We were really looking forward to working with open water pools, Mike came out to give us a quote and start working on a design we liked him very much and were hopeful, he said he would get back to us in 2 weeks with a design and quote. 3 weeks passed no communication, so we called and couldnt get ahold of him, we emailed he replied, should be done in a couple of days with your design. Another week goes by called 4 times nothing. I finally get a message saying he cant find workers to commit to work therefore he cant give us an accurate quote and will hopefully get back to us in a couple days. A week later no communication. This is so typical of a contractor, no communication no reliability if you say your going to do something do it. Open water pools lost our business we will now be going to another pool builder. Just wanted to post this so someone else doesnt waste their time.

He built our wonderful pool ahead of schedule and we could not be happier with our new backyard oasis! This pool company cut 2-3 feet into the critical root zone of my heritage oak. The company got away with it because I am in the ETJ. However, it was an unethical act.

Frank and his team installed a huge slide for us to go with our pool. They did a fantastic job and made it happen in time for my kids’ end of school year party. I was worried when I chose to use an independent pool builder instead of a large national pool company. I have to say, Frank with Open Water Pools did a fantastic job! He stayed on top of the job to ensure it was built perfectly and still months after completion comes by to help me learn to manage my first pool. He immediately responds to any request and one of the things I like best - when something comes up he never worries who is responsible or who pays for any additional cost, he just gets it taken care of. Update 03/02/2021: Its been 3 years since Frank designed and built our pool, and he continues to blow us away with his service! After our major winter storm event in Georgetown we sustained some freeze damage to our pool equipment. I found the damage and leaking water on a Friday evening, called Frank and within a few minutes he talked me through how to stop the water flow until he could come out and assess the damage.We were very fortunate and ended up having minimal damage compared to some others, but Frank again showed up when he said he would, kept us informed through the process and had our pool back up and running smoothly in no time, and at minimal costs. We would never have had service like this with any other pool builder. Thank you again Frank!Original Post - 03/2018: We could not have made a better choice than Frank Lanzone to build our backyard pool. It is so rare today to find someone who meets (much less exceeds) your expectations, but Frank with Open Water Pools has done so. Frank worked within our budget to design and execute a beautiful pool, and did so in a timeframe that blew us away.
