I enjoy working out here! The facility is nice and there are a variety of amenities, plenty for everyone. Everyone is very professional.
The people that work there are nice and they don’t bug you, but my biggest complaint is that there are always paper towels on the floor, on the equipment etc...the locker rooms aren’t very clean either, there’s trash on the floors and counters. I just feel like they need to have a cleaning person walking around cleaning.
I really enjoy working out at this place. It’s so chill and peaceful. Also they don’t bug you at all about anything or try to make you buy anything like most places do. They’re just chill. Also free parking for 4 hours If you park in the garage next to the gym.
The fans upstairs have made the ‘no a/c’ situation a lot better and way more bearable, however the bottom floor is still always SO hot. The water from the sinks in the women’s locker rooms/bathrooms is boiling hot, it’s almost unbearable to wash your hands when needed. Our membership is pretty expensive for them not to be able to take care of these kinds of issues.
I’ve been to quite a few LA fitnesses & this location is my favorite. Although the free weights & plates aren’t the newest, they have a wide variety of equipment & multiple of the most used equipment. Weights & things in general are kept in good order & clean.
This La is one of the worst I’ve been to. The Gym is poorly maintained. Dirty, damaged equipment, dingy lockers, a consistent surplus of un-racked weights, and an overall neglected facility. In the almost year I’ve been here I’ve never once seen an employee taking the time to clean any part of the fitness floor. With COVID cases spiking in Texas you’d imagine cleanliness would be a top priority of the company. Simply disappointing
The staff is very professional and answered all questions. Also has a young lady Savana that handles the daycare for the facility. She is incredible
Nice gym, but good god is there even a/c upstairs?
I have been going here for over a year and half now and so far my experience has been enjoyable. They have the machines I need do my workouts. My only complaint is they do need more cable attachments for the cable machines upstairs. You tend to have to walk around the entire gym finding attachments since there is only one or two of each type for the entire gym. I ended up buying my own and bring them everyday so I don’t have to. Evenings during weekdays are packed as are most gyms, but you are still able to find areas to workout. I have only had a handful of occasions I was waiting on machines or weights so not bad. Both the staff and individuals working out have be all been respectful and polite when I go. It is located in a great spot, with lots of covered parking which the gym validates every visit for free.
Tried to cancel my membership here just because I went to another gym that was closer to where I live. They said I can’t cancel my membership over the phone and that I had to physically come in and couldn’t provide a reason why. For that inconvenience and obvious scam I will never be returning to another LA Fitness again. The manager also had a bad attitude on coming in after I mentioned these practices to them and said it’s to prevent fraudulently cancelling memberships, which makes no sense and is just an excuse to make it inconvenient for people to cancel. Above all that they are anti-2A.
The locker room is 90 degrees and humid. Tried to go to work after working out, took a cold shower and still proceeded to sweat through my clothes. Would not recommend this location if you every choose to use the locker room.
Pretty dated facility....time for an upgrade! They could at least keep things functional.....like the bathrooms! No hot water for weeks at a time!? What!?
Caleb Grassi gave me a tour of the gym and did a amazing job super professional and informative! Front Staff is awesome and very welcoming as well💪
It’s a nice space, tons of equipment and machines. More than I’ve ever seen at any gym. Even at its busiest, you won’t have an issue getting your workout in.However I really don’t think they clean this place. It smells gross and sweaty everywhere you go, and it’s def soaked into the seats/weights. The barbells are all worn down and have zero grip. I’d recommend getting gloves or something because you don’t want the bar slipping out of your hands in the middle of bench, deadlifts, or rows. They really need some upkeep and replacing worn out equipment.Gets the job done tho
Very small gym. Very hot and humid. Filled with college kids. This LA Fitness is stuffy and small. Seems to not have as many options for machines. No racquet ball courts at this location.
Just went in to check out the gym for a second time. Brad was super friendly and walked me through the gym policies about only being allowed 1 guest pass in a 6 month period but still let me hit the treadmill for a day. This is where I want my business to go. Just earned himself another customer. Switching over tomorrow.
This place is amazing. The staff and Friendlys is consistent daily. They remember you. All of them and interact as such. My personal trainer consult Kiyra was AMAZING.. Loaded with knowledge. Their pulling TCU Grads to assist you in your goals. My partner is a trainer. I learned things I never heard. If your in the fence? Visit and try before you buy but bring your debit card. You will be hooked! Good luck!
