I try to shop locally as much as possible and when it makes sense. I shopped around for a specific tire and Daves tire beat everyone including town fair tire. Ive gotten my cars oil changes there recently also. Staff is knowledgeable and seem to be honest people.

I had just moved to Fall River and was really hesitant on finding another mechanic, but the guys at Daves made it awesome. The rotor on the front drivers side was warped and needed to be replaced. I made an appointment and dropped my car off the next morning. The guys were super quick to call me and let me know what needed to be done, which was just to replace that rotor. They didnt try to sell me on anything else. With parts and labor, it came to $125 and they had everything done within an hour. The second time I took my car there, I needed both side mirrors replaced. Instead of having me pay for 2 new mirror assemblies, they checked LKQ (used parts distributor) and found me 2 matching mirrors (color and everything) for $300, saving me $300 because it would have cost me $600 for 2 new ones that werent painted. I heeded their advice and bought both used mirrors and when they arrived they scheduled me in right away. At the end of it, they only charge me $10 for labor just to put them on. Both times I took my vehicle in for service, the work was done really fast. If you cant make it until after closing like I had to one time, you can pay over the phone and they will leave your car with the keys hidden and the car locked in their parking lot with your receipt, as long as you have your spare in order to get in.I cant say enough good things about this shop and their staff. Very knowledgeable and honest and will always go the extra mile for you. Their prices are also very reasonable. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a reasonably priced mechanic, thats clean and has a very knowledgeable and honest staff.I will say, if you bring your car in and choose to wait, please understand that they are a busy shop and if youre given a wait time, its and ESTIMATED wait time. If there are other patrons ahead of you who has scheduled appointments, they will be seen first, also walk-ins are first come, first serve. So please, be patient, the guys there work hard and do good work.

The service and repair work has been in a steady decline over the years. They were good, charged reasonably, but Ive noticed a drastic shift in quality. They have a loyal client base which keeps them busy; this garage is good for sudden mechanical breakdowns, tire repair, or other basic diagnosis. If you are experiencing computer issues with the vehicle, or complex mechanical issues, and non emergency repairs should be done elsewhere if you can manage it.I would avoid this place now, unfortunately, they arent what they were or maintain the standards by which they built their reputation.Good luck.

I have had inspections on all our family vehicles here, also fixed a broken heater and today they have helped me as a walk in to replace a blown-out tire . They have always been professional and kind. They are priced for the working family and are not shady when it comes to explaining what work needs to be done and why, neither do they have hidden fees. They were on the phone with my husband also in the past helping him figure out different issues so that our cars are safe and drive well.I am more that pleased with the service here, totally recommend their shoppe and will be coming back to them in the future.

Let me start by saying my previous experience here was fine. I had an alignment performed on my 1990 Firebird Formula, and they did a great job!! Which is why I brought my wifes 2011 Volvo C30 there, figuring Id have the same result. Sadly, this was not the case...when I brought the vehicle in last week (3-23-18) I requested that the tires be balanced (car had a slight vibration), and a 4 wheel alignment be done (steering wheel was off center). I waited 1.5 hrs or so (reasonable for how busy they were), got the car back, only to find the wheel was STILL off-exactly as it was when I brought it!! When I went back in I was told they were too busy at that moment to re-check it...again, reasonable, so I set up an appointment for the following morning to get it corrected. Brought it in, they took it right away...40-45 minutes later, got the car back EXACTLY THE SAME. The writer (manager?) told me that it was something to to with the car. He suggested they adjust the steering wheel the same amount to the left as it had been off to the right, this being, he said, the only way to correct the problem(????). No thanks I said and left. While I work in a parts department now, I also spent years working in a shop, and am familiar with alignment racks. If the car isnt set up properly, than this is the kind of thing thats going to happen. I believe that the tech simply locked the steering wheel off-center, and made adjustments from there.... very sloppy....I ended up having the dealership I work for re-do the alignment...took less than an hour AND the wheel is centered. Its a shame when you try to support a local business, all you get are excuses when theres an issue.....There was nothing to do with the car, and EVERYTHING to do with attention to detail....

I will not return to this shop ever again!!!! They scammed me for $80. I went for an alignment and after it was done the steering wheel was tilted to the right even more not straight. The guy at the front desk dont know his name but had a big nose was very rude. i drove my truck home after the alignment was supposedly done and it was still pulling to the right if not worse than before so bad that i could probably let go of the wheel and make a right turn. i called after i noticed this and the same guy at the desk spoke to me. i mentioned the truck was still pulling to the right and he got very rude and hostile making a bull excuse that its ;pulling to the right because of my truck being slanted a little. you have a better chance of seeing god than getting your vehicle fixed here. i couldve done a better alignment using the old string method.

Great at tires, but thats the only thing I would ever trust them to do to another vehicle of mine.Breaks are not something to play with if you dont know what you are doing!Not giving you the opportunity to try and justify poor work like you have on previous reviews, just make sure vehicles are completely safe before returning them to clients!

Took me in right away for an inspection sticker. I did mot take long. Everyone was polite and professional.

Went in at 8am appointment to have my muffler/exhaust fixed and waited over 3.5 hours when the work is less then an hour (i had the same work done on the opposite side 2 months ago at another place)several people came and left and i was still waiting. when i asked for updates after 2.5 hours i was told they were not told i was waiting, but i asked how long was the wait after the first hour and half and was told they would be done soon. i was very annoyed but i kept my cool for the same reason your polite to servers at a restaurant. when they finished up and i went to pay the same man that checked me in was so rude and never apologized for the wait. then to top it all off instead of politely handing me my recite he tosses it down on the counter..smh..TERRIBLE customer service. im very disappointed. i will never go back.

Poor customer service! May not return. A little pricey aswell. I had been there in the past and spent $1,600!This time it was more of a customer service issue than anything.Also would like to add he had said it would be a $300 job ..turned out to be $450 ..with an attitude!

Awful place, over priced. went for brake work. they said it was fixed and as soon as i picked it up and drove off the lot the same issue happened. also had issues with my car dieing out. 3 times back and forth stil couldnt fix it. and still charged 166 for it. stay away from this place

After they changed my oil, my antifreeze light kept coming on. I took my car back to them and they added more oil. The light still remain on. They said it must be a computer problem. One tech came out and shook my antifreeze compartment a few times. The light went off. Weird!

Awful experience!!!! Day 1: replaced 2 flat tires... Staff seemed nice at the time, then I was told I needed a new sensor which is ok. I pulled around the block and my tire pressure light was still on. I went back and was told by one of the owners he would take care of it when I came back for my alignment. Day 2: went in for my alignment and reiterated about the tire pressure light, the owner whom told me prior that he would take care of it began to become argumentative stating he didnt have enough time. Again I told him about our earlier conversation where he told me they would take care of it when I came back. After my alignment the owner told me that I needed all new sensors, none were showing up on their computer. Continued to tell me thats its not worth fixing them and to just put a picture over the light on my dash! I drive a 2011 Nissan Murano, and no I dont want lights on in my car thank you! So today I brought my car to TOWN FAIR and I did not need sensors, and that Daves tire just were lazy, unmindful, and did not even reset the sensors. I will never go back to Daves tire again, NO customer service at all!

Missed that my caliper needed changing... coat me $750 for new break caliper and breakpad somewhere else

My 77 year old mom went to get an inspection sticker and these people fleeced her for a boat load of money and when she confronted them they yelled and belittled her. They “fixed” her car and still gave her an rejected inspection sticker. This guys a low life stereotypical crook mechanic BUYER BEWARE!!
