Cheri was fantastic. After a 6 hr flight with 2 kids, she was able to relate and expedite our check-in. Cheri’s customer service was excellent with us and seemingly with the couple in front of us. I don’t usually take the time to post reviews but this individual deserves to be recognized for performing so well and having such a great attitude.
Excellent customer service at check-in counter at the airport. My rep, Brigette, offered superior service. She informative and insightful. They need to hire more versions of her to work desks. However, I will have note an unfavorable experience of when I had to walk out to the terminal to pick-up my car. The car I was placed in had a low-engine oil. Not ideal if I have to drive the car for an extended period of time, safety concerns. I ended up paying for an upgrade to a safer vehicle because I wasn’t sure if the other vehicles on the platform I reserved would have safety concerns.
While standing in line for the 2nd hour to pick up my rental with another company I saw the signs for Sixt and that their line was moving efficiently. I pulled up the website, saw the pricing wasnt much more than the economy rental I had made with the other company and booked it! I left the non-moving line picked up a beautiful BMW X2 and was out of the airport in 20 minutes to enjoy my precious vacation time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I had a WONDERFUL experience at the airport location. All of the staff were very nice and respectful. The car was way cleaner than I expected and the rental process was very smooth. They also had a much larger selection of cars than I expected. I will DEFINITELY rent from here again in the future.

I have never rented a car where I felt like a company was so fee happy. Fee here fee there fee for everything. If you are going to charge so much make the tolls included or have someone better to explain the process.If I’m paying to rent a car seat have someone assist me with getting a car seat. I walked to my rental car and had to go back to the Sixt booth to ask for a car seat. I was told to grab my own from a shelf behind the booth.Be a little flexible about returns. My car was due back at 5:30p. I asked for it to be extended fo 7:30p because of my late flight. I was told I would be charged an additional day. Ridiculous after spending so much money with Sixt.+$100 for toddler car seat, +$100 for toll pass… my rental cost more than my stay in a hotel for a week.
Its not just a bad experience, they try to scam !I was renting a car for 4 days, when we drop off their vehicle, lady look over it and said that everything fine and ask me to sign inspection. After one week I received an email with claim, it says that I made two damages, scratch rear door and dent on rear passenger door !! After one week seriously!? And after their employee check everything and let me sign inspection!The reason why Im saying that its a scam because Im professional car hauler and I made my own inspection before start driving, inspection with all damages and pictures. I made it through special app and sent inspection report to their email before start driving, my report contains these two damages that they trying to blame me. Another thing that they provide baby car seat that cant work properly, first one was without base, second was without belt holders. And fuel tank was not full ! Avoid or double check everything and make pictures. I will attach claim and pictures they sent to me and will add my pictures with red marker around damage.
First time renter AND WAS SKEPTICAL because of the cheap price. When i arrived i got the car i reserved and an upgrade. While walking to my car i saw Benz Jeeps, BMW jeeps and other high-end and was shocked at them being new model vehicles and were for rent. Very impressed with this company and employees at checkout and return. i will be back.
The gave me an estimate at the pick up location. The agent there was very professional and nice. While I was driving the car started beeping and showed a maintenance required message in the screen. It kept coming up during the trip. I returned the vehicle 4 hours after picking up and with half the tank. I didn’t want to stop at all, not even to fill the tank because of the beeping message. At the return location the manager told me they would charge me gas station price for the gas. Oh surprise when the final receipt arrives it has all this hidden fees: late return fee, gas priced at 10$ per gallon, etc etc. The rental estimate went from $114 to $190. Outrageous. Do not use this company they will not be honest about their charges.
Sixt was absolutely horrible, except for the staff member at the Fort Lauderdale Airport, Cheri, who was excellent. I made my reservation with Sixt directly on the phone. I had to call 4 times: the first time, someone picked up my call but they ignored me and I listened to talking and laughing for 2 minutes before hanging up. The second and third calls cut out while I was on hold, and the fourth call was the first time I got a person. They gave me bad information on the call about paying with debit, saying that there would be no extra fee (I asked this question like 5 different ways just to make sure), just a refundable deposit, but when I went to pick up my car, I was told that there was a fee of over $100 extra to use debit, plus the deposit, and not only that, but they didnt have the type of car available that I had reserved ahead of time (how is that even possible?! I reserved it with them!!), so they said I would have to pay extra for a luxury car, and that because it would be a luxury car, that I would need to pay for their premium (and expensive) insurance, even though I had my own full coverage. So not only did they not have the car I reserved, they basically quadrupled the price! It was outrageous. Cheri, the desk staff at the airport, was very kind and understanding, and went way out of her way to work the charges out to exactly what I had been quoted to me by Sixt staff on the phone, even though I had to upgrade to a luxury vehicle. I am so grateful to her, Sixt was an absolute nightmare, and she was very gracious and helpful. But, Sixt as a company---avoid them, or at least pay no mind to the call center.
We have been customers for at least 5 years and all I can say its a very reliable rental car company with a great deals and a great customer service. Anastasia is our best and preferred assistant. She is awesome and helpful and she is one of the reasons we are keep on coming back ....Simply the BEST !!!!

