DO NOT USE THIS PLACE! Came 5/19 to repair washer, ordered a part charged me over $300, set up an appt for the next week. Changed my schedule to be home for the appt but it was a no show. Ater 3 hours on the phone, I was finally told the part was on back order and would be shipped directly to me and once I receive it to call and make an appt. 6/8 part arrived 6/19 repairman came only to find out WRONG PART was ordered. Now he spend 60 minutes trying to figure out how to order a part that is not being pair for. Also informed me the correct part in less than the original part, so I should get a refund. Made an appt to come out the following week, which I knew it was never going to happen. (not sure why they give the homeowner FALSE hope, when they know the appt will not be kept). Once again appt comes and goes and no communication is given to say they are not keeping the appt. Now on 7/12 I call and an told i will have a UPS shipping notification by the end of the week with my part and I ask for the difference of the parts to be refunded back to me. Lovely call center lady said she would send it to billing and it would take 7-12 business days to get the refund on my card. Needless to say never received the UPS notification, and NEVER received my refund. Called today to cancel the whole order and now waiting to see it that happens. Probably not. Save yourself the headache and use a reputable repair place.

Operating under name of A&E Factory Service and they do NOT show up. And they dont tell you they arent showing up either. The first time they called and told me. The next 2 times they were complete no shows even though A&Es automated system confirmed the appointment AND the phone representative confirmed the appointment. Then, when they didnt show up the 3rd time they apparently rescheduled it to a new time without even telling me (of course that happened after they missed the appointment entirely).

My dishwasher broke down 1/24. I scheduled a repair for 1/26. The technician came out and needed to place an order for parts. He scheduled a second appointment for 2/11. No one came, no one contacted me. I checked the website to confirm my appointment was correct. It was. So I opted to use their “chat with an expert” option and they informed me that there was no service appointment scheduled. I checked online and there was my confirmation for my appointment! 2/11 between 8-12. They told me that the parts were not delivered and that they would be delivered the following week. I called back 2/19. This time I was told that they can not locate my parts locally. I mentioned my warranty and asked about replacement. I was told according to their policy, since it had been over 21 days they can put in a request for a replacement and I would hear from them in 5 days. 2/25 I call again. I’m told that no request was made, but not to worry because he would put in an urgent replacement request and contact the management. He even gave me a confirmation number. Told me someone would contact me in 72 hours. Over 90 hours later, I call a again. Surprise surprise, they tell me that no one ever made a replacement request. I give him the confirmation number, he then tells me that the previous guy did it wrong but that he could send a replacement request. This time I would have to wait 7-10 days. I asked to speak with a manager, he told me he was the only one who could help me. It has been 38 days. My husband and I both work and have two children under two. I have taken my situation to the BBB.

It took 8 weeks for my washer to be repaired. I called several times, speaking to Manager once and escalating issue twice. I still had to pay full price for part, labor and 2 service charges. I was offered to cancel the part order and to be given part number to order myself and then get someone else to fix washer at week 7. Worse customer service and I will not use them again!!! Nor will I recommend them to anyone else!!

