This was the worst car rental experience of my whole life! It was like renting in a Third World country. No one at the airport knew where it was it took me an hour and 20 minutes just to find a place. It was in the slums of Fort Lauderdale unfortunately shady neighborhood. They wanted a copy of my insurance policy which I don’t carry with me I have never Had to do that with any rental agency. Then they want to charge $10 a day for some other fees. My insurance Co is closed and I could not validate it. Then they wanted to charge me an extra $500 Then they will not take my American Express even though I paid Expedia with American Express.After almost 2 hours of going back-and-forth one of the young men who works there gave me a ride back to the airport so now I’m waiting on an Uber.They come out with a phone and video the whole car in front of the renter? I just had a death in the family I’ve traveled all day this is the most frustrating thing to happen.They would not give me a refund Expedia would not give me a refund. you expect this in third world countries we don’t expect it in the United States so buyer beware!

I’m here to pickup the vehicle that I rented 3 days ago online. One got my family of 6 with me. I’ve got my confirmation and paid for it in advance in my hands. They are saying that my reservation was canceled yesterday, but cannot provide to me who or how it was canceled. I’m stuck without a car at this point and headed back to the airport to rent from a reputable company..

The prices online are too good to be true. Sure enough, when we got there, we were essentially forced to take their additional fees (insurance) or up our personal insurance.Nope. Canceled our reservation and booked somewhere else.

Went to pick up car Feb.4, 2021 - If I hadnt already paid for car rental, I would have left and went somewhere else. That still didnt stop them from making additional money from me. I showed proof of insurance, they still said it wasnt good enough. I had to pay for theirs. It took 50 mins. to get a car. When it finally was brought around to me, I had to send it back because it was that bad. They brought another one around for me, and it was even worse. Had to bring back the original one. After all, they said that was all they had. See the one tire, on car I had to drive (Pic. attached). I will monitor my credit card to see how they charge me. Im already considering legal charges against them. Sad that a company like this can operate. They dont really deserve the (1) star.

DO NOT COME HERE. Massive headache. I should have read the reviews first but I was in a hurry to make a reservation for our trip and it looked like a good deal. Not worth it. The shuttle from the airport took over an hour to pick us up. We were picked up in one of their rental cars that was promptly given to another family without being cleaned. Got to the counter to find out that on top of our payment, they want a $200 deposit PLUS a $500 for insurance because they only accept 5 insurance carriers. 5! Highly unlikely that they accept yours. Plus countless other charges for prepaid tolls and gas charge is like $10/gallon. Cannot use a debit card. Has to be credit card. We chose to walk out and go another way and list out on the almost $200 we had already paid for our rental. But we felt it was worth it to cut our losses rather than get stuck paying more than we should. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. PAY A LITTLE MORE UPFRONT MORE FOR A MORE HONEST BUSINESS.

So we decided to give green motion a shot because you can’t beat their prices! We rented a 6+ passenger vehicle which turned out to be a new Dodge Durango. The pick up process was smooth and quick. The car was fully loaded and so clean! Our drop off experience was was great! Andrew got us checked in and taken care of very promptly! The customer service surpassed all expectations! We travel often and on our next trip in April we will be renting with green motion again! I can’t say enough how professional and friendly all of the staff including the van drivers are! So many rental places do not care anymore and you can tell this is not the case here! Thank you Andrew and staff! We will be back!

Green Motiok doubled the cost of the rental when I picked up the car, tried to force me to buy their own insurance and then added on an additional charge to my credit card without stating it on the receipt. When contacted they said it was just an authorization even when I showed evidence that it was a charge, and they refused to refund it.Cheap cars, but you’ll end up paying more than going with a reputable name.

This was the absolute WORST experience. DO NOT book with them. We gave them the benefit of the doubt even after we read some reviews and now I understand why they were all bad. It’s false advertisement. They make you buy their insurance amongst other things to rip you off. There was not one customer in there when we picked up and dropped off the rental that was happy. We only took the rental because we had no other option. To top it off the car was disgusting. Please reconsider booking with them. You will hate it and they will rip you off.

