Excellent customer service at the front desk all the way through the mechanics. Our mechanic spent time listening to my concerns, even took time to ride with me so that I could explain exactly what was happening. After tremendous investigations and not giving up, my vehicle drove better than it had in years.Personable employees all around, kind, courteous, patient, honest. If its not worth spending so much on a particular service, theyll tell you!This is 100% the best shop youll ever visit.

I saw the ratings and I thought it will be a great experience. Unfortunately it wasn’t. I was there for AC repair. They said no leaks or something. Just need the gas. They charged me $202 only to put gas. Though after 5 mins it was broken again. And the guy in front desk told me your compressor is broken now. Not before first inspection. I was saying it was either compressor or the gas. Though he was very rude and ignorant, he said no you just broke your compressor in the last 5 minutes. He said he is gonna fix it for $2878. He wanted to install lots of other parts beside compressor with individual high charges. It seems they only thing they are looking for is money, no ethics at all. I just wasted one day and $202 there and had to take my car somewhere else.

So this particular place was good when Steve was there. After he left and they sold the place to Sun Devil Auto or whatever service was horrible!! No one talked to you with respect, the mechanics couldnt keep up with my car. They kept telling me the wrong info about my car. Everytime I got my car back from getting fixed it was something else going wrong. This shop had my car for an entire month!! I believe they switched parts on my car with another car like Mine. I will never trust them with my car again!! From now on Im going to HS& MS on 19th Ave and Glendale!!! They are honest and they dont over charge you and they dont take a month to fix your car.

I was in Glendale helping my Dad and his Kia Sportage needed freon. It was 117° out! I called Daves and explained my situation and was able to have it repaired, oil change, and tires rotated. I had a problem with my cam shaft and spent almost 1000.00 to fix it by an auto shop that I have gone to for years. When the service light came on two months later for the same problem the auto shop told me I would need to go to the dealer to fix it and gave me a loose quote up to 2000.00 to fix it.Knowing it was going to cost up to 2000.00 I wanted to go to someone other than the dealer. I decided to go to Dave’s Car Care because some of family uses his shop and were impressed with how it’s run.I had my car checked out by Justin who took the time to go over the car facts and explained everything to me that was happening. He advised me to go back to the first auto shop because their work should be under warranty and he would hate to have me pay double. I was so impressed with the honesty. He knew I was expecting to pay as much as I needed to get the car fixed and turned down a guaranteed 2000.00 that I would not have questioned due to not knowing much about cars.I took the car back to the original shop and it was fixed for free. They werent very transparent. They didnt go over their minimum shop charge with me. Instead,.. after giving me a repair estimate, attempted to charge me $199.00 when I declined to have them do the work. I was quoted $3,000 to fix my AC.

After a few years... I just have to say... very bad service the owner or manager yell at me because of a service that it was done and they never fixed it they just wanted to take my money there was concern about my AC and they just want to take your money bad experience after going with them for a couple of years... and please stop sending me your junk mail...

Recently I took my car to Dave’s Car Care to do a diagnostic test for an alternator and misfire problem. I paid for these services and advised them I’ll be fixing my repairs myself. Also, had an agreement with them about transporting my car on Saturday morning when the business was closed. As I was putting my car on the auto transport the owner showed up with police accusing me not only stealing my own car and breaking in entry in their establishment because their alarm went off. I gave them my identification docs to show who I was and was continually being mistreated with unprofessionalism from the owner. After proving I was the owner of the vehicle and Dave’s Car Care checking their CTV security cameras to prove my story was accurate about not committing any crime I was free to go. I have no idea how their alarm went off when I did NOT touch any part of their establishment. This could of been handled in a totally different way, but accusing someone from the get go is completely absurd and unprofessional. Dave’s Car Car will no longer be getting my business. Stay classy Dave!!! 🙃😎

Worse place ever. Asked to look for a diagnosis turned the car in at 9am they said it would be ready and looked at my 2pm went there to pick it up at 530pm and it was parked in the same place

