Had two pretty negative interactions on the same day with different members of the staff. The first was over having music on my phone, my headphones had died so I had music playing quietly on my phone. I guess their is a rule against this Im not aware of which is fine. What isnt on is a member of the staff glaring at me then snapping that I need to turn my music off. The next came a few minutes after a different member of the staff approached asking if Im active duty, and even though the gym was fairly empty, because it was peak hours she told me I still must leave. I guess retirees health isnt important...

Base fitness center- must have base access and be eligible to use facilities.

Good, clean, well equipped gym, but staff have nothing to do but fixate on IDs and attire. Now shorts shorter than figure-length arent allowed per the sign. SMH. Are we still in middle school? Split shorts fall far short of the finger-length test, so this fitness center isnt friendly towards serious runners anymore, just your causal joggers trying to get a few miles in if that. Shouldnt make the dress code more restrictive than any other gym.

I go here everyday just because its free for me and well its convenient if you work on the station. But it always smells like old sweaty people thats because there are always old retired vets in there so its not bad I just think its time for an upgraded gym. Its rundown and old they need to revamp it. Make it bigger!

If you like working out on top of the person next you, look no more. If you like a gym that is not 24 hours, again, look no more. The gym is not bad, honestly, but the it appers to be composed of 40% active duty military and 60% retired personnel from every inch of Texas. If it were open to only active duty, I feel it would be much more beneficial. Dont get me wrong, I am the first person to thank all veterans that came before me and sincerely appreciate their service, but there are 50 gyms in Fort Worth, why overflow the base gym?

What can I say, its the base gym. Customer service doesnt have to be any good and amenities are what they are. NAS Fort Worth JRB doesnt get money for anything. The same stuff for the past 30 years...

Decent, clean, gym with plenty of equipment. They are overbearing when it comes to signing up and very pushy with the personal training offers. They also squeeze every penny out of you with membership fees, annual fees, and activation fees. Good luck canceling your membership, their customer service is terrible and they require you mail them a canceling request form which has to postmarked by a the 20th or youre paying the next month in advance anyway. Nice gym, AWFUL business.

Layout of this gym is not great. It’s an antiquated mode of thinking. Need to dedicate more space to HIIT/Crossfit and not the old style of cardio room and weight room.

Provides the weekly grind while on the road! Extensive gear exceeds the need/desire. Short of not having towels for use(?), the gym steps up to the plate! Opens at 05...beat the rush!

Not the best gym I have ever been to, but it is free to those who have access to the base. The machines seem to work most of the time. There are tons of cardio machines for use, you just sometimes have to work around people who hog machines. Most people rack their weights after use, but not always. This gym has all the basics you might be looking for, but not many machines, so what you are looking for may be occupied at times. They also offer a variety of classes and personal trainers for free to active duty and a small fee for dependants. I enjoy the HIIT class they offer as it gives you a great workout.