We rent from Sixt when we visit the Miami area and have had mostly positive experiences. They have a nice car selection if youre looking to rent a luxury car however, do not expect to have a certain car secured because its possible it will not be available. Read the fine print as there seems to be conditions to all of their policies. Brigitte helped us and was super helpful, thorough, and professional!
Do not, I repeat, do not use Sixt. Terrible experience. If you book online and pay in advance, they will not refund you, but if you book online and choose to pay at pickup and then choose to cancel then they will not require you to pay anything. Makes no sense. Even if you have to cancel due to COVID they will not refund you for a service you never used.
Booked through Priceline and didnt know their name. But easy to find, easy to work with, quality car, good prices. Fast in, fast out. Will definitely book again.
I reserved and prepaid online. When I got to airport I was informed my debit card was not good enough and they would refund my money and I had to use a credit card. Then I was also informed they had to take out a $500 deposit on my credit card. The car itself had obviously been smoked in. There was damaged in front rims unreported and a big vibration when braking. The wipers were worn out and the visibility while driving was terrible. I ended up having to clean the windows myself because there was no washer fluid. I got very little information when I returned the car. We will email you. Oh ok..then why is my bill $100 more than what I prepaid??? I gave them a shot, the get lucky on a premium car seemed like fun but in the end, my recommendation is to avoid this company. Also in case you are wondering, I did inform the people of my issues when I dropped it off as well as send questions through their system about my issues and the only response I got was a bot email saying the we got your questions.
Great lobby atmosphere and service. cars are not always in best shape though. our Cadillac Escalade had grime on the steering wheel which is very very easily spotted. it wasnt cleaned so we just did it ourselves, but for the price youd expect them to pay attention to the basic, makes you wonder what details they miss as well. overall good though

I was charged $300 for a smoking charge and I dont smoke!This happened over a month ago and I havent been able to get in touch with anyone on the phone since.I would avoid renting from here at all costs.
This is the first time I have rented from Sixt. Good rates, friendly staff. However I wish they had more flexibility on returns. Not keep to the exact times you pick up is the same as drop off. My arrival time was not the same as my departure time. Plus my flight was delayed by 3 hrs. It would have been nice to have some wiggle room in returning the vehicle and not having to spend 8 hrs in the airport for my flight.

