Frederick lacks in heavy hitter barbers linked with a heavy hitter Barbershop. Affiliated shop has it, the vibe of a inner city Barbershop. Several Barbers that can go! Marco is my guy though. Ive been dealing with him for a while and he always gets right. Is always on time and communicates efficiently when he will be off and makes time to get me in prior to vacations or whatever. He does a excellent job overall and Id recommend Marco for anyone looking for consistency and professionalism. He will get U right, no doubt.

Horrible cut by Marco. Was an hour late so I left and rescheduled. Got my haircut the next day. Taking a video for work showing the back of my head two months later and realize the back of my hair is not straight! It looks like I had my head sideways when he lined me up!The barbershop is great, but I have had too many bad experiences with Marco. He is always really late, at least 30 minutes late. It is expensive and the haircuts are awful. I got charged 30$ to have a sideways fade 😂😂

I walked in with out an appointment and my man Chris made time to Cut my Sons hair. All I can say is He asked me to relax, have a sit as he knew what would look good on my son. 25-30 mins later he was done and he keep his word, my sons hair was looking good. Chris you earned a customer that day and would recommend you to anyone I know. Great job my man. The photos are a week old but still look good.

This place is great, clean, friendly, funny people and one of the best barbershops I have been to. Andrew was great and did an awesome job with my hair!! He answered any questions I had about my hair with confidence, which meant he knew what he was doing and he really cares about his craft. He also made sure my waves 🌊 were still spinning at end of the day with the high taper fade with the crispy lineup. I definitely recommend going to this guy.

Arrived 5min early. The barber i was scheduled for wasnt ready. Fyi, he didnt finish until about 30min after i sat down. I was cut by a humble down to earth barber but that lacked some of the basic skills. My suggestion, if youre referred to a barber there... dont sit with anyone else. My mistake, but it was my birthday and i needed a cut. Also, as a barbershop owner, i wouldnt allow my employees to perform such a poor job. Good luck.

Chris just cut my sons hair for his first cut! Hes just under two years old so my son was NOT a happy camper(tptal understatement) but Chris was totally patient and totally awesome! He did an AMAZING job.I give credit to everyone else in the shop as they were taking it like champs as well.I would recommend a million times!!!

My friends came from out of town and went to this shop. They sent this man out with one of the worst cuts Ive ever seen. He booked the appointment through an app and couldnt cancel the appointment after being greeted with unprofessional disrespect. So he decided to instead of losing out on $35 he would just have to stay. Not checking the mans work he gave the man a $10 tip and was on his way. Whoever Marcos is needs a serious reality check when conducting business. You will never see my business again.

We took our 6yr old son to get his hair cut by Cole tonight. He was so friendly and good with our son. He took his time and made sure his cut was perfect and it’s the best haircut he’s ever had! Needed a cut in late June after over 3+ months pandemic isolation before leaving 5-day cross-country drive to a summer promotion assignment in CA Sierra foothills and in Frederick for the day away from Purcellville home barber. Called a few barbers and settled on Affiliated and got scheduled for a cut with Rakim. Going to a barbershop for a woman’s short haircut. Rakim told me tales of off season snowboarding while cutting away on my head, saying I reminded him of his grandmother. The locks flew! When I got up to leave everyone was surprised at how short my hair was. It was perfect! Three months later it has grown in, still looks great! Never had a cut so good. Thank you Rakim! Highly recommend Affiliated. Will be back when I return to VA/MD.

First I want to say I had a great experience in this shop today. Couldnt stop laughing all the barbers might be comedians Alittle bit lol. Anyway Im new to Frederick and had been researching barbershops and not knowing anyone I had to pick based off reviews and this place came up with 4.9 outta 5 stars. Now I called today at about 10am spoke with Atalya (Attie) who I asked if they had any openings today around 5p she said yes and we setup an appt. Let me tell you this was the first time I ever got my haircut by a women (so naturally a bit nervous). Now I was on like my 3rd or 4th week of no haircut and so as my mom would say I was wolfin it. Everything was untamed. She did a great job of asking me what and how I wanted my beard, haircut, sideburns etc... and did exactly what I wanted. Got me looking like new money and she got the nod from my harshest critic my fiancee so needless to say ill be going back next time shes in. Let me start by saying Im not usually the one to write negative reviews, but after having my time wasted two days in a row by the owner himself, Chris AKA Colekutz... it left a very bad & unprofessinoal taste in my mouth.I have had my hair cut by Chris once before at a different shop, before Affiliated opened & the hair cut wasnt bad, & we were talking most of the cut, it wasnt a bad experience, wasnt the best cut/experience Ive had at a $30 price point, however it was good enough for me to give him another try a few months later... which was yesterday June 18th...I had an appointment set for 4:00pm, I walk through the doors at 3:57 & see him cutting a clients hair, he was mid conversation so I just went & sat in the waiting area (where I can be seen/see his chair still)... 25 minutes later, not one person in the shop has said a word to me, including Chris... I walk over to explain that its my girlfriends birthday & I cant wait any longer its been almost 30 minutes & I can see his current cut isnt finished... Chris acknowldges me by my name Kyle.. Kyle right? My fault about the wait, I can have you out of here in 20 minutes... Well, it would have been much longer, PLUS I dont want my haircut rushed through in 20 minute..again, its $30 haircut... I declined the offer & said I had to run, Chris offered me a 1pm appointment the following day, which I was leery to even accept, but I did... then he said the cut would be on him, which was cool & he was trying to make things right, so I said Id be there at 1pm..Today I show up at 1pm, I walk inside & Chris is not as his chair, so I go & sit in the waiting area again... after about 5 minutes some one walks over & asks youre here for Cole right? which I said yes... its now 1:13pm & Im getting more upset by the minute thinking about what had happened yesterday so I just decided to leave, two wasted trips to the barber shop later... still no hair cut.I have not heard from Chris at all it is now 2:01 pm, almost a full hour after my appointment, which he no showed, Im assuming he forgot about the appointment all together.Its unfortunate because a solid barber with the drive Chris has for the industry is hard to come by in this area, but I will have to start making the drive to Montgomery County again for my cuts.