We have used Dave’s automotive repair for a few years now and have had nothing but fair prices, friendly service, on time service, and the best experience from his business. We brought our Toyota Camry in with a check engine light for the hybrid battery. He work with us on the price and gave us a loaner car so I could go back and fourth to work. He also found a recall on the booster brake system and fixed that as well. This is the only auto shop I will be using from here on out. He’s fixed our truck before and my daughter’s Tahoe. Always was fair with the prices then too. I highly recommend anyone to use his shop. You will be satisfied also! Thanks again Dave for making me car run like new again!

Honest, fair, friendly!Took our Ford F250 in for repair. Timing chain needed. Quoted a price of $3500, of which $1500 was parts.Repair was made. But on test drive Dave was not happy with results. He needed to keep it and fix. After numerous days and even calling in expert mechanics and calling Ford Motors, nobody could figure out the issue. I spoke personally with Dave and he was visibly upset at not being able to fix vehicle. I was assured, and I believe that he went above and beyond at no labor charged!We were ONLY CHARGED FOR PARTS INSTALLED, which we thought was fair!Well definitely go back to Daves!

This is an updated review. The first time around I really thought I had found an honest mechanic, took my car in about a month ago with a coolant leak and was told it would be 1300 to fix and that all other problems were minor. The problem wasnt fixed so I brought it back and was pretty much told it was not worth fixing and to count my losses. Wish I was told that the first time because the only loss is the money I already spent with this company for no reason. Now I have to buy a new car, and that 1300 would have really helped because I wouldnt have spent it if they didnt tell me the other issues were minor. I really feel the right thing to do is reimburse some of that but when I mentioned it, no doubt it was turned around on me as if I intended this. No hard feelings, just I dont want anyone else to be done this way.

As always they took care of my every need. Do I like paying for car maintenance? Of course not, but I dont believe you will find a better place to do it. They are reasonable and honest. As a senior widowed woman that makes it very comfortable to take my car there. Thanks to everyone there!

I was purchasing a 2016 Subaru WRX and I took it to Daves to get looked at to make sure it was a good buy. The inspection was very thorough and detailed. New to area needed a car shop to own all the repairs of all my cars and my families cars. This is not the shop. Ethics issue with one of the mechanics. The owner attempted to repair the issue after being patronizing and condescending, followed by the most painfully awkward teeth gritting apologies I have ever witnessed. Maybe if he would have just looked me in the face or eyes I would have been excepting...

When I was first quoted a brake job price they said 1456 was quote they told me two days. They never measured the brake drums before the work I had to buy a brake drum on top of nearly 1300 dollars in labor they never fixed the master brake cylinder which was part of the original complaint. There labor price at 174.28 an hour is insane. They told me to come back which I did and asked me to leave vehicle for another two days. Don’t recommend them not only are they expensive they don’t keep there word on when vehicle is going to be done nor stand by it. Now I need another shop to finish what they should have done right to begin with.

The first time I came to Dave’s for an oil change was while Arizona was under “stay home” orders due to COVID-19. I was impressed at how they handled safe and healthy practices at check in and check out. I was so pleased with their communication throughout, the follow-up and prompt phone calls. I also received a text message the following week to thank me for choosing Dave’s; and then another text message when my vehicle was due for service. The pleasant customer service and sincere communication made me feel like they cared about me, not just making money.Then, before hitting the road for a long trip, I took my car to Dave’s for an inspection. Firs off, the office people are extremely rude. Lisa has absolutely no sympathy nor care that I had to walk 2 miles in the heat several times because they don’t know how to tell a customer what’s really going on with a car. They said I needed parts replaced that truly do NOT need to be replaced. Then overcharged for an oil change. I could of gone to any other place and paid $30 at most. But no, they charged me $50. I originally said don’t do the oil change since they told me in the beginning that it hadn’t been done yet, so when I say that’s fine take my car down so I can leave they guy changes his story and says their halfway through the oil change even tho ALL of the mechanics were all on lunch at the exact same time. Fishy. When I wanted to speak to Dave about my issues I was given attitude. I would highly recommend no one going to this shop. They like to take advantage of their older customers and female customers. Absolutely horrible experience.