We initially booked a BMW X1 along with another family we were traveling with but after arriving to the rental service center the representative advised us that our SUVs would be too small for all our luggages, she offered us a larger upgrade to a BMW X7. Yes it was more money, however, it was BRAND NEW, with 7 miles on it. It was clean large and roomy for our family of 4 and all our 8 luggages and carry ons . We were very pleased with this SUV for our trip to the Miami and the Florida Keys. Great on Gas. While all the other rental agencies like Budget, Avis, Enterprise had HUGE lines at the airport, this SIXT car rental hub was brightly orange lit, and no line. The whole process was efficient and quick. We were in and out and on our way with no hiccups. Car delivered promptly and car return was just as easy and efficient. We will definitely rent from this car rental again and highly recommend to others.
I call after a “emergency coolant low” light came on the dashboard of a Jaguar that I rented Tuesday 22 of June, my wife asked a female representative (African American) I’m African American myself so I know, if she purchase coolant for the vehicle if we will be reimbursed. The woman told my wife she can purchase it if she wanted to or return the vehicle. My wife explained we were miles away and returning was not possible, they both started to get heat and this woman hang up the phone on me and my wife. We had to call and asked for a manager and the next lady (Another African American) wanted to argue with me, I desist from arguing with her until she turned me over to a manager that told us to go ahead and purchase the coolant and we will be reimbursed. I made a report to the “manger” but I would guess he wasn’t a manager just someone that’s pretending to be just so he can do the right thing to save this woman’s job.
Do not rent from here! If I could them zero stars I would. I rented through Hotwire and they seemed upset I didn’t rent directly through them. They did not have the car I requested and wanted to charge me to upgrade. Typically any car rental would upgrade for free. Instead she wanted to charge more. She did not help at all. Very unprofessional. And to make matters worse she charged my credit card for a car that was not even given. Just stay away. They are a knock off company.
We had already reserved car online and was able to start our vacation very quickly. Website was quick and easy to use. Sixt staff identified our reservation and put us in a vehicle in under 20 minutes. They were very informative and extremely friendly. This was my first experience with sixt and I look forward to using them for our next vacation.
It was incredibly expensive and some (not all) of the staff was thoroughly indifferent to waiting customers. The gentlemen who helped me (ultimately) was a pleasure. His colleague couldnt be bothered to assist anyone. The price for a car was obscene. $760 ($952 with taxes and Sun Pass) were over $950 FOR 4 DAYS. I will likely not be using Sixt again. It went from a great reasonably priced company for good cars to grossly overpriced.
Terrible experience, car smelled like smoke and then they overcharged me by $110. When I picked up the car they had added the toll option even though I declined it and I was overcharged anyway. Emailed them 48 hours go and no response. Phone service option is difficult to find on their site. Dont use Sixt. Its not worth it.Just received this response from SixtAt Sixt customer satisfaction is our ultimate goal. This is why we are always available at your convenience for any questions or concerns you may have.With our prepaid rate you always pay the expected rental price at the moment of your reservation. A refund is unfortunately not possible, also not when the booking get changed. This difference will be displayed on your invoice as prepaid difference.I made no changes other than removing the toll charge I never authorized. I have an email from Sixt when I reserved that shows the correct price. Stay away from Sixt-worst rental experience in my life
At the airport, they pulled the old bait and switch with us: they didnt have the car we reserved BUT they could upgrade us for another $30/day! The entire process of checking in to get our car took about 20 minutes of just standing at the counter. Much of that time, the employee said nothing. She could have done a better job of keeping us updated on the process of finding another vehicle for us. It also would have been nice if she was friendly, made eye contact, and appeared to enjoy working with the public. None of the above. When we finally got to our vehicle, we opened the door and the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming. We then had to go back to the counter and get another vehicle. Thankfully, the second time around was quick. We were very happy with the vehicle we ended up getting. It was comfortable, low miles, and in great condition. This was our first time renting with Sixt. We will give them one more shot and hope for a better check in experience.
Good prices and similar overall experience to other firms. Was disappointed that I was 4 hours early for reservation, but told I had to wait until actual reservation time to get car. As it was the middle of the night this meant leaving and renting the next morning. Otherwise a good experience.

Just look over your car with a fine tooth comb because at return, SIXT will! I also would request a final bill before signing.I rated it high because the rental agent was nice Car was very nice. The wait was minimal.Just know what you want before you hit the rental counter . An educated consumer is recommended.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I rented a car for 2 days and returned it with a full tank of gas. One week later I received an invoice charging me over $100 for gas. There is no phone number to call and no email to contact anyone. Check the website for yourself, notice how there is no contact information. I am very angry at this point. I will be disputing the full charge through my credit card company and maybe then I will get someones attention to resolve the matter. If I get my money back, okay, however I am out several hours of time trying to chase down a human to talk to me and fix the error. Disgraceful way of doing business.
The employee at the rental counter - Fabian - totally relieved my stress and fatigue after arriving at FLL. He was super polite, efficient and competent. Nice upgraded car (Land Rover) for a great price - even with return to a different airport. Highly recommend!!
Was recommended a bigger vehicle by employee to handle a larger bag (golf clubs). They did not fit. I attempted to exchange the vehicle back to the original reservation and get reimbursed for the upgrade charges of a vehicle recommendation that didnt work. I was denied the reimbursement, but able to exchange. Manager cited, We understand you prefer a certain make and model, but we can never guarantee those makes an models. It has nothing to do with that!!! Dont recommend, upgrade and charge me for an upgrade that WILL NOT WORK! My original reservation wouldnt have worked, the upgrade didnt work for my needs, so dont make me pay more for the same outcome!! I was able to adapt my plans with the exchanged original reservation and get my guests other transportation elsewhere, while I transported the bags. But the 3 golf bags and guests would not have fit in recommended upgrade vehicle. So why pay for it. Im still trying to deal with management to take care of this issue. Im hoping they can do the right thing. Just dont make recommendations if it wont work. Especially ones that have a significant financial impact.

