We love the Epoque! It is one of the most beautiful places you could ever hope to reside in. Nestled at the base of Goldens foothills, it offers amazing views at every turn. The common areas are beautiful and the individual apartments are stunning. The staff are awesome and gracious. They plan regular events so you can get to know your neighbors. I cant say enough about this hidden gem!

This is a beautiful facility but they sell you on a lifestyle and then dont deliver. Their onsite management team is a joke. $$$$$ rent WAY TOO HIGH for mediocre apartment and rotten customer service.

My boyfriend and I were house hunting and nearing the end of our lease with no luck in the housing market. I began the application process for an apartment at Epoque and had the best experience as a potential renter. We ended up having an offer excepted right before signing the lease with Epoque, but the Epoque team was very responsive and friendly! They were such a pleasure to work with and seem to care about the tenants deeply. They help out their new renters with a lower security deposit and they have so much to offer! We would have loved being a part of this community if we didnt find a house in time!

Epoque GoldenI moved to Epoque Golden for the promised amenities of free beer on tap, coffee 24/7, and the safety from the crazy city life of Denver. That has not been the case at all. I also moved here because my previous apartment had flooding issues that could not be resolved. My first day here, I was greeted at the door by a plumber stating he was here to fix a plumbing issue and would ultimately be cutting into my drywall to fix it. What upset me the most was not the fact I had just lived through 3 weeks of plumbing issues but that management did not approach me first about it. They knew my move in date and did say a word about it. The plumbing issue has been resolved and the drywall repaired but my paint still has gone untouched. Side note, the maintenance team told me they don’t know what paint was used and haven’t had time to research it, I’ve been here a month now.Something that totally sold me on this place was the luxury of free beer on tap. Since I have moved in all THREE of the taps have been broken. I have asked management THREE times when they might be fixed with no ETA. Rumor has it that they ordered new taps, but I find it ironic that all THREE taps are broken and THREE kegs connected to them are empty. I think they just don’t want to pay for it anymore. The 24/7 coffee machine works at times and occasionally there are cups available.We were informed before moving here that the prices were high to rent but with that one would expect a better quality of living. I will say the building entrances are secure and I love the enclosed garage but I never in my wildest dreams expect my fiancé to be assaulted in the garage by another tenant. A 50+ year old woman hit my fiancé in the head with a closed fist because she didn’t like where he was parking his motorcycle. I must mention that there is large geriatric population living here and if she had decided to be upset with one of them, this might not have been the same outcome. All that has been done about it is kick her out of garage. She lives one floor away from us, we don’t feel safe with her here, and frankly I can’t believe they would tolerate and let someone with anger issues reside here. We have asked management repetitively for the footage with no response, along with several other things (i.e.package concierge setup, resolution of beer taps).Overall, for the increase in price you don’t get anymore luxuries than somewhere else (because nothing works) and your safety isn’t anymore guaranteed than if you lived downtown Denver. I do not recommend renting here.

Epoque Golden is a beautiful, well-appointed multifamily complex in the foothills of the rockies in Golden. Its location and amenities get it to two stars, but that is where it stops shining. On our walk-through, the property sold us on free, rotating beer taps and other amenities. Since we moved in, none of the taps have worked. While this seems petty, it was something we expected to receive as residents. Last weekend, I was assaulted and battered by another resident in the parking garage of Epoque over a parking spot, for which I am pursuing charges against that resident. Epoques response was a sincere apology but that they will not provide me any documents or information, including the video footage, citing some unknown, un-shown policy. Epoque also refuses to provide the attackers name so that I can formalize my restraining order with Jefferson County. Furthermore, to my knowledge, theyre letting the resident remain here through the end of the month instead of taking any steps toward an emergency eviction following a person-level criminal act against an Epoque resident. The attacker is clearly dangerous and unpredictable. Im deeply bothered by Epoques cavalier response to an incident that required six officers and ended in a non-custodial arrest of the attacker. We are at the start of our lease here and hopefully our experiences will improve, but I cannot recommend Epoque to anyone at the present.

I have now lived at EPOQUE Golden for over 6 months and the first time I have called an apartment my primary residence since the early 70’s. I can only say that this is one of the best moves I have made. The facility is very well done. High quality equipment in the gym, a very welcoming common room with very good capabilities for meetings and meals plus a great pool area. Most of all the management and staff are excellent. Very friendly, responsive and knowledgeable.

Incredible location in Golden with access to trails and downtown activities. The on-site team is efficient, friendly, and always helpful with any requests or issues.

Update three months in: The only thing luxury at this point is the price tag, outside of that it’s your generic terribly-run rental complex. The sales pitch is amazing but the follow-through for actually living here is nonexistent. From a failing HVAC unit for our rental - that the property management has been unable and now unwilling to fix for the last two months - to the ever present budget cut excuses, this property is a joke. Do yourself a favor and find a different building, we sure wish we had.May 2021: We recently moved to Epoque Golden after selling our condo in downtown Denver. We wanted to try out Golden prior to purchasing but didnt want to live in your standard builder grade apartments, Epoque ended up being the perfect solution. The quality of the amenities and overall apartment finishes are hard to beat and the staff and location are fantastic.