It is a great place. To get a great workout. If you like to be on membership. Great, cya Drew M.
The cleanliness of this gym is below average which is interesting since everyone had to start paying an additional cleaning fee due to the pandemic. No one wipes down the machines after they use them so make it your responsibility to wipe it down before use. They also DO NOT enforce the mask policy regardless of the “Mask Required” sign on the door. The only reason I go to this gym is due to the hours they are open, but am actively looking for another place to go.
Used to think this location was great until they changed their requirement of wearing a mask to ONLY entry and exit. For a gym to be located downtown you’d think there would be stricter regulations and updated equipment.
Felt like I was working at a gym in La, California.
Got aggressively pursued into a personal training program. Walked away after he clicked through things very quickly and it ended up charging my card. Called today and the managers “were away.” Next time I speak with someone it will be with a third party present based off of what I have read in these comments. This is NOT how to treat someone in a pandemic and recession or at any time really. This is predatory.
Dont. Sign. Up. For. Personal. Training.Bottom Line Up Front. Their special price is $180 per hour of personal training. They wont disclose that, theyll say its $60 an hour.I came into the gym, which I intended to use daily. They talked to me about personal training. I thought to myself, “you know, why not, the fitness industry is dying over Covid 19, I want to support them a little so I’ll do the personal training” - (even though it’s $60 a session- which is high). So get this - $60 a session - that was their “special price,” only good for 1 day. It’s one of those classic scams of “act now, we cant give you any time to think it through because it’s a limited time offer” - which is always a sure clue that you are being hustled. So yea, the sales rep said this price was a limited time offer only offered on the first day - then the price of personal training goes up. So I go home, think about whether I can afford it, and then think to myself “okay I would like to hire a trainer.”Once I started training, the first session was lackluster. And very short. It was then that I learned that it’s $60 for 20 minutes. Yep, $180 an hour. And while the personal trainer was a nice guy who I did like, the workout he was supposed to “plan” for $180 an hour was basically me just doing my regular workout. By myself. And do you think that personal trainer is getting any of the $180 an hour? No, my brother worked there as a personal trainer and they don’t pay their trainers much at all.Yea 20 minutes for $60 was not disclosed up front. $180 an hour was not disclosed. Yea I didn’t read the fine print at the bottom, but we had a verbal contract from my view. And that contract was breached.I got hustled. When I brought it up to the manager, he said I could just buy out my contract for $800 bucks, 50% of what my contract would have cost. Yea right. So what I did, and what I advise you to do, is I just canceled the transaction on my credit card. Why pay $800 buyout when it’s only $50 to take it to court if they try and bill you. Let them come after your credit report, trust me, you can refute it, and small claims court will cost $50. Cost them more money than they are gonna make off you and they will leave you alone. For context of what a trainer should cost, you can hire a blackbelt in jujitsu for $60 for a full hour and get 10x a better workout. $60 an hour is a fair price. $180 is nuts unless your rich dad buys your car for you and you don’t actually work for your money.Other than the sales staff, the gym is decently nice. They would’ve had a lifetime loyal customer if they weren’t so myopic. I just don’t understand the short-term thinking for a quick buck.I never had this kind of issue at 24 Hr fitness, where I am going back to (I only left 24 Hr fitness because I moved into a new part of town).Yea it’s a used car lot attitude there.
I have been trying to cancel my membership since the beginning of December 2020. I have mailed my cancelation, I have called 3 times and I have presented myself at the gym to cancel and the individual who is the only one who can cancel is never there. I have exhausted all resources and all I want I to cancel my membership ASAP.I have emailed LA fitness and if all else fails I will have to cancel my card just to stop services. This place is ridiculous and they are there to only rob you of your money.
This used to be my favorite LA FITNESS. Over time, the equipment has not been updated or cared for. One of the most infuriating things is for the entire gym they have one barely usable handle. You cant do cable crossovers in this gym. Even though they have multiple set ups for it they only have one handle. Ive complained repeatedly to management. This has been going on for months. Evidently LA FITNESS Corporate doesnt care enough about the members in Fort Worth to provide them basic equipment to use. Any other gym wouldve thrown the remaining handle away. The handle is stripped of all the rubber and the straps are frayed to the point of being dangerous.
