I am new to the area and I just left this horrendous establishment and I couldn’t be more upset. I believe my barber’s name was Jake and as soon as he began cutting my hair I knew it was all downhill from there. A tell tell sign of a bad barber is being too gentle and barely pressing the clippers to your head. That is how my entire experience went. I asked for a temp fade and the man had no technique of how to perform a very simple haircut. There is no progression of blending my hair up to the top, neither sides of my head are even, and my lineup is flat out weak. I paid $35 to come home and watch YouTube tutorials to try and fix my hair. Do not come here.

By far the worst barber experience ever. Zero customer service skills, they do not listen to customers directions, loud music. Very rude barbers with no hair cutting skills. I will never go again. I would have given them a negative score but the lowest here is 1.

This place is ratchet, youd think all the polite young men that are employed there, the ones standing around smoking and talking during business hours would ever pick up a broom and sweep up the hair from the brushes they empty on the side walk and such. Every salon/ barber shop downtown can keep their fronts clean but for some reason this place is the horrible exception. I rented from the same slumlord, in an apartment above them three years ago and it has hair everywhere in the front then too and the pictures I attached is a regular sight along the front of the shop.Also lets not pretend that building is in code at all.

Steve the Barber. He is the 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ in Best kept Secret. His talent is exceptional. He understands styling and knows what looks good for you. Great humble prices. One day, I hope he knows his worth. The loyal will follow you if you want to change it up.

Great shop. All the barbers are great at their craft. I go to Steve kazpa but if I didnt go to Steve everyone other barber puts out great quality cuts. Rare to find I. Barbershop

Went to get extensions on my dreads. Biggest mistake ever. The girl didn’t know what she was doing. A couple years later I had to cut my dreads because they were too heavy. She did the extensions over my natural dreads. Not at the tips. That’s a no no in hair and if I wasn’t nice I would have probably shot the place up.

My daughter had a 10 a.m. appointment with Tammy to get her hair cut. Tammy was 45 minutes late! I love supporting my black businesses, but this is totally unprofessional and unexceptionable. The owner needs to re-evaluate and assess what image she wants for her business.

A fantastic place for top-notch service that is customized to your needs. Ethnic hair is their specialty. The owners and staff take the time to do a top-notch consultation and personalize your treatment . An exceptional experience!

I’ve been to this shop three times and had different barbers each time. Was unhappy with my haircut all three times. The barbers don’t seem very experienced and for what they charge I would expect much better. This past experience had me debating on shaving my own head when I got home.

I would drive to Baltimore before ever coming back to this place. A first and last for me.VERY unprofessional! Tammy was 1 hour late showing up to an appointment booked and I confirmed with 3 texts prior in the week.To make things worst, another appointment came in halfway through my appointment. Instead of having the decency to give me my time Tammy decided to start on the other client. 15 minutes later she comes back to me.I chose not to say anything because I wanted her to be herself, especially if I was going to have regular appointments which was the plan before the appointment.After the appointment my hair looked rushed and not neat. I could have paid a highschooler with no experience and at least feel like I got what I paid for.After doing more thorough research after the appointment I was not shocked to find out Tammy is not a licensed loctitian! Who is this person!!!!I am new to the area and am looking for a new place for my natural hair appointments. This is definitely NOT it.You have been warned.

The best hair cut I had in years.These guys take their time and will never rush your hair cut.Ive been to all the popular shops in Frederick and can say no one comes close their level of quality. I will be going back.

My wife and I are from out of town and wanted to pay for our daughters hair . Contacted this salon and could not get anyone to help me with payment. Finally got hold of the person in charge who instructed me to contact the person scheduled to do her hair. So we contacted Lavern. She told us she couldnt accept credit cards only cash and we needed to download the cash app. Which we did. Then she texts my wife to tell her that this app isnt working for her and she will need to wire the money. This made us uncomfortable but we really wanted our daughter to have this appt. so my wife asked where to wire it and she said western union through Walmart. After all of this (thankfully before we sent the money) she texts my wife the night before the scheduled appt to tell me she has cancelled my daughters appt (that we have had for a week) so that she can see someone else who just called her. Not acceptable from any business!!!!
