Public transit is free but this is a great option when the buses arent running. Flat rate to shuttle from place to place in Fairbanks for $5 per person with $15 minimum (3 people). Awesome bus driver too!
I ordered a shuttle from Denali to Fairbanks on 09/06. Due to the schedule conflict, I could no longer catch this shuttle so I asked my husband to call them to cancel the trip on 09/04.According to their policy, a cancellation requests 24 hours before the service will receive a full refund. However, I was still charged for the shuttle fees. When I contacted them for a refund, at the very beginning they asked me to send them the cancellation confirmation email which I have never received. Then later they directly ignored me. I have to go through my bank to cancel the charge. So I share my experience here to warn others that this company is not trustable. Better select other shuttle service companies for your Alaska trip.
I use Airlink for their Shuttle to Chena Hot Springs from Fairbanks, AK and very ponctuel, their staff is very friendly, I ws with my 14 yo daughter and it was perfect for the day. They were right on time both ways! great value, book them by calling them directly, better rates.
Very fast response and personable drivers.
I scheduled a shuttle from Anchorage to Denali. The day of the departure, I waited over an hour for the shuttle. It never came so I called customer service to be greeted by a dismissive employee who said that the shuttle wasnt running that day. Very confused, I asked a few questions, only to get the response Well refund you your money. Why they let me book a shuttle, receive an itinerary number and confirmation email when there was no shuttle even running that day is beyond me. Further, the employee didnt even ask for my name, itinerary number, email, etc in order to issue me a refund. Instead, he hung up on me when I said I had another question.Airlink, please update your website more often. To everyone reading this review, I would recommend using Alaska Tour & Travel. They were amazingly helpful and helped me get a shuttle that very day.
UNRELIABLE! NO SHOW! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.I booked a transfer from Seward to Anchorage. The day of transfer they did not show. I called to ask where they were and they said they canceled, but I did not receive a call or email canceling. They were not apologetic or helpful. They did not explain. My wife I were stranded and they offered no assistance. They also said they refunded my deposit, but I checked my account and they had not. Just a terrible company!
This was the only service we could find that could get us out to Chena Hot Springs on such a sort notice. We saw a moose along the way and stopped to take a photo. Our guide Betty was very friendly and gave us great tips about what to see and do in Fairbanks. Our group of six got an excellent price discount, too. I definitely recommend them.
Great Arctic Circle Tour. Talked to Ice Road Truckers. Snowed for awhile. Nice photos at Arctic Circle, Lovely Fall Colours. Saw the Aurora on way home. Fellow tour members were lovely people. Great experience.Jack or tour guide, ran a great tour, everything fell into place. Thanks Jack.
We saw a green and red aurora near the Yukon River. The trip is long but worthwhile. The Arctic Circle Certificates were an added treat. Our guide Michael spoke some Chinese because he was previously a teacher in Taiwan. We looked at other companies but they were quite expensive. Airlink seems to have a good balance between quality and price.
Great service. Very nice driver, toured us Fairbanks city. Memorial full last day in AK for our 2019 Christmas trip. Will come back. Happy New Year.
We recently took a trip to see the Northern Lights in Fairbanks AK. We are from Texas and did not feel comfortable with driving in snow and ice. We booked our transportation needs with Airlink Shuttle and Tours. Jeff was the best! He worked with us to personalize a schedule for our week there with drivers for each day we planned an activity. Each driver was courteous, professional, and always on time. It was absolutely the best decision we made for our trip. We highly recommend this company for any transportation needs you have in Fairbanks!
Don’t do the arctic circle tour with them! Their bus does not have a good air conditioning system. The bus is super cold (14F)in the winter. Feels like in the frozen fridge for 10+hours. You can see the picture attached which shows the extreme temperature in the bus.And the driver did not bring backup fuel so that we did NOT arrive to the Arctic circle monument.(which the shuttles from other company did bring and they made it to the Arctic circle the same day) So we end up in the frozen bus for 10+ hours and see nothing. This is my worst experience in Alaska! Avoid this company and choose somewhere else!
We had an excellent time on Airlinks Arctic Circle Tour. Our guide Michael was born and raised in Fairbanks and very knowledgable about Alaska history. We were able to see the northern lights and our guide even took extra time to stop so that we could setup our tripod and photograph the aurora. Thank you!
I cant appreciate them enough!! :) One of their wonderful team mates Betty just spent 30 mins with me to go over things to do in Fairbanks and around. Its helpful when planning a trip to talk to locals and she just made me feel welcome and excited about the trip!! Definitely going on book their shuttle and tour services.
Made me pay $40 for a return trip which cost $20 per person as I went alone and there was a two person minimum. Fine, I paid. On the way back drove the opposite direction of my return journey to pick up another group but refused to give me money back. Why should I pay for a 2 person minimum if there are other people in the van? They were flexible about where to drop me back in town and punctual, so pluses and minuses.
Amazing service and Jeff was great. Truly goes out of his way to make the customer happy. 100% satisfied.
I love Airlink
Fantastic transfer from Fairbanks to Denali. We were lucky to have Jack as our driver. Professional and extremely nice.
AMAZING & AFFORDABLE SERVICE!!!! Airlink’s great customer service made us sad to leave Fairbanks. We are definitely coming back to Fairbanks!
Picked us up from our hotel and driver was nice but we wanted to do some shopping. She failed to tell us that the shops downtown were all closed at the time we went and that the area was very sketchy with drug addicts running around every where. Waste of money and time because she failed to tell us and guide us in the right direction.
We had booked for arctic circle and northern lights through this company (airlink shuttle and tour)via Viator. They did not show up on time in spite of our confirming. Then they called and said that they have canceled the tour due to vehicle problems. They are the worst and did not give us time for scheduling with another tour operator.
I had an excellent Arctic Adventure under a blue sky with few clouds and temperatures that were in the 90s when we arrived at the Arctic Circle. Thank you, I had an amazing time.
We took a Denali flight and an Aurora journey to Joy, saw beauty/lights, had a heckuva time. Good job to Jeff!
The worst service, they didn’t even picked up for the tour, worst company in FairbanksWorst customer service everWe waited for 2-3 hrs they dint even respond
Wonderfull experiencie and great services. Always on time and good prices. Next time i will go to Artic circle and explore more Fairbanks tours. Thank you
The owner is amazing and he nice to people
Owner is rude
The tour almost kill meDO NOT take part in any tour from airlink. We, the family, joined the Arctic Circle Tour, ended up stucked on the deadly Dalton highway. The van got overheated, and the heater had gone. The van couldnt started and was pulled over on side where there was a turn close. We got frozen in -40 degree for almost 3 hours before someone brought us to a warm place. And another 2 hours for someone from Airlink to pick us up. The owner of Airlink was rude and impolite, we spent 14 hours and get nothing, we didnt even get sorry from him.Do not participate in any activities of this travel agency. Our family participated in the Arctic journey and drove to the most dangerous highway on the Dalton highway. The car smoked and could not move. We turned us on the car at the turn and minus 40 degrees. It took almost 3 hours for someone to help me reach a safe place, and I waited for 2 hours before letting us take a ride. The boss came with a very bad attitude. I waited for almost 14 hours.
