DO NOT SUPPORT THIS COMPANY, They are the all time worst. We had such a terrible experience. Our flight was delayed. When we arrived they said they were open they were closed. We had to wait 6 hours. When we arrived they told us our rental was 2 times more expensive. They would not honor our reservation price. Online it says that that if you arrive 15 hours after your reservation, then the price can chance but it was only 6. They then said that it was 15 hours or if the location closes, it never said that in the reservation. This company used to be decent. Not sure if they were bought out but the company is literally trash. Our family had to drive 4 hours to come get us. Worst company ever. Don’t support them. We hope they go out of business. Remember folks, you get what you pay for. Cheap prices in this case means cheap service. Worst customer service ever.
This is for the Budget/Avis inside Wal-mart. The woman at the desk is rude and clearly hates her job and everyone that comes in. She’s incredibly unhelpful. I will NEVER rent from here again. I would suggest going ANYWHERE but here. Be aware of specific times and rules and Grace periods and extra charges that you WILL incur here.
Worst customer service lady I ever met. Booked online and paid in advance for a vacation. Arrived to no cars available. No emails or phone calls to inform me. The lady was extremely rude and said I would have to call customer service on the phone to cancel. Lost $40 in Uber ride to get nothing. Ruined the whole vacation.
If I could give 0 stars I would!! Jennifer has absolutely no customer service skills and is exceedingly rude! I will never recommend this place! I’m really surprised they are still in business !

DO NOT USE THIS RENTAL PLACEThey do not do there jobs, I dropped my vehicle off 12 hours before due time, then dropped the keys off in their so wonderfully advertised drop box, there was no one around for 15 minutes to give keys to. Then they have the nerve to charge me for a whole day because they didn’t get around to it til 3:30pm the next day! And then I call and got treated like it was my fault. The car was filthy inside like it wasn’t even vacuumed and the guy tells me that I’m getting it clean that it needs to come back clean lmao! It’s sad but the people that work here show the same effort in every aspect of their lives.

My husband and I were moving from Colorado to Illinois and we used to only use U-Haul. Budget was offering unlimited miles so we figured since we were going over 800 miles we would use them. I called the store to find out all the details so there would be no hiccups. I was told I could pay cash but there would be a deposit. No problem. I even called my bank (prepaid debit card) to see what the daily amount was that I could put on the card, just in case. They said it was $1000. When we went to get the truck, they guy says Its not giving me the option to pay cash.. So even though it was frustrating, I went and put the $884 on the card. Then he says it still wont run. So now Im wondering if they are trying to charge a deposit because we are leaving on Mondaymorning and here it is Saturdayand of course they are closed on Sunday. I go to put money in my card and luckily the lady from the bank was wrong and I could actually put $1000 per transaction. And of course they were charging $150 deposit. We finally are going over paperwork and the guy is running down the contract with my husband and he got to the part about the extra days. The man points to the extra truck rental days and he says If you need the truck another day it will be another $35. My husband looked at me cause the paperwork said $95. He asked the man Just $35 for another day for the truck? and the man said yes. We finished the paperwork and he told us where our truck was. He did not walk us out to it or anything. When we got in the truck it was clear it had not been cleaned. And whats funny is they have a sign about charging you $250 if there is excessive bugs on the outside, pet hair, cigarette ashes, strong smoke odor or dirt. I have pictures of the food in the truck and the ashes all over. I took pictures because I was not paying $250 because of someone else. When we went to return the truck, we decided to keep it an extra day. We didnt need the car carrier that we had also rented and corporate advised us to go ahead and drop it off but keep the truck. The guys at the return location AT NO TIME told us that they couldnt just charge us for the truck an extra day. So when we went to return the truck, they are charging me an extra $133 for the truck and trailer. The guy didnt care what the other guy told us and tried to run my card even after I said that it wouldnt go through. His response was Oh we have ways to get the money off there. What the hell?! So completely infuriated, my husband calls corporate and they basically tell him Oh well. I will NEVER use Budget again. If I even overhear someone saying they are moving I will do everything in my power to steer them to U-Haul. I never had an issue with them. And if you rent through Budget, I would get a signature by prices and make them walk you to your truck.

