I had an absolutely horrendous time moving into these apartments. The day I moved in neither of my tubs would drain because they were clogged. I had a leak that they couldnt find for a month or two. But they were always trying to make things right, and after they found and fixed the leak things got sooo much better. The community at the dog park is absolutely amazing. If anything in your apartment ever breaks they will come and fix it at no charge from what Ive experienced. The staff is always friendly almost to a fault. I got very upset about a leak and them not being able to find it, but they stay consistently kind and courteous with me. When it comes down to it I honestly couldnt ask for a better place to live....if only I could afford it haha
This is by far the best apartment complex Ive ever had the privilege of living in! Beautiful spaces, walking distance from South Mesa and stores (you can even hike to downtown golden if you think you can handle it!), and the staff has been very courteous. Shout out to Kristina Bruce whos always updating the community on inclement weather, community notices, and food truck Thursdays!
They make you feel like they care about you as a tenant but continue to increase the rent so high that they chase the good tenants out. Definitely look into the major construction that is happening around the community and near NREL. The management changes over continuously so do expect an “it’s with a heavy heart that I depart” ridiculous email. Over the top prices too. It’s sad what is happening to this area but it’s important to know that Camden does not care about you so expect to move within a year. They are really bad at giving notice for invading your privacy in your home and many projects too so expect to be bothered constantly. I gave them many chances but this is my last time I’ll ever rent from them again. They are just like all the other price gauging communities out there but according to them “ Camden Cares”. They don’t.
I have lived at the Camden Denver West apartment homes for for more than 3 years time and it has been excellent service and responsiveness from the rental staff and the services crew. Te neighborhood is safe and the neighbors are friendly. If you are thinking of living in the Denver West area, Camden Denver Weast is a great choice! Regards, Michael W
Adam, Camden Denver West’s maintenance guy was absolutely amazing. He came in within a short hour of our maintenance concern on a Sunday, ready to go with a smile on his face!My 5 year old is a chatter box and he was able to do his work in a timely professional manner while having a fun friendly conversation with her.He was so sweet and kind, We really enjoyed having him in our home while he was working so hard and efficient!Adam was able to fix the problem with wonder quality and professionalism in a timely manner.Thank you Adam for taking care of us on such short notice.Apartment 911Amanda, Daniel and Little Emma Jane
Ive had a great experience at Camden Denver West. Location is great, close to Denver, close to get to the mountains, access to trails at South Table Mountain, service is responsive and quick!
They got me all set up relatively quick when I needed a new place to live in a hurry. Front desk associates were welcoming and friendly. I certainly feel welcome in my new home and so do my pets. :-)
Loved living here! Quiet and safe neighborhood. Maintenance crew was top notch and the rest of the staff was friendly and responsive. Walls are thick, noise is minimal. Parking is getting tighter, but theres always street parking by the leasing office. It was never an issue for us. Only reason I moved was because my girlfriend is commuting to Aurora, and it was just too far. Wish I could have stayed! Only minor complaint is rent increase year over year was higher than I thought was reasonable (personal experience and seen in other reviews). In the end though, it was still a great price for what we got in return. Just keep that in mind when budgeting to live here. If you can afford to live here, do it.
They are the most kindest, hardest working staff youll ever meet! They will bend over backwards to get the home of your dreams! They have been so patient with me while I get all of my ducks in a row. The first time you lay your eyes on those homes, youll fall in love and instantly call Camden Denver West your new home. What more can you ask for? Its the perfect location to everything with a gorgeous view!So stop apartment hunting and start home hunting at Camden Denver West! Keep up the great work team and I cant wait to see you all soon! ❤️ Thank you so much!
If youre transitioning from a dorm to apartment living, this is a great place. But as two high earning adults, we felt micro managed day in and day out. It felt like my mom was looking over my shoulder, getting ready to scold me for putting my trash out 5 minutes early. Beautiful location but not worth the headache.
I love living here! Sara is amazing. She always takes the time to answer all of my questions and she’s very friendly. My move in experience was seamless. I was paying my movers by the hour and Summer had my keys and paperwork ready to go when I arrived. The apartment looked great - very clean and no maintenance issues. They had a lovely package for me on my kitchen counter when I arrived. I’ve never had such a great move in experience. The location is perfect and the community is very well kept and quiet.
Great place to live! I have been here almost 8 years. The location is wonderful, but it is the staff that makes the place. They have always been receptive and responsive. Last but not least, they accept large dogs! I highly recommend living here.