For the past year almost, they A/C has not worked. The put 2 industrial fans in but it doesnt help at all. The mens locker room smells like gym fungus and is beyond humid in there, and it isnt because of the saunu. There is no air circulation in the entire facility.
Great place to spend a few hours each day working out
Clean facility, awesome layout and setup, plenty of weights
Great gym 🥰
I called, emailed, and went in to the gym to cancel my family gym membership because my family is considered high risk with Covid-19. On the phone I was told to go in because my membership could not be canceled over the phone. So...I went in to cancel. As of July 15, I was charged again for my family membership almost 6 weeks after I canceled. The manager has magically just stepped out each time I have stopped by or called over the last 6 weeks. As well, I have never gotten the promised call back. I just got off the phone with a woman (second call today) who told me the manager was off for the day and I could like call customer service or something but I dont know if they can do anything. What a trial! Even if we are able to join a gym again, I will never go to or recommend LA Fitness. They have a serious quality control issue with employees. Maybe its because the manager is never in?Warning! You can sign up but you can never cancel as promised/stated in the contract.
Some of the staff was really rude today.
Great place to work out
Everyone should go see the Training Director Brad! He is so smart and got me and my wife set up with the best trainer Taylor!!
Really good customer service and nice facility. Travis was super helpful on my first day!
Great the people dont interrupt you and they let you work out
This gym does offer a lot of cardio machines, weight machines and free weights. It has a good basketball gym, spin room, pool, etc. The locker room is strangely hot and humid often. No towels. No cold water. The class schedule is limited if youre in to that. They offer child care, but Ive never used it.
I regret joining this gym. There is always something major not working and it usually takes months to get it fixed. The AC in the Mens locker room has been out for almost the entire summer making it like a miserable sauna. There is no way to cool down after a workout. There is also no cold water in the faucets or showers, only hot, sometimes very hot. Not a good combination with no AC in the locker room. The pool heater is also out for extended periods of time rendering the pool usable by Polar Bears only. The excuses for the extended outages are always the same - the part is on back-order, they shipped the wrong part and we had to re-order, blah, blah, blah. And, management couldnt care less. Did I mention that the equipment is old and tired, often out-of-order and never replaced? This gym is so bad that even though I office in the same building in which it is located I now drive quite a distance to work out at another club.
They do not have lockers available. its something that doesnt make sense I go to other gyms where that doesnt happen. I let the team know but they didnt do anything about it, they just apologized.... BAD SERVICE!!!!!!!
I love this place!I have seen Raj for personal training for almost a year and it’s a blast. He’s great with our workout plans and makes us sweat without being miserable! Very flexible. It did take a couple of months to get into a groove as far as a set time slot but it works perfectly now! He’s the best and I love the support I get from the other trainers while we work out.
It’s a sauna in this gym. The AC never works and they continually push personal training on you. I had one guy jump on the treadmill next to me as I was running just to tell me about personal training. Come on bud. Personal space
Did a spin class. All good.
I love the west 7th location. The equipment is newer and very nice. Lots of places to go do things after workout. Parking is free in ramps if you get ticket validated inside gym.
This place is actually VERY busy Friday nights! Cant even use the rowing machine best time to go is 1st thing in the morning. Or right before closing on the weekends.
The gym is clean, meaning that there isnt trash on the floor, but most of the machines have a grimy feel to them. The main drawback, however, is the staff and management. The entire team has a used-car-salesman vibe and its really off-putting. If you go as a guest or non-member, they will take your phone number from the visitors pass that you are required to fill out and pass it to everyone in the sales department, without your consent. I received calls and texts for over six months from several different phone numbers and it felt extremely invasive. If youre a member, on the other hand, you will not be greeted upon entry. You will receive only blank stares from the staff, and they will struggle to answer even the simplest of questions. I finally tried to cancel my membership and even that is impossible. You need to print out a form and mail it in to their corporate office. Once they receive your form, there will be a 40 day waiting period in which you are still required to pay for the membership. Then, finally, 40 days after you have completed, printed, and physically mailed in the form, you will be released from the contract. Im still in the waiting period so lets see if the cancellation goes through.
I had a membership here and rather enjoyed it until the day I was aggressively pressured into paying for personal training. The trainer interrupted my workout by feigning a friendly introduction and proceeding to ask if I wanted a workout partner the next day. Perhaps naively, I accepted. After our workout, I was given a high-pressure sales pitch for training that didn’t stop once I left the gym. I received texts on my personal phone over and over from the trainer trying to harass me into committing to spending hundreds of dollars per month on training. I was so discomforted by this aggressive behavior that I promptly canceled my membership which I would otherwise still have.
