I actually enjoyed my time here. The staff was friendly. The establishment was clean and very nicely decorated. It’s best to make an appointment because you may have a bit of a wait. The prices is very reasonable which I loved.I noticed when getting my full set acrylic nail done that they don’t have any of the nail filing machines you would typically see in nail salons. At first I was worried but then I realized that it was actually a good thing because my tech (Olga, who was amazing) really took her time and made sure I was satisfied before moving on. Same with my pedicure she was great!My only issue would be that there were no towels or paper towels to dry my hands when I was washing my hands and it would have been nice to have some kind of refreshments. Overall, It’s such a beautiful salon and I would definitely come back

I love coming here to get my lashes done. Ingrid, does a magnificent job. Shes amazing at what she does. She always makes me feel very comfortable and I always fall asleep lol but overall the customer service is superb and her work is marvelous.

Not impressed.I only went here because I had a Groupon and I thought I would check them out. I got the spa pedicure.Photos looked like this spa was somewhat upscale. That is inaccurate.Just because they have throne seats does not mean you will feel like a queen.They have white buckets with plastic bags for your feet. Not exactly elegant.The spa pedicure is supposed to be worth $60. No way! I usually go to Goshen Nails and pay $45 for a far better pedicure experience. The 55 minute spa pedicure was 35-40 minutes and not the pampering I would receive at Goshen Nails.When she drained the bucket, it goes into some piping system they have behind the chairs. It is noisy and once the bucket drained it smells like raw sewage. Gross!!!After she was finished my toes did not look all that great. My daughter could do better.And to top it off they do not have a dryer for your toes. Awesome. Wont be going back.

Book an appointment came early and still waited 30 minutes past appointment time. The nail tech who did my nails piled on the gel way too thick and to the point it wasn’t sticking on my nails. I had scheduled for a redo but couldn’t make it still waiting to hear from them about a rescheduling or refund it’s been over a month. When I call the phone goes straight to voicemail left a voicemail and never been called back and now their voicemail box is full.

Really love the place, its close to home and this has been the 2nd time that I have gone and Wendy has done an awesome job with my nails. I think I have found my favorite new place to go to now.👍

My wife brought me here, it was my first and her second. We both came out smiling and happy with everything. My wifes lady who did the full treatment for her is great and she always recommend her to friends. Her name is Catalina. The one that work on my foot was great too and her name is Windy. I recommend her as well. Great overall experience.

I’ve just got my eyelashes extensions today by Ingrid. This is my first time and I am very impressed. Ingrid took her time and she is very gentle. I was nervous to try this out, but it all worth it. I would highly recommended to everyone. Thank you Ingrid for making me look beautiful 😘😘😘

I wish I had read the previous reviews before I went to Serenity. someone from my daughters school recommended this place and I saw Olga from previous nail spa (Rose Nails) I used to go. I almost passed out when Olga was digging my ingrown... I was in so much pain and my toe was bleeding. Hopefully triple antibiotic ointment might heel my toe...

I tried mink eyelash extensions with Ingrid once and Ive been hooked ever since! She does a fantastic job and I get compliments about my eyelashes all the time. I highly recommend her.

I went yesterday had an appointment. Charged $12 for removal of old SNS. My nails look horrible! Very thick and all my nails beds are sore from filing on my skin! The table was dusty and dirty too. Total bill with tip was $68.40! One star because everyone was nice.

For my birthday my husband treated me to a surprise shellac manicure with a spa pedicure here with a discount for about $50 from Groupon. I will say the ladies here all seemed lovely and pleasant I was seen quickly. And my manicurist was sweet and tentative. Although the atmosphere was nice enough I did not like the furniture the white leather chairs were dingy and the grey pillows looked and felt beat up and rough this place will definitely benefit from a revamp of some kind. I’m not sure how long a spa pedicure was supposed to be or what is the difference between that and a regular pedicure but it was pretty quick like 20-30 minutes that’s how long regular pedicures are but I guess it was more about the experience, and now that I’m home one of my toes hurts a bit I think from my nail technician going a bit too deep under the nail during my pedicure. They also do not use any new nail filers or products to clean your feet which I thought was a bit gross I mean you could tell the files were used by all the white marks on them. And lastly the only place to wash your hands after nail filing and cleaning was in the bathroom which I found a bit odd I’ve never been to a salon that didn’t have and extra sink in the main room for cleaning your nails but that’s really neither her nor there in reference to my overall experience. Overall I had a decent experience there were some discrepancies but I’m still going to give 3 stars because the ladies I spoke to were sweet and great customer service is always importantly to me. Oh and my polished toes look aaaahhmazingggggg! 🥰

Flexible, beautiful and sanitarily clean from what I saw nail salon. I did a wax, gel manicure and regular pedicure. My friend joined and we felt comfortable enough to have long deep conversations while we were there.