50% of you will have to pay an extra $40/day over the listed rate because they dont accept a lot of insurance. Also, if you have an early flight you will be on your own getting back to the airport because they dont open until 8 and dont run shuttles before then. Also, they gave me a car with no gas in it which is a first for me....not sure what else to say about that. Id recommend calling the company ahead of time to see if your insurance is accepted, or probably just not use them since this one of my worst car rental experiences.

This place is HORRIBLE!!! Customer service is non existent. You can never get a hold of anyone. They don’t pick up the phone. The cars that are for rent are in bad condition. The car I had was making noise.Do Not I repeat do no rent from this place!

Absolute nightmare.. car given to us had bad breaks, found it out after getting on I95 . Called the rental company and was told they have no other cars but they would pick up the junk we rented and we would be stranded over 90 mins away. Called a quite a few reputable rental agencies but no cars available. There was also a huge up charge for insurance since they wouldn’t accept our policy. Counter agent was rude... never again!!! Watch out for the half tank of gas they give you and the extremely dented car... I followed her around taking my own pictures because I didn’t trust her.... STAY AWAY!!!!

I honestly dont know how this company is even in business. I usually read reviews before I buy/use services but I was in a hurry to find anything cheap for an unexpected trip to see a terminally ill family member. When I flew in to Fort Lauderdale I called the number on my rental confirmation-- No answer. I called multiple times. I had to rent a cab to get to the off-site location. When I told the girl she just said my phone never rang. When I came back to drop off the rental, no one was there. The hours of business are posted on the door but the actual hour is scrapped off. Theres a piece of paper taped next to the door that says if were not here leave the key on the drivers side tire. So God bless the business next door helped me get a ride to the airport. When you have to pay extra for cab or uber rides to and from the airport its more expensive than going with a reputable car rental company. And much less stressful! This place should be shut down!!

I am giving a 1 star rating simply because ZERO is not an option. PLEASE dont be fooled by the (false) pricing. Read the reviews! I was traveling to FL by myself with my 3 children and booked a mini van in advance. We waited for the shuttle to pick us up from the airport, and it never arrived, so we had to take an Uber for $30. When we arrived to Green Motion, Vanessa, who unbelievable is supposed to be the manager, casually informed me that my reservation had been canceled the night before because they didnt have the car. No email, no phone call, nothing. She then told me that if we waited THREE HOURS, they might have a car available. I informed her I was not sitting there for 3 hours, at which point she offered us a 5 seat car, and I said as long as it could fit the kids and our 5 suitcases, we would have to make do. The wanted us to take a Toyota Corolla which, given the size, would have been physically impossible to fit all 4 of us and our luggage. I told them I wanted to speak to the booking company, and UNBELIEVABLY, when I got a man named Peter on the phone, he told me he played back the conversation I had with Vanessa (yes, apparently I was being recorded), and I agreed the issue was resolved bc she offered me the 5 seater car OR I could wait 3 hours. I replied that the issue was not resolved in the least since the car they offered would not fit us. Pictures attached of the car and our luggage. I then told them I wanted a refund - and I was informed Id have to email the booking agency for a refund. (I am fighting it with my credit card company). Vanessa began to speak in Spanish to her co-worker saying that we wanted a refund but they werent going to give it to us. Too bad they didnt realize that my oldest daughter is fluent in Spanish! I have NEVER encountered such a lack of concern from a company in my life. This is a SCAM, pure and simple. (Incredibly, during this incident, we overheard another customer on his phone saying that he was also being scammed with his rental.) We are also filing a report with the better business bureau. End of story....we had to take yet another Uber for $20 to Thrifty Rental Car, and the woman was unbelievably kind and had us in an appropriately sized car (a bit tight, but we squeezed everything in) within 15 minutes. Trying to save a few bucks by using this company is a HUGE mistake. I hope someone else can save the time and aggravation we went through.