I brought my car to Dave’s Car Care for a diagnostic test after my neighbor recommended them. My neighbor has been a customer of theirs for ten years. I have had bad experiences in the past when getting my car serviced so I was concerned about taking my car to get serviced. However, when I took my car in to Dave’s Car Care they were very friendly, helpful and respectful. They were honest with me regarding the condition of my car and didn’t try to take advantage of me even though the car needed a new engine. I could not afford this given my current situation. They went above and beyond by having my care transported back to my residence. They did not charge for the extra service. As a female that was a big plus. In the spirit of Matthew 25:35, they helped me in my time of need. They rescued me from what was already a stressful situation by eliminating one worry. I was the recipient of a good deed. The staff at Dave’s Car Care were truly a blessing from God. From Lisa, the receptionist, to Dave, the owner, as well as all those in the company who helped me out that day. Just had my rack and pinion repaired. Excellent workmanship and customer service.they didnt give me the you are driving with the grim reaper scare that other garages have given me in the past. They let me know of all my options and made sure i had a ride home or transportation to pick my truck up when complete. I depend on my truck to be in top shape since i pull a camp trailer with it. Daves Car Care has worked on my car a couple times and each time did a fantastic job. I like the way they call and discuss what is wrong before they begin work and keep me informed. The whole team at Daves have been Great. My car is running great and I will be a loyal customer for life.

Upon arrival everyone was super nice and they got me an uber to work. My car went into the shop with the biggest problem being somebody had literally cut out my battery. Once the mechanics checked out my car they gave me a called telling me the repair would cost out $400.Being that I had gone through 4 years of automotive classes I knew that $400 is outrageous and told them not to do the repair and I would be there asap to pick up my car. They had then had the previous owner call and he had told the shop to,do the repair, without calling me to confirm anything they proceeded. When they were done they had the released my car to the previous owner. Im not happy with how this all happened.In response to the reply:What did he provide? Because I have the bill of sale signed and notarized in my possession.And even tho he was able to pay for it, he shouldnt have because $393 is outrageous for fixing battery cables.

I purchased a vehicle at an auction, which is to be my 19 year old daughters, so I took it to Daves for an overall inspection to be sure she would be driving a safe car. I guess the word integrity comes to mind, since this vehicle is over 20 years old, Daves could have told me all kinds of stuff to run up a bill, but they were straight forward and honest. As an example: I asked whether a tune up was needed, the response was that it runs like a top, so not now. Once again the team at Daves has earned my gratitude and respect. Need car repairs? Daves is the place!

I was taking the work vehicles in my fleet in to have repairs done when I noticed that every vehicle magically needed major repairs, and each vehicles totals were the same basic amount. I commend them for getting my vehicles looked at in a timely manor however if every time I take a vehicle in it is going to cost me $1,800 I wont stay in business very long. Just a bit out of my price range.

