My favorite nail salon!! I love how they SOAK OFF the gel polish and don’t just go to town with the drill leaving my nails weak! Always friendly and always remember me when I come in! 💕

Girlfriend went to get a fill they told her since they were busy they couldnt fix a void that they created during the fill and gave her a small discount instead. Then told her they dont take debit/credit cards on Sunday. The money they might have gained by having the next customer sit in the chair they lost by trying to give a discount on poor quality and lost a customer on top of it. Will not spend a dollar there again. Not how a business like that should operate.

Most of the staff are nice! There are a few that are absolutely not. The place is dingy - a few stay fingernail bits laying around and general gunk build up on equipment. Prices are fair.

These guys are so friendly and do a great job. Went back several times and they still kept it up. Nice clean place, friendly atmosphere and they are quick. They listen also to what you want, not what they want to do. :)

So... Obviously busy when I arrived. They said it would be 10 minutes. While I question that, I thought I would wait and see what happened. It was 10 minutes before I got into the chair for a pedicure, but it was another hour, with my feet soaking in luke warm water, before someone could get to me. Then when I went to leave, I was told that they dont accept debit cards on Sundays (?). Im sure theres a valid reason for this but I have no idea what it is. They had me write a check, and then asked if I would leave the pay to the order of blank. I did not but they would not allow me to make the check out to the name of the establishment. All seems a little questionable to me. Pedicure that I received was nice. Relaxing. Polish looks great. Just questioning business practices.

Unix Nail Salon is the BEST nail/spa pedi/hair removal business in Freeport!!! They are so nice, their work is impeccable!! Their prices cant be beat!! They always go the extra mile to make sure the customers experience is top-notch!! Their ability to look at a photo of a nail design, and recreate it, is unbelievable!!! They really want their customers to feel at ease and just enjoy the entire spa experience!!!! Ill never go anywhere else!!

Has the best massage chairs Ive been in at a salon. Only been to 4 but of the 4 they are definitely the best. Walk-in welcome, very fair pricing and everyone is greeted by name after a time or two there. Always happy with my man pedi and so are my feet. Stop by for your mani/pedi and enjoy the day!

I honestly dont understand how this place possibly has a four-and-a-half star rating. Ive come to this place in the past and experienced slightly rude and inappropriate remarks from the nail technician. I let it go, however this last and final visit with this older lady, (who works there on Sundays, which is the only reason I have gone, because I needed my nails done on a Sunday) was extremely rude.Upon doing my nails I asked for an ombre design. I watched her do it on two nails. She asked me if I liked it and I indicated that it was blotchy and did not gradually fade like it was supposed to. She then told me she could not get it to look exactly like the picture because she was using a polish not a powder. I explained to her that I have had it done in the past and motioned to her how it was done.Note: By no means did I say it in an inappropriate way. The nail tech then said then why didnt you go back to that other place. I then promptly let her know because its Sunday and I had no other choice. She then stated well Ill try again but if you dont like it then well just do a plain color because I have to go. After that I showed her how they did it and then she mimicked what I had shown her. Well guess what? It looked better.To add insult to injury after she finished my nails, another person came to the door and indicated they want their nails done and she accepted them. So where is the urgency of leaving now.Attached is a picture of the one she did that was blotchy and the one she did after I should showed her how other nail techs have done it in the past to create the ombre design. The one she did first is on the left the one she did after I showed her how others have done it is on the right.Anyone who goes here needs to heed the warning. The place IS DINGY; just looking at the photos of others who have given a good review, the pictures of the nails look horrible thick and lacking expertise.

This was my first time at Unix, the service here was decent the people were very nice, but the facility was very dirty, they had a community vat of instruments in a container with fabric material and some sort of very light blue grayish chemical which im sure contained a different concoction of bacteria, toe jam, and nail clippings. My mother tried to use a gift certificate but it had expired and they said they wouldnt honor it at first but it was about $90 worth and they said we could use about $40 of it and they threw the rest out although this is their business practice, I think its tacky anyway for a business to put an expiration date on a gift certificate but I would not recommend buying a gift certificate from there for someone unless you know for certain they will use it right away. I got a french manicure and it lasted a long time which means they have good nail polish. I felt really uncomfortable the whole time as I kept thinking that I might contract some sort of bacterial infection on my feet by their poor standards in sanitation and by the way most of their equipment looked very dirty. The price was decent. I think I disliked it the most because of how icky it was there. Otherwise if it was clean and they practiced better sanitary skills I would say I would have given it at least 3-4 stars.

Place doesn’t have a lot of colors and give me bad vibes I had my mask on and another girl didn’t and she was only telling me to put mines and how to wear it

Took my daughter to get nails done. The nails look good but the workers are not nice. More like robots. They were not sociable.

It might just have been the person who did my nails but he rushed through it. My nails look super bumpy and the paint is all over the place as well as the acrylic. He didnt clean up edges. I will never go there again.
