Couldn’t be happier with the expertise, professionalism, and honesty with John from My Plumber. He diagnosed and repaired a septic clog within about 15 minutes and probably saved us some serious money. As he was buttoning things back up, we started chatting about the sulfur water smell we’ve been having since we moved in. He offered to check out our filtration system and knew what the problem was as soon as I turned the light on. Previous owners installed the wrong softener. We noticed a huge difference immediately, confirmed by John’s pre and post water tests. These guys are solid, highly recommend if you want it done right.

The response time for service, repair and replace parts to kitchen sink drains and re-install garbage disposal unit was exceptional. Within two hours of my call for service, Joe called and said he was on his way. Upon arrival, he assessed the situation, told me what needed to be done, and gave me a quote for the job. In the process of having a separate appliance repair company replace a part on my Bosch dishwasher, I determined I needed to replace the 50+ year old hot water valve to the dishwasher. A neighbor recommended MyPlumber, I called them and within less than an hour Adam arrived. This morning before 8 a.m. I received a text confirming my appointment and that I would be notified 30 minutes before the plumber arrived.I texted them at 4:30 p.m. because I still hadn’t heard from anyone.Right before 7 p.m. they finally reached out and said they couldn’t make it today. I was courteous enough to spend my entire day at home waiting for them, but they didn’t have the courtesy to even give me a timeframe of when to expect them, only for them not to show up at all.I can’t waste another day missing work for them to “maybe” show up. We were expecting to have a fairly large job done, but we will take our business elsewhere.

The team that replaced the water pipes in my house did a good job. They seemed considerate about the number of holes they cut in the house and were thorough in ensuring all of the connections were replaced and connected correctly (at least from the perspective of a customer and not an expert plumber). Also, they did a fairly good job in cleaning up after they were finished. However, I think they should have done a better job in cutting holes and retaining the dry wall for each particular cut. I have come to find out if they saved the dry wall cut out for each hole it could have saved me several hundred dollars in repair costs. Also, they became a little more reckless in my basement bathroom. The access panels they cut were sloppy, and not what I expect from professionals. They also left a piece of piping hanging from the bathroom wall that should have been removed, however, they did remove the piece when I asked them to do so. Secondly, we asked them about the water pressure, it seemed a bit high to us, but they assured us the pressure was within limits. I bought a water pressure test gauge and the pressure was 110 psi, at least 30 psi over the suggested normal pressure for a house (30 – 80 psi). Again, sloppy work. Neglecting to measure the water pressure, and providing us with incorrect information could, if gone unchecked, cost my family hundreds of dollars in water bills annually. Finally, just a minor thing. We also purchased a water filtration system. The senior technician failed to mention that the daily recycling process is loud. This may not have dissuaded us from buying the system, but providing a customer with all of the information is essential in building trust between customers and the company/people you rely upon to service your home. I think my trust in My Plumber has declined during this particular experience. We have relied on My Plumber for close to 20 years, and this experience has made me reconsider using the company and suggesting My Plumber to other people in the future.Not associated with this particular visit, I had previously asked for an extension to my My Plumber Plus service. I had signed up for this service for the first time back in January 2020, and then the COVID19 lockdown occurred in March 2020. My wife and I are seniors, so we were very cautious about letting people in the house during the height of the pandemic. Around Jan/Feb of 2021 I asked a My Plumber representative to extend our service due to the pandemic and our status as seniors. The service representative stated she would check on this, but I was never contacted and I did not follow up. We continued to have plumbing problems, and I mentioned this to the next service representative and he suggested I call again, which I did. I explained my problem/concern to the service representative and again she mentioned that she would pass this along, but again I never heard back, only to find out later that my My Plumber Plus service contract had expired and that I would have to sign up again for the service. Now you have new terms for this service agreement, which is more than I originally paid. Not following up and allowing my contract to expire before addressing my concerns is not the way to treat long-term customers especially, during this historic and stressful pandemic. This is not what I have come to expect from My Plumber. I think you can do better!