Return was super easy & fast! Everyone was nice there.Good pricing as well. Will definitely use them in the future.
Very good experience renting from Sixt. There was very little waiting for the agent at the counter, the process was quick and easy, and the vehicle was ready and was nice and clean. The return was handled very quickly as well. The staff was friendly and courteous. Anastasia recommended an upgrade from my original reservation, and it was worth it. I would definitely rent from SIXT again.
Be aware of many hidden fees that they purposely do not disclose so they can rack up your charges. The car we rented wasn’t available so they “upgraded” us for an additional charge. Very poor customer service. Will never rent from Sixt again. I would give 0 stars if I could!
Location did not have luxury car vehicle reserved weeks in advance available. Only options given at same rate were luxury SUV when they had luxury cars in stock that were priced higher. I felt as if it was a bait and switch since I did not want to pay nearly double the rental price to get what I consider to be a similar vehicle they gave me something no one else wants.
Car was good and clean but I got a parking ticket and it top of the fine of $88 they charged me $40 . Administrative fee, so be aware . I would definitely not used them again
Ive been renting with Sixt Rental car for over 3 years. this was the worst customer services I received in my entire life from Lynette and another black girl in the garage. absolutely no respect for customer, the girl in the garage literally threw key at me. Lynette had 5 or 6 other sedan at the time of my pick up she lied saying she only had one Volvo V wagon available, she constantly lying to me saying she had no other sedans to give me. which was a lied confirmed by other employees. the vehicles she forced on me, the check engine came on minutes after I got on the Hway. totally wasted my time.TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL.
I arrived at the FLL airport very late in the evening after long flight delays from Puerto Rico. I had to rush in order to get to the rental desk before closing. When I arrived at the counter I was greeted and assisted by Brigitte who was outstanding. Not only was she very pleasant, but also very caring.She went through the rental process very efficiently but in detail as she understood I was still a few hours away from my final destination. Thank you Brigitte for such a great service.
Be very careful renting from Sixt, this is a copy of the feedback I gave them when I returned my vehicle. You can’t talk to an agent, they are using COVID as an excuse not to answer phones.I filled the vehicle up with gas when it was totally empty, it cost me $47. I brought the vehicle back and it had just under a half of a tank of guess. I just looked at my invoice and I was charged $133 for bringing the vehicle back not full. Im assuming you put $33 in gas and the extra $100 is an admin fee. That is 100% criminal and a customer unfriendly grab. You as a company should be very proud of yourself because ha ha you grabbed another sucker for $100. The laugh is on you because I normally rent 4-5 weeks a year and this will be the last dime you will get from me. Also, I will make sure by sending out reviews that you lose at least 10 more rentals. So, Ha ha, the $100 you grabbed from is going to cost you $1000’s.
My experience with this service was horrible I originally went online an reserved a Mercedes which is a prestige vehicle but when I went to retrieve the vehicle they did not have it available I asked for something within the same class they wanted $60 per day i felt that it was more of a scam because I already reserved online instead they have me a Volvo!! Which is a luxury vehicle For the same amount as the Mercedes It was a major down grade so please be aware of this company if I couldve rated them a 0 I wouldve!! Also I had to put down a $200 deposit that I cant seem to get back after I return the vehicle cant reach anyone even with the online service keeps rerouting me.
Very fast, professional, and friendly service. Car was in perfect condition. Very easy to find the location at this airport, and the car was a 30-second walk from the counter. Im impressed and will definitely consider renting a car from them in the future.

