I had ZGL and Zach the designer, out to redo our landscaping last summer. In the midst of a pandemic not only were they working safely but they stayed late when needed, communicated to me and my wife when things were delayed and the final product is AMAZING! I couldnt recommend them more. They are #1 in our eyes! Thank you!

Worst company I have ever contracted with. Routinely did not follow through with contract terms and overcharged their services. Their management team is even worse, I was assured multiple times that someone would address concerns that were brought up, but never heard back. They never even turned on the sprinklers in the spring. Finally canceled the contract. These guys are unprofessional and dont even stand by their work, do yourself a favor and go with another vendor.

Zak George Landscaping is the real deal we had called 12 different sprinkler companies over the weekend and we’re in a pinch. Jeremy answered the phone and said he would be right over not even 30 minutes later he arrived and had the part we needed to fix our problem. Before I begin my review, I would like to lend a little credibility to myself. I have a degree in Soil Sciences from CSU and have worked for multiple companies related to land use and plant management. I live in the Saddleridge area and have for 6 years now. The entire time I have been a homeowner, in the Saddleridge area, ZGL has, in my opinion, mismanaged the property.The first complaint is that they heavily overwater. When I first moved in, I had to replace the beam holding up a bedroom because the sprinklers hit it and rotted the wood. The beam is now starting to show rotting again after 5 years and I imagine it will have to be replaced again in the future. The grass is usually swampy into the late afternoon which has led to a multitude of bug problems over the years such as ticks and mosquitos. Even in the 100 degree heat that we have been having recently, there are plenty of fungus thriving in the yard outside my house.The second complaint I have is their killing of the tree in front of my townhouse. They always smack their equipment into the tree which killed it about three years ago. Since then, I have had a dead tree in front of the house which has never been removed and has had its bark slowly chipped away.My third and probably biggest complaint is their pesticide management. While I, personally, tend to limit the use of pesticide, I realize that pesticides are needed in a multitude of agricultural and urban environments. The main issue I have here is that they spray often and they do not flag all of the area that they have sprayed. The entire property is fairly large and they have a tendency to only flag one yard, even though they have sprayed more than that area. Sometimes flags will not have chemicals or the Restricted Entry Intervals notated on the flag itself. A lot of these practices go against what I learned in multiple classes and during EPA trainings that I had to go through for my degree and to work in fields. I am usually not one to say “Pesticides bad”, but it definitely exacerbated the seizures that my late lab had. One of the worst seizure clusters she had, which eventually led to her death, was after they had sprayed a large portion of the property without designating all the area they had sprayed, including the grass outside my house.The workers are friendly though.

The designer was knowledgeable and had some good ideas. In the end, we needed basic work on our landscape. I would consider Zak George as a high end landscaper. I do believe they would have done an excellent job just wasnt a fit for us and our budget.

Place is a joke, Come plow our driveway and streets ! What our HOA pays you for. Two days after our recent blizzard and still not plowed. Do your jobs!

Our back yard looks the best ever. Tiffany aided us immediately with a broken sprinkler head as she drove by in a truck. Mike and Bryson were wonderful in helping us plan changing mulch to rock. Crews are very friendly and polite.

They are the ones to call if you want a first class landscape! They have comprehensive services and an eye for detail.

Tried to get these guys to come out and fix my sprinkler line. Filled out their survey and then received an email back telling me they can’t help me. I assume because the project wasnt big enough for them financially. Good to know. I was planning on doing a larger renovation of my yard in the spring, guess who won’t be getting a phone call.Quick tip. Even the smaller jobs go a long way and give a company credibility for the larger jobs. I would think about changing your policy.

Weve had a great experience with Zak George. Our main contact person, Leisha, was knowledgeable about all things, and she was here supervising every step of the way. The crew was a great group of guys--clean, hard working and kind. We are very pleased with our patio, fire pit, garden box and landscaping. Wed definitely use/recommend Zak George again.

Awesome customer service. They came out on short notice and fixed our issue. Bryce came out and was so professional. He went above and beyond. Would definitely use them again and would recommend to anyone.

ZGL did a fabulous job on our backyard landscaping project. They tore out our old weed-filled yard, laid new sod, and irrigated the whole back yard with pop-ups and drip line. The crew was very friendly, and even transplanted a plant they had to dig up out of the yard. The process was smooth, and they worked with us to make sure the project fit our budget and our vision. We will definitely work with them again!

Zak redo our front lawn that was looking ancient. Now after the work, it looks like we actually live here. Great transformation.

If you call, they will have you fill out an online survey. You will wait a few days and they will email you back telling you they won’t help you. Waste of time

Did a great job replacing damaged fencing and replace all of the rock around my yard. They did what they said the would. It was so refreshing to deal with and upfront fair company that does a great job.

SO happy with Zak Georges design of our new urbanism sideyard! ZGL did an excellent job for us. Zak was timely in returning calls and keeping appointments. His crew was polite and performed very thorough work. They corrected a drainage problem for us and installed a gorgeous walkway using pavers. At the end of the project they cleaned up not only our property but also powerwashed the street keeping our neighbors happy, too. At the end of the project Zak initiated an appointment for a final walk-through and promptly corrected the few things we asked to have done. Weve already referred another neighbor and will gladly refer others.

They do a great job maintaining the landscaping around the store, as well as keeping me up to date on issues to keep my eye on for the future. I never have to worrie about the lanscaping or any other issues. I know they are going to do a great job everytime they come out. I know they even do little jobs that are not even in our contract. They are a company to work with.

Saw one of their crews working in my neighborhood and on the back of their compressor it says sprinkler blowouts and has the phone number. Gave them a call and they told me they dont do residential service.Why would you advertise for sprinkler blowouts if you dont actually do them?