Dave personally got my trucks broken axle worked on right as soon as I arrived with the tow truck driver. I was really impressed on how quick they repaired my axle and as business owner my self getting my diesel work truck was a priority to me. Had my car serviced there,r they charged me a $1,200, 2 hrs for diagnostics.bill and they did not even fix the problem ! Theres no accountabilityMy fiance has worked on cars and works for ford 10+ plus years.! And THERES A loophole is read your paperwork ?!!!!!!! NO MATTER WHAT THE PROBLEM MAY BE THEY WILL NOT FIX IT AT OR TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY! I live off of northern hes Peoria avenue 3.7 miles. The car made it from Daves shop to home, and broke down! IT WASNT The sensor it was the actual harness literally right behind the sensor any great mechanic would have caught that. They called us at 2:30 telling us what needs to be done. The car was ready before 5 not realistic, but when my fiance went to drop off the car Dave was there, Dave day was very abrasive very short and annoyed. Apparently someone called off! Heres the thing I took the vehicle to two other mechanics it wasnt the sensor Dave it was a harness !!!!LAZY which was a bigger job! DAVE FOR being around 40 years I would think you would have noticed that or one of your techs . also when my fiance came to pick up the car he asked about the oil change and the type of oil that was used she said we use a lower grade but Im sure youre going to go through that quickly so it wont affect the vehicle guess what it did! smarty pants all we put A CERTAIN oil FOR THE CAR!!!!!! stated it was not going to be a big deal it was a big deal little things that they did that affect the car in a bad way it wasnt just a sensor! for someone who says that they help the community and theyll help to do whatever it takes for the customer in their mission statement is bull! I took my Renegade in thinking I knew exactly what was needed, I was wrong. I had a mechanic drive out with me for a few minutes to feel the car do what I would feel. Of course it didnt do it, much. The car was left and checked into, doing their homework and checking all codes, my car didnt need anything really. Grateful for the time and honesty of all those involved in looking at my car at a fair, reasonable price. This review is overdue, but yes I would recommend Daves Car Care... thumbs up!

Once I find a good car place I like to stay with them. they told me I would be taken care by Daves with the same care, quality and family feel. They were right!! From the moment I made my first call to my first car repair appointment I felt like everything was going be ok. They were friendly, honest, helpful and straightforward with me and at the same time made me feel like I could leave my car there and it would be in great hands. They made sure I got a ride back to my house and when finished they came and got me to get my car. The wait time for a ride was minimal. Told me I needed to replace my trucks computer because my transmission was shifting hard, I told them Id be doing the repair myself and turns out it was just wiring not the computer, wanted $1100 for the computer and install, horrible.

I used this repair shop since my vehicle broke down a few miles from there. It was late in the day and it carried over to the next day. After not hearing from them I called and left a message. Upon the return call I was told that it would be $1200 to repair. Not having the money and not being able to make money since I am a rideshare driver I had to borrow the money. Being over a barrel I agreed to the repairs after asking were they sure and would I have it back before the weekend. I was told to be there by 5:30 because everyone wanted to go home and start their long weekend. Picked up the vehicle and came home which is a few miles away and decided I would just get an early start the next morning. I started my day only to have it break down again after 13 miles. Needless to say I was crushed knowing that I could not work or contact them until Tuesday when they reopened. I took vehicle back Tuesday and was confused late Wednesday telling me that it was not related to the repair and would I like to have them diagnose it and Tell me what it would cost. I declined and picked up the vehicle since I was not able to work for going on 2 weeks at this point and already borrowing money. A couple days later I found a shop that gave free diagnostic and took it to them. Their diagnostic was there was an issue with the computer and needed a new one. Still not working or winning the lottery I had no options. By a miracle I was able to work out a payment plan and agreed to dive into it again. At the end of it all the problem was pinpointed to be another short in the wiring harness within 3 of where the other repair had been made. Entire engine compartment wiring harness was redone and all problems were fixed. I have several pictures showing issues and thisat point it was clear that the harness was the entire problem. Since then we I have not had a single issue and just wanted to vent since I have never really a call, email,or anything so I am posting this review.

