He impressed me when I first met him to explain the issue I was facing. we discussed openly what it will take to accomplish the given task. He provided me a quote and date of accomplishment. Upon the arrival of his crew he organized them and stated their responsibility. All crew members understood what was to be accomplished and they worked in a well orchestrated manner. We have some very large trees that suffered serious damage from the mid March storm that dumped 16 of heavy snow in Fort Collins. We were so happy we found A&P. They were able to repair our storm damaged trees as well as possible in a fast, friendly manner. A local, true family business, great company to hire. AP has been the best company to work with! They did some work for us in the fall installing a french drain, they were very communicative about what we needed and what the best decisions were. They were so fast and hard working it blew us away. Throughout the winter, we watched their work in action and all out water is clearly draining away from the house. Not only did we find them fast and affordable, but they really did a good quality job, and made it look good as new when they left.Because of this, we hired them for a complete landscaping overhaul. We had planned on it getting done in the spring, but Anthony, Paul and the whole crew had everyone out there working for 5 days straight during freezing temperatures and we are now 3 months ahead of schedule on our backyard project. I showed them what i wanted, and they made it happen with a good price, SO fast, and just overall a joy to have around.We recently had someone quote us for the same project for double the price, and it would take three times as long. I highly recommend this company and crew. AP was amazing in their quality of work. We had them come remove a 35’ tree in our backyard. They literally had 18’ feet to work with because of the house and fence. Their work was like watching a surgeon bringing the tree down. They communicated every step of the way and cleaned up so well we could hardly tell they were even there. Every member of their crew came and introduced themselves. They were a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them!

I was so grateful to Paul and his team! After hour record snow storm I reached out to find someone to plow our parking lots and sidewalks for the memory care assisted living that I oversee. They came out quickly and spent a good amount of time clearing the way for staff to be able to come in and out safely. They also came and helped pull out my truck that I managed to slide into a ravine during the storm while trying to pick up staff who couldnt get out of their homes. Theyre excellent and I highly recommend their services!

Needless to say after some shadiness on the part I called Anthony on Thursday to see if they would still take on the project by Friday. Anything was great and had everyone here on Friday. Concrete poured and done by today (Saturday). Great job and I appreciate their hard work at making it right and quickly.I called Monday at10am. A gentleman named Paul answered. I told him what kind of project I was looking for. He started to me he would come by my house and look at it and we could discuss the project on Monday afternoon. No exact time just afternoon. I waited all day, finally I sent him a text at 730PM!!! Finally got a response almost an hour later. Paul apologized and stated he would call me on Tuesday morning. I finally called Paul at 10am after not hearing from him. He once again apologized and said he would be at the house by 4pm. Guess what here it is 640pm and still no communication from Paul. No apology for once again missing the appointment he personally set up. Needless to say 3 other companies actually showed when they said they would and I took my business elsewhere. I guess my time and my business was not good enough for this company. I wasnt even worth enough to them to actually communicate with me as to why you cant keep your obligations......

A.P. Excavation & Landscaping recently completed two needed (and one desired) projects on my property. Beginning with a small demo of a “lean-to” which had collapsed under weight of concrete snow. It needed to be removed quickly as the horses were still trying to use the structure. They arrived next morning to demo and remove, thereby eliminating the danger from the dry lot area. A small tree was also removed and roots ground.The desired patio was certainly an unconventional request as it required flexibility to maneuver the odd shape around two existing structures and retaining wall. They prepared a large area (approx. 400 sq/ft) for a patio and two pathways for which Paul lent his vast expertise to resolve undeniable issues involving a massive tree root. They brought in a top-notch concrete team to perform the “form, lay and finish” work. Their skillful artistry brought this project to a successful completion. I was so very pleased with the concrete company’s amazing clean-up process as there was a 6’ diameter “wading pool” with a bench and steps which “Tirso” thoroughly cleaned and handled items with care.This is a familial company of honorable, hardworking men with precise attention to detail which improved my expectations of the end product. Anthony and his brother showed up a day after I requested a quote on trimming my large ash tree. They quoted me a fair price and completed the work the next day. They did a great job and are very friendly. They’ll be the first I go to on future projects.

My project with AP may have been a fluke but their performance and reasonability has been a very upsetting experience. I need everything I could to communicate my idea of the project. I took laser measurements, ground rise measurements, and grade intervals. I mapped out distances and showed the direction of grade I wished to achieve on paper and on the physical land. None of my instruction was followed.During a “walk-through” after their definition of the work being completed, the owner argued to never be informed of my instruction. Though I provided the aforementioned drawings during the intentional contact and again on site to one of his sons. After explaining the difference between my wishes and the very minimal and wrong work performed, the owner wanted more money and said they had not quoted me for what I was asking. But as I said, every bit of instruction was handed to them twice.I hope this will help you as a client to understand the importance of getting everything in the scope of your project FROM THEN so A.P. doesn’t do half of the job or a job that needs correction, only to ask for more money when you point out their mistakes.Dont be pressured by them by how quickly they can begin the job. Don’t let them tell you, ”it’s your lucky day. We can start today.” Or “our scheduled client cancelled and we can help you today.” Don’t let A.P. make time a factor. Take the time they’re trying to sell you on to get them on the same page as you. Otherwise they will take things into their own hands and want to charge you more for what needs fixed or for what instructions were not followed.

From the estimate to the completion of cutting my trees down due to snow damage, this company is far and away the best Ive ever had working for me. The work was done ahead of schedule and the guys were so nice while doing fearless tree climbing and cutting. My yard is cleaner now than it was before they came. I cannot stress enough that they went above and beyond what I expected!