Worst car rental I have ever dealt with. The woman behind the counter tried to get me to buy their pricey insurance, also told me if I was going on any toll road they ALL only take sun pass no cash or change provided. SCAM. They tried to take me for over $60+ for tolls when it cost me $6.50. Nobody there in the morning to shuttle me to the airport. The owner of the business next door took us and another couple saying they do this all the time and he feels sorry for the renters so he helps out. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY. CHEAP IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER!!!!

Stay away so you won’t be scammed today!!!!This “Company” will deny your legitimate insurance in an attempt to force you to purchase theirs at $40. My insurance company was on the list and I was still denied. They will also tell Priceline that you either didn’t show up for your rental or any other lies they can think of regarding your booking to keep your money(this is why they require upfront payment). Trust the reviews. Run man.......run as fast as you can.

Scam!! We got this through Priceline and they make you get there insurance even though you have your own full coverage. Then he tells you he’s not giving you a car. They get there money no matter what that’s why they can do whatever they want. Do yourself a favor and do not book with them! They have to go out of business it’s not right what they’re doing!

If I could leave a 0 star I would. Absolute horrible company. I booked through a 3rd party where I didn’t get a choice but just a good deal. Never again! I arrived to Florida and called them for a pickup from the terminal to be told my reservation has been canceled because they “over booked”.I made my reservation a month ago and the lady on the phone said she doesn’t know why they don’t have a car with me. She said they tried to call “but my number didn’t work”. I checked my reservation my number listed is correct and I have 0 missed calls from Florida going back Over 2 weeks. The company is a con artist.We finally found a company that did have a car available for us to rent but it cost us $400 since it was a same day pickup. The clerk at the new company said it’s common for green motion to let you reserve a car but if someone comes to the counter willing to pay full price they will rent to them and then cancel you reservation.Stay away from this horrible company!

My first and last time EVER renting from them if I could even say a car renting even happened? I was in Fort lauderdale FL for a couple hour layover.I figured I would rent a car for a couple of hours. I arrived at the Airport rental station, called the number posted. Actually called it about 3 times before someone answered that was about 8am. I had a 9am reservation, finally reaching a woman who seemed at first ready to help. I quickly learned otherwise, 8am turned quickly to 9 with several unanswered and mislead phone calls. During this time all I was doing was being lied too. Finally speaking with a Manager Edmond who in fact was very unprofessional and unpleasant to deal with. He simply blamed Expedia for the wrong doing and took no accountability for any of the madness not even offering up an apology #canceled

All steps of the rental proceeded smoothly. Airport pickup within 10 minutes after we landed and called the office. Once at the office, we picked a Sunpass option and gave our insurance info, and within a few minutes were on our way in a vehicle. The vehicle was clean and worked great for us.The day of dropoff, we arrived with the vehicle, and after a quick vehicle inspection, we were immediately shuttled to the airport for our flight. The agent we dealt with during pickup and drop off, David, was very polite and courteous and handled everything well.

By far the worst experience renting a car. Poor girl was the only one working at the entire company, pulling cars out checking people out, driving the shuttle. This is not to be a 1 person job people. On top of that I had to file for a chargeback with my credit card company to get a $30 deposit back that I waiting 3 months to get back. The company never responded to my many many request to refund this temporary deposit. I think they were hoping I would forget. Shady, Shady, company . . Run run far far away. Not worth it at any price. .

Free shuttle from the rental car garage to pickup location. Call and wait. Hold onto your seat. They only take 5 insurances so if you have one thats not listed, get out your credit card. (I posted a photo). Extra $39 a day😲. The guy at the counter must be used to people complaining because he just kept talking nicely. Also, the hours say opens 8 am. Nobody was there. Nobody answers the phone.

This place deserves zero stars!! By far the most unprofessional, disorganized company I have ever experienced. We were unable to reach the branch for shuttle service, and were not reimbursed for the Uber ride we had to take to the facility. We were charged for fees we didn’t even incur. The staff was incompetent with poor communication skills. By far the worst experience ever... had I let it, this would have ruined my vacation.