Disclaimer:Giving it a one star cause I’ve to write this review or I’d give it negative rating.Just moved to rockville & clearly picked the worst salon of the country to get my nails done.I’m here not just to aware other customers but the owners to know what customers are looking for and how they need to change the place to run business.I took uber ($17) from my place to this salon & ended up in disaster.Things that went wrong:1.No front desk staff, no one to greet or ask why you are at the salon.2.Amature staff, people talk in there language & laugh/giggle looking at you3.Uncleanliness: uncleaned nail cutters and lotion bottles, everything was covered in dust4.lack of nailpolish colors and talent: had to pick 3 different colors because they don’t have the color I picked. They book your appointment when you call but tell you they don’t have experience in it & have to get done what they can do(I had booked appointment for polygel gel but got normal gel nailpolish)5.No courtesy: No one asked if I even need some waterThis is one crazy place I have ever been to, never going backwant to know the real tragedy? Look at the pictures(these were taken just 20 minutes after I got home from salon)

This is not the type of serenity I expected! The women were all acting like something was going on and there was a lot of tension in the air No one talked! Otherwise, its day 3 and nails are Okay.

Lifelong nail biter and I got a Groupon to get a mani pedi before a vacation and it was delightful! Super cute little place with a luxe feel! Katherine was fabulous! I will definitely be back!

This review is for Serenity Nail and Beauty Lounge in Gaithersburg off of Snouffer School Road. They do not appear in yelp except under this address. I used a Groupon and got a pedicure there last night. The woman who worked on my feet was very detailed and did a great job EXCEPT she dug so much into my big toe that it bled. The owner has to translate the situation and told me that it was an ingrown toe nail, no big deal, and the techs are supposed to let her know before they proceed with an ingrown toe nail. The owner applied some liquid band aid to stop the bleeding. It hurt and continued to hurt. The area is infected now. There were no apologies. No consolation. No remarks before I left except that the owner was surprised that my nails have never bled before after a pedicure. WHAT??????Just want to warn others. It looks like another customer had a similar experience. 05/03/2017

One of the worst mani-pedis I ever got. The pedicure wasnt thorough at all. Its almost like they had no real standard or process for the pedicure.I got the spa pedicure and it was still extremely quick. The chair was all white but very dirty. The materials they used didnt look like they cleaned them or staralized them unlike other nail shops where they take them fresh out of the pack. There was kids sleeping in the shop. The nail polish she used on me was extremely old. The owner also has her daughter working at the front and we discussed a price over the phone because of the Groupon. After my nails were done the mother refused to honor the price discuss and agreed upon by the receptionist/ her daughter. It took me 55 minutes to go into DC from the place and my nails still werent dry because they were so cheap and used very old polish!!! Too many nail shops to bother with this cheap horrid place. The place looks clean, big and and white in the pictures but in person it looks dull, small, and off-white gray because its old and dingy.

So I went to this salon like a month ago. I used the Groupon promotion since it was my very first time. The place looks amazing no doubt about that. The bad part is the nail technician seems not to know what she was doing wrong. The pedicure was ok she just cut too much of the dry/dead skin around the toe nails that made it hurt a bit. I was used getting my nails like that back home but since we are in the US alot of people will not be happy about that (it could cause a legal problem if your tech just keep cutting stuff w/o your clients concent). I know because the salon I used to work at they will not touch or cut deeper w/o the client asking them or even the client tells them they will not cut too deep (they rather be careful than sorry). The jel manicure sucks!!! (or just the nail tech)Like seriously? She will put the top coat already knowing that the color on my nails were oviously not even. When she put the 1st coat the polish seems to be running out since it was too light like almost clear polish looking like. ( it was fine with the first finger but getting worst w/ the rest). Even on her second coat it was the same I tought she will fix it. When she was about to put the top coat I stopped her but I think she couldnt understand me so I called the receptionist/owner she then saw what her tech did even she agreed it was wrong. She sudgested to change the polish color I was even fine w/ that since her technician was willing to let me go w/ a messed up nail color on my nails. The tech just then kept applying like 2-3 more coat just to make it looked like the 1st finger she did. I know that since she put too much coat I know it will get messed up. I was just really not happy about it. Also no apologies or whatsoever. They seems nice but the service sucks. Never again. Clearly the place is nice but that is not all about that. Client come for a good service the beauty of the place is just a plus.🙄🙄🙄

Horrible! Terrible! Made a reservation weeks ago, only to turn up and find out theyre closed for renovation ! Thats one hour Ill never get back.. but after rescheduling, I had to wait for another effing Half an hour!! If you have hours and hours to spend to sit an stare into blank space, this is the place to go!