Absolutely love my home here at Camden. My boyfriend and I have moved from Littleton, CO where we experienced the worst in our opinion of an apartment management company. I have encountered several members of the Camden team whom all genuinely serve to ensure you live in a happy, comfortable and safe place. We have received a gift from the staff here out of the blue (water bottle which is my favorite) and we also received a courtesy call to check in. I was actually a bit frustrated with the appearance of the shower because the caulking needed to be re-done. Life gets in the way and sometimes you just don’t have time to make that call. I was so happy I got that call (again out of the blue) and it was such an easy fix. I’ve never received a courtesy check in call before. Most importantly parking is not an issue there is ample parking spots and they don’t boot your car or tow cars like other places I’ve been at. There has been some car break ins which can happen anywhere. But Instead of just saying hey make sure to not leave your keys in the car they have actually increased police patrols around the complex. Again they make the effort to make this a great place for everyone that wants to be here. You pay for what you get. The place is very clean, I have not had any issues with neighbors.
Camden Denver West felt like home from the first day I visited for a tour. I worked primarily with Samar, and she was always very prompt, professional, and kind in her emails, and she answered all of my questions. The same goes for the entire Camden Denver West team! Moving day was great - I was expecting to have to spend half a day cleaning the apartment, but there was nothing dirty to be found! The carpets were in great shape; the baseboards, walls, and doors were totally clean; and the appliances looked like new. Also, Samar left a welcome package with move-in essentials, which was so kind. I really love this apartment. It is outside the city with good access to highways and stores, and it is surrounded by great hiking, biking, and running trails. Im very happy to call this place home.
We have lived at Camden Denver West now for a month and a half, and everything so far has been great! Some of our favorite things have been all of the green space and mature trees, direct access to South Table Mesa trails and nearby parks, as well as the pool! We have also been pleasantly surprised at how quiet it is in the complex. Reagon and staff have been great, and have really made the transition easy for us.The unit itself is large and comfortable. We love the size of our patio and spend a lot of time out there with the pups. We are looking forward to using the fireplace here soon! Overall, we are happy to be here and are looking forward to attending the community events.
This place was a wonderful home to us our first 3 years in Denver. The location is perfect. Hiking on the South Table Mountain is amazing. The staff is phenomenal - always friendly, responsive and willing to help. Loved our time here!
Pros- having the table mountain right next to you is awesome. Close to wildlife and a simple, but nice hike. Points for location. Fairly quiet. Nice floorplans.Cons- price for what you get. Apartments are nice but a bit older, and not true luxury. Yet charge what brand new properties with more amenities, and nicer grounds do. Second biggest complaint - computers price that rate. Third complaint - computers price that depending on demand. Single bedroom Apartments occupancy is down 10% in the area. Yet rent is higher than last year. Prices go up no matter what in reality. On that note, they quoted me the wrong apartment # when I moved in. Well, prices on the right one literally went up $100 overnight. In essence their mistaken quote helped trigger prices to go up overnight. I was then stuck paying the higher price less than 24 hrs later. Camden refused to correct the mistake retroactively and I was out of time before having to leave town and had to agree. Computers calling the shot, accidental human error helping get things wrong as prices increase.Crime - Location is beautiful, but the area itself isnt great. Breakins of parked cars and storage units is extremely high. Gates, cameras, security patrol are non existent here. Theres also county jail right next door.Community can feel micro managed. If you dont follow community guidelines, you are nagged and nannied. Constant friendly calls to check in when they need something from you, yet they dont even have enough staff on site to answer phones. Youll usually end up talking to the offsite call center, or leaving a message. Wait times to even talk to the off site call center are EXTENSIVE. Emails blasted out to remind you of rules and guidelines that staff can be seen breaking themselves at times.I could list more but just one. Plan for rent to be $175-200 more than the quote after fees etc. You will be forced into a bundled cable/internet/phone package with Comcast as well as front door trash service. There is no opting out. Youll also pay your water separately, but to them.Very corporate, lacking some humanity. Montrachet across the street costs a little more, but its much less corporate and higher class, nicer grounds. If you look up Camden it turns out they are one of the largest property management holders in the world. Staff turns over a LOT, we dont blame them for the most part. But youre largely just a number. Please dont leave your standard give us a call and let us make this right reply to my comment. Instead, please answer here before potential new customers of yours. Why are computer algorithms not lowering rental prices on one bedrooms if the occupancy is down? Why is a security guard, patrol, gate, and or cameras not in play at a complex with sky high rates? Why are you partnered with and forcing customers to buy unwanted services from Comcast? Etc. Nothing changes, nothing.Update - So, as you can see from their response they literally answered NONE of the questions posed because they have no good excuse. As a result, Im lowering their score yet again. The one subject they addressed without addressing the question - being similar to others doesnt mean you are good. It just means youre another bloated corporate bully in the crowd. Thats how it works when mega property corporations buy up all the complexes and start manipulating the market. Once again f,or the record, Montrachet across the street does NOT price this way either. It was interesting to discuss things with them over there.