Great staff, and super cool location!
Some serious plumbing issues going on here. Water only comes out of the sinks to wash your hands scalding hot. Scalding hot as in actually painfully hot. Showers only do scalding hot. Water fountains at a gym should be cold, or at the very worst room temperature not uncomfortably warm. Im trying to cool off and hydrate after a workout, not make tea. Is this a ploy to get you to buy a water from their vending machine which lists water as $1.75 then charges your credit card $4.10? Disney prices for a Dasani bottle at your neighborhood gym. At least the pools warm, but given the general cleanliness of the place I would prefer a ice cold pool to reduce the risk of things growing in the water. But dont bring this up to the manager, because theyre never there and the employees will only say theyre aware of this issue. Im sure theyre aware, but do they care? No. Ill be taking my business elsewhere and I will encourage others to do the same.
I signed up for 7 day pass and was denied access because I have an out of state drives license. I can board a plane with an out of state drivers license but can’t work out at LA fitness. I’m relocating to the area and I think I’ll find another place to work out. The sales team was rude and arrogant. It was as if I as disturbing there altering joke fest and time away from checking out members. No a attempt was made to offer me access or even some type of membership. The 7 day pass is a scam and I would stAy away from LA, fitness, specifically the Fort Worth Crockett street location. The staff is rude and it smelled like mold.
The manager was rude when I requested for a free pass, and he refused to give me a free pass for no reason. Last Saturday, I had a tour of the gym with my friend, but we did not know we can ask for a free pass on the day. Today, I went to the gym to ask for a free pass, the manager said he can not give me a pass, because I have toured the gym on weekends. And the only way to give me pass is I need to have a credit card on his file, and issue the membership right after the free pass ends. Does LA fitness center have this policy? And he said they are not just giving people free pass to try gyms and compare gyms.
Half the equipment is missing or broken, the AC doesn’t seem to work, and they do absolutely nothing to enforce masks so basically no one wears them.
I have a friend moving to Texas and the sales associates were too busy playing with each other to make a sale. They refused to give my friend a guest pass because his license is not from Texas. When I expressed concern they told me I could cancel my membership during the week, but not on the weekends.
This gym was very nice and the membership price was great. It is in a great location. I did not do any classes but from what I could see they were all full of people. The gym equipment was great, clean and functioning well with no real wait to use anything. The only complaint was that some of the headset jacks on the treadmills werent working. The pool was very nice as was the hot tub and sauna. Locker room was also very clean. Would highly recommend this gym.
Nice gym and great location. Machines and equipment are fairly new and well kept (rarely any down for repairs). Only complaint would be that they need to grease up the guide rails on machines more often so are easier to use. This place on a busy day isnt packed like some other Ive been to which is nice though I notice it gets considerably warmer when there are more than 15 people upstairs. Cant speak to the complaints about showers/locker room as I have never used.
Various group exercises
Good location and hours. That’s about it. Decent selection of equipment. Some classes offered. Not well maintained ie.. cleanliness, repairs, updates.. Speaking with the salespeople is a chore. Cheap. You get what you pay for.
Great workout environment. Lots of equipment and dumbbells. There are a couple of machines that might need maintenance or to be replaced but doesnt bother me.
These restrooms are in horrible shape. Pay a good custodian not personal trainers. Minimum wage isn’t going to keep facilities clean.
No matter how hot or cold it is outside they keep the temperature in the gym at at least 80 degrees and it is so hot I often have to cut my workout short. Also, the water from the water fountains comes out as hot water so it’s not refreshing whatsoever.
Benefits- its cheap. Parking is easy. Front staff is friendly. Mens locker room is kept relatively clean.Downsides: Hot tub never works, hot tub has leaves and dirt and bugs in it, swimming pool temps are often freezing cold, nothing works consistently (soap dispensers, TV sets on treadmills dont show actual TV channels, shower heads)- showers are just nozzles that blast you, with widely varying temperatures and water pressures. Basic stuff.Youre in the middle of the fanciest part of FW. How much effort would it take to keep things clean and well-maintained and maybe replace the shower heads? I would pay more a month for a nicer gym. As it is, I just check in, go run outside, have a terrible shower, and leave.
