Had a complete 5-star experience with Avis. Madison helped me during a very stressful time and was an absolute pro. Remaining calm while I was a bit hectic and distracted during the rental procedures, she handled every aspect of the process expertly. She showed me how to utilize all of the operating details of the new vehicle I was renting so that I could safely drive it, and even was able to find a larger car in the class I was hoping for when online it showed they were sold out of that vehicle class/type. Thanks to Madison, my move/rental was safe, efficient and about as low-stress as possible, given the circumstances. Id recommend her for a managerial position in a heartbeat! She was the embodiment of grace under pressure. A+!

I rented a car with Avis in July. I picked it up with a cracked windshield. Avis has now twice fraudulently charged my card with over a thousand dollars worth of charges without my consent. This is how Avis treats military families. Do not go to this store. They steal from you.Edit: just saw a review further down, apparently they run this scam frequently. I bet it was the same rental that they gave me that they scammed another reviewer with.

This place is a scam, I paid $240 for a rental car (Toyota Corolla) that smelled like smoke. The day after I returned my car I noticed I had two separate fees on my credit card. One charge for $422 and another for $392, I called and they told me they had no record of those charges being on my card. I contacted customer service which is EXTREMELY unhelpful. I still have no clue what these extra charges are from, what a complete SCAM.A month later I am still dealing with this company. After 3 weeks of going back and forth between the customer support they finally located my rental agreement. They charged me $156 for returning my car late, although the store manager and my rental agreement said I have until 11:00 am to return the car the car was returned by 10:59 they have changed their story and said I should’ve returned it by 10:00. They still are refusing to refund my money despite my rental agreement saying I had until 11:00 and on the receipt I was given by the store it stated that it was a $15 charge each hour the car was returned late.

Extremely unprofessional staff. Went out to check mileage, they never do that. It was 645 am. I was smoking in my truck and she said the rental smelled like smoke. Because she seen me smoking, she assumed I did in rental. They did illegal double transactions. I was refunded into a closed account because they didnt read the redund requirments . They caused my account to be closed, due to fraud.My bank released my 328.00 redund today. Never again.The purpose of the trip was to rehome a kitten. They new they were trying to cheat. Stay away.

I was surprised to get charged for gas refill at check in. I topped the tank off 5 miles short of the airport, and the attendant told me my gas level was full. I was late picking up my rental and the office was closed. I take full responsibility for being late, but why is there a pick up time allowed at the same time the office closes? They also cant be bothered to place a courtesy call? If I didnt need the car I would have canceled my reservation. Bad customer service

This company will scam you! Do not rent from them. They charged us for damage to a windshield 2 months after the rental. We talked to the local Avis Car Rental place and they said they had no paperwork saying there was any damage to the car. The Avis corporate office told us the car had damage to the windshield but they have refused to show us photos of the damage and no itemized paperwork, just a credit card charge of $737.34 for work.

Rented a car today from this location. We were told they could not do same day rentals. We told we should have read the fine print when renting online about that. I guess we should schedule 24 hours in advance when our car will break down. We were made to feel like we did not matter. After a demeaning conversation, he found a car of which there were 10+ in the lot. Customer service was horrible, but we did get a car after our own requires 5 days in the shop. What has happened to customer service?

I had issues with redeeming my $100 rental certificate. And now after having to pay full price for the rental I am having even more issues trying to get the credit refunded to my credit card. Very frustrating... Although my concerns and issues with this situation were very quickly addressed and resolved by Avis customer service.

Good low contact pick up. You have to go inside, but there was only myself and the employee and a big screen between us. Was told on phone I only needed to bring in drivers license but then asked for cc too.

Avis made a mistake calculating the miles on my rental and the customer service agent gave me the runaround and would not promise me the mistake would be refunded. Its not a small mistake. Its a 7,000 mile mistake that currently is costing me $2,100.00. You claim I drove 8600 miles in 6 days. Thats impossible but Avis simply wants to steal my money and wont take accountability.

The car itself performed well. However, the accuracy of the cars GPS was terrible. Also, 1/10th of a mile notice for turns at highway speeds is not very safe.

The worst customer service Ive ever experienced in car rentals! The representative is clearly unhappy working for Avis. When we arrived to get the car, he shook his head, complaining about the company. He said let me see if I have anything, disappeared and reappeared with keys, started processing the paperwork without saying a word. I had to ask exactly what he was renting to us. He not only didnt greet us, would not provide us with his name or the name of a manager. Upon entering to return the vehicle, he said nothing, just held out his hand demanding card for payment. We were also double charged

The guy at the counter was not very helpful. My vehicle didnt even have any floor mats so I had to spend large amount of time cleaning it when I gave it back. Price was never adjusted even when I returned the car early.

