If I could give a sixth star I would... I lived here for over 4 years until June 1st 2021. Maintenance is always on top of work orders, management I found to always be helpful,, and what can you say about the neighborhood and views; outstanding location. When I first moved in on September 2017 there was an issue, and management at the time stepped up.I am really hoping to move back here in June of 2022, due to my job situation not working when I moved out.. Golden is a very special place.
Views GALORE.... SO many beautiful views at this apartment complex and SO close to downtown Golden. These apartments are a hidden gem! They are updated and have the most amazing location. There are very close trails that connect to North Table so theres hiking in your backyard. The management is wonderful (Sandra especially). My fiancé and I lived there and love it! Same with our guests that would come visit! We highly recommend living there, you wont regret it!!
We paid a premium for the heavy duty cleaning service offered by them upon move out. However instead of performing a throughout cleaning, they decided to replace the carpet for one room and charged us $450 in addition to the $250 heavy duty cleaning service fee. The community manager Heaven Moss claimed she has the receipt for the cleaning service from the professional cleaning company but failed to show us.
Had an absolutely incredible experience working with their property manager! It helps that the units were stunning and the area was perfect! When I am ready to move this will certainly be my new home!
I came lookig for a 2 bed but cold not see one which was fine because i seen a 3 bed and it was amazing. the girl showing us around was very freindley. We have a good experence
As if visiting Colorado isn’t already amazing, I had the pleasure of being able to get insight at this community and it was SO BEAUTIFUL. The staff was so pleasant and easy to communicate with. Although I didn’t lease here, Sandra, the property manager, was such a positive spirit that I left there more satisfied than when I first showed up! If you guys are ever in the area, check this place out!! You won’t be disappointed :)
Lovely place and the ACM, Kat Sedita, is such a wonderful person!
We lived at Altitude for a year and it was the best apartment rental experience we have had! The townhouse style layout with a separate entrance for each unit is unique for complexes in the area and the location is great with easy access to Golden. There are also a few bars/restaurants within quick walking distance. The management changed during out time there and the new staff has put in significant effort to improve the complex and were always helpful with maintenance requests and any other issues we ran into.
Current management is really friendly and helpful. Maintenance is fast and efficient. Great location.
I like living here, the apartments are a wonderful layout. the views are also amazing. Washer and dryer help keep things convenient, in addition to the trash pick up. I do wish there were more ammemitam, like a hot tub or community garden. Overall, its a great place to live!
Love this little slice of heaven! We are so close to Denver, but within the beauty of the foothills. Our neighbors are some of the best around! Very friendly and always there if you need something. Cant wait for the beautiful summer here at Altitude with all the outdoor activities that are so close!!
My son and his friends will be moving in shortly and I am already impressed with the service we have received. Kristy has been nothing short of amazing in helping us all out in making sure this process goes smoothly. My son said the unit was beautiful and even the maintenance staff greets residents with smiles and hellos when walking into the office! Would recommend Altitude and Kristy anyday!
The apartments are nice, more spacious than I was expecting which is always good. However, there were a few damaged things when I moved in. The maintenance team is working on fixing them but the tenants should realize that after they move out, new people will be moving in shortly after. The staff was very nice when we brought these concerns up with them. They have also done a great job accommodating our situation considering we have three international students living with us.
Came in today to look at an apartment. Brian showed me around and was absolutely great and helped me find the right fit very quickly. He really helped me by explaining all my options and got me the best deal. I’m really looking forward to being a resident!
We enjoyed living here! Taylor in the office is really good at her job. Its a very pretty location, and the units are as private and quiet as possible. I dont think we heard our neighbors once (when we were inside). We loved living so close to downtown Golden yet still having easy access to highways and trails.
Lived here from 2004-2006 when it was called Canyon Point. Nice apartment. Fun fact, there are 4 units per building and all of the attics connect together.
I have been here for a month and could not be happier. The staff is great and helpful. The complex is well maintained and clean. The community is very quiet. I am so glad I decided to move here!!!!