Updating review after trying to work with them again. I was in contact with them for about 6 weeks trying to make another project happen. They were very unresponsive and then completely stopped responding for no reason. I never received a formal quote and they kept canceling or rescheduling our appointments. The owner, Paul, and all his sons were awesome from the start. Anthony was my main contact and I felt like I could trust him from the start. He was super quick to send a quote, respond, schedule the job, and finish it all. Then the day of, the whole team (Paul, and his sons Ashan, Angel, Andre, and Anthony) were all there with their own equipment doing all the hard work! They cared for my property and were very careful to make sure there were no damages at all and extremely respectful after they left. Seriously...there is no need to even get other bids! These guys will take care of you and go above and beyond to make sure you have what you need and want then way that you request it.

The owner called us back the same day, and they were able to complete our project the next day! They had to remove 18 trees (roots and all) and excavated the property. They included the fill dirt to level the area (we’re installing a large pole barn). They had all the right equipment they needed to perform the job smoothly and professionally. They left the area neat and clean. All the workers were very respectful, professional and very nice.

Our front stoop was crumbling and the guys came out snd fixed it and did such a fabulous job. We got so many compliments on it! There was some concrete splatter that we didn’t notice after the job was finished, and I called the team and they came out two days later and fixed it back to perfect! Great price and great work!

We lost a tree during yesterdays snow storm. My husband called them in the morning and by 10:00 they were at my house with an estimate and a couple of hours later they had cut down the tree. Very professional. I will definitely use them again should the need arise.

We contacted A.P. for Tree Removal and Trimming Service. They responded the same day, provided an estimate on site, and scheduled the work to start within two days. They arrived on their scheduled, time, communicated with us regarding the work to be done, their crew was very organized, worked well together, kept the work area picked up, protected at other property, Communicated with us to ensure the trimming was as we wanted, and Cleaned up the area when completed. The owners walked us around the property when they were finished to make sure we were satisfied with their work. All of their workers were very friendly and were available to answer questions. When I took water to the workers, all thanked us, and one of the younger workers also thanked me for selecting them to do the work for us. We will use them again for future projects.

I hired A.P. Excavation to demo my deck, concrete slab, and very large sloped back yard. It was full of rotted timbers, trees, and rock. From my very first interaction with Paul, he, his sons and the crew, were true professionals. They arrive on time and they are extremely attentive to detail and my requests. They are fast, efficient, and they show up even on cold snowy days. They always shut off their machinery to say hello to me when I step out my front door. They are happy and communicative about their progress. They went way beyond expectations. This morning they were blowing the snow off my sidewalk and stoop to the front door even though they were working in the backyard. Every evening they make sure they clean everything up. Paul and his team showed up and went above and beyond. They worked hard in the cold. I enjoyed watching one of the operators using the skid steer, he was like a surgeon with that machine. All of his workers were very skilled. Paul and his team were professional, respectful and did a good job. In the past we have had people start a job and not finish. We can count on Paul for future projects.

The good, the bad and the ugly. The good- these guys are fast, nice and a family owned and operated business. They do large excavation work great and they have the equipment to do it right. They created a large drainage path for water to keep it away from the house which was below grade.The bad- I didnt go over in detail everything I was expecting. I assumed having clean edges and no weed cloth showing was standard, but obviously not. Every transition area was sloppy and I have had to go back and dig up dirt so the weed cloth will lay down properly, add dirt and rock where they didnt fill in enough and pull back weed cloth and rock to remove protruding items.They accidentally damaged the new siding on the house and we told them they didnt have to replace it, just repair it. They said no worries that one of their guys would take care of it. The guy never came and one of the landscaping crew covered it with a corner guard and caulk. Sadly they did a TERRIBLE job and we will have to redo it. I did not go out and inspect it, because I was sick that day and I thought how bad can it be. Once again, a lesson learned on my part. They also damaged my neighbors sprinkler and didnt repair it after they said they would. They covered it with sod.In the area between my neighbors driveway and ours, they did trenching for water flow and replaced all of the rock. They didnt level the area out at all and then trenched around the edges and covered it with cloth and new rock. So my neighbors half is really high and mine is really low instead of evening it out. I only discovered the trenching around the edges after the fact while having to pull back the rocks and weed cloth to remove dirt so the weed cloth would lay right.Finally, we paid them for an add-on job to remove a pea gravel walk and make it match the rock they had already brought in. However, they brought in rock that was a different size than the original and didnt bother to mention it.The ugly- I texted them multiple times and asked them to come back out and discuss the areas of concern. I was ignored for multiple texts and then I was stood up twice with no follow-up. In summary- if you hire these guys you better watch them closely and have inspections at each step of the job. I have never had a large job done like this and I will take full responsibility for not watching them more closely, but I really didnt think I needed to- I trusted them to do it right. They didnt and they wouldnt come back. Very disappointing because they are all very nice and we paid them well.

I have been an investor in the real estate indsutry for 8 years now. My reasons for beginning my review with that statement is that I have done business with many different companies throughout the years and found that working with Paul from AP Demolition was both refreshing and tasteful. From the beginning he answered my call and answered my questions very honestly and educated in his line of work. I had other estimates done and his estimate on the job was dead on and never swayed from the original estimate. His crew was punctual and polite and as the work was done his crew cleaned up after themselves at every turn. In summary I would definitely recommend AP Demolition as a solid company that under promises and over delivers. These facts proved to me that there are still companies in this day and age in Colorado that still hold to the values that were instilled in me as a child and that meant a lot to me and my family. Honesty and hones for that work that you are presented with. They are a family business and do not out-source their work taking full responsibility.