I used this business to have repairs and improvements made on my 1969 Pontiac Firebird. The vehicle was in excellent condition and had been fully restored. I was wanting to have several oil leaks fixed and have vintage air conditioning added to the vehicle. I trusted Dave to make any necessary repairs. He had numerous ethics awards posted in his shop. After my experience, I would say those awards do not properly reflect the ethics of this business. The repairs made were poorly performed and ultimately caused complete engine failure. After only driving 800 miles after the repairs, I brought the vehicle back due to excessive engine noise. The repairs were under warranty but Dave refused to take responsibility. The treatment I received was horrible especially after having spent over $14,000 with this company.I took the vehicle to another reputable repair shop and ultimately had to have the engine completely restored at a cost of over $6,000. The company confirmed that when Dave’s replaced the rod bearings, it was clear the repair was done improperly because the engine should have been removed from the vehicle and the bottom half of the engine exposed enabling the crankshaft to be polished. This improper repair caused the engine to fail.Once I realized the dishonesty of this shop, I began to dig deeper. I soon learned the prices I paid for the replacement parts was 2 to 3 times what would be considered normal retail pricing. A few examples, I paid $373 for a rear view mirror that I found new for $94. Some other detailsRod bearings - paid $144.67. Found $14.99Engine oil pump - paid $325.29. Found $99Voltage regulator- paid $73.30. Found $18.38Radiator- paid $781.00. Found $176.00The list goes on. I believe I spent over $4,000 in excess pricing.I am considering taking Dave’s to court. However, negative energy leads to more negative energy. It is important to ensure I inform the public of my experience to help others avoid these difficulties and such blatant dishonesty.

Called to ask for a price for smoke testing... Work has been done already just need smoke to see where the leak is... Darren told me the problem is probably the work that has been done. So 140 to look again... No thanks. I just told you a MECHANIC HELPED ME... I just need a smoke test. Not a review of what was done already

Love this place and the staff!!! I went through 3 mechanics that all ended up bailing on me literally stopped taking my phone calls. A good friend of mine recommended this place and let me tell you my truck was diagnosed and fixed withing 3 hours after struggling for weeks. Luckily nothing major but my moms car on the other hand required more labor and a new part, still same day it was ready! All i can say is thank you pricing is fair and the staff is AMAZING! Finding an honest shop is like finding a needle in a hay stack. Special thanks to Dave he runs a great business, there is a reason why they have so many ethics awards.

I took my wifes car here and they gave me a great honest assessment, didnt oversell they were sincere and honest. I went back today and dropped off my truck and fully intend to take all my vehicles to Daves. I had a chance to meet him and he lived up to all the hype. Great Place.

Daves Car Care provides top notch service with top tier professionalism. I took my vehicle into the dealership and explained in detail the issues I was having with my car. They kept it for 2 days and didnt even drive it to see what I was complaining about. When he called me on day 3 after finally driving, he tells me that they dont know what is causing the problem. Then he says they can run down a list of services, each more expensive than the last, but that still may not resolve the issue. I finally get fed up and picked my car up from them without allowing any further work to be done. I called Daves and was able to get in first thing the next business day. I spoke with Keenan who listened to everything I had to say and showed concern about the dealerships casual attitude with my car and my money. The tech (I want to say his name is Justin, but Im terrible with names, sorry dude!) came out on a test ride with us, he drove the car, and it took him all of 30 seconds to correctly diagnose the problem. I approved the repairs and they were completed same day! The car is driving smoothly now, thanks to the awesome crew at Daves! They will be much go-to for all my car care needs going forward!

Every time I go elsewhere, I regret it. This trip into the shop was for brake work and a cracked motor mount. Even when the motor mount came back more than expected, they honored the quoted price. After trying a couple different brake shops that never quite got the whole job done right, I can easily say the vehicle drives better than it has in years.

I took my Pontiac Grande Prix to Dave Auto Care and was very impressed with all services .and personnel. They were very honest and nice and kept me very informed of all things that had to be done first. My car was a older car needing emissions done and needed special attention. After finding many irregularities with wiring and other parts creating problems. They took the extra time to do it correctly. Service that was requested was done well and at a fair price. My only problem is the inspection they do. Before my car was even fixed for the issue I brought it in for they were trying to rack up the bill in a huuuuge way... Said I was having discoloration of hoses and recommended replacing at a cost of $1200. Yes for 3 hoses. Also, they offered an oil change while the car was being worked on for only $115... Im not a marketing genius but wouldnt it make more sense for them to offer a cheaper oil change for a car thats already being worked on? I mean $115 for a synthetic oil change is like double the price I pay for it. Im not saying they dont do good work, what Im saying is that they will try to upsell you the whole time your car is being worked on.