Website says they are at the airport, they are actually 3 miles away. There shuttle service was not working and they would not answer the phone. I paid for a 20$ uber to get there out of my own pocket. I asked to have that deducted off my rental and they said no, and If I have a problem, submit a complaint online. Needles to say they are the worst rental car company I have ever used. Stay away

Use at your own risk. Price may seem low but then you get the hidden fees added on. They force you to pay for insurance even if you have your own. More than one person in the car? Extra driver fee for you!You’re better off going to Enterprise. Will end up costing the same in the end and your experience will be infinitely better.

Not much more to say than all the other terrible reviews about this organization. You must have a credit card with $500 available to secure the deposit. You must have min 300k liability with your insurer or pay $40/day for their insurance. The list goes on, but my experience stemmed down to safety and the awful customer service I encountered while renting via Green Motion.The short story, I had a blow out while leaving the beach in Fort Lauderdale. I replaced the tire with the spare and tried to get the issue resolved ASAP so that I could continue to use the van for an upcoming family trip. Instead I was never contacted to replace the tire or the van which resulted in a costly vacation. Once I returned the vehicle (4 days later), and after driving an unsafe amount of time on a spare tire, the attendant told me to email their GM and that i should certainly be compensated. This happened roughly 2 weeks ago and I still have not heard a response. I paid for a vehicle I could not use, nor could anyone simply pick up the phone to help resolve the situation.The lack of care or attention to their customers is extremely troubling. Everyone should use caution if they decide to rent from this company. It is a budget car rental service...but that does not mean your customers are off on their own once they leave the office. Theres a level of accountability when you lend your vehicle to a 3rd party. Further, by providing a service, employees must be there to help solve problems. Me and my family were stranded without a vehicle due to the failures of the latter. No one felt the obligation to help us.I will update if I ever get a reply.

This is not a good place to rent a car i would rate this place 0 it is run by Hispanic not that i have anything against them but it was a horrible experience first of all they said they are located at the rental terminal they are not. You have to call them to come and pick you up they are 7 minutes away they took 45 minutes to come and get me. The driver was on is phone 📱 texting and calling others and when I ask him to get off the phone he said no englis i reported it to the office and the girl saidits because we are busy they told me that whi i drop the ca off some one will take me back to the air port that was a lie they dont open until 8am theyll tell you 6am you have to drop the car off put the keys on the tire and take a taxi or Uber to the airport and they charge you 15dollar a day for tolls and if you dont want it they charge you$25 every tim you go through a toll plus the toll charges

This place is a scam. They seem to be running some type of insurance scam. They will not accept credit card coverage or personal car insurance coverage of less then $300k liability. You have to take a shuttle to the rental station because it is not in the airport and they refused to take me back because I wouldnt let them shake me down. The place looks sketchy. The office looks like a pop up that is going to be gone tomorrow. Do not rent here. Shame on priceline for working with this company.

After an 18 hour drive from Philadelphia, I arrived super tired to be informed that the reservation was cancelled because I was 1 hour late and they did not have any cars available! (pick up time was 4pm and I arrived around 5pm). Following a complaint, they offered me another car but at an additional cost of $60+ dollars in fees including insurance because they do not take Statefarm! I called Priceline and they issued the rental car cancellation however they told me that when they called Green Motion Luis told them that it was I who decided to cancel and denied the above incident. Smells like a scam to me! Trying to obtain more money from people who are tired from traveling and in need! Feel extremely bad for those who end up having to do business with this company because they do not have any other options. Thankfully I did!

Stay as far away from this company as possible! They get you in by offering the lowest daily prices online but than when you get there they start adding other fees. Very shady business. We rented a car for $18 a day but by the time all the fees were added it was $60 a day! Car was dirty with almost 100k miles on it, they wouldnt accept our full coverage insurance through my own company even after my insurance said they cover rentals. They didnt state this online but actually had the option to choose to use your own insurance. Using their overpriced insurance I was still liable for the first $5000 on a car that might have barely been worth that at all. I will use a more reputable American company next time or even Turo, I definitely recommend trying them out.

