My AC unit recently went down and I called the professionals at Gator Heating and Air. A service technician named Mikey ( Michael) was very courteous and helpful on the call. He came out and thoroughly checked out my unit. He pointed out its advanced age and and suggested a new unit was recommended. When I informed him I couldnt make that move at this time, he was sympathetic and quickly repaired my unit. He suggested ways of prolonging its use. He was outstanding.

Why go anywhere else? Mike, Garret, David, and Maria were the best. This company did what was promised in the time promised. Professional work and reasonable prices. New A/C unit looks and runs great. They were all very upfront and detailed. Could not ask for anything better!

I switched to this HVAC company for all my repair and maintenance needs for an older home that has creative needs because the duct systems are retro-fitted and the house was built in 1928, dropping Mid-Fla (a comedy of errors, and didnt listen to my concerns which almost caused me some very serious problems...) Immediately the customer service experience was different. Mikey, Alex, Brian and Brandon are all phenomenal responding quickly, providing common sense solutions, and now I feel thoroughly take care of. Called for emergent repair to a fan motor in our system. Danny was excellent and got us back up and running quickly, we were toiling with the idea of replacing the entire system per their recommendation so they set us up with an aftermarket motor for a lower price point so that we wouldn’t lose out too much if we ended up replacing everything. We inquired on the possibility of using a 15% off repair coupon they publish on the website. We had to wait a couple days to get a response and we got two different stories. My fiancée called a few days later to try and get our receipt for the repair that took place and the estimate we were promised. She spoke with Ashley whose attitude was nothing short of horrendous, she was snippy the entire conversation. And not only informed her that we aren’t allowed to use coupons on aftermarket parts but that the aftermarket parts are not supposed to last long. We were NEVER told that this aftermarket option was compromising the longevity of the repair. She also ended the conversation by saying “tell your fiancé to check his email” as if we were in the wrong. I checked (for the 15th time) and confirmed that I never received it. I then called and another rep was unable to verify an email was ever sent, nor could they tell me what my email was (I texted it to the manager who promised to deliver). The manager finally called me back and told us he would build the discount into the replacement and that he did us a “favor” with the cost of the aftermarket motor. He then sent the email and quoted the wrong unit size he had recommended to us and after inquiring on why we were quoted the smaller unit, yet again we received no response. And still no receipt for our repair. Needless to say the follow up customer service we received once we paid for our repair was non existent.

Just had my Airconditioning system serviced for the first time since moving here two years ago. Spoke to Brandon on the phone and he sent Alex out the same day I called! Alex was very professional and knowledgeable, serviced my air conditioner and furnace, and even took the time to educate me on maintenance I should do in-between services! EDIT: I REPORTED THIS ISSUE AT 10:30 AM, NO-ONE REACHED OUT TO ME TO APOLOGIZE AT ALL, SO DO NOT COMPLAIN THAT I LEFT A REVIEW ALMOST 10 HOURS LATER.My apartment complex had this company come out to fix my AC unit last night and originally things went very well. Alex fixed the problem, than said he needed to check the unit indoors to make sure that the air was getting cooler, which I was fine with. The temp dropped from 75 to 72 within five minutes so I knew the issue was fixed, but that’s when the problems started. Alex told me that he needed to use the restroom, of course I said yes, he didn’t close the door at all and was trying to talk to me while he was urinating, I ignored this. After he was finished he said he wanted to make sure that the temperature continued to drop and said he was going to stay till it went down one more degree. While he was here for another 20-25 minutes he started telling me that he was hot, so I gave him a bottle of water, than he asked if he could use my shower to cool himself off. I was extremely freaked out at this point but just stood there kind of laughing cause I live alone and was afraid of what he could do if I freaked out. Than he asked if he could take a shower and if I would get into the shower with him, this is when I started to back away from him. He kept repeating that he wanted to take a shower and that I should join him. At one point he said all he needed was a pizza box and that the situation could “be a movie.” I was so scared I actually grabbed my phone and texted one of my guy friends and asked them to call and pretend to be my dad and say that there was an emergency so that I could ask him to leave without making him angry. I have never been so scared in my life. Alex is a sexual predator and should not be allowed to enter people’s houses alone.At one point he told me that his six month review was coming up and asked me to go onto google and leave him a review, so here you go Alex, here is the review you asked for.

My ac went I called several companies for a estimate on our ac,I spoke with Maria and she was the only company that offered to put in a loaner unit until our new ac was installed,not to mention their price was very reasonable and customer service is bar none,Mikey and Vince were out within the hour and we had a loaner unit,I understand this is not always the case but this was my experience,our new ac was installed 2 days later,Maria I would like to thank you and you whole staff for your great service and was a pleasure and I look forward to years of business with your company.

The repairman that came out the same day I called was very nice professional and knowledgeable. He only took a little while to isolate the problem (transformer inside the unit) and fix the problem with parts in his van. I want to thank him and all the team at Gator Air for a job well done!

Todd came out with another gentleman named Brandon to take a look at my AC outside unit, as well as the duct. He was very professional and pleasant to work with. He cleaned all ducts, inside unit & closet (didnt even charge for this), as well as outside units maintenance. I cannot recommend this business more. When I reached out to other local businesses regarding duct cleaning (including one in Orlando area via Google Sponsor Ad), they were asking $500+, whereas my total bill including the duct cleaning and maintenance was only around $300. Most importantly, only this and another business have BBB credited, so felt confident and safe to call from the beginning.

