you for your comforting support.
From the man who picked up my father who demonstrated so much patience, kindness, and respect to the customer service I have received throughout this entire process, it would be impossible to ask for better customer service, compassion, or assistance. Charlene is truly a silver lining to a horrible experience.
We had two family members pass this year and we used Michigan Cremation for both. I was not sure what to expect, a bit leery of being up-sold. I was instead relieved and impressed. Megan served us with respect, kindness and knowledge. I was not “sold” anything but patiently assisted in making all the necessary arrangements. Everything went seamlessly. No drama no problems just respect and care. I’m grateful to you. Thank you.
I had my fathers service at Michigan Cremation Services. Brent and all the staff were fantastic and easy to work with. They made a very rough time in my life much smoother. Please check these people out, you wont be sorry you did.
MCFC was the third funeral home I reached out to. I wanted to find a funeral home I was comfortable with and MCFC did that. I worked with Meghan, she was so kind. Meghan did not rush us to make decisions, walked us through the whole process and answered all of our questions thoughtfully. The interior of the building was welcoming. It smelled of brewing coffee. After losing my husband, being in a fragile state of mind, I am so happy I choose to work with MCFC.
During a most difficult time Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care staff were just simply the best. They were kind knowledgeable and experienced. They spoke clearly and sensitively. Always made us feel comfortable that caring for our mother was a priority. I just can’t say enough about the staff and their process. The work they did made it possible for us to focus on our family.
This is the second time I have used Michigan Cremation Services. They are extremely helpful and compassionate. They provide a great service. The staff are amazing and a pleasure to work with.
This was my first time making arrangements for someone. I was terrified in the beginning, but after speaking and getting help from Brittany I feel so much better. Brittany has answered ALL of my questions, is very helpful, and has been very prompt with her responses. Brittany thank you for all your help during our difficult time.
Thank you to Meghan and Rob for listening to my familys concerns with compassion and for making an otherwise difficult time less stressful. You put our minds at ease and let us honor our mother with dignity.
Michigan Cremation and Funeral Care was amazing during a very difficult time. I had never been through this process before and they walked me through everything and answered all of my questions and just made everything as easy as possible. I was treated with the utmost respect as was my mother, and ultimately, her remains. I could not have asked for more or better service
This organization handled the cremations for both of my parents. I had planned to prearrange my own cremation through them, but will probably go with a different organization. The actual cremation was nicely done, but that is subcontracted to Muskegon. The bodies were picked up promptly, also subcontracted to an off-duty EMT.That leaves the paperwork and communication, which led to several frustrations at difficult times.First, I had submitted the vital information on both parents in advance, but when the deaths occurred, the person taking the call had no access to that paperwork, leaving me scrambling to find Social Security numbers etc. with the body still in the house. (This was made worse by the fact that only the hospice nurse could talk to them. I could not speak to them directly on the phone, so all spellings and information had to be hollered to the nurse and then repeated to the office. All of that could have been avoided if their personnel had after-hours access to the original paperwork or computer entry.)Then I ordered a headstone and had to fill out veterans paperwork at the monument company, only to discover that the funeral home already had those forms filled out but had not informed me.Finally, we had the ashes interred, and the paperwork for that was absolutely illegible. The funeral home blamed it on multiple FAXes and said they could not correct it because they did not have access to the original. (None of the FAXes were to or from me.)Looking for a lower-stress option. If you go through this company, submit the vital information in advance, but KEEP A COPY FOR YOURSELF so you can hand it to the nurse at time of death. (And keep an eye on the nurse to see what she lists as the cause of death. The nurses often just put something like COPD even if its wrong.) Good luck!
Definitely 5 stars! Brent was amazing to work with during this difficult time. He was very efficient, and helped us tremendously when we were so lost. Thank you Brent and MI Cremation! I would recommend them 1000 times over.
When my mother passed away I called Michigan cremation and was assured everything would be taken care of. Living 200 miles away they were able to complete all the paperwork via fax and email which was extremely helpful. I selected a wooden urn alond with copies of the death certificate and was told I could simply call ahead on the weekend to pick everything up. When I called I was first asked to come back a different weekend. They were able to send someone out but I was told that I never selected an urn so I received her remains in a cardboard box. When I asked about the death certificates I had requested I was told I had only paid $998 and anything else would have cost more. Extremely unprofessional and a complete lack of compassion.
When they arrived at the house to pick up my husband there was only one guy. He couldn’t get him to the car without me helping get him down the steps. His sister was appalled to say the least. You’d think they would have asked when they called that morning.Reading the pamphlet later it stated it was an additional $100.00 to send a second person. So seems to me I should be paid $100.00 for providing the service. Very tacky!
In such difficult times with the passing of a loved one it is good to know there are caring and professional people who can handle end of life decisions. The entire staff was helpful and easy to work with and at a price that was very reasonable.
You were very kind and understanding when we visited you. When we used your service, you seem like a member of our family, very understanding and helpful! At this sad time in our human lives you also were less expensive.
Meghan walked us through everything, was very attentive and personable. Thanks for everything!
From driving a long distance in the middle of the coldest night to handling difficult family situations, everything was handled professionally and compassionately. Special thanks to Meghan.