I have visited my daughter who works in the office at Camden Denver West on several occasions. The property has always looked clean and well maintained. The location of the community is easily accessible from I-70 which makes getting there very easy. While the community is near the highway you do not notice it once you are in the community. Her apartment was recently renovated and has an attached garage - you can;t beat that! Camden Denver West also has great views.
Amazing, well maintained and quiet community. Newly renovated apts (and they didn’t skimp on the finishes), attached garages, nice amenities, easy access to I-70 and shopping, and an ultra friendly and responsive management and maintenance team. I mean immediate response...and they really care. You won’t find that in too many if any apt communities in the Denver Metro area. Rents are high in the Golden area-that’s the only negative thing I could possibly say about this community.
Ive lived with Camden for over 8 years of which the last 4 have been here at Denver West. The property is beautiful with lots of green space. Whenever I have any issues, the maintenance team resolves it immediately. The staff is very friendly, and is always doing something for their residents. Extremely pet friendly. I enjoy living here immensely!
This is a convenient place if you do not have time to look further. Just know that the rent will start on average at 2000$ for one bedroom and will increase by 50-100 dollars every year, just because they can.
The staff here is phenomenal! Most recently, Reagan in the leasing office really stepped up and went above and beyond to help me out with an issue I had. Very pleased!
Been living here for nearly a year. The office staff is nice, though they rotate a bit. Its a little pricey, but ya get what ya pay for. Location is amazing.the maintenance staff is where its at!RUSS E. runs a great crew. Ive had a couple of problems and he is ON IT. And then - No Problems! No Noisy neighbors at all. One issues once. Only once.
Camden Denver West has been my home for almost a dozen years now, and for very good reason(s) They score a 10 on the top priorities of quality accommodations, amenities, location and management team. Living on the perimeter of Denver Metros Foothills with immediate access to Colorados Rocky Mountains for off-the-chart fun and activities (skiing the slopes in half hour, or bike/hike right out your door!!!) with the added BONUS of incredibly easy access to Downtown Denver (20 minutes!!) for business, culture, professional sports, wonderful dining and nightlife, ease of driving or safe on efficient public transportation just steps away, lends strength to the fact of Camden Denver Wests position as one of Denver areas premier properties. The Denver West area also affords many major retail businesses, restaurants, theaters and groceries to fit all tastes and budgets. Medical clinics/professionals, 2 hospitals, fire district and schools, all close, all top rated. Having historic Red Rocks Amphitheater, Americas #1 rated music/entertainment venue (and one hell of a workout facility all other times) in our own backyard providing world class artist is just another feather-in-the-cap for those of us living here. My personal experience with the management at this property is top-flight! Personable, caring professionals is how I would describe them. They run our community with precision, yet with a likable touch akin to living in our own small town. In the warmer months they organize food trucks, beverages and other events practically every week (weather permitting). Its similar to our own block party, and the quality of these diverse food trucks is really quite good. Anytime you drop by the office, theres always a warm greeting, and many times youll find little goodies like coffee, pastries, treats for you and your pup plus more. The units are modern, the property is clean, extremely safe and well maintained. The custodial crew is spot-on efficient. If you have an issue or request, they are there immediately to address the situation. All in all, I couldnt be more satisfied living @ Camden Denver West. Ive clearly backed this statement by renewing every time the new contract date approaches.
Leasing was super straight forward. Leasing agent was super pro - none of the “straight out of college attitude”. Super dialed, informed, and made good use of our time, which is always appreciated. Paying rent is super easy, they even canceled a late fee when I screwed up the auto pay system the first month. Getting service is easy and getting hold of staff is super easy. Admin and service staff are both polite and helpful. The place is quiet, we rarely hear neighbors, and there’s plenty of good hiking, mountain biking and dog walking right out the door.UPDATE: Apartment complex living is a direct reflection of management. Apparently there was a rough patch this winter, but as of the spring things are back to being solid with a good team in the office - thankful for this.
I’ve been living at Camden for 3 months now and have had nothing but wonderful experiences! The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They quickly respond to any concerns and follow up to ensure satisfaction. The complex also promotes a community environment by hosting events such as food trucks in the summer and holiday parties. I’m very glad with my decision to choose Camden Denver West as my home in Colorado!