Went to the budget rental location located inside Walmart for a moving truck. Had a reservation. When we showed up the front counter guy said he didn’t have any trucks, and turned us away. He didn’t offer to call customer service, he didn’t give us a solution, he just said there was no truck available and sent us on our way. The lack of customer support was surprising, the fact that we were able to book a truck when there wasn’t one available was disappointing. Overall, terrible experience. Pick a different location.
Dont bother trying to reserve anything from this group. Got my reservation confirmation today at 12:03 AM followed at 12:33 by a cancelation. Not only once but twice. Great news two days before I was supposed to pick up a truck.I would take your business elsewhere even if it cost a buck or two more. No luck of trust with this place. Budget corporate was no help either. Guess the terms reservation and confirmation doesnt mean anything to them. Too bad you have to click 1 star in order to post a rating. Deserves zero or less.
Never rent from this place. It is horribly managed and a disgrace to the Budget Rental name. I made a reservation for Saturday from 9:30am-4:30pm. Got there at 9:30 and there was a massive line out the door. The woman who checked me in was rude and literally just asked me to sign sign sign initial initial, handed me keys and said bye. I didnt even know where to find my truck! She got huffy with me and told me it was in the back lot and to just match the number on the key to the truck with the same number. She then told me that the truck had furniture pads in it and that i didnt rent those, so i would need to bring them in. I went and found my truck, had to drive it out of the tiny, fenced in lot (talk about nerve-wracking). Then had to unload SIX trips worth of furniture padding to bring to her in the office.Then I returned the truck right after noon and she was leaving the property and told me you need to park that in the back lot behind the gates. Why she didnt tell me that when I took the truck is beyond me?!?! So I tried to manuever it back into their tiny lot, which is ridiculous, that is their job, not the paying customers job.THEN! she left the property without helping me. I found out they closed at noon, which she NEVER told me at the time of reservation. Now I have been overcharged for the rental. So I called and got the same woman! She told me I was overcharged because I returned the truck after hours. I asked her why on earth didnt she tell me that when I checked the truck out? And why wasnt it in my reservation price when I set the reservation for 4:30pm??? She told me it isnt her job to read my contract, that is my job and she isnt responsible for what I sign.I am normally willing to roll with things, and you can check my reviews for most businesses, I am not a picky person. But this pushed me past my patience. This place is a scam and I will be sharing with all my business connections in Fort Collins to NEVER use this place for anything. I also plan to try to get the local media to cover this, as from reviews it is easy to see that Im not alone in the level of service I received.

Read below for the full story if you are so inclined to settle in for a horrible customer service novel...Once Upon a Time in the Budget office in Fort Collins...Customer Service Representative Joshua - Absolutely bar none THE WORST customer service. We have rented a vehicle from them 4 times over the past year and a half and EVERY time was a terrible experience. Budget car rental, how have you failed us? Let us count the ways... (we wont because it would take too long).Today was the last straw, we had made a reservation as usual with the time of pick up and the vehicle requested. Arrived (even a little later than planned) to be informed (with haughty attitude) that a vehicle was not ready and wouldnt be for another 4 hours! We had an 8 hour drive ahead of us, leaving 5 hours later would mean driving all night.Knowing that we needed to still make the drive, we agreed to take a different vehicle, inquiring if it would still be the same rate which we were assured it was. When we were asked to sign the receipt - lo and behold it was $100 more than agreed upon. Very sneaky, underhanded and RUDE the entire time. More concerned with going out to look at the brand new truck that just came in than helping us. We have been regular and consistent customers for some time, despite the less than stellar service. At this point, we will not be returning to Budget, instead will rent from another company. We would rather be paying more if it means we get a smidge better service and respect.When asked if we would be extended a discount because of the mess up which was, at the root, the fault of the service representative. He stood there, looked at his screen with a screwed up face and after a pause said No, I dont give discounts. If you dont give discounts, you dont have to pause that long to think it over.I have worked in customer service positions for my entire working career. My husband currently owns a business that depends upon good customer service for survival. This attitude by Joshua is unacceptable. All he would have needed to do is rent us the more expensive vehicle at the same price as the one we reserved and wed have walked away happy. Alternatively, he could have gotten the reserved vehicle to the office in a reasonable amount of time and extended a token discount for the mix-up. (He had made a small effort by calling a different office, about 8 miles away and confirmed they had one that could be moved to his location.) Instead, Joshua decided to assume an attitude of superiority and, as a result, lost a repeat customer. No apology was ever extended during the entire interaction.We have called the corporate office and lodged a complaint, which we were told will be referred to the District Manager. (Well post an update when and if we hear anything from that.)The End.