I WAS IN FORT WORTH TEXAS VISITING MY DAUGHTER JULY 31st - AUG. 5th AND I VISITED THE LA FITNESS ON CROCKETT ROW @ WEST 7th SEVERAL TIMES WHILE I WAS THERE.. I WILL SAY WHEN I ARRIVED @ THE GYM I WAS SHOCKED THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE ANY USABLE LA FITNESS TOWELS LIKE MY LA FITNESS GYM IN PORTLAND.. BUT THAT WAS OK I WENT AND BOUGHT A TOWEL THEN CAME BACK TO WORKOUT.. WHILE I WAS THERE THE AIR CONDITIONER WAS BROKEN SO THEY HAD ALL THE CEILING FANS GOING THROUGHOUT THE GYM BUT IT WAS STILL MUGGY AS ALL OUT DOORS BUT I DID GET A GREAT SWEAT AND WORKOUT IN.. BUT OVERALL I THINK IT IS A NICE GYM AND I WANT TO THANK ALL THE WORKERS WHO WERE NICE AND FOR LETTING ME HAVE A GREAT WORKOUT WHILE VISITING FORT WORTH TEXAS.. THANK YOU!!! VICTORIA W...
Worst experience ever trying to visit this gym for the first time. Couldn’t use our free passes bc they said we had to have Texas licenses which is fine. The general manager came over and then claimed that this LA fitness was the closest and most convenient gym because all other gyms are over 10 miles away. Well..... 24 hour fitness is 4 miles away, inursha fitness is less than a mile away.... and there’s definitely more. Check your facts. Will definitely not be signing up to join this gym.
I love the gym & their whole work out 🏋️♀️ area in both lower/upper decks. Great Yoga instructor & great work out classes💁They always hav a clean swimming 🏊♀️ & hot tub areas👍
It was cool until they kicked everyone out of the “training” area where they only have certain equipment. I moved to another location because all the other las don’t care if you work out in that marked off area as long as they are not training anyone. It’s a clean location I just don’t like restrictions like that when I’d been using the area for a year before that happened.
10 percent of the machines are broken. Either broken cables, pads, grips, or electronics. The gym is always humid and warm. The bathroom isn’t that clean and often has a smell. Other LA fitness gyms are much nicer. This gym needs to fix their equipment and clean up their facilities.
A very disappointing visit. I am visiting from out of state. I looked for locations that had the cycling class I wanted(the search feature on the app is another fail). There were three other closer gyms but had no classes for the day. Being from out of town I left early to make sure I arrived on time and unsure of the parking situation. I was 20 mins early and was in the room 10 mins early. As usual I started pedaling to warm up for a class. The start time came and passed and around the 10 passed mark I decided to leave and the instructor walked in as I was packing up to leave. I had figured the class was posted wrong or got cancelled. I understand being a few minutes late, but 10 minutes with no information on weather they are coming in or the class is cancelled is a fail. I spent an hour and a half driving and waiting. This is very disrespectful to your customers, for their time and money.
Dont get scammed here! Background:A couple weeks ago I stopped by this location and discussed membership opportunities with Assistant General Manager James Johnson. He told me to return on a Sunday and I could join month-to-month for $35 with no initiation fees. Today is Sunday, December 3rd and Counselor Val Hernandez met me at the entry counter. He filled out a paper application form for a month-to-month membership for $34.99 per month (plus tax) and told me I’d have to pay for the first and last month today. But then Manager James Johnson appeared, signed Val Hernandez into his computer system, and Val told me we needed to complete the sign-up online. Val Hernandez told me very specifically the online contract is exactly the same as the paper contract that I’d just read. Partway through signing the online form, I realized it was for a 6-month contract, and not month-to-month. I pointed out this error and asked him to change it to the one we’d agreed upon. He informed me that he couldn’t. Assistant General Manager James Johnson then informed me that the month-to-month membership was not available in December—a direct contrast to everything I’d already been told by Val Hernandez. I then asked both of them to cancel my pending membership and they refused, stating that only Manager “Alex” could do that, and he is not available until Monday. I called Discover Card and they informed me that an authorization for a charge at L.A. Fitness was already in their system but I couldn’t dispute it until it posts in 10 days. They advised me to request a refund directly from LA Fitness, which I did, and was refused by James Johnson who repeated that only the missing person named Alex could do that.Summary:L.A. Fitness (Fort Worth location) is deliberately dishonest. They dont deserve anybodys business.