I have lived here over 7 years. This is easily the best location in Golden. Besides the views, the units are concise, kept in good repair and priced reasonably for the amenities provided. In the past, there were both good and not so good property managers, and lots of turnover. It often seemed that they were overwhelmed by the number of responsibilities they had. Common issues, like dog problems (off-leash, failure to pickup poop, etc.), annoying neighbors, and landscaping/parking lot maintenance needs, were not always handled at an optimal level.Recently, a new company, Cardinal Group, took over the management of the property. The current property manager, Sandra, has been here since the change. With a myriad of problems left over from prior management, she has calmly and efficiently brought most of those residual issues under control. The office team, including the assistant managers and maintenance crew (led by Steve, a very experienced and personable guy) has met all of my expectations to date. Sandra and her team are professional and very friendly...even to my older dog, who cant pass the office without pulling me in for her biscuits! There have been several improvements to the site and more coming, Ive been told. I hope this company is able to maintain the consistency that the former one could not...specifically in relation to the office manager, Sandra. If so, I will remain here until I buy a new retirement home. As it stands currently, I am the proverbial happy camper!
This apartment complex is pretty good! My boyfriend and I lived here for 3 years and found, like all apartment complexes, its a bit of a mixed-bag but we were overall very happy with our time here. The new leasing agent, Brian, has been a big improvement and like other reviewers on here Ive found him pleasant, professional, and kind. He couldnt have been more helpful during our move-out which was really impressive to me.Complex pros:Location: Great views, easy commute to Denver, Boulder, or Littleton, close to downtown Golden, and some nice walking trails and parks nearby.Maintenance: Staff are friendly and super responsive- special shout-out to Yoshi for being the best, always. All of the appliances in my apartment worked smoothly and repairs were always handled rapidly.Community: Overall, my neighbors were all really nice people who I enjoyed living near. Very few issues with inconsiderate pet owners, no vandalism or theft, etc. We felt safe and comfortable in our home.Cons:The driveway is horrible. They re-paved it within the past 6 months or so but they just paved over all of the existing cracks and potholes. I had to have my alignment serviced regularly.Forced to sign up for a $25/month valet trash service, despite dumpsters outside every unit and unreliable valet service. There were a lot of spiders on the property! I am not sure why that is, and it didnt bother me since they ate other bugs, but it was a problem for my boyfriend who is not a fan of spiders.
Weve loved living here. So much to do, very quiet and clean. Golden is awesome. The apartments feel like townhomes because theyre two-stories. They also a lot larger than theyre actual square footage because of the high ceilings.
I just signed a lease here and couldnt be happier! Working with Brian was nothing short of a perfect experience. He is friendly, accommodating, super knowledgeable, and wants you to have an awesome experience. Location is perfect, close to downtown and trails for hiking. Couldnt be more excited!
The management is not that great. The pool on on Ruby drive only opened midsummer while the other pool opened Memorial day weekend. Once the pool opened on Ruby drive, it was immediately closed off in one week. Sometime what you expect and pay for is not what you get.
My husband and I have been living at Altitude apts for over 3 years and have experienced several apartment management groups come and go. The current management, Cardinal Property Group, has by far been the best. My review a year ago would have been very different than the one I am writing today. In the relatively short time they took over the complex, this management group has made many improvements to the operations and aesthetics of Altitude including a new mail box system, re pavement of the roads leading to the apts (this was long overdue), faster service request response times, and updated complexes with new appliances, wood floors, etc. It seems like this group is investing in the property and here to stay.Apart from management, the apts are ideally located (walking distance from downtown Golden and, important to us, a Starbucks and Cannonball Brewery). Also, we are avid mountain bikers and can bike from our apartment to North Table Mountain, Chimney Gulch, Apex and White Ranch. Overall, this apt complex is great and an affordable option for people looking to be close to Goldens mountains, restaurants, breweries, etc.!
Wonderful place to live. Kirsty, Yoshi and the rest of the office staff are always very helpful and nice. Best place to rent and worth the price for having a home not an apartment with people above or below you.
Management is absolutely terrible and have been terrible to deal with when trying to renew our lease. It has been two and a half months of them telling us they will have it for us in the next two days. We have stopped by the office at least 10 times to get this sorted out and they have done nothing. This place is overpriced for the location and the apartments are falling apart despite their renovations. The doors dont seal correctly, the windows leak, the kitchen appliances are cheap and dont always work properly and the list goes on and on. Also, maintenance takes about a month and half to fix anything you want fixed so it might be best to fix things yourself. While the location is great, our experience here has been absolutely awful and we do not recommend living here.
Living here is great, we are taken care of well enough. My only complaint is the fact that the pool is heated all winter long with no cover. I have never seen anyone use it, and the waste of heat is crazy!
I am impressed at the attentiveness of the staff and the promptness of a repair that I needed. The location is fantastic, surrounded by hills, easy access to highways. I couldnt be happier with my decision to rent here.