First of: The customer service representatives arent professional over the phone. They will tell you different things every time you call, then when youre at the pickup center, theyll tell you another thing again. For the very first time Ive had the worst experience, and left their location frustrated without being able to make it to work. Just wow!Then the next day: Enterprise Rent A Car called me and picked me up right afterwards. I get the car rental without hassles.Dont go to Budget Rental, ever!! 😡

Ive had great experiences with Budget, up until I dropped off the truck and car trailer at this location. The 1.4 rating should have been a hint, but this was the location that was selected for me to drop off. I attempted to drop off my car trailer so I could unload my personal belongings into storage. I was told both the truck and trailer had to be dropped off at the same time for inventory, so I had to drive around town pulling the car trailer, unhooking to unload my personal belongings and then hook it back up just to deliver them both for inventory. When bringing the truck/trailer back I was told to go back out and check the odometer/tag # (the employee didnt even come out to look at either). Also, I was told to park on the street (there is no parking/no parking designation) so it was unclear where to park. Apparently I parked in a no parking area, so I had to drive it more than a quarter mile down the road where I had to guess if it was an acceptable parking area. Customer service at this location was non existent. Read the reviews and try to avoid this location.
This is the most horribly managed business. Budget should be ashamed to have them represent them. They are impossible to get a hold of and went rerouted to the Budget 800 they cannot help you because it was reserved through a private Budget place. Budget you need to shut this place down especially considering every single review on here is the same terrible! In response to the reviews phone numbers are put in to help you and I called all of them and they cannot help me. Run!!!
Dishonest company and terrible service! After reserving a truck and informing them that it would be an after-hours drop off, then picking up the truck and confirming an after-hours drop off, there was no mention of a $10 charge for dropping off after hours. Thats half another day rental for no reason! An initial $23 for a day rental + mileage (only 22 miles), ended up costing $72. There are tons of hidden charges that they arent upfront about and really dont care to talk to you about afterwards. In calling customer service, they said We didnt know you were going to drop the truck off after hours, and when I responded Yes you did, its right there on the quote, they backed up and said that its just a quote for the charges for the truck... even though they quote the taxes, fees, mileage, and everything else. They told me that the person I received the truck from doesnt have to tell me anything, because its all there in the contract, hidden in the middle, as they have you sign 10 different pieces of paper and initial in 30 different spots. Budget nickel and dimes you and is dishonest about their charges. Im surprised there isnt any sort of lawsuit already, as it seems Im not alone. Ill never go back here to rent, and i wouldnt recommend them to anyone! Ive used UHaul many times before and never encountered these issues.
Awful place! Reserved a truck for a move. Showed up and even tho they had one sitting in there yard they said my truck was not available and my reservation didnt matter. Spent half my moving day tracking down another truck! And I wasnt the only one not receiving there reservation! Another guy was having the same issue! I will never rent from these people again! Whats the point of having a reservation if you wont even honor it? On top of that the lady was rude and disrespectful. Rent from another place trust me.
I had reserved a truck with this location and a week and a half before I was to pick up a truck they cancelled my reservation. Without notifying me. No phone call, no written notice, and no email. They day before my huge move from CO to IL I found out on my own that they had cancelled the reservation and had no trucks to fulfill my reservation. Then when dealing with Budget Rental Trucks customer service, I was told that they could not help me and that there was not a single truck available in Colorado because they had rented every one out to UPS during the holidays. My reservation was cancelled because they knew that UPS would pay more than I did and a customer service rep reaffirmed that. After being hung up on because I persistently wanted a reasonable solution, I filled multiple complaints against Budget and its Service reps. Do not use this truck rental. Pick a company that will actually treat you right.
Not sure if all these negative reviews on here are actually for this location. Ive rented a car 3Xs from this location, customer service and cars have always been great.
First of all, I’m upset that I have to give this joke of a business one star. The male employee that “helped” us acted like we ruined his day watching YouTube in the back on his phone. We had made a reservation online for a 12’ truck with no damage waiver for $69. I received a confirmation of our reservation of these details yet the man told us there wasn’t a 12’ and we had to upgrade to a 16’. I told him if the price was comparable we would do it. He took our ID’s and credit card and said nothing about charging us as I was expecting a price still. He then hands us a printed paper and charged us $107!!!! At that point we decide to just bite the bullet and pick our battles accordingly. Once we get to the truck we notice he slipped in $35 for damage waiver that we opted out of!!!! Slimy and unacceptable way of doing business. We called customer service with a promise of being refunded once the truck was returned and said ok. We start looking at the truck and it was damaged, EXTREMELY dirty, had chips on the windshield, chewed and spit out sunflower seeds all over the floor, and chewing tobacco in it. After returning the truck and calling customer service for our refund they happily stated they will only refund $20!!!! What a joke! This is a shady company with zero transparency, sleazy sale tactics, and rundown trucks you’d expect to see transporting meth over the Mexican border. We will NEVER rent from Budget or any of their affiliates and not will our friends or family. I advise any and everyone to think twice before renting through this “company”. What a sad, pathetic, business existence.
We had scheduled to use one of their rental trucks on a Saturday. The Friday before, they called and told us they didnt have any trucks available for that day. Also, when I called, the woman I spoke to was very rude and short with me. I would not recommend this Budget location.
I will make sure this goes on social media and gets reviewed by the public so nobody else will have to deal with such low class customer service. Worst company I have ever dealt with. Moving is stressful enough ontop of having to take time to get a situation resolved even days later. Do not use this company at any means. I am so livid Im even infroming ny attorney so he can contact them to let them know what laws they have broken. They dont care about what is correct they only care about taking you for your money in thhe unlawful way. Save yourself and do not go there. Company is a joke, and the trucks were run down like it was used to transport meth across the states. They should not be in business.