We have lived here for over a year and have had very few issues. The management staff have always been very friendly and helpful. They have even started bringing food trucks into the community every now and then which provides a great dinner option during the week. The newly renovated apartments have some great touches. Our ceilings do creak when our upstairs neighbors are moving around, so make sure to get a top floor apartment if that is an issue for you. The location of the apartment complex is the best with great hiking/biking right out your door and easy access to a lot of other amenities. There is a pool, hot tub, and gym that are all bonuses. If youre in the apartment rental market, I would recommend checking out Camden Denver West.Update: Lowering my rating to 4 stars as there have been a couple issues this summer. There has been some kind of construction going on pretty much since we moved in. I appreciate the upgrades/renovations, but it feels like weve been living in a construction zone for many months. The contractors that they hire tend to leave a mess, so it really becomes an issue, especially when communication from staff on these projects has been limited and somewhat inaccurate. Also, there have been several fairly serious reported safety issues that have not been addressed in a timely matter.
Ive lived at Camden Denver West for almost a year and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an apartment. The leasing office staff is so friendly and accommodating. They have events and food trucks often and really make you feel like your part of the community. Last week they had Resident Appreciation Day where they handed out breakfast in the morning, snacks in the afternoon, and then had a food truck come out and supplied free beer and wine. They even offered complimentary car detailing! They are seriously awesome here. Not to mention they have an incredible location. There is literally a trail right out my door up South Table Top Mountain. If youre skeptical about this place, come check it out and see for yourself!
Apt staff is great! Lived here over a year and they strive to make it feel like a tight nit community. Sara, Amy and Brandon do a fantastic job of keeping everything in tip top shape around the entire complex.
I have to imagine most people dont review their apartment complex unless they have a negative experience. Take most of the reviews with a grain of salt. We have lived here for two months now, and are very satisfied! Our unit was just remodeled and maintenance has been very prompt addressing anything that needed attention. The complex is very quiet, and the location is great too. I especially like the walking trails up the table top. I would definitely recommend Camden, particularly this location.
Nice place to live. Apartments are kept up-to-date with remodels and maintenance. Additional parking is an issue though, do not expect guest parking or 2nd resident parking as most have a 1 car garage and everything else is constantly full. They do a good job at keeping the grounds clean.
The apartments are clean, calm and spacious. The office staff, is always really helpful and accommodating (thank you to Sara). Even though Camden is a big company the service feels personal. My experience for a short term lease has been great for the moment. The only negative point for me would be the price of the obligatory internet package that comes with TV etc.
My friend and I visited several apartment locations searching for a new place to live that would match our needs. We visited many and met many more leasing agents in many locations. I felt I must write a review on this apartment complex, because we were sincerely impressed by how spacious the floor plans are, how well kept the property was, and by the leasing agent costumer service on this location. The gym particularly, was exceptionally clean and refreshed. The Community Manager that had welcomed us at then, Jamie, was the most professional, polite, respectful, knowledgeable, warm and pleasant leasing agent out of all the locations we had visited. Truly it was an unmatchable great experience to speak with her. A welcoming like that one makes a whole lot of difference and the residence community itself looks beautiful, classy and neat.
We have just been at Camden for a couple of months but, we love the complex and apartment. The maintenance (Nick) have been fantastic and Sarah and staff have are so helpful. Thanks for making us feel so welcome. What a great place.
Lived here on 2 separate occasion totaling three years. When I first moved in 6 years ago rent was $950. Now it’s $1800 for the same one bedroom layout. I understand that’s a product of influx of people and demand but wow! & that’s just the start of it.Always having “construction or updates” done to the complex leaving parking a disaster and loud equipment early in the mornings. Along with needing to get 4 of my tires replaced due to nails and other construction debris. And just recently I had a vehicle of mine towed from the parking lot. They knew it was mine because I documented it on the lease when we moved in. A heads up would have been nice from the people collecting tens of thousands of dollars from me.Also a huge lack of privacy and communication from the maintenance and office staff. My wife works night shift and I’m gone during the day. Despite our efforts to notify maintenance staff of this and not have them enter our apartment while my wife is sleeping, they do so anyways. We also have a dog, and thankfully for them he’s a nice one.All in all it was ok in the my first year here but has degenerated quickly. If your looking here look into Montrachet instead.
Camden is in a great location with friendly staff and neighbors. Couldn’t be happier with the service, facilities, and community activities. It’s a great place to call home.
This apartment complex is great. People are extremely friendly from the office staff to maintenance staff. Amenities are great! Very dog friendly. Great place to live.