Picking up the car at FLL was quick, no line, no wait. First car had a smoke smell, but they quickly switched us to another. Car was clean and well appointed. Fast, easy drop-off as well.
Ive only rented from your company twice. I travel very often and normally utilize enterprise, however I was attracted to your company because of the vehicle selections. However, my 1st rental I was charged for gas, when I returned the vehicle with more gas than It had when I received it. It took almost 2 weeks for those monies to be refunded. This rental, my deposit was outrageous, however I paid it, But the vehicle wasnt ready, I waited 45 minutes for it to be cleaned, once i got to it, it had undocumented damage and the drivers mirror was inoperable. Because this was a Mercedes, I wasnt willing to take the chance, and later be charged for pre existing damage. I went back inside and was offered a complimentary upgrade, since no other vehicles in the class i reserved was available I accepted the upgrade although I didnt really want or like it. Now I have received my final invoice, which took much too long to receive (2 days) and I was charged full price for that vehicle class. Absolutely unexceptable. It appears that with your company, it is some shady business practices going on and to never be abke to speak with a customer service representative is also a huge issue. At this point I will probably not use your service again. and right now Im still waiting on my refund or any communication at all about why I was over charged. Very disappointed.
At the moment, this is the best rental company I have ever used.Firstly, their mobile app is the highest score! I have not seen such a convenient, logical, fast, bright, and rich in colors, simple application for a long time. I don’t plan to rent a car in the next few months, but I don’t want to remove their application, because it’s cool!Secondly, the website. This is the best website among all rental companies. All the same, epithets apply to it as above. Moreover, they always have some discounts, bonuses, promotions. This is not about the website, BUT it is visible, and anyone can use it.Office. Again, saturated bright colors, everything is very clean, everything is shiny, all stands are fresh, nothing is lying around. I was very impressed. Everything is on tablets, no noisy keyboards, and loud computers.Staff. Super friendly and professional. They talk in great detail about everything of the contract. They explained why it is worth taking additional insurance. In the end, I still did not take it, but they clearly explained to me that Florida has different rules. In general, the staff is very trained, savvy in all matters, and very very tidy. Good-looking mens and womens suits. This is a very high level!Parking. All cars are parked neatly. When I checked out, I didn’t even worry that I could touch another vehicle.Cars. All vehicles of the last year. It doesnt matter if you take the BMW 7 Series or Toyota Corolla. It is commendable, and you want to pay for it!Email. I hate getting a lot of emails from companies. After I handed over the car, I received several at once. BUT, their emails are interesting to read, which means that they approach this business very professionally, and I don’t even want to unsubscribe. And this means that they are doing everything right!I will definitely use their service next time, even if it will be more expensive. Here you pay for a pleasant high-level service! And this is what you want to receive when you are on vacation.

We rented a car with Sixt on several occasions and always got pleasant experience. Booking online is smooth and easy, no charges upfront, no hidden fees when it comes to check out in rental desk. Staff is professional, no pushing with unwanted services; the booking is short, we were able to get car key within minutes.During our last reservation in Fort Lauderdale we had to leave sooner, than planned, due to unforeseen circumstances. And our payment was prorated and refunded to our account at checkout. The agent was knowledgeable and professional. He reassured us that we will be charged for days of using car only without need of calling customer service/manager/company. The Sixt is a sound company, which attends to customers needs and we will definitely rent a car with them in future.
I was hoping for my first US SIXT experience to match what I have been accustomed too in Europe. The experience was even better. The walk way to the rental offices was decorated in orange, the customer service person was knowledgeable and plenty of touch screen technology for checking in. And as always, the car is not the common stripped down version that you see from other rental companies. Leather, plenty of upgrades you would see in your own car at home. Very nice. We will be renting from SIX again.