My dryer has broke again. It has been broken since 1/6/2021 This is the 2nd time my dryer has stopped heating. I have been without a dryer since 1/6/2021. After their technician rescheduled, he finally shows on 1/18/2021. At this time, he orders 2 parts: a console(because the sound box went out) and a heating element. The heating element came but the console is on back order....Fri-sat of today:2/26/2021, this part is still on back order and Sears doesnt kno when they will find it. On 1/27 the technician came back to install the heating element. However, the dryer still wasnt heating. I call again. They schedule the technician to come on 2/1-but he called into work and they didnt have a different 1 to send. They reschedule my appointment for 2/2-but he truck broke down so they reschedule for 2/3, something else happened and they called to reschedule him for 2/4. On 2/4 he comes and say a fuse is out. He called a part store in town but they didnt have it but would have it the following day. However, the tech says his supervisor said he couldnt get the part from the part store and he was to order it. This part finally comes on 2/15. I called, the 1st 2 reps refused to schedule an appointment stating and I quote: Its not cost efficient for Sears to keep send a tech out. I need to wait for all parts to b delivered. The issue wit this, the console is still on back order and hasnt been located at this point and the console isnt needed to make the dryer heat. I called warranty to just a replacement dryer because it has been part 21 days that the dryer has been broken. They open a case:7054810 and says someone will call me in 2-3 business days and he also schedule the tech to come to install the part for: 2/17/2021. No one calls and the tech doesnt show up. My appointment was between 1-5. I called Sears at 5:15 they say he is still in route but hes coming. I call again at 6 another person said he should b at my house by 7. At 7:45 I called again, this time, Im told the tech didnt show because they received a notice from warranty that said they would replace the dryer. He transferred me to warranty who said that wasnt true and they show I had an appt between 1-5 and he shouldve showed up. He transfer me back to repair and I ask for a supervisor. They tell me one will call me in 15 mins. 30 mins of waiting I call back, now they say it can take 2hrs for a sup to call me. Never received a call. I called the next day and ask for a sup again. Now they say:24hrs for a sup to call me. 2 days later, I finally hear from sup, he tells me the system is locked wit the appt from 2/17 and they arent able to reschedule it. He claims he escalated a request to have scheduling call me to reschedule my appointment. Today is 2/26 and I still havent hear from anyone. I have called Sears everyday and everyday they say the samething-their system is locked, they r escalating the request and someone will call me to reschedule my appt. I have also called warranty every other day to get the status of my replacement request. They also have claimed they r escalating a request for approval and someone will call me in 7 days. I called after 7 days of not hearing from anyone. The agent then said he has to do another escalation for approval. He said they have to submit 3 escalation requests before they can replace it. That doesnt make any sense. Sears is refusing to send a technician to fix my dryer....They are also refusing to replace the dryer-Even tho I paid for the warranty when I purchased the dryer. I am highly upset and frustrated at this point. Idk if the part ordered will fix the problem and if it doesnt I will have to wait again for more parts and for them to install them.

Waited 10 days for a repairman to replace the compressor in our refrigerator. 48 hours after the service, the refrigerator was still not cooling properly. Called the service center and was instructed on how to reboot the refrigerator. After multiple reboots, the problem was not resolved. Contacted the service center for Plan B. The only option I was given was to schedule another appointment which was another 17 day wait. I was told they could move up my appointment if there was a cancellation. What a joke!!! I was put on their emergency repair list for the initial appointment. It was 2 days later than the original scheduled date. I was sent an email informing me theyd moved up the appointment and they never showed up. They then denied the appointment had been rescheduled at all- just as if I didnt have the email supporting my claim right in front of me.

Ugh...Define “service”. If what I’ve received is service I will never again trust Sears to deliver on their promises. Re: the ongoing saga of trying to get our refrigerator fixed since August 21; 2020. This last repair by the 2nd repairman lasted about 3 days. I called for another repair and was given November 2, 2020 as their closest appointment. Last night I realized Sears had not sent confirmation as they had done for prior appointments. Apparently, once again they had no record of our appointment they supposedly scheduled.

The repairman was early while repairing our refrigerator he burned a hole in my floor he covered it with the refrigerator and told me not to move it for 24 hours when i pushed it back out of the way I noticed the burn in the floor he was already gone by then I emailed but no response. And after he repaired our refrigerator he told me that most refrigerators only last around 5 years. Not HAPPY

The technician was prying on my refrigerator with a screwdriver instead of the plastic tools that he was supposed to use. I told him to stop immediately. This 2nd replacement fan installation STILL DID NOT fix my problem of not keeping temperature in my fridge.