This is a premier location, in the center of the new downtown off 7th street. Surrounded by upscale restaurants, bars, specialty boutiques, dessert shops, and even connected to a movie theater. The problem is that the the general maintenance of the facility is mediocre at best. For example, the AC was not working for literally three months, and members were not notified. The equipment is often covered in sweat, and there are virtually no cleaning wipes in a convenient location. Water fountains are often warm, and there are no olympic platforms.Overall, the location and the atmosphere combined with most exercise equipment makes this place still a pretty reasonable spot to choose as your primary gym; though with all of the $10 competitors it might be a bit difficult to justify their price of $20-40 (monthly).
My hidden gem.
Its a bad gym. The staff doesnt care and is rude, especially if you dont buy their training package. Something is always broken. Go workout like anywhere else.
Nice gym, but the Customer Service is HORRENDOUS. Within a day of getting a renewed credit card (the one used for my membership), I started getting HARASSED with up to 10 phone calls a day. I happened to be overseas for work, explained 3 times that I would update my information in a few days when I returned. But that didnt stop me from receiving half a dozen voicemails while my phone was off at work. I received about 100 phone calls total, all asking me for money.Once I returned home, I cancelled my membership out of principal. I didnt intend on canceling, but I refuse to give my money to a company that has been so aggressively and rudely harassing me. Ill take my business to another gym.Now they are refusing to cancel my membership for another 2 months, and charging me until then. I dont remember signing a contract to that effect, so not sure how thats legal. My friends have also had the same problem when canceling here.
Guys don’t get scam if you sign up for a personal trainer KNOW THAT ITS FOR A YEAR!!! There’s no 6 months or two month I’m warning you that’s how they get you. Trust me I’m going through it. With time and commitment ya guys can reach yalls goal but DONT get pressure by them. Please don’t get scam they just want your money!
The best LA Fitness I’ve been too! I’m a bit big on cleanliness and this location is always clean, locker room doesn’t smell, sauna is clean as well.
Worst gym in Fort Worth! Crowded. Scalding hot water from the fountain. Staff doesn’t care at all about the facility. Equipment hasn’t been updated or repaired since like 2012. Machine components are so bad some are a borderline safety concern. DO NOT get a membership here.
Equipment & facility is great. As a company in general, they will do whatever they can to get as much money from as possible. Very slimy with the way they handle transactions, particularly their so called “initiation fees”. I came in to check the gym out for the first time and parked in a garage that clearly stated that LA would validate my parking. After taking a tour, I wanted to have some time to check my finances before signing up officially. After being continuously pushed to sign up right then & there, I asked for my parking to be validated, I was told “validation is for members ONLY” in a very snarky tone. I found this to be a fine representation of how they treat those interested in their facility. The only thing that matters to them is their membership numbers & money being brought in. It is also almost impossible to cancel a membership once you start one with them. I came in numerous times only to be told the manager that needed to handle my cancelation was not there. When asking if I could schedule an appointment, or wait for him / her to return, I got a lot of question dodging and my answer never clear. I highly recommend finding another place to get your workout in, that provides a more honest & friendly atmosphere between the company & its members.
The locker room is WAY too hot. After working out and showering I dont want to sweat again!
Good gym in an awesome location!
Honestly, this place is great. Clean, Spacious, personal TV with every cardio machine, great location next to restaurants/downtown, the pool isnt freezing like the other gyms Ive been to. Locker rooms are clean, showers are too. Friendly staff. Just bring your own towels. Seriously, this place doesnt deserve bad ratings.
This place is trash -not worth the money in general for what it offers- greeters were usually nice, but trainers won’t speak to you if you dont buy a session. Oh, you can’t cancel your membership online or on the phone because “they’ve had too much fraud where people are cancelling accounts that aren’t theirs” hahaha. Let’s agree that hackers and schemers go after more than cancelling gym memberships. Terrible pitch LA Fitness. And for those reasons, I’m out.
Its a good location and the machines and equipment are nice. DONT take them up on the Free Fitness Assessment that comes with your membership. They will try to sell you on extremely overpriced personal training sessions and then shame you when you say no. Trainer (believe his name was Doug?) literally told me to abandon my goals because I wasnt willing to pay an additional $280/month for training sessions. Told me to give him a call when I was serious about my goals. It was extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional.