My daughter recently moved out to her new home after a years lease here and her experience was one of comfort, tranquility and very good management and maintenance exchanges. I have been a very satisfied resident for almost 7 years (that is the reason she lived here) and I continue to find lovely surroundings, great landscaping and amenities (pool, exercise room, access to computer and fax, community gatherings, bike and hiking trails, no traffic or noise problems, etc.) and the management and maintenance personnel are very accessible, friendly, efficient and react quickly to any concerns my daughter and I may have had. I am then, writing this review both for her and for me to reiterate my continued support and approval of this great community. Thank you.
We moved into new apartment in January. Staff very friendly & gets the job done. Love the food trucks. Updates are amazing! Fun birthday in clubhouse with family. Amazing mountain view. Recommend to everyone.Drew & Debbie Jaggers
Wonderful complex! I love the easy access to 20mi of trails on the S Table Mountain. There is a trailhead about 100yd from my door. Theres a dog park. The employees are nice. Everyone seems to love it here. I think reviews tend to be left by those that are difficult and hard to make happy. Lots of space, natural light, a garage, pet friendly, and more. Best apartment Ive had!
Camden Denver West is very beautiful, family oriented community. They are also very dog friendly, just implementing a dog park where neighbors can get to know each other while their furry family members play together. I enjoy living in the Camden community.
If you respect your intelligence, youd better go live somewhere else. Living there is a true rip-off; the low-level management, showing no customer service knowledge, and they are just playing on the card of the favorable (to them) housing market! Do yourself a favor and just read the comments below that are really speaking about this community, especially about the management. No, Im not talking about the reviews where some people praise the Camden, because Ive lived there much longer than any one of those reviewers. Its all about cosmetics. So do yourself another favor - walk across the street to find a much better community - Montrachet or the newly built community just downhill of the Montrachet. Dont even think about Camden!
This place is truly amazing! There slogan holds true in every aspect of living him, Life is a staycation. We moved here, apartment unseen, except for the photos Sara had sent to us. She was super friendly throughout the process, but when moving across the country...its a bit nerve-wracking! Needless to say it has been an amazing transition to live here. From the hiking in our backyard, the pool, the hot tub, gym, maintenance team, and the get-togethers the group hosts...it makes for a wonderful community!I will never forget that first time opening our door and walking into our apartment. I was thinking Oh boy, please be nice, please be nice!!!” And then looking at my mother in law and almost started crying at how beautiful the interior was. Thank goodness! All the apartments are being updated as people move in and are stunning!I would highly recommend living here and working with the amazing staff that they have on site.Thank you Sara and team for a wonderful experience!
Such an easy move in process. Great communication. We love our new home!
Moved in few month agoNice place with good neighbors and very friendly staff especially Sara in office 👍
Camden has been great so far! Super friendly staff and good value. We love the year round hot tub!
Great service and fast responses to service requests. Its evident these are well-treated employees by their care and attention to the residents. Two thumbs up Camden Denver West**
I have been living here since July and it has been a nightmare. We immediately had to submit several service requests within minutes of entering our supposedly move in ready apartment. Then, the leak started. It has been an ongoing issue in our unit and another unit of the exact same format that is experiencing the exact same leak and it still has not been fixed, they have actually refused to fix it bc they cant find the cause of the issue. They have lied directly to us several times about what they have checked and everytime they do check things they check the same things over and over and then dont understand why they cant find the cause. Not sure how they expect something new when they dont check anything new and are lying about what they actually checked. We catch them in their lies bc we have had to talk to so many people that they have and havent told us.I have fallen twice in the grass area due to the pooling of water from sprinklers and they do not seem to think this is an issue. I am paying top dollar for an apartment that leaks all the time and they do not feel the need to adjust rent or provide any reimbursement. Our living and our work is constantly interrupted because of these issues. Leasing office staff has been rude. I called and got Sara to ask for my comcast account number. She said shed email it and when I said have a nice day she told me have a day-what does that mean?? Also, she didnt send the number, she sent a number but when comcast didnt recognize it we found out thats because no one at Camden has access to the units account numbers -so Im not sure why Sara wasted our time. Office manager Reagan has been awful with communication until this was escalated to her higher ups and it is still subpar.28 days in they offered us the 30 day guarantee to move out within 30 days with no penalty (other than losing the $500 we paid to apply and of course, a place to live) something they never brought up before. With only 48 hrs to decide we requested to discuss is with her boss. Her boss had conveniently called some random number that has never been associated with us or our file and blamed us for not picking up the phone. If you want to live in peace, keep looking for apartments. The other residents are great. - hence the 1 star on my review
We have found our first 10 months (which we hope will stay in for a long time) to be very pleasant. The new management has bent over backwards to try of answer requests and think ahead to avoid problems that a 20-year old complex experiences.Landscaping has suffered (dead trees, shrubs) BUT a plan is in place to remedy some of that. New procedures have anticipated and addressed things like dog poop, crowded parking lots and water pipes vulnerability to extreme cold. The maintenance crew is very responsive!YES, our rent went up but we have the quiet location, great views, nice people and adelightful apartment. It works for us!