Good location but poor management/office workers. Our heat went out this past winter and it took 3 months to have it properly fixed. The housing itself is great with the recent renovations but dealing with the leasing office was too much of a hassle for us. Would not recommended to a friend.
You guys never Disappointed!! Just come by😀😘
The location is great, the apartments are overpriced and just ok, and management has been below average. Ive lived here over two years and management has changed three times in that span. In the last few weeks, a free wifi service was taken away from residents, I received an unusual bill of over $300 for common area electricity (probably by mistake, but they still havent fixed it), and tonight I wanted to enjoy a game of pool in the clubhouse but got locked out due to a malfunction of their electronic key fob system. If I were to recommend Altitude apartments, it would be solely because of its location and not much else.
So glad to be back to Altitude! The heated pool is excellent in the summer. Office staff and maintenance staff are always so friendly and helpful.
Worst life experience ever!! They will steal THOUSANDS from you on the move out process!! Was not the only victim and they wont send the info you need on time so your balance gets past due and you pay the damn fees!! Can U get better treatment? Then look for it, they not worth it. 4000 total net loss at this point and theres still a balance they wont send me until it goes up maybe!
Not normally a commenter but saw the negative review below and felt it nesacary to write a review. Clearly the person below is just upset they have to follow the same rules as everyone else. Kristy and Tayler bent over backwards for my family to help us get moved in and everything has been wonderful ever since. Nothing short of professionalism and helpfulness in the office and by maintenance. Since Brian has joined the Office things have been just as great. The units are nice and new and the location is great with awesome views. Maintenance is quick and effective. Don’t let one clearly negative persons review deter you from moving here. Best renting experience we have had.
I moved to Altitude one year ago and am very satisfied with my experiences here. It is close to Golden downtown and has easy accesses to highways. The neighbors are kind and friendly. In particular, it is very quite and I have never heard any noises or dog barking from our neighbors. Apartment units are newly renovated so that it is mostly clean and well-equipped.Maintenance staffs including Brian are very friendly and helping. They tried to help the tenants sincerely . I have not had any major maintenance issues but they are very ready to fix any requests. These experiences led me to decide to have my contract renewed for one more year.
Save yourself from trouble, do not rent this place. The management lies for living. When moved in, no one gave us information about anything. When no trash picked up, the office refused to help as told us to call the trash company ourselves. The office only took money. We did not want the trash service, but willing to pay if serviced. We then bought a house and moved out before the lease ended. We were lied about the cost of carpet cleaning after we paid them before moving out. Found out later, we owed them more according to them. DO NOT CLEAN WHEN MOVING OUT BECAUSE THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR CLEANING ANYWAY, WHICH WE WISH WE HAD KNOWN. Gave them the new address to forward bills. We never recived it. We were immediately sent to collections for the month we did not receive the bill and the following month which was in the future. We asked the office to prove that they sent out the bills, they could not.Dont even bother to pretend answer this review because deep down you have been knowing all the lies and sending people the collections as your normal business practice. Such a immoral company.
Great place to live! Staff is friendly and maintenance is fast.
I do not and have not lived at Altitude Apartments so I cannot speak on the actual living conditions. This review is solely based on our interaction with the management and our experience applying for an apartment. We visited Altitude Apartments in January 2017 and fell in love with the location and the apartments. Once we were ready to move across the country, (Florida to Colorado) we patiently waited for a 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom unit to open up within our budget. In November 2017, most of the 2/2 units were going for about $2,100 - $2,200. A little steep but we really wanted to live here. The week before Thanksgiving a 2/2 unit became available for $1,865 (yes!!). We immediately applied and our application was accepted the following week. Being that we were moving across the country, I wanted a signed lease in hand before coordinating the movers, car shipping, etc. Our move date was set to January 24th, 2018. I waited a week after our application was accepted then called to check when a lease would be sent and was assured I would receive it the next day, if not that afternoon. I never received a lease. Between the beginning of December 2017 and January 8th, 2018, I had made about 7 calls to request a lease so that we could prepare our move. Still never received a lease and we were about to move in less than 2 weeks. After losing all faith in the Altitude Apartments management, we realized we needed a back-up plan and found another apartment. After doing an evening of research, we called the other apartment, asked a bunch of questions, applied, were accepted, and signed a lease all within about a 2-3 hour time period the same day. After all that, I wouldn’t live here due to the lack of management quality and effectiveness. If its that hard to get a lease, I can only imagine what putting a service request in would be like. When you think of home, you think of security, and that is not the feeling I walked away with.