Does the A/C not work in this gym?
Amazing location and not too busy
This place is awful regarding contracts and training. They are self serving and the training is overall incompetant. Do not pay for training here. I also moved to a new state prior to the end of the contract and they will not reimburse. This corporation is self serving and sleazy. Never pay for a year up front, or any kind of training. Buyer beware!
Just recently started going to this gym and has been really awesome so far. Everything is nice and clean, the people here are nice to each other.
Charles is a nice salesman! I look forward to eventually joining
Good gym although price can be a bit favorable
Nice Gym. Staff and Members were friendly. I am visiting from Arizona, the gym was as welcoming as my regular gym in Phoenix.
Decent gym, machines and court. Locker room and restrooms were very clean.
Tried signing up for a guest pass to see if their hours worked with my schedule. I was met with antagonism and condescension. The location is not worth the hassle of such terrible service. Driving a few miles to 24, instead.
Great place to work out and they got good restaurants around me the area
Great people work there and the clients are very friendly too!!!
Could be better limited uses on machines need repair exercise machines and monitors asap
This gym is clean and the equipment works. BUT DO NOT SIGN UP WITH A TRAINER! THESE PEOPLE WILL LIE TO YOUR FACE WITH OUT BLINKING. WE WERE TOLD WE COULD TRY OUT A PROGRAM FOR THREE WEEKS AND IF IT WASNT WHAT WE WANTED WE COULD GET OUT OF IT. Not true. We are now stuck with an extreamly expensive plan and CAN NOT GET OUT OF IT. As part of the trainers sales pitch he told my girlfriend that he was going to throw in 40 extra sessions as a way to help her recover from her recent fight with cancer. Well turns out they offer that to everyone and it really is just an extra sales pitch. Hey look I get it, your in sales and you got to make money. But this was slimy. Full disclosure after arguing with the sales associate for sometime we were able to get him to drop the amount by about 20% but they are taking away 50% of what we had in the package and this is again not what we agreed to. It just comes down to Integrity. Plain and simple these folks dont have it. This gym is clean and the equipment works but dont trust the sales team.
Was moving in town and looking for a gym. Registered for a guest pass and the manager Art wanted to have you sign up that day.I get it they need to sale. When they call you the next day pressuring you into signing up is wrong. Then I show up to use the gym and manager art wanted to strong arm me to paying $15. Poor leadership by art does not understand what customer service is about and you dont insult the customer. You just lost business more business than you can imagine!
I wanted to try this gym out as my friend had a 3 day guest pass. First time we went we wasted our time because I needed an ID on me, but who brings their wallet to the gym? Second time we went today and I actually bring my ID ready to hit the gym they wanted 15 dollars!! With a guest pass! And we later find out I had to be on the guest VIP list to actually use a 3 day pass. Whats the point of a guest pass then? Apparently its all for marketing and they want your cash. We ended up storming out of there and Im taking my money elsewhere. Also, one of the salesmen continued to follow us out to provoke us.
Management has an inability to replace a basketball goal net. Easily been over a month now. For $40 a month I think they can allocate a portion of monthly dues and buy a net.
Gym was nice, clean, and stocked with all sorts of equipment. The weekend is nice to work out as there is hardly anyone there. However, during the week it is typically incredibly busy after 5 pm, as is any gym.DO NOT sign up for the personal trainer unless you are 100% sure you can stay for all the sessions. They really screwed me when I was transfered for work. I had signed up for a six month personal trainer and after only two months I had to cancel my membership and move to a new city. They charged me half of what I was going to pay for the rest of the four months. They made a lot of money off me for doing absoluetly nothing.Staff is typically nice and the manager there is cool. But I have a bad taste in my mouth due to the fees they charged me when I canceled and probably wouldnt ever join an LA Fitness again.
One of the nicer/cleaner La locations. I would compare this location to be almost as decent as the signature location in dallas.
TERRIBLE customer service. I have contacted this club 4x over the past month about an issue with canceling my personal training membership, and every time they tell me “I’ll pass this along to so and so and they will call you back.” Then I’ll never hear from them. Emailing their customer service is basically useless too.Update: I was never actually contacted by anyone who said they would call me back, but I got an email confirming my cancellation. If you have an issue with the club, just be prepared to follow up with them multiple times.