Wasnt a bad place to live, but it seems its going downhill and management isnt the best. Also now its too expensive for what you get, in my opinion. Rent has climbed quickly.First, it felt like there was some kind of construction being done on or around my building for half of the 19 months I lived here. Whats particularly annoying is the management insists on doing it in the most piecemeal and repetitive fashion. Instead of just one month of inconvenience when all the repairs and renovations are done, first there will be a month of painting, then a month of roof repairs, then a week to replace all the lights, then a week replacing the windows, then renovations to the apartment next to yours when someone moves out, then another month replacing the roof (even though it had people on it for weeks less than a year ago), etc. Ive endured more construction living at this apartment in the past 19 months than the prior 8 years, to put things in perspective. Not sure how a complex as updated as Camden likes to claim this is requires such constant repairs...Second, Ive only had one problem that I tried to get management to intervene - newer tenants on my floor have been leaving their trash out all week and letting it rot in the hallways - and I havent seen anything done about it at all. The leasing agreement lays out fines and penalties for this stuff, but that was ignored. No follow-up whatsoever.Third, one of the latest proposals distributed to the tenants is a restriction on what tenants can and cant do, on top of what youd normally expect from an apartment (i.e., dont be a nuisance). This is a steaming pile of BS.Fourth, the apartment was cleaned well when I moved in, for the most part, but some parts of the washing machine were disgusting. So, Im moving. This was a nice community when I moved into it 19 months ago, but I feel like its going downhill pretty fast. Not going to miss the consistent construction, apathetic management, and worsening tenants. Prospective renters can anticipate frequent construction, relatively steep rent increases, and management thats friendly but only seems to really care about the next construction project.
This apartment complex just jacked up their rent on our 1 bedroom apartment by 40%, and its literally becoming unaffordable. Hence we decided to move away. Another big reason is their degrading service on top of increased rent. On top of a high rent, they also bill residents water for landscaping. There are a lot of hidden fees. Parking is crowded. There is never enough parking space underneath our building. Hence there are always cars parked next to the curb. This was not an issue for the residents since none of them is blocking the traffic or preventing emergency vehicles to pass. The apartment complex signed contract with a new towing company that will patrol the neighborhood and tow cars parked inappropriately. This by itself is not too bad - except the leasing office never tell the resident where parking is not allowed (other than red curbed fire lanes). A few weeks after we delivered our move away notice to the leasing office our car got towed. It was nowhere near a fire lane or blocking traffic. It was parked at a spot lots of resident parked before when the assigned parking lot was fully occupied. There was no signs or communication prohibiting parking at that normal curb side. In general we are not too happy about our living experience at Camden Denver West. We will suggest future residents compare apartment options in the area before they decide to move here.
A rip off, stay away, and I mean AWAY. I lived in Camden Denver West for 5 years now. It all started really nice, but turned into a disaster. Apartments are a real crap inside, windows especially, they never work (for those who like to have their windows open). Be prepared to have large chunks of ice in the winter on the inner side of the balcony door. Ventilation systems is such that if you have a neighbor that smokes, and nowadays that includes marijuana, you will feel the smell in your apartment. When you complain they tell you they are not a smoke free community and that you should not be surprised if the smell of cooking and cigarettes penetrates from neighbors. Decided to break the lease as since recently I cannot provide the healthy air for my kids. They literarily sleep in tobacco and marijuana smoke. I am wondering is Camden breaking any laws by not providing a healthy environment for their tenants? Kitchen and appliances totally dated. Add to all of that the ever increasing rents and the fact that people that are already living get much worse deals for the renewal of their lease than the outsiders and you arrive to my opening sentence, A RIP OFF, STAY AWAY!!!
I was just looking up the offices phone number and thought Id leave a review since the google window was open.Ive been living at Camden Denver West for a year and a half and have only good things to say about it. The office staff have always been very friendly and I am on a first name basis with most of the office and maintenance staff. The complex is a little on the older side, but they have been doing a lot of work too update the units both interior and exterior. The office staff go out of their way to make the residents feel valued and appreciated. We have had food trucks coming by in the evenings, breakfast handed out on our way to work for resident appreciation day, and brand new equipment in the gym. There are a lot of older reviews on here that seem like they were pre-interior renovations in some cases and pre-current management in others. However, the current team and current state of the complex are top notch in my opinion.