Was warned NEVER to use SIXT because of damage claims they make make MONTHS after rentals… well. Just got mine in August for a rental in April. This brand is a scam. Too many other options at FLL to waste risking renting with them. If you would like to WORRY about claims emailed to you months after rentals? By all means rent HERE!
The supervisor seem to not want to assist or accommodate my needs and said that she prefers to give the nicer cars to people who she thinks is trustworthy???? She was referring to ethnicity and she was a minority herself smh. Never rent here. Or any Sixt. Bogus fees and not well maintained cars especially for an airport location
Rented a car at Ft Lauderdale Airport. Was offered purchase of a Sunpass for $39 but declined. They said they would bill is for individual tolls instead. When we got the bill, it was for $29. $6 of it was for the actual tolls and the rest was for processing fees. I feel like this is dishonest so I will never use Sixt again. I go to FL twice each year and I rent a car every time I go. I hope they enjoy the $20 they stole from me because it is the last time they will see a dime of my money.
The worst experience I have ever had with any car rental!!! Its been three weeks and I still dont have my deposit back!! No live person to call and sent them a email and it took 2 weeks to get a response, had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau ..still waiting
Most experiences at rental car companies are less than pleasant. I have to say that my experience here (at FLL airport) was absolutely stellar! Lynette M absolutely hustled the entire time. She was very efficient and wanted to make certain that my family and I were taken care of. Experiences like this will have me coming back! Great job Lynette!
Great service, but long wait time to book the car. I had an online booking already, and the line was not that long but it took about one hour to be called.
We rented 2 cars from Brigitte on May 24 at ft Lauderdale airport. She was fantastic—friendly, efficient and got us all on our way in no time. This was our 1st time using Sixt and her service was excellent.
Very nice receiving area at the airport. FLL. Nice car. Prices are sky high. Check in was good but since Sixt has all of my data in their computer it should have been quicker. Not a big problem but it could be better. Overall a good company but if prices continue at this rate I am going elsewhere.

I wish I had done more research and read the FINER print under the FINE print. As we were preparing for a trip to FL, I decided to pre pay for a vehicle on their website with specific details on make model of a pretty decent tier vehicle.Sixt told us that their Miami location has no vehicles available. We had to pay a $100 cab from Miami to Fr Lauderdale after a long tiresome flight with our young son and fiancé who does not travel much let alone rental issues at a flight company.I paid for a full protected package, drivers, all that. As we got there Alonso, Alfred, Albert or whatever His name was made sure to take advantage of Hot exhausted people families with a fake smile and aggressive up sell Tactic of any extra service which irritated me. Later he realized that I already prepaid for a full car with all the appropriate services added in. He then dropped on us that car, in the tier I PAID for “IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR CREDIT CARDS”. Yes I am pretty blind and do wear lenses with a -5.25 prescription but that really side winded me. So to quickly summarize he upsold us $300 more dollars on top of what I had already paid for some random thing(8hour sleep deprivation and crying families is what made me pay more instead of complain on the spot) . Loaned us a vehicle the 1/4 of the value and quadruple the price of the original daily rental quote for that specific vehicle. “ Its cause we don’t have much regulars “ I can see why I thought to myself. After a 5 hour flight through the early morning my family was already upset, tired, scared even. I’m even sure he was ecstatic to realize I didn’t fully read their little requirements. Personally I think they should not approve debit cards for vehicles that require credit cards for certain clients that have not been through a loyalty programmer something . The vehicle itself had no charging port, no Bluetooth, nor navigation. Now I’d be fine if a vehicle didn’t have that but they shouldn’t have to lie about those options to get people renting. The good part I will say was the gas mileage. 5/5 would not recommend to most people.Thank you, google folks Y’all are beautiful.
Be careful with Sixt rental car, the employees are trained to mislead customers in thinking they are being upgraded for free then at the end you will see an upgrade charge. Please see deceptive trade act.
It is a nice company to rent cars from. Friendly staff, courteous, and gets you right on your way. I would rent from Sixt again.