Priceline offered us Green Motion Agency in Fort Laurderdale, so we rented the vehicle. They are not located at the airport, van came and picked up us. When we came to the office, we found out that we have to pay additional vehicle insurance, which was not mentioned anywhere. Basically, it is the scam. Although our credit card covers these kind of insurances, and our car insurance covers it, they did not want to accept it. When I said that it was not mentioned anywhere when we made reservation, young lady who works there told me: We are different agency and we work defferently!!! Imagine...So we ended up paying additional insurance $370, plus they keeps additionally $400 for three weeks in case you make some violation, plus we had to pay $15 per day for the activation of something for tolls...So, run away from this agency, do not think even once to rent the vehicle through them. Go to regular agencies, and at the end you will save the money. We have started at $400 and ended up paying $840.

The entire experience was horrible. I would give 0 stars if allowed. I have learned my lesson about renting a cheap car. We Had to pay for their insurance because when we arrived they advised us they wouldnt accept our insurance company (we both have great insurance companies) and we were unaware of the sunpass toll fees. They have many hidden fees when you arrive. Also after we left we noticed they stated on our contract we had a full tank of gas when it was under 1/2. When we went back and asked then to correct it he stated he couldnt and we can take a picture. I wasnt comfortable with that and asked him to hand write it and initial and he had an attitude about it but finally did. They charge $9.95 a gallon to refuel the cars so I think they are scamming people into paying that fee when the tank isnt full to begin with.

Unprofessional and shady!first off they want you to have insurance coverage for 100k-300k, I’ve never had that issue renting from a real reputable rental car company no matter what car I decided to get.They force you to use their sun pass even if you have your own.The cars are beat, dented up, scratched, shake as if they’re gonna fall apart at highway speeds.Lesson learned, I will never rent from this shady Amateur company again.

I am completely baffled by the fact that this rental car is still operating with the amount of horrible reviews it has. Just pay the extra $20/$30 to rent from a reputable rental car agency... Youll end up paying that here with all of the hidden fees and receive terrible customer service. Shame on Priceline for associating themselves with this company. If I could give this company a negative number rating I would. DO NOT. I REPEAT. DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THIS PLACE. They force you to purchase their “optional” rental car insurance. If you don’t purchase the unreasonably priced insurance they will not rent you the car and will keep your money. I cannot stress enough how shady and non transparent this company is. I initially booked a reservation off of Priceline and paid for additional insurance coverage to protect myself. I get to the rental building after 45 min of waiting for their shuttle only to be told that they don’t accept Insurance through Priceline...even though I paid 60 dollars for it. I then asked them to just use my insurance to which they responded “no, it’s not on this list”. this list had maybe 5 insurance companies on it. They then proceeded to tell me that in order to get my car, I had to pay an additional 85 dollars for their insurance. I said fine, I will pay your money. The icing on the cake, however, was when I went to sign I was told that the insurance they made me buy did not even cover their car, as this was only liability insurance for the other vehicle. I canceled my rental and will NEVER rent from this company again. It was horrible service from start to finish and I have never experienced worse customer service in my life. They should be ashamed of themselves and how dishonestly their business is run.

I had the insurance they accept. They still refused it and demanded we pay them more for their fees.My child was injured in their lobby by slipping in standing water. The guy at the counter barely stoped texting to even check us in before refusing to rent us the car.This company is a scam. The good reviews are from employees or paid reviews. THIS IS A SCAM! Do not rent with this company!!!! I booked a car rental with them via Priceline for $18/day. When I landed at the airport, not only did I have to wait over 30 minutes for someone to pick us up and take us to the rental counter, but upon arriving at the counter, they wanted to charge me an additional $20/day for a Sun pass. I told them I already have one, but they said my pass wont work in their vehicles, and if I used mine and not theirs, they would charge me $23/day for not using it. So I agreed to rent the Sun pass. THEN...they asked for my insurance info. I have 300/100/300 limits, and they said they only accept 300/150/300 and that I need to purchase their insurance at $30/day. So we went from $17/day to now $68/day. I told them to cancel my reservation and took at uber instead. Total scam....stay far away!