I have lived here for only a short time, but I have enjoyed living here thus far. Really close to the Colorado Mills mall and trails, beautiful location. Dog park. Maintenence has been on top of any requests.
The staff is friendly, and the neighbors are fine. But the year round hottub has been down all of this year so far. And every morning I wake up to a generator right next to my ear at 9 in the morning. Ive addressed this issue and nothing has been done or accommodated for. Ive even asked the workers to place the generator 4 feet out from my bedroom so the noise wont shake my window, but I have to wake up every morning to move it myself. I also find diet coke bottles on my patio that I have to throw away since they dont clean up after themselves. Im glad Im moving next month. I just hope they dont find a way to put another hidden fee in for me posting this.
Whoever designed the apartment numbering system can go to hell. Other than tiny signage, some apartments are hidden in stairwells behind unmarked doors! Whoever chose this system should find other work.Edit:Back here again and notice this time that some of the apartments in the middle of the buildings on the second floor have signs and doors that face INWARD toward the courtyard, so you cannot see the apartment door or sign unless you get out of your car and walk up the stairs or into the center of the apartments lower level. Terrible dysfunctional choices.
Cant wait to get the hell out of here.
Management is terrible - they will enter your apartment without notice and leave the doors unlocked! My apartment constantly has spiders in it too...
The national company that owns this place really is starting to make it unlivable. First, they threw a bunch of hidden costs at us: Valet Trash that we didnt need, a cable package that we didnt want, exorbitant pet fees, etc. Then they decided to do construction for a month or so and store all the construction equipment in our parking lot, so we were without a place to park, then they had the audacity to raise our rent by 27%!! After only one year here!! Meanwhile all our neighbors roofs are leaking and damaging their property, and you find out soon that everything is SOO cheaply made here: appliances break often, then carpet is destroyed after 3 months of living, the doors are peeling, electric and gas bills are through the roof because the windows and building are so cheaply made, exercise equipment doesnt work.... Just know before you come here that the price you agree to in the office is nowhere near the price you will ultimately pay, and that though the staff is great and they do a great job making the place look nice for your first impression, the real situation leaves a lot to be desired.
Quiet, clean, friendly neighbors, maintenance staff always responsive and professional.
This is really just a great place to get to know the area. Dont plan on staying here after your lease is up. From what everyone tells me around here its going to go up a few hundred dollars. What is worse is you pay some ridiculous rent already and then they get you in and all the hidden fees come rolling in. They dont even pay water around here and just turn around and charge you a flat rate anyways. So really it should be included in the rent but its just another hidden fee. Also the quality of the apartment sucks. I went to Lowes to look at appliances the other day because I have been thinking about buying a house for the prices I am paying here seriously. You couldnt even find as cheaply made appliances there as they have in this place. They use HotPoint it looks like for every place here but they are the lowest end model you can purchase. I mean thank god water is a flat rate because I generally have to wash my dishes in the dishwasher twice, and trust me I already have the dish pretty much cleaned off before they even go in the first time. I might as well go back to hand washing. The fridge also is very cheap, the damn ledge broke from sitting a gallon of milk on it. For real?My opinion is this is a quick place to get a place but if you dont like moving like myself. Dont live here because once your lease it up, youre going to be jacked of your cash!To the company. You would probably make more money if you didnt force people out all the time. I wouldnt mind staying here because I love the location. But personally your cheaply made white suburbia ghetto can kiss my behind. I cant wait to move, so I dont feel like I am not being robbed. I guess you just like to remodel and waste money every time someone moves in and out. Also I would expect to pay $950 for this cheapo depot not almost $1,200 and due to the poor insulation in this place I pay almost $100 in energy.