This is clearly a leisure rental company, which is good to know (albeit after the fact). For business customers looking for a fast check out and better cars than Hertz, this is not a good option.They promise a particular car at the time of reservation (and at an awesome price). Then, they “upgraded” me. When I asked, the team member said they actually never had the car that had been promised. That’s not a good sign. All of this is done through an in-person, slow 1990s era process. They try to sell a ton of overpriced add ons.They also announced that they have a (higher) $500 deposit for the “free upgrade.” I’m fortunate that I can manage that, but how would it feel to be “upgraded” and then not be able to afford the upgrade deposit? Silly policy, especially if applied to someone on vacation with family.Asked for a fast pass for the car, but it was not provided.I’d pass unless there was a very clear reason to try these folks again on a business trip.
SIXT Customer service cant be beat. Hands down they will always make it right and their fleet of vehicles is far superior to the others,Volvo, Infiniti, etc. Truly a classy organization.
We booked a car with Sixt. When we picked up our car they deviously tried to add $100 (or so) insurance to the rental. I saw it just as I was placing my credit card in machine. They quickly took that charge off. Upon return, they charged me a $10 late fee for being one hour late. The reason we were late is all entrances to the airport were closed when we were returning the car due to a bomb threat at the airport! We literally could not return the car at the appointed time.The worst and unwarranted charge was the $150 cleaning fee! Yes, there was some sand on the floor the car...normal sand that would be brought into a car on your shoes after a day at the beach. Not much at all really. There was no other trash or dirt in the vehicle. I am still at a loss as to why that would warrant a heavy cleaning charge.
I rented a car for 6 days. The staff were very friendly when I approached the counter to get the car. Also I think it was a fair price for the rent, considering the high demand on these days
BE WARNED!! I had a great experience until after the car was returned. I got slapped with $150 extra cleaning fee because there was some sand in the car. I would have gone to the nearest car wash and vacuumed it out for $5 if I had of known. After sharing my concern with customer service they told me that they were in the right and they aren’t doing anything to change it. So be careful. If you leave some sand or dirt in your car you may get charged $150 for a “special cleaning fee”
We were in a panic after our rental car through Economy was given away without any warning or notice, but SIXT at Ft. Lauderdale literally saved us from being stranded and helped us regain our mental sanity.Our flight from Bahamas got delayed 3 hours while we waited at a tiny one room airport shack with only an outside curb for the waiting area. There was no food available in or around the airport and once we finally arrived at FLL, customs was extremely backed up and took us another 3 hours to get through. When I called about our reservation with Economy while in the customs line they had given our car away although we had already checked in and we’re given no further instructions in our confirmation for additional checks ins.After traveling with 2 young kids and my husband after 6 hours of back ups, no food for 12 hours, 1000 miles away from home, a 2 hour drive from my in laws, while sandwiched between thousands of people at customs during a pandemic, I went into a complete anxiety attack and a mental breakdown when I called Economy just to find out our rental car was unapologetically given away with no mercy. After much arguing with two reps at Economy who had zero compassion and no alternatives, we frantically scrambled to check availability at other car rental companies at FLL through online search engines.Sixt was one of the first to come up with affordable prices and availability. We called Sixt panicking and upset, but the representative reassured us they could take care of us, helped calm us down and quickly found us a car to suit our family’s needs and budget. While on the phone the Sixt rep quickly and efficiently reviewed our vehicle choices after her telling what we needed, provided different price options, and set up the rental over the phone while we waited in the customs line.Once we made it to the SIXT check in desk we were in our rental car within 15 minutes. In the end it actually worked to our benefit because we got a BETTER, UPGRADED vehicle for $100 less through SIXT last minute than our reservation through ECONOMY that was booked 6 weeks prior. We were amazed at the inventory of rental cars available that SIXT had on the lot during a high need period of time, at more affordable prices than competitors who subpar customer service.The rental car return was even easier, clearly communicated, and saved us time to make our flight home. Sixt will have us as customers for life and we won’t be using any other rental car companies as long as Sixt is located in future destinations we travel to.

FRAUD, pure and simple. And ZERO customer service. Theyll add all kinds of nonsense fees when you check in like flex location return or some ridiculous thing like that even if you return it to the same place. These guys are BAD, fraudulent and generally predatory in nature. Keep far away.

The way they have the system setup is crazy, I wonder how many other customers have ended up not coming back in the future over stuff like this. I paid up front which is good for the company’s cash flow. Now I need to make a minor change due to the airline canceling my flight, and sixt rental car reservations can only help me out for a extra 1800 dollars. Sounds like the mafia is in charge. I guess it would of paid off to use the competitor for a couple of hundred more, at least they would of be able to help me and not give me a royal screwing in the process. Next time i know which rental company im going to shy away from. Good luck to anyone who dares!
This was my first time hearing of and using this company and I was pleasantly surprised! Rafi T at the counter in FLL was amazing! We received a complimentary upgrade to a Range River Discovery and I loved it! Quick and easy at pick up and drop off!