Youre better off with a more reputable company at the airport. I was lured to this company through a third-party car rental site. The car I rented immediately had issues. For example, I received the car with tire-pressure warning light on. The workers attempted to fill the tires with air, but after that did not fix the issue, they simply told me not to worry about it. Once I began driving, I then noticed the car was given with less than half a tank. It was not long before I stopped the car for a moment the steering wheel locked-- requiring a tow.Not only was the company extremely difficult to reach via phone, they were quite rude and did not offer any apologies or remedies for renting a car with numerous issues. Given their customer service and lack of professionalism, even when they offered to switch the car, I declined and asked for a refund. After some hassle over the phone, they agreed but did not follow up with a receipt, or actually execute a refund.

I booked a car rental from 9/1 to 9/6 with Green Motion through Expedia with a car insurance through Expedia also. These guys are located at remote facility off from the Airport. Once I am there they required a $300,000 coverage policy in order for them to rent me a car or I have to cancel the reservation. They charge $29.99 per day for their insurance policy. I won’t be ripped off so I said please cancel my reservation. The following day I found out that they did not cancel my reservation with Expedia and won’t refund the reservation. These guys are crooks so don’t waste your $$ and time on them.

Scam.scam. scam. Scam. Scam. Read the other reviews. They arent crazy.... these cars are junk, they make you pay a VERY high insurance fee regardless if your car insurance covers rental cars and you arent told that until you pickup the car and basically have to. They randomly charged me extra fees, wont answer my calls to inquire why, I topped off the gas, kept the car very clean, and barely drove it because we were on the strip. They WILL rip you off and I just shut off my card to prevent more.

Didn’t have any major issues with this company but they require a $500 deposit, which is fine but I had to call to request a refund over a month after to get my $30 because they only refunded $470. The $30 refund was supposed to come after 21 days. Had I not been on top of it, I wouldn’t have gotten it, which shouldn’t be the case.

1 star because I was not able to give them a zero star. They charged me a 500.00 deposit and I noticed that they didn’t charge the people before me or after me the same deposit. I had everything they asked for. I had car insurance, major credit card and they still made me take their insurance. They will over convince you to purchase toll both package. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!! I made a reservation online ahead of time. I had some questions before we left so I tried calling like 100 times and no one ever answered. So we just went. At the airport you have to go to a bus stop and call them to tell them you are there so they would send a bus to come get you. We called 10 times and no one answered, except for the one that answered and hung up on me. We were literally stranded there and had to go find another rental, lost my deposit. THIS IS LITERALLY A SCAM, NEVER USE THIS COMPANY.

Absolutely the worst rental car experience I have ever had, and that bar has already been previously set extremely low. I had a reservation I scheduled over one month ago. I arrived on time, and called for the shuttle as per instructions. I called repeatedly and only got voicemail. Three other groups were also waiting; one did manage to get through, and had been told the shuttle was 10 minutes away, but that was at least 30 minutes ago.It took 58 minutes from the time of my first call until the shuttle actually arrived. Then it took another 40 minutes to get my car, with Only a single person in front of me. Staff was unapologetic and moved at a snail’s pace.Definitely do not use this company.

I urge you not to rent from this place! It is way off off airport rental. The service is so slow it took me 45 minutes to get into a rental I already paid for. AND THEN I have to pay more insurance coverage because the insurance I have Travelers and the extra coverage I paid for online when I rented the car isn’t enough coverage? What!? And because I’m stuck out here in the middle of no where I’m stuck paying so I can get a car a get to where I need to go. NEVER AGAIN!