Go somewhere else! This place is extremely unhelpful when you call for assistance. Management needs to train their staff on customer service. Not to mention, if you want to inspect your truck before signing off that there is no damage they will tell you to walk out there yourself which is quite a hefty walk at this location. Take your business elsewhere!
Not given the proper cost. Not told about insurance cost. Not told about a cancellation fee. Do not reserve with them. When I called in they told me it was going to to be $29.99 per day plus mileage then when i came to pick up it was going to be $84.99 per day plus mileage.The truck was reserved for the 29th. My card was ran for $50 on the 1st showing NS. We were not a no show. I was never told there would be a cancellation fee. Currenly transferred to a supervisors line ringing until i give up and hang up. Bait and switch.I went to Uhaul that day and got a comparable truck for $35 per day plus mileage including insurance. They were honest about the costs. Still ringing on the supervisors line.Hector picked up, refused to refund my money saying that it was online and I repeated several times that I made the reservation with Ellen over the phone and cancelled in person. Criminal. I will be contacting my attorney and fight this. I have witnesses. Oh and Hector wouldnt give me the number for their legal department. And he hung up on me. (I was never abusive nor emotional at all. Only firm that it was in his companies best interest to refund my $50.)
They canceled our reservation last minute and completely screwed up our move. Look elsewhere
The woman who works at the truck pickup location is extremely rude and has no interest in helping customers. I have been in to the office twice, once a few weeks ago, and again on Saturday, and both times she made it clear that she did not want to help us. We went with a different moving company due to our horrible experience, and it was worth it to pay $200 more. If somebody has no capacity for customer service, then you should not work in customer service.
Reserved my moving truck a month before I needed it and they called the day before I was supposed to pick it up to tell me they didnt have any trucks available.
Reserved a truck weeks ahead and they canceled my reservation with less than 4 days notice before the busiest moving weekend of the year because they overbooked....