I rented a car there Late December 2019. While the overall experience was not bad the first car they gave me had a list of at least 10 dents on the car that I was suppose to sign off on without seeing. I did because we were in a hurry. When I got to the it was as they said full of dents and scratches . When I looked in the passenger seat was clearly stained and the drivers seat had stuck gum on it.I had to go back and ask for a new car, that went amazingly smooth and I got a relatively new shiny car.Other issue, I have not rented for a few years and was confused with Florida toll fees. The original counter person told me it would be better if I paid $50 up fron there wise I’d went to a toll they would charge me at the very least $76 plus tolls. I took the prepay with the intent on revisiting on Sixt web site and the Sixt representative said I could back out at end of trip. The website was not clear and said to speak to a representative. When I returned my car the first representative was unclear on the policy. I went inside to discuss and was told if I didn’t accept the $50 it would be a $5 fee for each toll plus the toll. Needless to say I had no time to do anything and left as is. I think the policy should be clearly written down. I am still not clear and I feel I was forced to pay additional unnecessary fees.Last but not least I returned my car all was well immediate got an email from Sixt stating all was well, but it has been 3 day now and my $200 required deposit has not been returned yet. I do not I understand why that was not done immediately.Overall because of the condition of the original cat I cannot give more that a 2 on a 1-5 scale.

I loved my experience renting a car from Sixt. The only thing that bugged me was the time at the rental counter. I had already made the reservation online and already answered questions regarding insurance, upgrades, toll pass etc. I expected a quicker check-in but was instead presented with all the options again. There was no pressure, but we were tired after a long flight and didnt feel like discussing it.
Staff was great and courteous when we had a rental exchange. The rental value of the vehicles is excellent and not overpriced like other rental companies!

In this company, Mercedes is only in the quality of advertising, in fact, you will not get such a car. They tried to give me a lower class car, proving that this is the best car, although I ordered a premium sedan. A good car rental company with disgusting illiterate staff who dont even know their own booking classes.
Easy booking through Priceline, accommodating counter person, nice car. Downside is long wait at counter. Understaffed for morning crowd. Excellent return service. Receipt later by email. Agreement was also sent by email. Good value for money

I rented the car for 2 days from Fort Lauderdale, FL and returned it to JFK in New York. During my trip, the car notified me of the oil level being low (7% at 3 AM somewhere in Georgia). By the time I hit NC (driving up from Florida) the oil level was 0%. I called customer service and was instructed to stop at the Dulles, VA location (closest location). I got there at 8AM when they opened. When I got there the guy working at Sixt was incredibly rude. He told me I’m not supposed to folllow what’s on the dashboard of the vehicle even though it says 0% oil, and that the company keeps maintenance record info in their system. Im angered that customer service didn’t tell me this when I had called hours prior, unless he was lying and making a trash attempt for damage control. I’m completely appalled because rather than offering a new car, all he did was reset the fuel level to 100% and told me I’m all set to go. I had a meeting I missed in New York. I completely detoured and wasted my time to come to VA just for him to click the reset button which I could’ve done myself!!!!! Additionally- RESETTING THE FUEL BUTTON DOESNT CHANGE THE OIL!!! That car desperately needed an oil change and I was refused another vehicle!! He told me there was no other cars on their lot that was similar to the Cadillac xt60 that I had rented. It’s incredibly unsafe to take a car in need of an oil change on a road trip.The negligence and recklessness of the company for renting out a vehicle with low oil for an almost 20 hour road trip is beyond me. The lack of customer service that followed this situation was AWFUL. The Fort Lauderdale sixt location reached out to me and offered “50 dollars off” which was no where near enough for the inconvenience and anxiety caused from having to drive a car that was in need of maintenance up the entire east coast. The entire experience was TRASH and I will never rent from Sixt again nor will I ever recommend sixt to friends or family.DONT RENT FROM SIXT BECAUSE THEY WILL GIVE YOU A CAR THAT IS UNMAINTAINED AND NOT GIVE A F*%# ABOUT YOUR SAFETY.