Staff is friendly, location amazing
Here is the full story....I moved here to go to school, the layout was amazing, the neighborhood was beautiful, the views are second-to-none, and the attached garage is the best thing ever... but.......Within a month of moving in, the neighbors below us would constantly complain whenever I walked across my living room, and was told I would be receiving fines from the office if it diddnt stop. Really??? I cant simply walk across my living room without being fined? I dont think even North Korea is this bad!We had a pipe burst in our ceiling... it took MX over 2 weeks to show up to fix it.Their pool was nice, when it was open. The year and a half I lived there, the pool may have been open a collective 3 months... maybe.Their groundskeepers were absolutely crap. I had a chunk of plastic in the tree outside my window for the ENTIRE YEAR AND A HALF I was living there with absolutely no resolve. Even when I called to have it removed, it was ignored. There was some nosy tenant who lived near by who would complain, falsely, about what they said was on our patio, wich also led to harassment by the office with absolutely no followup to see if the allegations were true.when the lease was up, and I had to renew for a few months, they jacked the rent up by $550 a month because it was short term. This meant while I was a student was being forced to pay $1850 a month because I wasnt staying for another year.During my stay, I told the office never to come in without my being there because of my dog. I came in one day to find my front door open and nobody in the apartment. I had to get my dog from table mesa mountain (the trail next to the apartments) because some jerk mx person let themselves into my unit and let my dog out. Finally, the straw that broke the camels back is when I moved out, they hit me with over 2700 in charges for cleanup... Keep in mind, I hired some people to detail the apartment before I moved out, personally ovewsaw the whole thing, and kept recipts. When I called from out of state to ask about the charges, they said there was trash they had to remove. When I asked for pictures, they said, and I quote, Theyre in black and white and too large to send through email. EXCUSE ME??? Total insult to my intelligence.I would honestly rather eat 75 pounds of ghost peppers, drink 2 gallons of ex-lax, and burn my butt raw for a year before I would EVER consider living on another Camden property again after this. It is up to you if you decide to live here anyway, just dont say I diddnt warn you.
Professional and care to keep the property top notch.
I stayed here for a year and had a positive experience. This actually was my first time living in apartments, Ive heard numerous horror stories from others, but have to say that my experience was great. The only piece I didnt care for was the technology package which was not optional. With it I was supposed to get discounted Comcast and I wound up paying more than ever and for not so great internet speeds, especially at night and for some reason they have Spanish as the default callin for Comcast....Otherwise everything was good. The few issues I had that required maintenance were fixed very promptly and I never was put out by anything.I have already recommended Camden to several people.Camden - my major suggestion would be to drop the technology package, but I will not give less stars for that in the weight of all the things I had while living there, I would not lower the stars
DO NOT LIVE HERE.Its really as simple as that, so I recommend going across the street to the Montrachet as its more affordable and much nicer, and from what Ive heard, the staff and residents work hard to establish mutual trust and a sense of community. Camden is not a community, it is a corporate entity that will do everything and anything to nickel and dime you, including lying to you about what you will owe before you sign on and what you end up owing when you decide to move out. All the other reviews are accurate (except the guy who wrote about your car being stolen, but he sounds awesome, doesnt he?!); Camden is the Comcast of apartment complexes. They dont understand the concept of customer service on any level. They will raise rates for people who want to stay while offering someone off the street a deal you as an existing tenant cant get. I assume this is part of some strategy to take advantage of ridiculous rent rates in Denver at the moment, but one would expect someone at Camden corporate to have gone to business school and understand that it costs four times more to bring in a new customer than to retain an existing one. Its actually incredible to have been a part of such a shocking customer experience. In kinder, more empathetic moments I feel a little bad for the staff at Camden because after dealing with their corporate staff, it is clear that nickel and diming to get a slight increase in profit is systemic at this company. The staff likely want to be better as they seem like genuinely nice people, but cant due to the restrictions and goals placed on them. Here is my favorite story about this truly dreadful place. The grounds seem nice at first, but upon closer inspection you notice there is a serious rabbit problem with droppings covering nearly all of the property. Thats actually not a huge issue given the location and its what one might expect, but Camden saw the bigger problem being dog droppings, which are there, but not everywhere. Instead of a rational approach, which might entail hiring a company to clean up both rabbit and dog droppings, Camden decided to institute a dog DNA testing program (Im serious) where all dogs had to have their cheeks swabbed so that Camden could identify pets whose owners were not picking up after them (again Im serious). I thought this was very funny only because I dont own a dog, but I decided to ask Camden how they would pay for this expensive program, and they told me current residents wouldnt pay and it would be covered in future resident rates. If youre reading this looking for an apartment, thats you. Camden thinks youre a schmuck who should pay for their lousy management, and the amount you pay will increase for every month you stay in your unit. But Camden has a doggy DNA program that hasnt seemed to reduce the amount of dog dropping and certainly hasnt addressed the real problem of rabbit droppings, so hey, thats something.Again, DO NOT LIVE HERE.Finally, good luck in your search for an apartment! I hope you find a nice home. I hope you found my review helpful, and I apologize if my vitriolic tone seems a bit extreme, but I think anywhere would be a better option for you than Camden. I barely made it six months, and another month would have resulted in this review being all caps because thats how you know someone is really mad on the Internet :)
Seemed ok. Nothing special
An awful experience in my few months here.
Nine, clean, upscale neighborhood