I would give them minus review if that option is available. They’re fraud. They don’t accept any other insurance other than what they sell you there. They need 300k coverage for 25k car. Car is not maintained and they give you car with problems. They will charge your credit card in 2 part for deposit. One part is $470 and other part is $30. They will not refund $30 after you return car. I am highly disappointed with their fraud. That company should shut off for ripping off people. AVOID AT ALL COST using Green Motion Rental Car in Fort Lauderdale, FL!1) They are to pick you up at the airport. It is at an off site location which closes at 8pm. They reopen at 8am. After waiting for a pick-up at the airport for 20-30 minutes, we called them. They had an answering machine on their phone, with no ability to leave a message to be picked up. Fortunately we got there just before they closed. Otherwise you will have to pay for a taxi in a lousy part of town.2) They will charge exorbitant insurance charges even if you have your own insurance (unless it is with one of their approved carriers).3) They will charge $250.00 if you return the car dirty.4) They will film you with any preexisting damage to the car.Do yourself a huge favor and stay away from this company. They dont deserve a rating because they are dishonest. My security deposit was $500 because I decided to use my auto insurance instead of using theirs. From that $500, I was told $470 will be back on my card when the car is returned. The $30 they said is for any incurred toll fees, will be refunded after 21 days, if none was found and there was none to be found. It is more than a month now and there have been no response from anyone at the company and I am yet to see my money back on my credit card. I am not recommending this place to anyone because they are not honest in their dealings. I have notified the agency that did the booking and expressed my dissatisfaction.

I flew from California to Florida on a 8 day adventure to visit Step Son and Green Motion is not only a scam but joke! After getting off the plane come to find out the rental car place is 2.5 miles from airport with no shuttle offered like it says in your trip plan so we ended up paying $30 for a taxi! I did as much research as needed because of course nothing is free right!! Well guess what, if you call Green motion ahead of time it is! I asked the lady what I needed for insurance and explained what I already had and she assured me on the phone I exceeded the requirements through my own insurance! The car is not free right, that’s what your thinking! Well it is supposed to be as a package deal! So she agreed it was free on the phone before I left California and booked it! Well guess what, all a waste of time! Here I was across the country and out $400 in insurance cost and rental fees! Even after calling and verifying all I needed once your there your stuck! Worst rental experience I’ve ever had. Made to wait 40 minutes at the curb, horrible fees, horrible customer service.I rented with Clubs Fort Lauderdale, which apparently is the same as Green Motion because they’re in the same building. I booked through discovercars.com. Their site prides itself on no hidden fees, so I felt comfortable with the site and it seemed to have great reviews.When I received my rental agreement from Clubs I saw a note about only accepting 5 insurance companies from “local renters”. Since I was from out-of-state I thought I was good. Little did I know, I should have read the agreement more thoroughly, as anyone from the US or Canada is considered local.When flying to Florida I began receiving texts from Clubs inquiring about my arrival. I told them the flight and estimated arrival time. When landing I immediately texted them that we’d landed. They told me to let them know the door we were at once we were ready. I told them we would be at door 1 and were waiting on baggage claim. They said to let them know when waiting at the curb. At that time, less than 10 minutes later, they said it’d be 30 minutes before the car arrived to pick us up. Our plane arrived on time and we were in constant communication with Clubs. And that was just the beginning...Once at the rental office they take you to a second room. In that room, with no furniture other than their desk, there was water on the floor and the setup was completely unsettling. We were quickly informed that we needed to provide proof of insurance, which I did. I was told it wasn’t valid because it didn’t match their allowed insurances. It was at that point that I realized “local” meant anyone in US or Canada. The price went from $166 to $363, a 119% increase!! I was frustrated but at that point we needed the car and had no other options.Since we were required to buy the insurance I requested a copy of what I had to buy. The agent didn’t have it and said the supervisor would email it to me. I never received the insurance, so I’d guess it truly doesn’t even exist.We were driving to the Keys and the person attempted to pressure us into purchasing a $15/day toll pass even though the Keys have no tolls. Even after I told them that, they still tried to pressure us to make the purchase.The car had 45,000 miles on it with multiple dents and stains. It idled poorly and at one point made a bad noise starting and died. We felt lucky when we returned the car without any car trouble.Upon return, there was not a rep at the site to take us back to the airport, despite us arriving within 15 minutes of our estimated time.I would not wish this experience on my worst enemy and would not rent with Clubs or through discovercars.com again.