My Maytag Double Electric Oven has been serviced three times over several months with no result (six technician visits if you count to diagnosis, order part, and then return to install part). Initial problem was top oven not getting to temp (which I verified with an oven thermometer). Diagnosis was to replace filament which was not the problem. Then it was determined to be the control panel which was ordered and installed. This resulted in both ovens turning off randomly during cooking process and SET CLOCK flashing.. This made the oven worse since initially the bottom oven worked perfectly. Another control panel was ordered and installed which resulted in the same random turning off. Obviously it cant be repaired in my opinion. The Repair Agreement provides for a replacement in this instance. I was told a technician has to come out again to diagnose the problem. This is ridiculous....I have had to take off several days of work to be home for the technician. I am very unhappy with this service. It must be resolved soon!

Front loading washing machine was getting moldy and we requested Sears to clean it. They decided they needed to replace the moldy piece for $400 (should have just bought a new machine at that point). Repair man seemed unfamiliar with what he was doing and didnt run a cycle before leaving our home. When we did a load of laundry water leaked everywhere. Still waiting for them to return to repair it 3 days later with piles of laundry everywhere...

Dishwasher wasnt working. Turned out a piece of plastic from the upper rack lodged in the pump. Service technician responded as scheduled and fixed the issue quickly. He was very customer supportive and gave some good advice on operating the dishwasher.

We have been using Sears Appliance Repair for years and have always been very happy with their professional service. We get a phone reminder the day before the appointment and the service technician always calls the day of the appointment to let you know when he will be there. I appreciate those reminders.

The door gasket on our dishwasher needed replacement. Normall I would do a job like this myself, but due to major surgery 2 weeks prior, I opted for Sears to do it. The serviceman was a pro. He did a wonderful job, even giving me a few suggestions to make the dishwasher last longer. My gripe was the price. $172 for a 15 minute repair and $40 part. And that was with a 20% off coupon. That makes it a $215 dollar repair. Outrageous! By the time I knew the price, I would only have saved about $35 by refusing the repair. All that being said, the repair is done correctly and warranted for 90 days. Had the price been anywhere near reasonable, I would have given 5 stars.

We were happy with the service repairman when he finally came to fix it.However to be without a fridge for 30 days seems excessive when we have a 5 year warranty plan and the fridge is under 3 years old. Also sears made it plain we had to be there all day & both of us work as teachers. Not happy with time it took to fix the fridge & quality of fridge.

I just scheduled a service call for my refrigerator. I was not impressed with the person or the quality of customer care. First of all they had a heavy India accent that was very difficult to understand. I specifically asked at the beginning of the call if they were outsourced and she would not answer the question but said that I could not schedule a service call through my local service center. This was a local number and the shop is a couple miles from me in Fort Wayne Indiana by the way.It is $99 for them to come out. Then they diagnose and it is parts plus labor. Seems pretty pricey but there is nobody else in town with good reviews so I will update after the service call and let you know if I got taken or not. Im not going to spend a bunch of money on a 10 yr old fridge.10 years old... thats sad. Growing up I dont remember my parents ever replacing our fridge and in fact, that fridge is probably still in dads garage with beer in it now. The stuff they sell us these days is garbage.

Best repair job Ive ever had!! I had a water leak from my refrigerator onto my wooden floors. Not only did he find the leak, he used equipment that protected my floors when he pulled the unit out. He also allowed me time to clean up the mess that was under the unit (including dust etc.). He only brought in the equipment he needed to make the repair and made several trips to his truck(instead of the big tool box that some bring in). I would recommend Sears Appliance Repair for any appliance problem you might have. Great job!!

Repair person was very polite and professional. I felt the push to get a service plan was a bit much. I felt your $90 fee to just come to my door was a little over the top. When it was discovered that the issue had resolved itself (frozen water line) I asked him to do maintenance on the fridge since he was there. He charged $85 to vacuum under the fridge (using my vacuum) hardly seems like my idea of maintenance

DO NOT use Sears for in home appliance repair. I had 3 appointments scheduled and 3 appointments cancelled. Cancellations happened right before the end of the time period they were supposed to show up. Took a total of 12 hours off from work to get a freezer fixed. No apology, no accommodation offered. Sears used to be good, not any more.