I cannot wait till my lease is up to get out of this place. It is overpriced, they charge for a a garbage valet that I have never seen come and pick up my trash so that is a useless service you are forced to pay. People let their dogs run free so there is dog poop everywhere and its smells as a result, the landscaping and pools are run down, the windows are so old and inefficient making your heating bills skyrocket in the winter, management keeps changing hands so they really dont care about anyones well being here and the maintenance is understaffed and takes a while to get things accomplished. The garages are so small they can only fit a compact car, the parking lot is atrocious and there is NO assigned spots and as a result at night there is often no where to park. This place is so frustrating. They upgraded some of the apartments but went cheap with finishes and electric and the price for this place is way over market value as I am discovering while looking for a new place. I would give them no stars if I could. Save your money go some place else. I found much nicer, bigger town houses for much less in Westminster and Arvada.
Nice apartment complex, incompetent staff that turns over every few months. Overpriced for the area, but nice apartments other than being on the small side.
The actual apartment was reasonable (I think it had just been renovated), and with the exception of a few maintenance problems I was quite pleased with the apartment. The management on the other hand was another story. The absolute incompatible of the management team was phenomenal. A representative example of this poor management was when I was when I was miss-billed. I paid the amount listed on my bill on time each month. As it turned out that wasnt the amount I was supposed to pay, I had been short around $100 a month for several months because I made the stupid mistake of assuming that management could correctly add numbers together and bill me for the correct amount. Out of the blue I received a notice about all of the rent I owed in addition to all kinds of late fees. I actually thought this was a scam at first because I had paid my rent on time every month. Anyway, this turned into a huge headache and was only partially resolved. Luckily, I had kept all of my old bills and was able to prove that I thought I was paying the full amount and they waived all the late fees. The underlying problem was never fixed however, I was routinely billed the wrong amount until I moved out. Altitude uses a company called Conservice to generate the bills and apparently there was a miscommunication between them and Altitude, this resulted in Conservice and Altitude thinking I owed different amounts. This of course could not be fixed because each thought the other had made the mistake, to this day Conservice still thinks that I was over paying and that Altitude owes me some hundreds of dollars (they dont). As far as I can tell this all originated many months ago when Altitude incorrectly billed me for a garage and when this was resolved Altitude updated their records but didnt forward the correct information to Conservice. Another example of the incompetency of the management was the fact that it took 3+ months to get my security deposit back after I moved out. During this time they sent my information to a collection agency saying I owed them the amount of the security deposit. This particular problem was resolved reasonably easily, but still the fact that it happened at all says a lot. There were also many hidden fees/bills on top of an already pricey apartment. One of these is the valet trash, which is $25 a month and more of an inconvenience than anything else (you have to leave your trash outside all night in the trash bin and not just in a tied up garbage bag, meaning that you cant use the trash bin inside the apartment that night). They dont even come pick up your trash Friday through Sunday and a number of other days when they are lazy or forget. Management also gets mad at you for leaving your trash out for multiple days after someone repeatedly forgets to come pick it up.Anyway, unless you want to walk down to the office to sort out a problem that was caused by the absolute incompetence of the management every other month or so, I would avoid this place.
The apartments themselves are lovely. The townhouse style setup and location are why I chose to live here. Unfortunately, the good qualities end there. If you ever have a serious problem, dont expect management to help. I had drug deals taking place next door to me and management did ABSOLUTELY nothing for months despite multiple complaints from many neighbors. Seeing cops outside my building became somewhat of a regular thing and the tenant never got evicted!! Dog poop is all over the grass so watch your step. And if you arent a fan of smoking, dont count on the no smoking section of your lease to mean anything because everyone smokes and it is never enforced. Its so unfortunate that such a lovely location with so much potential is managed so poorly.
Update: I see there is another new community manager (3rd in a year) working here after numerous residents posted about having their final bills sent to collections erroneously and security deposits withheld without any itemization. Where’s Saul Goodman when you need him? I smell a good opportunity for a class-action suit. After a messy transition to new management, the current management company doesn’t seem to be doing much better. All attempts to contact them regarding my security deposit and final bill have gone unanswered. I just found out that they sent my final bill to collections (a mere 1 month after moving out) which is pretty funny considering they still owe me over $1k for my security deposit. Also interesting is that they listed my forwarding address as their own address, so I guess they’ve just been delivering my mail to themselves and wondering why it has gone unanswered.Hopefully the folks at Pinnacle corporate offices can get this mess sorted out.