Finished the job earlier than expected with the usual great quality and courteous service.

I really liked the speed of the work. It was done all in one day. I had the window motor fixed on my Ford F150. They called me several times to let me know the status and updates of the work. They were very friendly. It was a bit expensive but I am totally happy nonetheless.

I have been a very satisfied customer of Daves for 8 years. They are the BEST car care group in Arizona and the people are wonderful to work with. I heard about Daves car care when I took my car in to the service department of a large well known dealership in Phoenix. The dealer gave me a price that was almost double and didnt even check the car. When I pulled in to Daves ... Dave the man himself greeted me and I explain what had happened at the dealer and what I was looking for... in no time they gave a me a loaner car for free and took the car in for a free check up to see what it needed ... after a few hours they called me and emailed me a very detailed report with what needed to be fixed and other recommendations. I was very satisfied with the entire process, the people were very friendly and it didnt feel like they were trying to sell me things I didnt need ... basically that day they won my business and now they have a customer for life. Daves is great and DAVE is great ! I drove by this shop for years and just recently found myself seeking service here and I wish I came by sooner . LISA is amazing . She did notbing but offer great advice for every problem i faced with this particular older car and how to ensure a better vehicle purchase in the future .I bought an older vehicle that had some issues and brought it into Daves. Dave and his mechanics are honest and they wont take everything you got and make it to where you are having to come back in the future for the next issue . . They get it done right the first time and they keep to their honesty and let you know exactly what your dealing with and what to expect in the future with the vehicle per the repair route you choose. They are definetly great on prices and they can do what they can to help anyone out wellwithin reason . They ofer a great service for a reasonable charge to bring in vehicles for inspection before you purchase them . I highly reccomend this .As for attitudes, people you get what you give when you come in here so give a good attitude and rest assured you will get one back . I was nothing but pleased with the attitudes and service I recieved .

I love this shop! These guys have been working on my cars for the last 6 years from when I had a Chevy Cavalier, to an Audi Cabriolet. Keenan (who’s been there since I first started using Dave’s) is so helpful and accommodating, and consistently goes above and beyond in customer service. I live within 5 miles of the shop too, so they provide me a shuttle to drop me off and pick me up when my car is ready 🙌🏼. So happy to have found a place where I can trust them with my car and they’ll always be honest with me about the repairs and their work.

After three separate occasions of working on my vehicles alternator, battery and wiring issues I had to take my, 2005 Ford Five Hundred back to Daves Car Care for a fourth visit. On this fourth occasion when I explained my vehicle still wasnt starting after all this time, money and labor, Dave personally came out to my house with his mechanic to see what could possibly be the issue this time around. Dave towed my car back to his shop for free and loaned me a 2008 Eco Friendly Dodge Caliber while he and his crew worked on my vehicle. I ended up borrowing the car for a little over a weeks time, completely free of charge. In this time, I was able to successfully move into my new home and continue on with my life as if the Dodge was my own. Mean while, Dave and his crew were finding out the real issues with my Ford. After much time, labor and a new alternator (that Dave bought from Ford himself) I was notified that my car was fixed and I wouldnt have to pay a cent.Im a twenty-one year student, working full time for Dutch Bros. Coffee, where we believe the customer is the soul purpose of our work. I can honestly say I have never had an experience like this one before. The focus and costumer service was outstanding and it was clear that my time, money, and vehicle was all incredibly important to Dave and his crew. Without the Dodge Caliber I wouldnt have been able to move into my new home or get to work each day.Im totally grateful for Dave, his crew and the transparency, honesty and integrity of this company. I had an emergency experience., not knowing where to get my car fixed! I saw this place as I drive by it everyday to work. I had my car tow there and the next morning i received a phone call and they look into my car and gave me the diagnosis and the total dollar amount.