If I could give negative stars I would. One of the worst interactions I have ever had with a car rental. I have to admit this rental reservation was last minute due to a situation beyond my control. We made the reservation through the national reservation service. They made the reservation and we arrived In time to pick up the car and the Assistant Manager helped us?. He interacted with us while constantly texting without greeting us or giving us eye contact. He shuffled between computers while continuing texting and treating us disrespectfully. He eventually stated he did not see our reservation and he did not have a car. He stated they should have contacted us and there was nothing he could do. We asked to speak to the manager and he said the manager was out and he was the assistant manager and that the manager would not do anything either. All without not giving us eye contact. He looked to be about twelve years old and was clearing washing cars in the attached garage. He was clearly the head carwash and the assistant manager. Dont waste your time with this agency location due to its extremely poor customer service.

Nice young man at counter. Received a car that had dirty and torn seats and carpets. Car smelled of deodorant over cigarettes. Complained and was offered a $30 credit on another car in the future. Company isn’t what it use to be.

Did not hold true to reservations/ added insurance as much per day as the rental car . example; $30.00. Per day car rental becomes $60.00 with insurance fee per day then All other fees & taxes added . they dont ALLOW YOU TO DENY THE INSURANCE. You cant move on to complete reservations.without paying for the insurance. Get there for pickup of car rental they dont ALLOW YOU to pay with CREDIT/DEBIT CARD. ALSO, DRS.LICENSE AND CREDIT CARD HAVE TO MATCH. SO someone else CANT PAY FOR IT( FOR A SMALL FEE EXTRA DRIVERS CAN BE ADDED, THAT UPS THE INSURANCE AND EVERY FEE & TAXES INCREASE. PLUS THEY DONT ACKNOWLEDGE COLD HARD CASH!!!!!!!!! WTF..... Has happened to AMERICA???? NEEDLESS TO SAY, DIDNT GET TO RENT THE CAR, HOWEVER THE INSURANCE WAS BILLED AND REMOVED OFF MY CARD BEFORE I EVEN GOT TO THE AVIS LOCATION, LOVELAND COLORADO. I INQUIRED Prior to reserving the car, and EVERYTHING WAS FULL STEAM AHEAD, SO I THOUGHT. NOW, I have to fight to get my money back from Priceline/ Avis car rental. I am an AVIS preferred status member.We rented a car from this location in February of 2019. Neil assisted me. From the second I walked in, he was very begrudging. As time passed, he was not only unhelpful but plain old rude. Turns out, he lied to me, too.The car I was provided was in the same class (as what I expected), but was not acceptable to me. I asked if there were any other SUVs available. Neil said, no. I later learned this was a lie, which is so disappointing to me.Two things should be noted when I went out to my assigned car:1) It was parked between 2 other SUVs. These 2 SUVs sat parked there the entire 3 days when I had my rental. I know because we happened to frequent the road that passed by AVIS & saw them sitting there day after day.2) My assigned car smelled of smoke...really badly. The backseat was absolutely filthy. I mean, stained all over and really gross.Honestly, our experience was so incredibly bad that we wont rent from AVIS again...and that is saying a lot since I have preferred status.

Overall, I am pretty pleased with my experience with Avis in South Fort Collins. We rented a Ford Edge, for family vacation trip to Oregon coast, since my own 2 cars are getting up there in age. I was pleased that the guy at the desk was helpful when I went in 2 weeks ahead of time, to look over his selection of cars. He unlocked a bunch for me to look at. I was surprised that although the Ford Edge looked almost identical to the ..... (I think it was the Ford Escape i was comparing to) on the outside, on the inside in the passenger area and cargo area in the edge was pretty noticeably wider, roomier, and bigger wheels, and (I think) bigger engine. Despite the larger engine the mileage was decent. 2.5 tanks got us from Ft. C. to Seaside Oregon. We had zero problems with the car on the trip, and the sinc thing to my wifes cell phone for music, and the touch screen navigation thing was really pretty helpful and easy. Also, the low power AC outlet in the back made it easier for the kids to plug in their devices. My wife said we HAVE to get a touch screen and navigation in our next car. Returning the car was a no-brainer, and I feel like the cost for 1.5 week, was very fair. I think I will rent from these guys again next time. Ive also rented from Hertz on south college and had good service, but their selection was not as good, so I think next time Ill go to Avis again. ***Note that its a little difficult to find the first time. The sign is VERY small, and the building looks like it must be a mortuary. I wonder if it once was. Bruce

Ive been trying to get a hold of anyone at the local store and it just rings and rings and eventually sends me to the national line. I dont need national customer service, I need a local rep on the line to discuss a local issue. Ive called 5 times now throughout the morning with the same results. I finally got a rep on the phone and he was helpful.

Sold a car by phone and drive up from Loveland to find they are sold out after asking phone rep multiple times to confirm cars were available. Rude and unfriendly service upon arrival. Will stick with Enterprise. Would give zero stars if I could.Attached is the confirmation I received before going to pickup the car.Honestly if the employee had shown the slightest bit of concern or even said Im sorry it would have helped a lot.