The technician Joe had a “nasty-nice” attitude. I paid this man $200 to complete a 10 minute inspection. No big deal (I got the answers needed). But, I was told there would be a $79 diagnostic fee, when I scheduled, however he rebutted and explained that because he “had to do what he had to do”....which consisted of running water, taking pictures of water in a tub, toilet tank, and checking the water heater it would cost $200. The amount is paid and done however I wouldn’t hire this man again simply because of his tone toward me. As a a new homebuyer, noticing urine colored water during the inspection process will freak you out, and I wanted to be clear on what issue I may have so I chose to hire a plumber to get a second opinion.I didn’t understand a simple solution to discolored water would be flushing the hot water tank.....however this technicians nasty attitude came out in the end and he definitely took advantage of a simple diagnostic situation.Of course his tone changed once the transaction was complete. Go figure. The point here is if I’m hiring you to do a task, keep your attitude and demeanor, and tone courteous. It’s so easy to get taken advantage of....if you don’t know which questions to ask and if your technician has a poor attitude toward helping customers. Trust me. I’m not upset about the money. I’m upset about the way this man was talking at me. As if I wasn’t paying him!! As a consumer I pay for customer service not just your expertise. Not everyone will be “nice” but at least don’t act annoyed especially when you plan to charge folks $200 for simple diagnostic work. Ugh.

I called and they said they would be there the next day between 9-12. Got there at 4 and only called at 3 to tell me. All I needed was a drain pipe replaced in a pedestal sink that I already had open and the replacement part. Im having surgery on my hand our I would have done this.They were very proud that they waived the $89 estimate fee and now, so am I!Took the gentleman probably 5+ minutes to use his tablet to come up with a very simple price.Bottom line...with senior discount...$475!We were in such shock, we just pointed him to the door. He said he tried to get me the best price but they never do anything under $300. I said that was even too much for this extremely simple project.UPDATE: Never got that call back.

We had an unusual problem with our furnace working in the day but shut off overnight. When Corey came out the first time there was not a code. He spent awhile looking through the whole hoax system, and asking me questions. He was able to restart the unit. He told me to call the next morning if the issue wasn’t fixed. So I called the next morning again and he came out. He again worked for awhile because again no code. Finally a code popped up and he was able to diagnose the problem....a faulty shut off valve. He was able to order the part and fix the problem. His professional demeanor and customer service was top notch. Highly recommended!

I moved into a new house Monday, July 27. By Thursday, July 30, we identified that the hot water heater was not working. I have a home warranty, but I decided to call a plumber directly in order to have someone come by the same day. Being new to the area, I did a Google search and found My Plumber. They sent a plumber out that evening.As soon as he saw the water heater, he pointed out corrosion on pipes coming out of the heater. He told me that that likely caused the water heater to break and told me that I needed to install a Flow-Tech in order to prevent scaling. He said if I bought that, he would attempt to fix the water heater for free. I agreed, and he worked on the water heater for a little over an hour before telling me that he could not fix it and it needed to be replaced. He quoted me on the cost of a new heater. I told him I would call the home warranty to replace the heater.He then installed the Flow-Tech. After he left, it just didnt look right to me. The device has a screensaver made to look as though it is measuring power consumption and radio-frequency emanations. I worked as a signal analyst in the military and since then have been studying and employed as a technologist. The claims of how the device works did not match what was being shown on screen.I then went and did research and found that anti-scaling mechanisms, such as Flow-Tech, do not have any peer-reviewed research indicating that they function as claimed. Anti-scaling mechanisms are labeled as at-best being pseudoscience. Researchers are unable to recreate their claims outside of laboratory or industrial settings. I immediately called customer service and told them what I found and requested that they allow me to return it and refund my $1960. I was told that the manager was already out for the evening and that I could expect a call the next day.The next morning, I went to the utilities closet and saw that the installer left the original packaging with the manual. I referenced the manual and, recognizing that it was well within my capability, uninstalled the device. I placed it in its original packaging and brought it upstairs to work.A few hours later, the customer service manager called me. I informed her that I had uninstalled the device and that I wanted them to pick it up and refund my money. She said that since I removed it, the device would have to go to the manufacturer for them to make a determination that the product was not damaged before I could receive a refund. Given that the manufacturer peddles snake oil, I do not trust them to make a fair and accurate judgment regarding whether or not the product is damaged.After this, the manager of the company contracted by my home warranty came to the house to work on the heater. He told me that the gas regulator needed to be replaced because someone had cut the safety switch off of the thermal coupler and attempted to splice the copper back into the regulator without the safety switch installed. The switch is designed to trigger whenever it conducts excessive temperatures, acting as a safety mechanism on a gas water heater. Ultimately, he was able to fix the water heater that My Plumber had told me was broken.I called customer service again hours later and was met by the representative that I spoke with originally on the prior Thursday. They told me that their manager was out of the office but that the ticket had been marked resolved and so I would have to wait another 24-48 hours before hearing from a manager. They also informed me that the status still read that the manufacturer will be making the judgment on whether or not I receive a refund.This is a dishonest, fraudulent company.EDIT: I ultimately received a refund, but it required me getting the attention of upper-management to be promptly addressed. While Phil was professional and promptly handled the matter, I still cannot recommend this company.