Once he got here it all came back together smoothly. He even replaced the water filter (always tricky for me to do) and put the shelves and doors back in (also proving difficult for me and my husband to do). I was surprised that once we had the part delivered it was another 10 days or so before he could come back to fix it.

The repairman never showed up and we did not receive a phone call telling us that he would not be coming. I sat at home from 1:00 until 7:00 PM waiting. When I called to report that he had not come the phone was answered by a person that I was unable to understand. So the only thing that Im sure about is that our appointment has been rescheduled. We had a repair on our refrigerator on April 24 and the problem was not fixed so the May 1 appointment was to be a return visit. Poor Customer Service to say the least.

The replacement of the light switch was completed in a very short time. We were well satisfied with service and the repair person.The same repair that was done two years ago took much longer because the service person took the refrigerator liner loose to remove the switch and install the new one.He evidently did not know that you did not have to do that.

Not happy. We set up an appointment for between 8-2pm we get a phone call at 1:49 stating he is behind itll be 4:30 before he can get to us. We then got a phone call fromHis supervisor at 3:45 wanting to talk to him and calling back on our phone to talk to himBecause the service man would not answer the supervisors call which he informed us that he had blocked the guys number because he didnt like the man. I took off work so that someone was at the house and the appliances could be inspected before my daughters nap time. This was a huge inconvieneve and we became this guys last and final appointment of the day because his house was close to his. We do not want this man coming back to our house he was unprofessional in front of our daughter calling his boss or fill in boss as he called him names and used in appropriate language in front of my kid who I took upstairs and remover her from our living room are.

The 6th time was the charm....the Sears tech was great and fixed our machines on his first attempt.It only took 6 appointments! The first guy came, and was gone in just a couple of minutes, saying he didnt have the tickets for the requested annual inspection. His dispatch said that he did, but he was gone and I was told to make another appointment.On 4 subsequent appointments, Sears never showed up. Twice the techs sent me a text within 30 minutes of my appointment window close time saying they were too busy and couldnt make it. Two other times they never even notified me.Between the missed work and the hours I spent on the phone with the offshore Call Center and the Customer Solutions Center, these two annual checkup calls cost me 20+ hours of my life! These were the first annual checkups I asked for in almost 3 years of ownership on these appliances.I give Sears credit though -- on at least three calls to the Call Center and 1 call to Customer Solutions, they tried to sell me on in-home consultations for home repairs, new carpeting or (even) renewing my service agreement.

Was Very Disappointed With The Service Technicians, He Was There For A Hour And Told My Wife That We Had A Soft Floor. The first half of the hour he tried to sell my wife a warranty on our appliances. I contacted my builder and he came to our house and helped me fix the vibration. After 6 visits the problem still is not fixed. They are horrible communicators, often come earlier than the allotted time slot, send the wrong parts, break the appliances further, and leave without fixing everything. Not to mention the outsourced customer service lines. Their only saving grace is their excellent claims and liability department.

Terrible service! The first technician came out and told me I needed a new control board for my dryer and scheduled another appointment to have it installed a week later. The 2nd technician showed up 2 and a half hours late and put the board in but didnt check the dryer to make sure that it actually fixed the problem. We tried to do a load of laundry and still got the same problem! I called back to schedule another appointment and the technician never showed up. No phone call or apology or anything. After 4 days of calling trying to get a refund they REFUSED to give me one. I was forced to reschedule another appointment and it is 2 weeks away. This has been a huge waste of time so far. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IF IT WAS THE ONLY REPAIR SERVICE IN TOWN!