A decent location biggest complaint is that people do not pick up after their dogs and the grass areas are filthy.
Ive never written a review before, but I want to for Altitude because of how much I enjoyed living there. My boyfriend and I moved to Golden from the Midwest without having a chance to tour any apartments ahead of time, so we really took a gamble on choosing Altitude. We couldnt have been happier with our choice. Especially compared to previous rental experiences, we were impressed by how clean, modern, and well-maintained both the apartment as well as the complex itself was. From the maintenance staff to the office manager Joslyn, just about everyone we came in contact with seemed to go above and beyond when we had a question or a problem. My only suggestion would be to allow tenants to opt out of the valet trash service. It was kind of frustrating having to pay $25 a month for something we never used. All in all though, thank you so much for helping make our transition to Colorado a smooth one! We would always recommend you guys!
If I could give a zero I would. This place is awful. It all started with the bate and switch when you move in. They say that have an apartment for a certain amount, then say they just rented out the last one at that rate. Then they raise the rate several hundred dollars. They also give you a firm move in date, but then they change that date not letting you know until you are here. When you talk to Joslyn in the office, she is extremely rude and really doesnt care if anyone is happy but herself. The only nice people in the office are actually temps that they take in on a daily basis. Not very professional at all.The maintenance guys have been very nice, the only problem is that they never get notified when something needs to be done so its a crap shoot if they will make it. Weve had toilets clogged regularly because of the plumbing. Weve had washers, dryers, water heaters and heaters break in the 10 months we have been here. The very quickest anything has been fixed is three days. The norm is to wait at least a week before anything is done. The valet garbage is crap as well. They charge you an additional $25-$35 for this fee when the dumpsters are really close and they dont show up most of the time. It is a pointless service. We put garbage out on Sunday and it wasnt picked it up until Thursday night when the guy picking it up was really rude. He started yelling because there was too much garbage when that had actually accumulated over the week because no one came.Be very careful here when they say PET FRIENDLY! A woman attempted to poison several dogs using a chemical and mothballs. We let the office know and they didnt do anything about it. We had to get the police involved as well as the city and EPA because it could get in the water. Meanwhile the apartment did nothing. When approached recently, Joslyn said its only mothballs. Obviously she isnt intelligent enough to know that when a dog ingests a poison, they are not going to be healthy. We had several dogs throughout the complex that had vomiting, foam coming out of their mouth, diarrhea, sneezing, constant blowing trying to get the chemical out of their snout and another completely healthy dog died. This place also charges more then they should for utilities. You have to pay your own electric but then the apartment adds on community charges for their electricity and water. Somehow they always manage to add on at least $200 per unit to get more money from you. The windows are also awful here. Keeping our one bedroom apartment at around 60 degrees in the winter, cost us about $250 per month in heating expenses.I love living in Golden and dont want to leave, but I would never stay here again. I wish I would have known how bad this place was before we moved in. It looks nice when you take the tour like a lot of places, but then you realize how awful it is quickly. Dont trust anything that Joslyn or anyone in the office say. They will change whatever they want and end up screwing you over. It is a lot like buying a car that is a lemon here. On the surface it looks okay, but when you get down to it, its awfulI would recommend to everyone that they should stay away from this place.
Josalyn and Taylor were great with the move-in process for me.I toured the property with Josalyn. She gave me a map with prices of each unit available and a break down of the utilities on the paper, full disclosure. I was contemplating where I wanted to live when the town home I was living in, in Vail, flooded from a broken pipe. This accelerated my move time significantly. I called Josalyn, quite stressed as I had no where for myself, dog and cat to move, and limited budget. She got me into the unit I had been contemplating the next day!Taylor ended up staying a little late as I had a hard time getting down from the mountains in time to pick up the key.I had a few small items that needed addressed and Yoshi, the handyman, took care of all of them right away.I thought my cat had run away when the movers put my belongings in my unit. Josalyn sent out a Lost Cat email to all residents to look for my cat. He appeared from a kitchen cupboard he had hunkered down in the next day. :) Smart kitty. My experience is that management really cares about residents. I had surgery two weeks after I moved in and they have been very compassionate, wishing me well and helped me find a dog walking service.
Very nice apartment to live especially for the kids.
Altitude is GREAT place to Live!!! It is a Beautiful place and convenient to everything!!!
Great location, average service, bad parking, but overall Ive had a positive experience.
Was very disappointed with Altitude’s move out process
These guys suck
Finally home!!!!
