First people to view it offered over asking price, said theyd pay cash, but Debbie was astute and experienced enough to know the contingencies were not in our best interest. Would not recommend renting with Townsend unless you plan on figuring everything out on your own. Have had an extremely hard time getting in contact with anyone at the office. They have put all blame on our homeowner and left us in the dark because of it. Thought we had some real help after getting in touch with the owners son and explaining our experience but were yet again met with no returned calls or emails. Did so mention that I drove by our rental the day before our move in date and there were squatters in our home? Because that also happened:)

I worked with Joe Hanley to sell my home. He is very professional, easy to work with, and sold my home quickly! As soon as we began the process, he had professional photos taken and listed my home on multiple sites. At that point, I knew I was in good hands. I sold my Hope Mills home while living in another state; I placed a lot of trust with him. He is prior military, very responsive, and knows the local area very well. I highly recommend Joe to sell your home, especially if you are out of town and need to work with someone who knows what he’s doing.

The overall experience with them was okay, but during my final month of living in Hunters Ridge a massive leak took place in my upstairs neighbor’s apartment which in turn flooded into my apartment. After a slow response time, a non responsive emergency line, and a very uncooperative property owner, they finally got someone out to “fix” the property(there were several issue still remaining when the repair team left). After my persistence they promised a rent abatement for the time the property went un-repaired... and to this day I have yet to see my reimbursement. While I possess the email evidence showing where the reimbursement was promised, I decided it wasn’t worth my time to sit in small claims court over the amount.The Townsend staff-members are amazing and incredibly polite, but the homeowners they represent aren’t the best. It seems that they let their homeowners go unchecked and unfortunately representing bad property owners only makes Townsend look bad as well.

Couldnt be more happy with the services provided by Lee McMillan and Townsend Real Estate. Living in Washington State I was worried the process would be complicated and cumbersome with my busy schedule. Overall experience has been positive - responsive property managers, annual inspection reports, electronic owner reports, and quick turnaround times on finding new tenants. They were disrespectful and I had a lot of emotions flowing but she reminded me of who I was and not to let my emotions dictate how I handled the situation. I cant say enough about her! Your agent Liz Hunt is so wonderful! She helped my husband and I find a small transitional home in late 2014/early 2015 while my husband lived here in Fayetteville and I still lived and worked in Wilmington. She accommodated a crazy schedule- something like 12 houses in two days and helped us secure a contract while I was in the hospital for major back surgery two hours away. When it was time to find a permanent home here in Fayetteville this year- we knew exactly who to call. She is SO knowledgeable of the area, SO accommodating of a crazy house hunt schedule, knows exactly what we will be open to and what we will pass on and holds all other parties accountable to make sure things go efficiently and expediently. It was a crazy market this time around, but we persevered and with Liz’s guidance and patience and expertise, we got a great deal and an amazing home. If you want someone aggressive that will push your budget and take over your search, tell you what you want and don’t want- don’t call Liz. I have two rental properties in Fayetteville that previously I was managing myself since I was local to the area. They both turned over at the same time, and now that I live out of state, me managing them was no longer feasible. I connected with Townsend and Brittany Ladwig was assigned as my property manager. I can’t say enough great things about her!