This was a horrible experience. From the beginning and having to wait for a shuttle from the airport to trying to get the car. They wouldn’t take American Express or my debit card. They wouldn’t take my partner’s visa because they reservation wasn’t in their name. And We couldn’t change the reservation to her name. Finally they would use the debit card, only after charging me an additional $115!!!!! Then we were told to pull up some insurance form from our personal insurance that took forever to find. They also tried to get us to pay for a toll pass that was $75! It was 2 tolls!! Stay away from this company.

Do not rent from this place! Took them 45 minutes to first pick us up from the airport and then an hour to check in and get our car. When dropping our car off at 7 AM (they open at 5 AM) the doors were locked and they were closed. Their phone number goes straight to a voicemail. We had to leave the car with the keys in it and get an Uber to the airport or we would have missed our flight. Not at all worth the cheap price!

We booked through Priceline. Once we got shuttled to the Green Motion office, we were told they needed us to purchase their $40 per day insurance because our insurance wasnt on their list of acceptable companies (Geico, All State, Progressive, E-Surance, Liberty Mutual, Nationwide) we mentioned that the Priceline website gives us the option to purchase insurance for $13 per day which they also refused that insurance saying they no longer accept it. We had no other option but to pay for their insurance. If I wasnt stuck in a thunderstorm with 3 children I would have walked away but because of my circumstances I was forced to pay for it. We are in the process of disputing these overcharges with my bank. There is huge discrepancies on their fine print. Green Motion is running a scam and arent honoring their terms and conditions. BEWARE!!!!

All four tires were completely and dangerously bald. I had to fill the right rear tire with air seven times during my week long trip. Every morning I woke up with the tire being flat.I also received the car with half a tank guy they marked it as having a full tank.They also did not accept my insurance and forced me to purchase theirs, which was an additional $20/day.The car also smelled of cigarettes.

They told me they dont use their insurance so it wouldnt be covered and then they try and charge me $170 to use their insurance for 3 DAYS!!!!! HOW?!?!?! And then a $500 security deposit?!?!?! Just nowI rented a car at in Fort Lauderdale through wise cars at a company called Green motion USA/ Óptimo rental car and this was the worst Experience ever. I was supposed to get picked up at the airport at 11:00 pm, I kept calling The company and they kept sending me to voicemail. When I finally got a hold of the owner Alberto a very unprofessional, negligent and irresponsible person. He told me that the office closes at 10:30 pm and that they couldn’t wait for every flight, that I needed to wait until the next day in the morning at 8:00 am. I obviously got really upset because when they called me over the phone they had said I was going to get picked up at 11 because they knew my flight landed at 10:50 pm. Alberto kept arguing with me and I hanged up the phone on him as his attitude and customer service was unacceptable. He had told me that the office opened at 8:00 Am the next day, when I go in the next day, came to find out he had cancelled my reservation because he was too butt hurt that his petty self decided to cancel my reservation without my request. And he didn’t even refund me the money. I then saw other people complaining about his company which should be shut down as he’s stealing money from people and canceling their reservation before their arrival. Alberto is not capable of providing good quality customer service and wise car should not partner with such companies like Óptimo Cars rental and green motion USAPLEASE AVOID USING Alberto’s rental car company (Óptimo rental car) through green motion USA at all cost he will steal your money and treat you poorly.

I am giving this establishment one star, only because that was the lowest option offered. Their customer service is some of the worst I’ve encounter in any business. When picking up my rental car, the lady working told me toll options. I repeatedly asked her if I could pay as I go as I previously had done while in Florida. She said I could. There was a communication breakdown on both our parts, I assume, because the toll booths no longer had the option to drive through and pay. Upon returning my rental, I tried to tell the gentlemen working that there obviously a communication barrier between the lady and myself. I tried to pay for the tolls I’d missed, but he was very rude and did not care to hear what I had to say. I asked for his name and he told me it was David. Later, I asked the shuttle driver for the rude male employee’s name and was told Jose. Looking at other reviews, employees must not be held accountable for their lack of customer service. I should have read these reviews before ever using this company. I will not make that mistake again.