If you are planning a relocation, and looking for temporary living arrangements;beware if your plans change that your holding fee will not be reimbursed and only applied to your security deposit. No bathtubs included. This was not explained clearly to me. I was denied it after my plans changed. Take advantage of no locals.

We unfortunately only get to spend a short time living here, but so far everything is great! The grounds are well maintained, and there is a great system of walking trails nearby perfect for dog walks.The amenities are all top of the line (the dog washing station is especially useful), and kept responsibly available through the COVID-19 pandemic. The residents are all lovely, friendly people, and the staff members are very helpful and welcoming. Everything in our apartment is brand new, so maintenance has only had to come once, but when they did they were very friendly, arrived within an hour of the request, and were able to fix the problem in under 30 seconds. This is a wonderful place to live and we sure will miss it!

What a great community. Everything from setting up to view the property, signing a lease, moving in and the events held, Epoque continues to be the best decision we made. They focus on cleanliness of amenities and service that is customized to each resident.

We moved in August 27 and though its been a short time we love our new digs. The view and amenities are great. The staff will bend over backwards to help however they can.

The management and maintenance crews constantly change and they dont know how to keep records from previous management crews. The disorganization creates a variety of problems.

Beautiful views of the mountains and a short drive to golden gate canyon state park and north table mountain park with plenty of tails to walk with your pup or your loved ones. Great amenities in the building and a wonderful staff on hand to make your stay very enjoyable. Mary and Brandon are top notch and always willing to help out when called or emailed. We love it.

I have loved living here in this beautiful building with its lovely outdoor environment. My apartment is quiet and peaceful with views of the surrounding mountains. The staff is super helpful and friendly and offer many amenities even in this time of social distancing. I have also enjoyed meeting other tenants.

My parents moved into Epoque a few months ago and they are absolutely loving the experience. They really like how close they are to downtown Golden and a short drive to the mountains. Beautiful great room and bbq area right outside with a spectacular view. Covered parking is ideal to avoid those pesky hail storms and fresh coffee and tea in the morning is a great perk for dad who likes to sit outside and read the morning paper. Staff is warm and helpful and always eager to resolve problems right away. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice quiet luxury apartment that feels like home!

Attentive staff. Lovely to my parents and exceptionally patient. It is very luxurious. Also safe modern and high tech. The views are incredible.So I see the poor reviews are not actually from tenants. Who can each feel free to pay any rate they like. But I assure you...a view is priceless. And I know for a fact..you get what you pay for. It was a lovely experience just looking around.

This luxury apartment isnt quite luxury. Noticed dirt on apartment doors, some doors have chipped paint and hallway carpets looked dirty with dog paw prints. The grass has not been cut and there are bare, muddy spots surrounding the front of the building.Windows in the apartments dont open except for a couple in the bedroom. Then only open a few inches. Wonder how hot it would be in some of the south facing apartments.Appliances seem low end not luxury quality. Some apartment doors look like they dont close properly.Hwy 93 traffic noise is very noticeable.Doesnt seem like its worth the money.

Recently moved into an apartment at Epoque Golden. It is difficult for me to find criticism. My apartment was spotless on move in. I moved from out of state and signed a lease sight unseen. Definitely a risky move but I couldn’t be happier with my choice.Ms. Mary (manager) at the front office has done a really outstanding job of keeping the stress of moving to a minimum! She has been extremely helpful, whenever I have a question or concern.Surely Epoque Golden will come with some drawbacks (as will any apartment community) but the positives far outweigh the negatives for me.

Not particularly dog friendly. There is no decent grass. Ive met some great residents but everyday I hear of someone moving out. Hate the architecture and style of landscaping but that is my taste. The best thing about this place is that it is near my son and his family.Response to the owner response: I was hopeful, but this management is long gone. The new group seems uninterested in the landsacaping.

The building is on a busy highway and doesnt fit the Colorado feel. Its build cheaply, another reviewer called it inferior. It’s as if the architect and builder didn’t spend anytime in Golden or Colorado and just didnt care. Things are constantly breaking. They lied about the “heated” pool and other amenities. Also plan to pay extra for parking, storage and pets. YOU COULD RENT A HOUSE WITH A YARD FOR WHAT THEY ARE CHARGING.

So far working with the team has been great. The only reason giving 4 stars is because we are not moved in as of yet. But in terms of pre-construction flexibility on terms, price, choice of location in the building, etc. we couldnt be more pleased. We are looking forward to moving in July and hope that the building matches the collateral and the team that has been helping us along the way!

Design and quality of construction are inferior. Rent is expensive and does not include utilities, parking, pets or storage units. Four months since opening and dealing with second property management company.May 30, 2020 update. Dogs off leash inside and outside on property is a major problem here. My wife was attacked inside the first floor main lobby area by a dog off leash. Management said “it’s one person’s word against another resident and to take photos of other residents and dogs when this is happening.” Management cannot get a handle on continued bad behavior here.

Way overpriced. You can rent a house or own one for the rental price offered.