I have home warranty. I didnt have no water at all unfortunately they didnt have any company close to my area to resolve my issue. They give me the option to called someone else and they will do a reimbursement.My husband found My plumber plus and I call them, secretary was helpful, she puts me in for the same day diagnostic 15 minutes after I call Ted Proper was at my home. My well pump needed to be replaced but before they gave me 100% diagnostic about the well pump they also send John Thomas to make sure that my problem wasnt electrical since there was a storm the night before and the light went off after that we didnt hace no water and the water braker turns off every time we turn it on..They gave me the best price and came back the day after to replace my well pum. Im more than happy with our service and the quality of work Ted Proper and John Thomas did on our home.My home warranty didnt want to authorize them to do the work the day after they wanted them to wait 3 days until they give them authorization. We feel so pamper with John Thomas he call our warranty and he talk to them for a long time until they agree for them to do the Job!!!!If we have any problems on the future we will be more than happy to call them and ask for the same workers if they are available.

Do not use! Have had over 10K of work done by them. Takes multiple times to get it right. Called yesterday, since a snake of the line in our house was done around 2/25 and is clogged AGAIN. Jennifer very nasty when I asked if it was at least under warranty. Yes, we had the camera check, and was told the best thing to do was replace a pipe. No, I was NOT told that it was going to clog again less than 3 weeks later.Troy, the tech was supposed to call yesterday to discuss, but he never did. They charged $985 to snake the line - its $115 at another company in Fredericksburg.

I called late in the evening (6:30ish) with an issue and as I was calling, I was thinking, “there is no way anyone would be working non-emergency hours and be able to come fix the leak. But let me see if they are or how much emergency hours would cost.” They did have a technician available to come out under regular working hours (until 9 pm) and he was phenomenal! Even though it was late he took the time and effort to ensure the leak was fixed satisfactorily and helped to educate me on proper care and maintenance of our system. He truly showed his love of helping others and getting the job done correctly and efficiently. It is nice to have someone look out for you and your property as if it was his own.

So impressed with the service from this company! Our AC went out overnight. I called at 7:30am the next day & they were able to have a technician to our house within an hour. The timeliness of the appointment was especially important since we have an infant in the home & are in the heat of the summer. In addition to the quick response the technician provided excellent service and throroughly explained the situation. I had a positive experience to a not so positive situation. Mr Lee Davidson came out to check out my AC unit that I thought I would have to replace. Due to his diligent trouble shooting and great explanation along the way I only needed parts replaced. We had an annoying and ongoing water pipe noise in our wall especially when turning hot water faucets on on our upper level and when operating the dishwasher. Joe Leffler with My Plumber came, listened to our concern and checked every water valve and faucet. He confirmed the pipe noise in a water chase wall on our upper level. He also checked the water heater and incoming water pressure. He matched pressure tank on water heater pressure to incoming water pressure valve reading. Then turned on all faucets to rid them if air until water flowed full force. The water pipe noise within the wall subsided significantly to just a faint noise. Hes a pro and left leaving us more peace of minded and less fearful that the water pipe noise could lead to a major interior wall pipe failure...and our house is much quieter when water faucets are turned on and off. Curtis, the plumbing engineer was great. When our sink was clogged and we literally spent all night (6pm to 7am) trying things to get it working. I was already irritated that we had to call a plumber. After Curtis arrived, he had to speak with the landlord to coordinate things with the insurance company but patiently handled it and didnt let it show if it bothered him (Im sure it would me). After the coordination was done, he brought in the equipment and began work. We talked a bit about how the drain is used and what is the proper way to use the disposal. Hoping Ill never have to call again but would request him again if possible. Definitely gets my recommendation for being personable and knowledgeable. Thanks Curtis .