I am a return customer and recommend Gator Heating and Air Conditioning to all who ask me. My 26 year old unit has finally bit the dust. Matt was at my house last week and helped to get it running again. He went above and beyond the call of duty to arrange and get the part I needed and install it the same evening. Unfortunately, the easy fix was not enough and Mike came to look at my unit again today. After 26 years it’s not worth limping on any further. Mike provided me a quote and was very helpful to arrange a loaner unit to keep my family comfortable until the replacement is installed. I prefer working with a family run business. Maria at Gator Heating and AC sent repairman named Todd to my apartment to fix an issue I had with the portable AC unit they loaned out to me while were waiting for the install of our new HVAC. He was very nice and solved the issue promptly. He built a seal around the unit with some foil and now my apartment is much cooler for the time being! He wore a mask the whole time too. About 2 months ago my ac went out and this is my first time dealing with this since buying my home. I looked at the reviews and thought this must be the place to go cause at the time they had 4.9 stars, and about 300 reviews. The first guy came out and charged us to look at the machine, and had to come back with his tools on another day. The day he was supposed to come out to repair my unit he never showed up and never called to tell us he wasnt coming so we call and they said he was sick and sent somebody else in (maybe an honest oversite). and he didnt charge us more than the quote and it should have been more (the freon alone should have been more than $200 than what he charged us for). I was told that this repair should have kept my machine working untill the end of the year. Cause I didnt have the funds to buy a new unit. But not even a month later it goes out again. Now they say its gonna be a couple grand to fix. So I went ahead and bought a new unit. They showed up to my house without an appointment, which is fine because my house was hot and Id rather have ac now than a week later(but now Im supposed to cancel all my plans for the day?), so its whatever. The part that makes me the most upset is that they left trash inside of my house from the new unit. They left packing foam all over the ground on my patio as well as metal pieces, zip ties and ducktape from the old unit. Now this may not seem like a big deal it only took 30 mins to sweep up. However I feel that it is completely disrespectful l, and unprofessional. I came to this company because of the reviews about honesty and professionalism and I was met with disrespect. Im sure if I was a business and they cared about that contract. They would have had the decency to cleanup after the install. But I guess they figured now that I have a working ac and they have my money that it doesnt matter anymore. But I promise, if anything happens ac related out of warranty, Ill go else where.

Our air went out and while it took a little over two weeks to become fully functioning ( wasnt fixed correctly the first time and then had to wait on a part because we have an old system)...the company did everything possible to keep us comfortable by sending techs out anytime we lost our air while we were waiting for a part, even on the weekend. We had multiple different techs out to the house and all the them were a pleasure to be around!This review is a reminder that sometimes things go wrong and take longer then expected and thankfully this company has a great understanding of customer service. While there did seem to be a little disconnect between the main dispatch office and the techs but it didnt interfere with the service.I chose Gator Heating and Air based on their positive google reviews and it turned out to be the right call!

After having issues in the past with other companies, I decided to try this one. I am very pleased with the company and especially Mikey. I came home from work to a nonfunctional AC. Even though it was after 5pm Mikey came right out, and diagnosed the problem, gave me an accurate and fair estimate. He then ordered the needed part (compressor) and kept me informed daily. When the part arrived, he called and said he could install it immediately and that afternoon it was fixed. My best friend back in SC who has been doing HVAC for 40 years verified that Mikeys diagnostic work was spot on and the price was more than fair. After several bad experiences I feel I have finally found an excellent company and repairman and could not be more pleased.

In a really weird way, 1 of our fan blades to our ac split in half (on a Saturday evening) I called another company who charged an arm & leg to come out & see what we had already told them...they came out and said it would be 2 days for a part...day 2 came and this OTHER company called to say sorry didnt come in but will be in on Friday and we dont work late or on weekends!!! Livid isnt even the word as I had told them I had a son with epilepsy ( a rare condition called Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome)...they didnt care. In a panic I called Gator Heating And Air.....they told me to send pics of this blade and the fan....this company made a mad dash to get us a fan and then rushed to our property (as we were going on 5 days with NO ac in 85-90° weather). They were so amazing! Brandon, the manager came out. Super professional, compassionate and just all around awesome. The woman that answered the phone for Gator was also really amazing!! We have ac again & my son is much better! We are much better thanks to this company with great people. 5 stars isnt enough..they deserve 10 stars!!!! New customer for sure. I highly recommend. I also want to add...they did not charge an arm & leg and they were more cost effective and we saved some money!!!!

We had the bad luck of having two separate issues come up over the course of two months. First the air handler condensate line clogged, flooding our closet. Then less than two months later our blower motor stopped working. Mikey helped us on both occasions, and I was impressed by how quickly he made it out to our house and identified and fixed each issue (including on a Sunday morning). Very honest, friendly, and best of all effective.

My service technician was Todd. He was on time and called ahead to inform me that he was in route. He was very respectful, professional and knowledgeable of the job.He explained what he was doing and how to maintain my unit in between the yearly service maintenance. Had this company installed new AC 2013, started had problem with no cooling. Tech, Sean,(may not spell correctly)called, showed up on time slot. He quickly found the drain line backed up, trigger the sensor, cause air handler stop. After cleaned up the line, he also checked the pressure make sure no leak. He called couple hours later, ask the system function properly. Bought 10 years labor warranty, only paid for the service call. The service this time same as the first time when they installed new AC, showed up on time, made follow up call, ensured system operated good. Fair in price, I could not ask more from the service provided, strongly recommend.