Sear came out right away to determine the problem. My mom purchased the warranty program. the stated the repairs would be made as soon as the parts came. The parts came withing 3 days to my house. It took 4 weeks before a repair was scheduled and someone showed up. Every time I called every person told me something different. I had to go 4 weeks without a refrigerator or freezer. While the service was being done, the man noticed my motor for my ice auger was handing out. He asked why. I told him that was how the last repairman left it. It never got fixed. he could not figure it out. NEVER will i use Sears again

Our repairman, Chris, was very helpful in listening to our appliance problems, and then diagnosing them. He ordered what was needed, within two days they arrived, and he scheduled our next appt. to come back and install what was needed. We really have not had any complaints with any of the servicemen who have been to our home. Our only complaints are with the customer service department that you need to call to schedule repairs. They have made so many errors that it is sad Sears does not train these people properly.Again, the servicemen are wonderful - knowledgeable and courteous. If we just did not have to go through the customer service department first it would be great!

The service was on time and corrected our issues. However, I thought the service charge was extremely pricey for how much time the repairs took. In fact, our technician was going to leave our house saying he fixed the problem, when I knew he did not. I made him stay while I tried to run our washing machine through a cycle and proved to him he had not fixed our issue. He then went out to his truck to search for a solution. Meanwhile, I figured out that it was the hot water inlet valve that was not working. I have no problem paying for the installation of the new inlet valve, however, I feel as if the service charge was very pricey considering I was the one who ultimately diagnosed the issue. The service technician was at our home for around 45 minutes and we were charged $169.00 for service.

I am so unhappy with Sears right now. Every since they got rid of there own appliance repair division they have gone down hill. I had a dishwasher that needed repair and they covered it under warranty. The repair man took the rack out of my dishwasher and couldnt come back for a week due to family issues. Now I have them fix my dryer. They replaced the heating element and charged me $ 179.00. The next day it sounds like theres 5 pairs of boots in my dryer. They come back out a week later and now it needs $ 280.00 to fix it. Im finally done with Sears. No wonder there closing stores. Ive bought appliances from them for 30 years. What a shame........

The repairman was excellent getting to the bottom of the problem quickly The problem was calling and talking to someone who doesnt understand the problem who calls themselves tech specialist who dont have a clue with the problem they are just going down the checklist to try to screen problems after we had just paid to have a years warranty I would definitely use the repairmen again but would prefer not to have to call the 800 number to ask for help

Sears Appliance Repairman never showed on June 26th. I waited from 1:00pm to 5:00pm with a no show. Then I went online and message from Sears said proposed arrival would be 1:00pm to 5:30pm. No show. Online again and said 4:30pm to 6:30pm. No show. Then went online and message said rescheduled to JULY 10th. Totally unacceptable. I did a live chat and representative said date was changed by Sears not me. After much discussion I finally got a date of June 28th from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Tech showed up and said the person that was originally scheduled to inspect my refrigerator was a lawn mower tech! What?? He had also reported he came on the 26th and that I had a problem with a seal. None of this was true. Sears, I am not impressed with your scheduling or means of contacting me when everything kept changing. A phone call would have been in order not numerous emails. I dont set at my computer WAITING for messages. How ridiculous. I was, needless to say, quite unimpressed with Sears at this point!

Frustrated with maintenance contract: Cant come on Saturdays, can only give an 8 hour window, followed expected arrival online ETA 4:45, checked before leaving work early, new ETA 6:45(???), automated call 6 minutes later that serviceman is on the way, rushed out of work, arrived at 4:53 to a note that serviceman left at 4:44. Note said call this number and IT WAS THE WRONG NUMBER, checked online ETA one more time and it was changed to 4:30. Maintenance contract expires in June; I would like to never deal with Sears again but the washer I bought from them has been nothing but trouble. Would YOU renew your contract?

Repairmen were here a week ago for our dishwasher. It leaves sediment on dishes, which then have to be hand washed. They cleaned out drains, etc., and said it should be fixed. Unfortunately, it still leaves sediment on dishes: (( Started it after breakfast today and it is suddenly leaking badly. Guess it is just time to replace it.
